Cow's Character Castle

Recommended Posts

And the first up is a double-header....sorta! Camille Jade Issacs.

This character had two "forms" if you will. The character seemed to almost write itself as I made the app. I don't really remember the thought process but it all just sort of came together.

[spoiler=Male Maid]

Name: Camille Jade Issacs

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Race: Cybernetically-enhanced human.

Role: Maid

[spoiler=Appearance]lmoZ8T1.jpg

However most often has on a maid uniform.

Is 5'6" (about 170 CM) tall.

[spoiler=Personality]Camille is polite and extremely hard-working, and hates to leave a task unfinished. In fact he will often spend hours on one thing if not told to go elsewhere. He is difficult to startle when in “work-mode” but when not focusing on a task is jumpy and easily flustered. Is non-confrontational and submissive, so he often won’t correct people if they mistake him for a girl.

However Camille is highly competitive when it comes to video and arcade games, frighteningly so. And he becomes agitated if there is silence for too long.

Camille is decently comfortable talking with people, though is soft-spoken more often than not. However around animals (and certain animal-like races) he has trouble not panicking.

[spoiler=Biography]Camille's father is a scientist named Shane Issacs, president of the robotics company called Issacs Corporation. His mother left early in his life, and his father was too busy to take care of him, often leaving that to his servants. He had a happy life, more or less, until an accident that nearly took his life three years ago. He was brought back with the help of his father's technology, which made Shane much more interested in his son than before, as new opportunities arose.
His father began experimenting, seeing what he could improve on his new test subject...on his son. Eventually Camille was trained and programmed for maid duties, in order to be hired at Hotel Atlantica. Once his father realized he could’ve just programmed him for another, more gender-suitable roll, Camille was far too used to his current programming to be changed easily.

[spoiler=Abilities]Cybernetic enhancements have made Camille much stronger than a normal human, with improved reflexes and senses. He also has a cloaking device installed, however it stops working after only 12 minutes of use and must be recharged for several hours.

Camille also has mad gaming skills.

[spoiler=Daily Routine]Camille is most often doing chores, cleaning, serving guests, and whatever else he is asked to do. However when he has free time he's often playing video games or partaking in his secret hobby of people watching.

[spoiler=Miscellaneous]Has a fear of animals, and ghosts, especially afraid of ghost animals.

Keeps a music device on him at all times.

Feels uncomfortable in male clothing, however is very embarrassed about this fact.

Prefers to be called Cam, most people call him Cammy.

From Hotel Atlantica

The original Cam. This was literally my first RP character. Not including DnD. And even including DnD was my first forum RP character. Clearly I didn't really know what I was doing entirely. It's quite lacking compared to most of my other characters but, I think, the app has its own charm in its simplicity.

He came into existence in the silliest of ways. I saw Aix's status for the Hotel Atlantica RP, Which mentioned they needed more maid characters and more male characters. So, naturally, I had the thought "Why not both" and so I set out to create a male maid.

The idea was aided by Cam's father, Doctor Issacs, being a character I had in my head for story stuff for a while. One who was attempting to create life. So I realized a fairly simple, yet unusual, way to create a male maid. Robotics.

Cam was a fun character to play. He wasn't as outgoing as some but his reactions were absolutely priceless. I always enjoyed writing as him and it showed in how often I posted.

I really wanted to just keep going with him and seeing where it ended up. I learned a lot about him in the short time I got to play him. He had a heroic streak, and a romantic streak, which lead to me shipping him with Nai's character, the other maid.

However everyone in the HA chat seemed to enjoy shipping him with LITERALLY EVERYONE
EVEN THE DOG
ESPECIALLY THE DOG
YOU FREAKS

In any case, Cam is super near and dear to my heart as my first character and also just such a sweetie and delight to write.

I never had any place I felt I could put him again until much, much, later with the original Golden Gate Empire. And thus was born.....

[spoiler=Mega-Maid]Name:  Camille Jade Issacs

Gender: Male. No, seriously.

Age: 22

Species: Cybernetically-enhanced human

[spoiler=appearance]lmoZ8T1.jpg
Standing at five foot six, with a round face and large purple eyes, Cam looks fairly feminine. Perhaps not as much as some others around but he could easily be mistaken for either. Most people tend to have trouble deciding which gender he is. Which is where his outfit comes in. Cam is almost always wearing a maid outfit, a habit he picked up in a past job, and so many tend to assume he’s female.

[spoiler=Biography]Camille's father is a scientist named Shane Issacs, president of the robotics company called Issacs Corporation. His mother left early in his life, and his father was too busy to take care of him, often leaving that to his servants. He had a happy life, more or less, until an accident that nearly took his life seven years ago. He was brought back with the help of his father's technology, which made Shane much more interested in his son than before, as new opportunities arose.
His father began experimenting, seeing what he could improve on his new test subject...on his son. Eventually Camille was trained and programmed for maid duties, as all of Shane’s maids tended to quit. Once his father realized he could’ve just programmed him for another, more gender-suitable, roll Camille was far too used to his current programming to be changed easily.
Shane slowly started to build Camille to be more battle-capable, as the company started gearing more towards war machines. Shane discovered the Secret Cup tournament and pulled some strings to get Camille in it. The money would help him build an even bigger company. As would the advertisement. Camille, unable to refuse his father, accepted. Though he has his own plans for the money, a chance at freedom.

He gets aggressive and often vulgar when focused on a game.

He's uncomfortable when there is total silence. He needs some sort of noise or he gets even more antsy than usual. He dislikes being a bother though so he'll hold it in if he thinks that the people around him would be annoyed by sound.
Camille is decently comfortable talking with people, though is soft-spoken more often than not. However around animals (and certain animal-like races) he has trouble not panicking.

A kind soul, Camille is always wanting to help people whenever possible. Will often say yes to any request, that's not too far from his realm of comfort, even to strangers.
Very adverse to fighting, Camille has a “suppressor” installed that allows him to overcome his pacifist nature when in danger. However this doesn’t stop him from being morale. He refuses to kill under most circumstances.

[spoiler=Weapons and Powers]Weapon(s) of choice:  His own body

Power Array:
Cybernetic: Cybernetic enhancements have made Camille much stronger than a normal human, with improved reflexes and senses.

Cloaking: Cam has a basic cloaking device installed. However it can only run for several minutes and takes three hours to recharge. Still visible by the silhouette, just harder to see.

Force Palm: A strong concussive force emanating from Cam's palm. It is more or less a slightly ranged, increased force, punch. Only has a range of five feet, anywhere farther and it is mostly useless.

Mega Buster: Cam's arm morphs into a cylindrical weapon that launches an electrical blast that stuns foes. Can be charged for greater speed and distance. Starting range is 10 feet, every 10 seconds of charge increases the range by five feet, up to 30 feet maximum. 10 second recharge time. Max length of stun 3 seconds, minimum 1.5 seconds.

[spoiler=Misc]Has a fear of animals, and ghosts, especially afraid of ghost animals.
Keeps a music device on him at all times.
Feels uncomfortable in male clothing, however is very embarrassed about this fact.
Prefers to be called Cam, most people call him Cammy.
Also, has mad gaming skills.

