Sceptyr's Support: Cyberdark Rampage (9/9)

Righty then.

Long ago, I made a status about whether Cybers or Genex deserved more support substat. And Cyberdark won. But really, I've wanted to give that archetype a shot in the arm for some time. Really powerful (for its Level) at the time, and their Fusion Spell looked boss, especially for how big Cyberdark Dragon could get. But alas, no protection or proper support to make a Normal monster-utilizing trio of pithy machines could save it. (See, its funny because even I don't know whether or not I'm talking about Cyberdark or Genex here....ahahahahahah damn it.)

So I took to the drawing board again. Normal Monsters couldn't really work well with this, though I did think of a way of combining the Cyberdark with the Draconia engine. The only solution. Make an entire that doveetailed into the Cyberdark strategy-equip, pwn face (in small ways,) combine, do it all again. And I've done with a rather...awkwardly supported Type of the format these days.

For once I'll stop here and let my work tell the rest of the story. I present you with the Cyberdark Coalition.

BDS, signing off.

These cards definitely lived up to the name of the CyberDark; I'd definitely love to play any of the cards here. They can support themselves quite well as well as using generic dark support like Allure, Armageddon Knight, so on and so forth. Zero is by far one of the most unique boss monster I've seen, taking the CyberDark's gimmick to a neat extreme. I don't have any real complaints here on the actual cards but I'm rather curious if this version of CyberDark has any intention to synergize with its predecessor. If anything for a criticism I can't see why Dredge is a quickplay outside of being a faster, better Super Quantal Fairy Alphan.

Thanks mate.

And as for Dark Dragon Dredge-I actually make it 2 months ago, this thread yesterday, and just until the time I transferred it to here from Devi-Art, this card was a Normal Trap. But when I looked at this i realized tutoring wasn't going to do much good during the opponent's turn unless it's something like a hand trap. Since there's a good chance it may not be that-unless you go the 3-copy route, which is bonkers. So, I made it work at the same pace as a Normal Trap, but made it a Spell to take advantage of your opening turn as well.

That's understandable. I've come to realize something that I should have mention earlier Rampage is so slow it probably won't get much play. The effect is very nice but being a trap tends to mean just waiting on it next turn could lead to getting it destroy. It's a minor nitpick but maybe you should change the instant summon from activation as an effect for it being destroyed since. Something among the lines of "SS one Level 5 or Lower "CyberDark" monster" so it can have more use than a really slow Harpy's Feather Duster. Heck it could dump some CyberDarks to the graveyard instead to trigger their grave effects as soon as it's your turn, it'll give the deck a good boost in spend and helps thin the deck out for better draws.

Seems I can do you better than that mate. I'll rework the entirety of Cyberdark Rampage! Felt that the effect was a bit lackluster myself. Let's put some new kick in it!
