Pendulum Lore: You can target 1 monster you control that has a Level: return it to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon this card from the Pendulum Zone, and if you do that, its Level becomes equal to the returned monster's original Level.
 
Lore: 1 monster with 1000 DEF + 1 monster that is equipped with an Equip Card
You can also Fusion Summon this card by sending its Fusion Monsters from either field to the Graveyard (you do not use "Polymerization"). When this card is Special Summoned: You can pay 1000 LP: add 1 Equip Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Menos the Disarming Seraph" once per turn. When this card would be destroyed by battle, or when this card in its owner's control would be destroyed by your opponent's card effect while it is in the Monster Zone, place it in your Pendulum Zone instead.

Pendulum Lore: You can target 1 monster you control that has a Level: return it to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon this card from the Pendulum Zone, and if you do that, its Level becomes equal to the returned monster's original Level.
 
Lore: 1 monster with 1000 ATK + 1 monster that is equipped with an Equip Card
You can also Fusion Summon this card by sending its listed Fusion Monsters from either field to the Graveyard (you do not use "Polymerization"). When this card is Special Summoned, you can make the ATK of 1 face-up monster on the field 1000. Once per turn, during your opponent's turn: You can target 1 Equip Spell Card in your Graveyard; banish 1 card in your hand and 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field, and if you do, add that target to your hand. If this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect while in a Monster Zone, you can place this card in your Pendulum Zone instead.

 

 

 

So yeah, Instant Fusion got me thinking that maybe, just maybe, being able to utilize an easier Fusion Summon can work well in a combo. So Mas serves as the pipeline that nets you any Equip Spell you so please, and Menos nukes upon the presence of Equips. Pretty sure some good destruction-trigger decks (coughMetalfoeshackCrystronswheezeAncientGears) can make use of this. 'Specially since Level 3 and 6 leads to nice Xyzes. 

 

Also, look how beautiful. Seriously, I've wanted to use these two for ages, and finally feel the cards do them justice.

 

Kawaiiness aside, lemme know what you think of these first two Pendulum Fusions fresh out of the BlaDeS of Change Workshop.

Just as a heads up, as this is a pair of Pendulum monster I believe it would technically go in the regular Advanced Section, instead of Advanced Multiples.

 

 

Mas:

 

Pendulum: Don’t really see the need for the limit on the SS, seeing as it’s a Fusion monster, and it's actually kind of difficult to get into the Pendulum Zone. The effect of changing its Level seems a bit pointless, as why not just use the monster you already have for the Xyz, but it is appreciated, and I guess there are some cards you’d prefer in the hand, like Swift Scarecrow (maybe it should just be you can Special Summon it from the Extra Deck by this condition).

 

Monster: Honestly, I think adding an Equip Spell for free on summon would be fine. I mean Norden nets you a free Rank 4, and other than Moon Mirror Shield, I don’t see great generic Equip Spells that are that troublesome, and hey, it might give Noble Knights some much needed consistency.

 

 

 

Menos:

 

Pendulum: Kind of wish it had an effect that’d benefit Equip Spell Cards, like maybe retrieving them from the Graveyard for a cost, but it’s fine enough as is (just remove that restriction on what you can Summon).

 

Monster: You’d be completely fine making it so that the first effect only affects monsters your opponent controls, I mean Revolution Falcon basically does this, except better. Just put a HOPT on the destruction effect, as it is non-targeting, but maybe have it say it can only be “activated” instead of “used” so if it’s negated, you can still use its effect again if you get another one to the field.

These look deceptively really good, starting with their Fortress Dragon-ish removal. I mean, while you control a monster with 1000 ATK or DEF, basically any Equip Spell becomes a monster removal card, since you can Equip it to an opponent's monster and Contact Fuse the respective "Disarming Sister". This really gives Equip Spell a bit of power and even versatility by using them either for their effects, or as removal.

Then, monsters with 1000 ATK or DEF aren't that rare AFAIK: there is Aleister, which combos nicely with Wonder Wand; Monarchs including the Squires, although as downside these cards being in the Extra Deck will lock some of their cards, specifically Domain, but, alternate builds remain as a possibility; Shadow Mist and old Sangan, who will trigger their effects; also numerous Xyzs and Synchros that, as Extra Deck monsters, have an edge in accessibility.

Still, one has to keep in mind that these require Equips, and teching Equips in decks that run a few 1000 ATK-DEF monsters just for their sake may not be good for the deck. But, naturally these will shine in decks where most members have 1000 ATK-DEF and can afford Equip Spell techs, if not sinergize with a few of them. On the other hand, these not only can be Summoned with Equip Spells exclusively, also with Unions and monsters that become Equips can make them live (e.g. Graydles, who by the way, have Cobra a 1000 stat monster), further increasing their playability. At the very least they got side-deck potential.

I can already imagine these cards doing things in Gagagas, where both Magician and Girl have 1000 stats, and run an Equip in Gagagarevenge.

 

And I haven't mentioned anything about their effects yet xD

Seraph looks solid to me; it won't go into a Pendulum Zone when destroying itself with its effect, but that's ok. Oh, and I noticed how it can turn into Sprite by using the Equip you search on an opponent's monster; such an sneaky move.

And Sprite... destroying without targeting is sweet but the requirement of Equips on the field makes it situational and difficult to pop in multiples; not having an effect that places it in a Pendulum Zone when destroyed as most Extra Deck Pendulums do is a bit of a downside too, but nothing too drastic; and its protection effect is nice but, again, situational since it only covers Fusion monsters.

Then again, as Pendulum Monsters with Levels of 3 and 6 respectively, it shouldn't be too convoluted to Pendulum Summon them and re-use their effects, and that's a boon.

Also I kind of feel their restrictions of "only Pendulum Summon EARTHs" too heavy, but maybe it's for the best to keep them in check, and you can always use their bouncing effects to take them out of the Pendulum Zones and remove the lock anyway.

 

By the way, one of them being an Insect feels a bit odd to me since fairies and bugs are rarely related, but it's not a bad thing nor anything.

 

P.D. I find ironic how Mas, meaning "more", has a lower Level and stats than Menos, which means "less" (although its Scale is higher).

Plants and Insects have always had some peripheral synergy early in the meta, but that's been phased out somewhat.

 

Also, I'd normally go into some spiel about how the irony in Mas and Menos's names were purposefully unironic, but..yeah, I done goofed. Changing up both the effects to be more liberal in the Pendulum effects, and the big one-the new "Mas"-'s compatibility with the Equip Spell game.

Pendulum Effect: It's a decent Pendulum effect that can lead to setting up potential Xyz (or even Synchro) Summons.

 

Monster Effect: It has an effect that allows you to search out an Equip Spell Card, which is kept in check by a strict "once per turn" clause. And it has a nice effect that allows it to go to the Pendulum Zone when it's destroyed.

 

Mas: Translates to "more".

 

Pendulum Effect: Same as first card's.

 

Monster Effect: It's got a nice effect that can help set up more Mas and Menos. The Equip Spell effects seems like a convoluted cost, and not really worth the effort.

 

Both of these seem to revolve around Equip Spell Cards. I don't recall many Decks that use Equip Spell Cards, so I don't know many Decks that would see use of these two. Just Noble Knight and maybe Vylon. Or was this made to work around some build with Instant Fusion and Re-Fusion? Was that the intention for these cards?

Yeah, Re-Fusion was the original intent with these Disarming cards, along with some key revival Spells (Big Red, Gagagarevenge and Predator Graft, anyone?), but the second effect of Mas is to keep it from just looping away into more Menoses and vice versa.