From Original Golden Gate Empire

This is where Cam was a little more fleshed out. I wanted to try and get across the fact that he had a pretty messed up upbringing. His father was a horrible man and Cam had so many mental and social issues because of it. However I also wanted him to be older because, honestly, Cam in HA would never be able to fight.

...And that's where I felt I failed here. Cam isn't a fighter. And I put him in a tournament RP. Sure he was an extra character, made because the roster had openings that needed filling, but I should have been more careful with how I put him in.

Although I think I did a decent job at explaining why he'd be there. He was forced, as he was most his life, but he had a motive for winning. Freedom. The issues I had with him in GGE, though, was I was never sure how to play him entirely.

He never got to do much of his more charming, fun, and imo interesting, interactions. He never got to explore his messed up past and how it effected him. Never got to be the fun and goofy, yet subtly serious, character I envisioned. He fought, he died, he came back to life to fight more. And that's it. Granted it was my fault for letting it happen. But the way the fight had gone I couldn't see a way out without him dying.
Because he would never kill but his opponent seemed to not be able to be taken out without killing intent. Part of me is somewhat salty about this but it was mostly my fault for not being able to write a character who, while they wouldn't kill, was still determined to win.

It was nice to bring Cam back but I think I screwed up in how I brought him back. I forced him into it. I had the tools to put him in the RP more realistically but...I suppose I underestimated how over-the-top the fighting would get.

Cam never really had a chance. A gentle soul. Only real weapons being heightened physical ability (which everyone had) and a stun that actually was nerfed before the RP started. I did enjoy that I ended up just filling up his abilities (once a plot point happened and he went into overdrive basically) with literally Megaman weapons. But...While Cam is one of my most precious characters, the first version didn't last as long as I hoped and the second just....was never quite right and destined to die.

I hope one day to have an RP in which to play Cam again and actually give him the time he deserves.

And here we come up to my second character in RP. I had actually somewhat given up on RP because of how HA ended and Aix had to convince me to give this RP a chance. I didn't want it to not get the desired amount of players and I got convinced it would be fun. And thus was born...

[spoiler=Sniper not kitty]Username: Shooting Star
Name: Torben Orbus
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Race: Human
[spoiler=Appearance]AnimeGuy7edit.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]Torben is talkative, he loves to go on and on without really caring if anyone is listening. He is cheerful no matter the situation and is quick to laughter. Doesn't mind getting insulted and often plays along as if the insult was a joke.

At least that is what he shows. Inside he is brooding and observant. He pays close attention to the smallest of details and is quite serious when he has a goal in mind. He is always struggling with guilt and everything he does is an attempt to make up for the things he's done. Including his cheerful attitude. "This world has enough pain, why add more to it? That's just selfish." However he doesn't really think he deserves to be forgiven so he will keep going until he dies. He doesn't fear death, or killing when he has to. But he prefers to avoid both for as long as he can.

He can be overly protective of his allies, though he doesn't go out of his way to make them. Very forgiving of the faults of other people, unless they've caused others harm intentionally.In those cases he has no qualms about taking you down.

[spoiler=Motivation] Redemption. Torben feels he needs to do something with his skills to help others to make up for his cowardice leading to many deaths and this was the best way to do it.

[spoiler=Biography] Torben was the youngest of three orphan children, whose parents died in a fire when he was only 2. He and his brother, Nezar, were taken care of by their elder sister, Tresa, for the early years of his life. When he was 4 he was taken away by a group who trained him in the art of assassination. He hated himself for killing but knew he had to continue or else he would be next. He worked for them for years, but refused to kill parents, not wanting to make anyone else go through that pain. That was the promise he made to make himself feel better about his job. One day he was sent on a job, which he completed and afterwards found out the man he killed was the single father of three. This moment was when Torben mustered the courage to escape.

[spoiler=Abilities]

[spoiler=Combat]Torben uses Nen to enhance the power and precision of his sniper rifle, as well as the bullets themselves.

He is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat and can use Nen to enhance his strikes.

Torben has taken a Vow that he would lose all feeling in his arms if he ever caused the death of someone other than his target with his rifle.

[spoiler=Not combat]Skilled in math, related to gauging distance and the like.

Great eyesight.

Skilled in stealth.

Note: Nen abilites not accesable now, however still is a crack shot with his rifle and has decent hand-to-hand skills.

[spoiler=Miscellaneous][spoiler=theme song]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjWlHZ3EvuU

Always feels cold, no matter what, so wears warm clothing wherever he goes.

Very ticklish.

From Original HxH

This one was....not one I was super proud of. First of all let's get this out of the way. I had originally wanted to make a sniper cat-person. They would have been another Cam-like thing, as in, kinda a silly idea. (I eventually made what I more/less wanted in the remake, more on that eventually). But Yui had a cat-person and I, in my noobness, thought that having a second would be weird.

And so I made Torben. My little edgelord. Honestly I still love him for a few reasons. I like the personality I gave him buuuuut I feel I didn't play him well. It was partially due to my nervousness but he really should have been more talkative. I think I got turned away because the only times I tried to interact the RPer just...didn't respond, both times. So basically Torben ended up not being able to do much interactions and that made mostly only his inner thoughts come through which makes him seem a lot less interesting.

Also I am really annoyed I didn't explain why he was collected by the assassin group. (His latent potential plus his sister had been doing some...shady jobs on the side). I also have no idea why I made him so young. That was a stupid call that I regret.
Partially it was because I was rushing to make the character since my first idea fell flat but I should have looked it over again.

Anyway when it came to the actual RP I did like his abilities. Snipers are fun...However they don't work well in RPs because most of the encounters kind of make their style hard. Overall I think he had potential but I didn't know what to do with him and when I finally figured it out the RP was dead.

I did enjoy the psuedo-ship he had with the girl who he thought was a guy and was super confused over what he was feeling.

I also liked his kinda death-wish. He intentionally decided to try and make himself a target of Aix's antagonist. The one who Torben actually had knowledge of and new as a super dangerous guy.

One day, like with Cam, I might try and do something with this guy, and make him less...amateur.

Oh and another fun fact. Nezar and Tresa were past characters of mine, who, funnily enough, were linked to Cam's dad

And so, after looking it up, here comes the RP that had the best consistency and length of the three first RPs, DB. It helped make me have a bit more faith in RPs, though it also started me losing faith in individuals.
It was a wild ride.
I had two characters in the latter two reincarnations buuut there was one consistent one and one that was in the original, which is what I'm going by here.

[spoiler=Oh right spoilers are good: Kira]4jaud5j.jpg

[spoiler=RAWR]Gi6ssvy.jpg

Name: Kira Zemlya

Codename: Fissure

Age: 19

Gender: Female

[spoiler=Personality] Blunt and honest is the best way to describe Kira. She hardly ever thinks before saying anything, because she doesn't really care about saying something wrong. And because she believes that thinking too much leads to dishonesty. That being said she can lie easily to cover up her life as a demon hunter, and other such necessary issues, though she hates that she has to.

However she doesn't often speak more than a few words unless she feels it's necessary. Kira is pretty awkward when it comes to other people and there have been times that, when she can't think of words to say, she reacts with violence. Not out of anger, but merely because it's a simpler solution to many problems.

