[spoiler=Card A]Tiki Guard

Continuous Trap

Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Rock-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 2100). (This card is also still a Trap Card.) While this card is treated as an Effect Monster, face-down cards you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. While this card is an Effect Monster, if a card or effect is activated that targets exactly 1 face-up Trap Card you control: You can Set this face-up card; Negate that card or effect.

[spoiler=Card B]Tiki Blessing

Continuous Trap

Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Rock-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 1900/DEF 400). (This card is also still a Trap Card.) If you would Special Summon a Trap as a Monster: You can have that card not be treated as a Trap Card as well as a monster while it is face-up on the field. If this card as an Effect Monster is destroyed: You can add 1 Trap Card that can Special Summon itself as a Monster from your deck to your hand.

Both of you decided to make Tiki Traps; well, guess we can make them a series now...

Card A prevents your backrow from getting blasted via MST or other forms of backrow removal that currently exists in the TCG, which is cool. The "protection" effect also works for stuff like CoTH or other Traps that you need to keep face-up, including itself, which helps this card. For S/T cards, you just end up with a dead card that'll likely hit the Graveyard, but if you negate something like Castel, Sliprider, etc, you still have a monster that you'll have to contend with.

Card B gives your other Trap Monsters the "Burgesstoma" clause if activated, which does give them protection from being MST'd AND frees up your S/T zones for other things that you need. That's one of the issues with Trap Monsters; you summon them and they take up 2 of your card zones; this at least frees up some space. Searching is fine, despite it only searching Burgesstomas and a bunch of other Trap Monsters that don't really see play nowadays.

So MST/backrow protection vs giving Trap Monsters a Burgesstoma clause. For practicality reasons, I'd have to go with A since it's more useful in the long run. B is nice though, but is pretty much limited to Paleozoics (but I don't know if they can really use this effectively).