However Kira has a simmering anger that began after becoming tainted. And when she gets angry it's difficult to calm her down and she's likely to rage until she wears herself out.

[spoiler=Bio]Kira had a fairly calm and normal life. She got good grades, was a member of the track team at school, her parents were kind but strict. Nothing all too special. However she had a stalker. An F Class demon who was totally obsessed with her and followed her everywhere. One night on her way home after going to the grocery store late night she ran across the road while trying to avoid him and got hit by a truck. She lay there, bones broken, dying while her stalker approached. He killed the man who was driving and force fed her some of his own blood. She seemed to start recovering fast, however an anger welled up in her and she crushed the demon's skull between her hands before passing out.

She woke up in a hospital, with (Insert whoever member of the DHG is appropriate) who explained everything and convinced her to join. After all it seemed the simplest solution to the issue of obtaining demon blood. She kept up her grades decently well but quit the track team, and has continued with her work in the DHG after graduating.

[spoiler=Abilities] Gaea's Embrace: Massive amounts of strength, able to crush skulls with her bare hands, enough to wield her kanabo with ease in one hand. However it far exceeds this amount and she has enough raw strength to toss a car.

Rolling Temblor: Can create seismic shock-waves at will, by placing either hand on the ground (moves in a straight line or area-of-effect centered on her) or slamming her kanabo against it(Just AoE).

Her kanabo is reinforced with special metal that allows it to not shatter from her strength and also be extra damaging to demons.

[spoiler=Other]Still lives with parents

[spoiler=Theme]

Basically the title grabbed me, and the slow and solid sound of the song just seems to fit a calm Kira.

[spoiler=Battle/Rage Theme]

Pretty easy to tell why this one. The name again. Plus the violent and jarring sounds just work perfect for when she's getting into rage mode.

Kira is, physically speaking, the strongest of the hunters.

Oh I guess I'm joining. Let me know if there's anything I should add. And let me know if I need to describe the abilities better...or if they're underpowered seeing as I have a knack for doing that.

From Original DB

Kira. She was originally created because I saw a bunch of people coming up with some strange and semi-complicated abilities and I was like "Well...how about just strength. All strength." And so Kira was born. She was actually inspired in part by a bonus character from Soul Calibur 4 who I liked, Kamikirimusi hence the weapon choice. And the name in a sense.

She was originally from a story (my first instance of creating a character based on a story character) which I had never gotten around to writing. Because she was part of a future project. Basically a normal girl who almost died and was possessed by a spirit of Earth that had been trapped in the material world. As you can see it fit the idea of Demon Blood (People tainted by demons and given powers).

The thing I most wanted to get across was that she had trouble controlling her power to an extent that caused issues. From the start I showed her power can cause her to hurt things and people without really trying. At first she just felt bad about it but I delved deeper into this in later installments. She originally was meant to be somewhat simple and a sorta....straight-man to some of the more wacky characters in the group.
It was a lot of fun and I actually got to do a decent amount with her. Even got into the start of a relationship that I was excited to see how it'd flourish. It was a pretty exciting concept to me at the time.
It was also fun going ham with her strength and doing ridiculous things with it.

But DB sadly died due to too many people losing interest. But it was brought back, and I knew I had to bring back my beloved character, and thus...

[spoiler=Kira]
4jaud5j.jpg
"...Go away."
Name: Kira Zemlya
Codename: Fissure
Home Branch: American Branch

Age: 20

Gender: Female

[spoiler=Appearance]

Gi6ssvy.jpg
Kira is surprisingly not too tall, given her strength. She stands at 5'5". However she's solid, at an even 154 pounds. Her hair is long, which she knows isn't very practical but she likes it better that way. Generally she wears very bland and boring clothing, jeans and a t-shirt. She has a thick coat that was given to her by her parents when she left home. It's powder blue and poofy. She doesn't care that it looks ridiculous, she loves it because it's the last thing she got from her parents.
Has a scar around her neck, which she got during the Chernabog fight.

[spoiler=Personality]Blunt and honest is the best way to describe Kira. She hardly ever thinks before saying anything, because she doesn't really care about saying something wrong. However Kira has a simmering anger that began after becoming tainted. And when she gets angry it's difficult to calm her down and she's likely to rage until she wears herself out.
Has become even more reserved over the years, and instinctively pushes others away. Has a habit of guilt-tripping herself.

 [spoiler=Bio]Kira had a fairly calm and normal life. She got good grades, was a member of the track team at school, her parents were kind but strict. Nothing all too special. Kira eventually discovered, after the Russian incident, that her grandfather that had gone missing several years ago was alive. Not only that but he was a Hunter, one of the few to survive in the Russian branch. She jumped on the opportunity to go to Russia and help out, alongside her partner Morgan. She told her parents she was searching for her grandfather, and left it at that.

[spoiler=Abilities]Gaea's Embrace: Massive amounts of strength, able to crush skulls with her bare hands, enough to wield her kanabo with ease in one hand. However it far exceeds this amount and she has enough raw strength to toss a car.

[spoiler=Other]

Gets constant calls from her parents.
[spoiler=Theme]https://youtu.be/ypey6fPcHhQ

[spoiler=Battle/Rage Theme]https://youtu.be/VgLeFbUOaRk

Kira is, strictly speaking on pure strength, the strongest of the hunters.

The battle with Chernabog shook Kira up greatly, and she refuses to talk about it. Any mention of the incident in anything but serious tone will anger Kira greatly
She believes she's at fault for the death of Occulus.
Kira respects few people, and those are several of her fellow American branch Hunters (most notably Morgan, Anton, and Gemini) as well as her grandfather.

From DB Sequel

Sorry for the weird formatting i had to c/p it instead of quoting :T

Anyway this is after a year passed after OG DB and so, naturally, I would have to make some changes. First was that she would have had even more time with her powers. This usually would mean she'd have time to get over her issues BUT a couple things came to mind.

I don't know what she went through in the year since OG DB didn't get that far. So for all I know she had even more traumatic incidents.

She never technically got someone to help her as far as I knew so she'd have kept it all inside.

And the death of her leader would have shaken her up.

All this combined....to make Kira even more unstable. I really wanted to get more into that side of her and I think I did a great job with it honestly. I was even praised by a couple people who don't often make such comments on a certain scene where she has a break down.

It was painful to put her through this but it also felt like the natural thing to do. And it was nice to actually get a chance to explore more of her issues since I was more confident.

Something else I got to do was introduce her grandpa, who I had, away from the original, figured out a few things about. Because we happened to be going to Russia which happened to be where he was. So that was yet another fun bit of interaction I was able to do.

The one thing that slightly bugged me was that Morgan and Kira (the budding relationship) would, naturally, have gotten farther in their relationship. So I didn't get the fun of building on that.

And a fun fact is that I had planned a possible ending for her was her going mad, attacking comrades, and her grandpa trying to stop her. However because he finds he can't bring himself to hurt her as much as he'd have to, she would end up killing him, and, if not stopped, when she calms down, killing herself.

Poor girl, I put her through so much....

Overall I am satisfied with what I was able to do with her and kinda proud of my RPing here. Sadly it didn't last long. But I got another shot with her once the original DB was entirely rebooted.

[spoiler=Third Time's a Charm][spoiler=General Information]Name: Kira Zemlya

Alias: Fissure
Age: 19

Gender: Female

[spoiler=Appearance]7Xu6XRa.jpg

Kira is surprisingly not too tall, given her strength. She stands at 5'5". However she's solid, at an even 144 pounds. Her hair is long, which she knows isn't very practical but she likes it better that way for reasons she doesn't go into. Generally she wears very bland and boring clothing, jeans or shorts and a t-shirt. She has a scarf that she wears despite the temperature. Because it was the birthday present her parents gave her before leaving home.

[spoiler=Personality]Blunt and honest is the best way to describe Kira. She hardly ever thinks before saying her opinion, because she doesn't really care about saying something wrong. And because she believes that thinking too much leads to dishonesty. That being said she can lie easily to cover up her life as a demon hunter, and other such necessary issues, though she hates that she has to. And, while she doesn't lie, she tries to avoid the subject of her own feelings.
She doesn't often speak more than a few words unless she feels it's necessary.
This troubles her greatly, as she struggles with her powers. She believes that she's dangerous to be around, and that all she can do is break things. Her fighting style is aggressive and violent but she isn't completely in control of herself during this. It's difficult for her to accept what she does and who she is. Part of her is desperate for a normal and boring life, but her desire for doing good and the fact that she needs demon blood to survive drives her to continue the work she hates.

[spoiler=Biography]Kira had a fairly calm and normal life. She got good grades, was a member of the track team at school, her parents were kind but strict. They didn't often give her much, besides love, and she learned to treasure gifts. She didn't avoid other classmates but only occasionally went out with them. She was fairly liked by everyone, with an occasional person who didn't agree. Nothing all too special. However she had a stalker. An F Class demon who was totally obsessed with her and followed her everywhere. One night, while she was only recently 17, on her way home after going to the grocery store late night she ran across the road while trying to avoid him and got hit by a truck. She lay there, bones broken, dying while her stalker approached. He killed the man who was driving and force fed her some of the demon's own blood. She seemed to start recovering fast, however an anger welled up in her and she crushed the demon's skull between her hands before passing out.
She woke up in a hospital, where a DHG member explained everything and convinced her to join. After all it seemed the simplest solution to the issue of obtaining demon blood. She kept up her grades decently well but quit the track team, and has continued with her work in the DHG after graduating. She had moved to Kansas after turning 18, but not before one last birthday with her parents. She didn't tell them where she was going but, as her parents assumed she'd want to go somewhere cold, having always been interested in their homeland of Russia, they gave her a scarf for a present.

[spoiler=Abilities/Skills]Kira's power is extremely simple. Massive strength. She is, purely physically speaking, the strongest hunter in the DHG. Her strength is so immense that she can lift cars with it. And the steel kanabo she carries can be easily wielded in one hand, to devastating effect. She has been known to cause tremors when smashing into the ground, hence her alias.

[spoiler=Other]-Her parents call her often.
-Kira's weak point is her hair. As in, she likes it being brushed or petted, but refuses to show this and feels awkward when people attempt it.
-This is due to her mother having brushed her hair while singing to her when she was younger. Also why she doesn't like cutting her hair.
-Really loves singing as well.

From DB Reboot

And she got an image change! Because I grew annoyed at having canon character images for my characters. Plus I feel this one shows how normal of a girl she actually is a lot better.

I elaborated more on her personality here...but not much really. Her personality was always simple but effective and I liked it that way.

Honestly I feel I rushed her so far with this one. Her growth in the first was slow because I was inexperienced and unsure how to go about it fully. (Granted it was still decent). Her growth in the second was fun because I got to see her at a bit of a more unstable point.

However in this one she's already unstable, almost to the point she was in Russia. Which I think was due to me being like "sheet those two died I need to make sure I do what I want with the character". So I'm currently in the process of figuring out just how far to go. It's hard to reboot a character this many times and honestly I'm unsure I'll bring her into another DB if this one doesn't work out.

She was actually inspired in part by a bonus character from Soul Calibur 3 who I liked, Kamikirimusi hence the weapon choice.

KAMIKIRIMUSI WAS IN SC4 YOU UNCULTURED HEIFER!

Anywho, I tend to keep to my own database thread, but I just wanted to pop in and say Kira's been one of my favorites since the original DB. Not just because of the yuri ship either. As you said, her power was pretty straightforward in an RP where a lot of people were complicating things a bit, and I liked that. Her strength shenanigans were fun to watch, and the surprise ship made things much more interesting. I am also a sadistic god, so while I did hate seeing her suffer in Russia, I at the same time was looking forward to what would happen next in her self-destructive spiral. All in all, it's been a pleasure hosting the RPs she's been in, and I look forward to continuing to do so.

Right, this exists.

So, this character. Technically another was first by a couple days buuut the OOC was posted first and so...

[spoiler=Naomi]

Full Name: Naomi Reveur

Age: 16

Gender: Female

[spoiler=Appearance]on27W6F.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]Naomi is excessively chill. She doesn’t seem to ever get upset or lose her carefree attitude. This chill personality tends to make her lazy. She doesn’t like to do more than the bare minimum that is required to. And has been known to get sulky, though never upset, when her sleep is interrupted. She absolutely loves to spoil her Pokemon however and will go to whatever lengths to help them when they’re in need. She loves scary things and thrills, despite her relaxed nature.

When it comes to other people, Naomi doesn't really care how they look or what they do as long as they don't hurt others. She doesn't like excessive violence no matter the reason. Only gets worked up when someone is being forced to do things that go against any other person's chosen way of life.

Thinks of Pokemon as people and tries to be as respectful to them as she would another human being. She is a bit bothered by the idea of catching them and fighting but realized that the Pokemon weren't against it. However she would never force one to fight.

[spoiler=Bio] Born in Kalos, she was raised in Laverre City and grew up on stories of fairy tales and ghost stories. She ate that stuff up, reading all the stories she could. Her parents were often gone, for reasons unknown, so those stories were her babysitter. Eventually she was brought a gift, a Pokemon partner, to help keep her company while her parents were away. She named them Princess, and spoiled the thing as much as she can.

Soon after she discovered where her parents had gone. They were both Pokemon thieves. They were arrested and Naomi was alone. She was supposed to go live with her grandparents. They were kind people but they were farmers and she knew she'd be forced to work. Naomi decided to travel instead, eventually settling on going to Hoshi Island.

Origin: Came from Kalos,

Starter Pokemon: Princess the Rhyhorn

[spoiler=Misc]Princess has a big pink bow attached to her head.

From Pokemon, the Forbidden Star

My most precious child, Naomi. Many who talk to me will know of this girl. For I mention her a lot. She's quite literally my favorite RP character I've ever done. When I saw a Pokemon trainer RP I knew I had to jump on board. But what kind of character to make? Strangely, the answer came quite easily. I had done several more aggressive characters and some strange ones and so I decided to go completely opposite. I decided to make the simplest character I could make. A nice girl who was really lazy and had trouble staying awake. She's actually loosely based on a narcoleptic character of the same name I had for my stories who, ironically, fought monsters with her bare hands when she wasn't sleeping.

Let's start with her name. It actually means "Pleasant Dreamer" which I found delightful and just charming so I went with it.

Looking over the personality again I find it a bit confusing myself but basically what I wanted was someone who was chill and sleepy but I thought it'd be fun to have her enjoy spooky stuff. In a sense it was to help with her "chill" demeanor. Scary things just made her smile.

I love how simple the bio was. At the time I was nervous it wasn't enough and there are times I think "Wow that was lame" but it really does fit for her to have something fairly simple.

And last I should talk about Princess. I have no idea how I decided upon a Rhyhorn named Princess but it happened and I am so glad it did because Princess was about as fun to write as Naomi.

Every post with Naomi was interesting to me. She was funny and I was proud of all of what I did with her. I never had a moment where I felt I was betraying myself for the sake of the plot, with her, and that is really refreshing. She was unique in that she just went with whatever was happening and this let her be part of anything but also not be too attached to things.
I had a lot of fun with the relationship with her and Durendal's character. Naomi unknowingly making her flustered was always delightful.

And having Naomi be pretty laid back even in a fight was so refreshing for me.

Sadly the RP died in a way that honestly made me kind of bitter about RPs and Naomi was gone.

However I knew I had to use her again. And that chance came with....

“Guys, we should...we should just relax and...and...zzzzzzz"

Personal Information:
Name: Naomi Reveur
Nicknames/Aliases: Pleasant Dreamer
Age: 18
Gender: Female (She/Her)

[spoiler=Appearance]
on27W6F.jpg
5‘7“ (170 cm) and 144 pounds (65 kg) Has nearly permanent bed-head.

Tends to dress in warm and comfy clothing.

As she nods off very often, however, she has learned to slowly wake herself up whenever needed.
Only gets truly worked up when someone is being forced to do things that go against their chosen way of life (within limits, she won’t be upset with someone stopping a robbery, for instance).
Thinks of Pokemon as people and tries to be as respectful to them as she would another human being. She is a bit bothered by the idea of catching them and fighting until she realized that the Pokemon weren't against it. However she would never force one to fight.

[spoiler=Background]Naomi grew up on stories of fairy tales and ghost stories. She ate that stuff up, reading all the stories she could. Her parents were often gone, for reasons unknown, so those stories were her babysitter. She was a very easy to handle child so she didn’t often get into trouble. Eventually she was brought a gift, a Rhyhorn Pokemon partner, to help keep her company while her parents were away. She named them Princess, and spoiled the thing as much as she can.

Soon after she discovered where her parents had gone. They were both Pokemon thieves. They were arrested around Naomi’s 16th birthday and Naomi was alone. She was supposed to go live with her grandparents. They were kind people but they were strict and she knew she'd be forced to work. Naomi decided to travel instead, running from home and exploring the region.

She tried to keep out of trouble, but trouble found her quite often. Including in the form of running into some Legend Hunters. She was disturbed that these people would do something so terrible and she tried to prevent them from fulfilling their distressing goal whenever she got the chance. Naomi was sleeping on a bench when she was awoken by a gentle presence prodding her psychically. The perpetrator was Cresselia who had been injured in a fight with a Hunter. She had come to Naomi after looking into the girl's heart and liking what she saw. She asked Naomi for assistance and Naomi readily agreed, once she realized that the Pokemon was in danger. Naomi fended off the attackers that were after Cresselia and they quickly formed a bond. One that Naomi had ever felt with her precious Princess.

Two years ago, Naomi lost someone close to her. She was in a relationship that lasted several months before suddenly it was taken away from her. She doesn't talk about, or think about if she can help it, this often. The details are vague but the most that was ever gotten out of her was that "One day she just...vanished."

[spoiler=Theme Song]

From [PKMN] Tournament of Legends

Now, this RP called for a higher level of power than Naomi really should have. But I thought it was my only chance to bring her back in a way that made any sense. Because who better to attract the attention of Cresselia than the sleepy kind-hearted Naomi? It made sense to me at the time and, since Cress is one of my favorite legends, it felt like a match made in heaven.

You might notice that she's older, there's reason for that. As put in the bio, she "lost someone close to her" that "just vanished". This I admit was a small jab at the death of the previous RP she was in and the fact that the host, who played the character Naomi was getting attached to, vanished.

It was actually really hard to come up with how she and Cresselia met, given her nature, but I settled on what I still think is sort of a cop-out. But hey, it works.

I gave her an entire team, some of which were Pokemon she caught while the previous RP was going, such as Jumpluff and Slurpuff. From there I basically started to think "What WOULD Naomi's team be?" And the obvious answer was to find the chillest Pokemon I could. And then slap a Skarmory on there because SOMEone needs to transport her around the skies.

And so the RP. It went...well it kinda went badly. Mostly because it died off really fast and when we got into our first actual confrontation. It was sad because I was loving what I was doing with Naomi. She still had the same attitude that I loved to write but she had a bit more experience so she was able to come up with some surprisingly wise words (particularly towards Renegade's character, Darkrai's guardian, who we worked out a sorta plotline for the two of them).

She also had a small bit of sadness about what happened to her "friend". Which usually I worry about it overtaking the character, that sort of sad/traumatic thing, (like with Kira) but it worked well here because Naomi doesn't dwell.

It DID give me an amusing chance to decide Naomi liked twintails. Due to the character she interacted with most in both RPs (Durendal's in the previous, Sethera's in this) had twintails.

I enjoyed writing Naomi just as much this time. She had fun moments, and a couple nice somewhat serious (in her own way) moments.

And I got to expand upon Princess too, making her into even more of a character. Her love of Naomi and her willingness to wake her up in the most sudden ways were delightful.

The RP ended WAY too soon but I hold Naomi very dear to my heart and will be on the lookout for a chance to let her shine once more.

Now this character was the one that was technically made before Naomi. *stares at Ren* There's a bit of a change as I gave them a new image because I was bothered by using a "canon character" even though I don't know what the character is from.

[spoiler=Brianna]Name: Brianna Malkut
Aliases/Nicknames: Maelstrom
Age: 22
Gender: Female

[spoiler=Original Appearance]ECyKqmP.jpg

5'8" 138 lbs.

[spoiler=New Appearance]0H4QKsV.jpg?1

[spoiler=Personality]Brianna is a complete and utter jabroni. She really doesn't care if she hurts you or your poor feelings, as long as she gets what she wants in the end. She isn't concerned about lying and using whatever advantage she can to meet the goal. She also doesn't bother setting a goal if she doesn't see how it could help her. However she does have an annoying guilty concious that occasionally kicks in and makes her do the “right thing". Although she is usually loud about her distaste of the idea. One positive trait is her strong belief of not judging someone based on anything but their actions. That being said she usually is negative about people until they have proven otherwise. Usually by helping her in some endeavor. She loves to laze around, however she's impatient so if there's anything she's waiting for she can't sit still, and often gets even more prone to snapping when waiting for too long. She is constantly torn between wanting action, and desiring a quiet and easy life.

[spoiler=Backstory]Brianna was raised by a single mother, a very strict and hardworking woman. Who tried to teach her daughter the importance of class and elegance. Brianna of course was having none of that, and joined a criminal group at a young age. She slowly made her way up the ladder, becoming one of the boss' top members. She then betrayed him and took him down, bringing him to justice, for a hefty profit, and earning the attention of many. She was surprised but only slightly to receive her invitation.

[spoiler=Pokemon]Name:Manectric

Nickname: Arc
Gender: Male
Ability: Static
Moves: Thunder Bolt, Flamethrower, Ice Fang, Roar
Additional Information: Extremely protective of Brianna and prone to using Roar way too much.

Rash Nature.

Has a Mega Stone.

Also owns a Gyrados, Golem, Froslass, Shiftry, and Talonflame. Not with her at the moment.

[spoiler=Other Information]
[spoiler=theme]

Once encountered Thunderus and got destroyed in battle with it.
Stole her former boss' Mega Ring and now wears it on her left hand, index finger.

From Pokemon: Transcendence

This one was interesting. She came into existence because of the theme song, actually. I was trying to think of a character idea, heard the song, and thought "I got this". I was tired of playing nice characters honestly and wanted to try and make one who was, frankly, a jerk. I wanted a strong, independent, unabashedly jabroniy character and Brianna came into existence.

I gave her a bit of a conscious because I felt it made little sense to be totally evil but I wanted to make it clear that she was NOT a nice person, even if she did the right thing sometimes.

That's an idea I was always fascinated by. People who could still be considered heroes of a sense even if they are honestly not good people.

And it was so fun to get to play that.

I gave her a really simple backstory because I was new and that's all I thought I should do...Honestly I kinda miss that. There's a lot to it though. Having been part of an "evil team" (which I meant to be similar to Team Rocket in danger to the populace) and taking them on herself really left some scars on the girl and I enjoyed hinting at some of that in the RP. For instance Brianna feels there's a big difference between what she did and Pokemon battles because she was fighting for her life against many opponents.

I am trying to remember which came first. Arc or my usage of Mega Manectric on Showdown. In any case Manectric wasn't a Mon I thought of much but it just seemed to fit her WAY too well. Plus I decided to give her a Mega because she totally would be the type to go for that kind of power. It also showed that she CAN bond with someone.
And Arc is extremely close to her. A character in the RP almost found that out the hard way when they mocked Arc himself. Brianna can laugh off personal attacks but not attacks on her partners.

I didn't want to go over the top with a competitive moveset but I knew Arc NEEDED an Ice attack and so I used its low physical attack to balance it out and gave Ice Fang.

Her other Pokemon I mostly tried to think of skillful yet intimidating Pokemon and that's what I came up with. Just seems to fit her.

Looking at the other characters I feel I should have had her beat Thundurus but too late for that. I like to think this was early in her life.

Brianna was a blast and seemed to always keep the spotlight on herself without me even trying too hard. She had an attitude but knew it and reveled in it so it came off, to me, as more interesting than annoying. There was so much I wanted to do with her, so much I wanted her to experience, and honestly I was really into expanding upon her as we went on.

It was really fun seeing everyone (In the IC) write her off as a jerk when she was legit extremely competent.

She is definitely one of my favorite characters and probably why I ended up creating another not so nice character, Morgan, later on. I most certainly would love to get to use Brianna again and really strut my stuff because I honestly thought I did a great job with her posts (and I don't think that all too often).

Sadly the RP she was in abruptly died but maybe she'll get another chance.

Oh and fun fact: Her name actually means "Strong evil jabroni" sooooo

Next...ANOTHER Pokemon character...sort of. This one is actually interesting in that he's originally a major story character I used for this RP.

I really need to find a new image for this guy...

[spoiler=Treasure Hunter]
Name: Zack Ultin
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Trainer class: Burglar (Er, treasure hunter)
Native Region: Sinnoh
[spoiler=Appearance]CGvLbeo.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]Strongly optimistic, Zack doesn't want to give up on anyone or anything. He refuses to believe that anyone can't be saved until they reach a certain point of horrible. In that case he will do whatever he can to stop them if he can. He fancies himself a treasure hunter, and is obsessed with finding anything rare and expensive. However he doesn’t mind taking these things from other people. He only won’t steal if that person needs it to survive, are poor, or its a treasured item for reason other than appearance or value.
Friendly in nature; many people seem to think well of Zack, as long as he hasn’t robbed them of course. When a situation arrises he’s the first to try and help, sometimes by taking charge himself. Plenty of others he had met over the years seem to see him as a leader and look towards him for guidance, though he has troubles seeing himself in any leading position.
Zack blames himself for other's mistakes often. If a friend gets into trouble or messes up while with Zack, he can't help but blame himself and think he should've done more to prevent it.

[spoiler=Biography]Zack was born in Celestic Town, where he was raised by a simple carpenter for many years. His life was fairly uninteresting, but good. He was friends with all the kids, and was thought of as the leader of the youngsters, even the often picked on Sein. He latched onto Sein and protected him. Though he couldn’t protect the boy from Sein’s father, who often hurt him. One day, when they were both 13, a strange man entered the town and attacked it, seemingly after some sort of ancient artifact the mayor owned. Sein, an oddly gifted trainer for his age, decided to help the man for reasons unknown. The man was beaten however, by an equally mysterious officer who had been chasing after him. This was not before Sein’s father was killed in the battle by the mysterious criminal. Sein was let off the hook due to his age, however everyone in the city shunned him and he was forced to leave. Zack followed with and promised to stick with him, knowing he must have had some reason for his actions.
Zack took to thievery fast, and quickly became an expert. He and Sein were a powerful team (including some mercenary work) with Zack’s skills and Sein’s intelligence and strategy, for several years until Sein vanished one night.
Zack continued on his own, traveling and finding many artifacts and treasures along the way. Most of the money not used to travel and survive was stored away in secret locations, to be used at a later date to create a facility to raise abandoned children and Pokemon.
Heard a rumor from one of his many friends over the world that Sein was spotted in the Acahra region and so he put himself forth to join the expedition and was accepted.

It later was found to be the fault of a mad scientist and his Ditto, who Zack stopped, and then took Kit in as his own. She is horrible around other people and Pokemon, besides Zack and his team. However she has a fierce side that comes out very rarely. Is more confident when wearing her sunglasses, which Zack have to her as a Zorua and told her they have magic power.

[spoiler=Items in Bag]A photo album half full of pictures he and Sein took over their travels.

Lock picks and other such “tools of the trade".

Carving knife and an assortement of self-made wooden Pokemon figures

[spoiler=Skills/specializations]Zack has great reflexes and has amazing perception and skill for finding hidden items, traps, doors, and other such things. Calls himself a treasure hunter but he has the skills of a thief.

[spoiler=Misc. Info]Thinks of Sein as his brother, and will refer to him as such.

From Pokemon: Expedition Acahra

Alright so this RP. Zai had to convince me a bit to do this thing but once it got started I was pretty hype. It seemed like a fun and new kind of Pokemon story and I really was looking forward to seeing what we could do.

But I had an issue. I had no idea what to do for a character. A big problem for the co-host I'd think. So I decided to take from my story characters, similar as to what I did with Naomi and Kira, but I didn't want to use the ones I didn't get to write elsewhere. I decided to go with one of my first story characters. One of the major characters for my main plotline.

Basically, without spoiling too much, Zack was a somewhat naive but skilled young man who was looked up to by the kids of his remote village in the snow. He was extremely attached to another of the kids, a young man who was picked on a lot, Sein. The idea was that Sein uncovered something he shouldn't have and was forced to leave his village. (Basically a demonic possession kind of thing). Zack went with him because he's honestly way more dependent on Sein than Sein is to him, despite being physically and socially superior. Similar to Caramon and Raistlin Majere from Dragonlance.

It was kind of awkward writing up the bio trying to get that across but I went with what I did and linked it up with a group of cultists that would have appeared in Acahra. I intended to have Sein be a villain in the RP and for Zack to have to struggle with trying to do the right thing and trying to help and reunite with Sein.
Had considered having Zack die in battle against Sein in the endgame in a way that'd let the rest of the characters be victorious.

I didn't feel I wrote Zack as well as I should've...well the short time Acahra was around didn't help. But I wanted him to be almost manically optimistic, eventually showing that his optimism is actually a shield to keep out negative thoughts so he didn't just cave to the pressure.

The leadership thing is extremely important. Zack's biggest trait is just how good at leading and getting people to work with him he was. But on the same coin he didn't think he was good at it. Basically he never was satisfied with his abilities and would try and avoid leading but naturally do it anyway.

He's a fun character and I really wished I was able to show more of him here.

And now for the Pokemon. The personalities are fairly simple but all of them I really loved writing.

I loved connecting the first three Pokemon to Sein. It showed just how closely the two interwove their teams. Granted for different reasons. Zack because of his (brotherly) love of Sein and Sein because he wanted to obtain stronger Pokemon. And Zack's other Pokemon were meant to show how Zack tended to help others naturally and gain allies easily....Plus I really wanted to have a Maractus on a team. :P

Also Yang is a HUUUUUGE troll with that moveset good lord.

I didn't get much time for Zack to do much. The few actions that did happen were enjoyable but it was a very short-lived RP. I doubt I'll have Zack as a character for a future RP but he's certainly got a lot to do in my stories yet. ;)

This one was tricky to get because RINNE LOVES TO LOCK HIS THREADS. Spoilers got messed up so got rid of them. Anyway for one that actually wasn't in the RP itself I present (with updated image included)....

[spoiler=Natasha, the Paladin]

klkp5up.jpg?1
“.......” (Everyone, please, remain calm.)

Personality Information
Name: Natasha
Epithet: The Silent Avenger
Age of Appearance: 18-22
Sex: Female
Appearance:http://i.imgur.com/VEgVPVM.jpg?1
Slightly above average height, Natasha is neither large nor small. She often sports a calm and peaceful look on her face. Her skin is pale, and in combination with her silver hair gives an almost angelic look to her. Most people would describe her as pretty, however her image is that of an untouchable beauty.
Her body is slim, but muscular, and has breasts on the smaller side of things. She says it's much easier to deal with that way, which seems to indicate her real life self is somewhat more well-endowed.
She's usually wearing armor, even when in safe cities, but when she's out of armor she tends to wear well-fitted but simple clothes.

She tries to keep up appearances to look somewhat presentable, however other than that she doesn't worry too much.

Her armor looks like the armor in the picture, however it is more bulky and thick by virtue of being heavy armor.

New Appearance:Tu5FxsX.jpg?1

Personality: Natasha is a very calm and friendly person, despite her mutism. Or perhaps because of it. She treats everyone with respect and is probably the best listener you’d ever meet. She takes time to pay attention to everything others say and always attempts to help them out with whatever problem they are having. She has a soothing demeanor that has often helped her out in negotiation situations and can have an effect of people in trouble being drawn to her.

She is extremely caring and feels a nearly physical compulsion to protect others. Not just physical protection either. She is part knight, part councilor, part mother-figure. Natasha attempts to console those who are struggling with the horrible situation that has befallen them.
She isn’t highly religious, however she does have faith in some sort of higher power that wants them to succeed and do good deeds. Even though she was born mute she sticks to this belief. It’s part of what got her through life, despite her dream of being a police officer like her father being all but unobtainable due to the circumstances of her birth.

Natasha utterly detests anything unjust and evil. She has admitted that this comes from her father’s real world job. She can occasionally be somewhat narrow-minded when it comes to wrong-doings, though she struggles to keep her cool. Being on Natasha’s bad side is practically a death sentence, as she is stubborn when it comes to righting wrongs and will pursue the matter with a fury that belies her usual calm exterior.

Before she started playing video games, Natasha's favorite thing to do was read sci-fi and mystery novels and try and solve all the unsolved mysteries in real life as well as fiction. She adores coming up with theories, though sometimes goes a little overboard with her imagination. She’s quite deductive, but also occasionally adds in odd and out of place detail into her “mental report" of a person. Such as “This person has a fear of yellow lolipops." and “This girl likes to shower five times a day"
Natasha forgets sometimes to speak when she's holding something. She has used sign language almost all her life so she doesn't always remember to use the text speech in-game.

Natasha sometimes struggles with setting her personal expectations of herself too high and this has led her to obsessively trying to fix a “problem" that she has no control over, and/or is not a true issue. She also sometimes over-analyzes things and it leads to her worrying about a person/event far more than is healthy.

From Lore Online

I really don't know if I like what I did here. I had to add a lot of, imo, superfluous things to meet the guidelines set by Rinne. But it was interesting to make a concept I first thought of for DnD in this way.

Basically I had, for a while, an idea for a Paladin (Warrior of justice/god who tends to be charismatic and Lawful Good types.) who was Mute. They weren't able to do what they originally wanted (In the original become a knight in this become a cop) and they turned to something else that was presented to them by another (in the original a Paladin, in this the game).

I really enjoyed the idea of a character that could be charismatic without words and that's basically where Natasha came from.

Now as to the actual app for Lore. I am much more used to basic descriptions and images so having to stretch out the appearance was a really weird time for me.

A lot of this was a bit odd for me.

I really liked what I did with the personality though. Besides the whole "Charismatic mute" stuff even.

I was excited to get to show her surprisingly "fire and brimstone" side because that was one of her biggest flaws. She was usually so calm and collected but she was called "Avenger" for a reason.

I think my favorite thing I came up with was her deductions. I had figured that, as a Mute, Natasha might have come up with some ways to entertain herself and "coming up with fake traits for people" seemed pretty in-line with her character. Something she could do without causing harm to make life a bit more fun.

Combat-wise I pretty much expected her to be a super tank who could do some serious damage in the right circumstance. I honestly felt really weird giving her a hammer though.

Natasha never got to be in the RP because Aix (in part due to working with Neph to make a character) got the "role" she was built for. Something I'm still somewhat bitter about. Losing out because of a near obsession to have one of each role. But that was the situation I put myself in.

I also remember because of how I wanted to play her having a huge arguement about this "Player killer" system and...honestly this RP feels like a black-mark in my RP history. It just didn't go well for me in any way.

I didn't even write the character how I feel I should have. Maybe I should have picked something that I had no prior thoughts about so I could fit them into the restrictions and such but I really, really, wanted the Mute Paladin character to work in something.

Maybe eventually I'll find something that she fits into and get to actually use her. Until then she will be my favorite character who never was.

And now a character from my first RP! Which had been a complete failure but nonetheless!

[spoiler=Archie]

Quote: “Oh really? How much you willing to bet?”

Character Name: Archie Yahtz
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Race: Satyr
Class: Gambler
[spoiler=Appearance]hPkuc0G.jpg

Archie is about the typical size for a Saytr at 5‘5“ (165 cm) and 120 pounds (54 kg). He usually forgets to wear a shirt, due to never having to had to back home. And such his thin and moderatly muscled body has kept a slight tan. Very proud of his horns he makes sure they are clean and presentable. His hair is usually a wild mess however.

[spoiler=Personality]Archie is extremely frivolous. He spends money as soon as he gets it and doesn't really worry about how he'll live day to day. He's always talking about that one big score that will net him a stable life; but really he would rather continue the life he's leading now.

Always quite curious about new and exciting things; Archie will try almost anything at least once. He's a big fan of not letting fear or unfamiliarity stop him from doing anything.
Very reckless; Archie lives for excitement. Be it a good scrap or one big roll of the dice. can't keep still worth a damn and is always looking for something new and different. He makes his decisions at random most of the time and trusts in “Lady Luck" to get him through anything that he might come across.
Archie is quite honest when it comes to gambling. He refuses to cheat in any game. However he has become quite proficient in the art of “I owe you"s.

[spoiler=Biography]Born, as most of his kind are, in the Great Forest; Archie was never a very good child. His parents loved him dearly but they often had to punish him for misbehaving and running off where he wasn't supposed to. Satyr are encouraged to explore but Archie had a knack for finding just the perfect places he was NOT supposed to be. This led him to getting on bad terms with the leader of their tribe. Nonetheless Archie was generally allowed to do his thing. However that wasn't enough. Sick of having the freedom to be free only where he was allowed; Archie left the forest. Generally a big no no. Along the way he met an old leprechaun that showed him the world of gambling. Archie took it up right away and eventually parted from the man and went on his own. He accumilated many depts along the way; there is quite a few people who now clutch an “I owe you" card in their hands; cursing his name. Archie found his way, as travelers are wont to do, to the literal central city of IFNH; Centro City. Where it’s said everything and anything can be found if you look hard enough.

[spoiler=Skills, items, etc]
Skills/Powers: Strange Luck: Archie can at times be incredibly lucky, or incredibly unlucky. Some say it’s not a skill but he sure thinks it is.
Flute magic: Though he doesn’t use it much, Archie’s flute can lull savage beasts and races into a relaxed state. Or energize those that are tired. Though he’s out of practice so it sometimes produces less than desired effects.
Items/Weapons: Slingshot; magically enhanced to be somewhat more powerful than most.
A single gold coin that he refuses to spend no matter what, so he always has “cash on hand".
Deck of cards, a bag of dice and a wooden flute he hardly uses.

[spoiler=Misc]
[spoiler=theme]

Coin was given to him by the leprechaun who taught him how to gamble. Strangely protective of it and can single it out no matter what.

From Insert Fantasy Name Here

Basically for this I wanted a character that could kind of be in the background and not be super important. Someone just for fun. Someone who could add an element of randomness to shake things up a bit.

I wanted a different race than normal and was so glad to have found that image because damn it was hard to find something suitable.

I named him after a famous gambler though I doubt anyone got the reference anyway.

Really love what I did with him honestly. He was a Naomi-like character and those are really fun to write. Didn't get too fussed about things and really just went with the flow. He had a refreshing philosophy and I was looking forward to seeing how people reacted to his unorthodox and easy-going approach to life.

Plus it was great to be able to do stupid decisions at the whim of fate.

I didn't have any grand plans for Archie and that fit the idea of both the character and RP very well. He was just going to be a recurring NPC who would be around in case I needed to let someone interact with another character. But alas he didn't get very far. The RP died pretty fast and Archie was stuck early on as I tried to get him to interact and go on a mission with a character who stopped posting soon after.

I actually took it upon myself to write an IFNH story which I eventually need to get back to. Archie is one of the two main characters. Though I need to get better at characterizing him in a story setting. He certainly has some great moments though. Like betting on the outcome of his friend's deadly duel in the tavern.

He's a character that can be slipped into any semi-silly fantasy story though so perhaps he'll make an appearance elsewhere.

Another fun fact is he's the grandfather of one of my future characters, Tegur. :)

And now for a character who was in an RP that died quite an awkward and controversial death. Granted I am less upset with it because it let me make a really nice character. I present...

[spoiler=The Child of Fear]

"There's not a monster under the bed there's not a monster under the bed there's not...Everyone...RUN!"

Name: Louise Tueber
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Emotion: Fear
Place of Birth: Los Angelos, California

[spoiler=Appearance]UnyRJaz.png?1

Louise is a small girl, standing at 5'2" (157cm) and weighing 110 lbs. (46 kg). Her eyes are a dark shade of brown, not quite like the red depicted. She dresses in nice clothing but is perfectly fine in casual dress. She loves her hat, which was given to her by her father during a rare time he was acting like his old self.

[spoiler=Biography]Born in the United States to a German Father and French Mother; Louise has always lived well. Her father is a famous and rich horror movie director. One who left Germany years ago to make it big in America and succeeded. She was quite well treated by her parents and they spoiled her with hundreds of books that she read continuously ever since she could read. Her father, however, loved to share with her various horror movies and books. Her mother had no idea he was doing this and he truly thought it would be okay. He had grown up on these things after all.

But unfortunately for Louise she wasn't as strong-willed. She refused to show it but these movies and books terrified her. Eventually when her powers showed they showed hard. The following incident was covered up due to her father's money and influence but they were forced to move. Louise didn't know many people as she was usually indoors reading so the move didn't effect her much. What affected her was her parents' attitude. They seemed frightened by her and spoke with her much less often. her father blamed himself for the incident and the guilt kept him from so much as looking at her. Ever since they Louise was even more sheltered. She hadn't been an outdoors person before but she at least had the choice.

Her parents have started to let her go out more and more often lately as she's been able to keep from another incident for such a long time. What they don't know is she's had more than a few incidents since the first.....

[spoiler=Personality]Quiet and polite. Louise tries her best to be kind to everyone and believes that her social position means that she should strive to treat everyone well. And not act above anyone. For every person is important in their own way. She dislikes those who think they're better than others but wants to give those types the benefit of the doubt.

That being said she isn't the best in social situations. Though she isn't terrible by any means. Mainly because of being so isolated; but also because of the worry her powers will erupt once more. She prefers listening to talking and will often just sit, listen, and smile when circumstances makes her have to deal with her parent's guests. She strives to understand people and how they think. Therefore while not particularly social she is very observant and friendly. Most people who meet her tend to think of her as delicate, quiet, yet strangely charming in her own way. Those that are also more on the observant side notices a barely hidden fear behind her sweet smiling face. She doesn't do very good with physical contact or any sort of intimacy; and tends to try and avoid those situations politely. More often than not she becomes flustered however.

Louise prefers books over everything else. And uses them to suppress her powers. That being said, she also has grown more and more curious about the world outside. And how it compares to the worlds in her books. At the same time she is full of fear. The horror movies she watched as a child took their toll and Louise is at least somewhat paranoid and afraid all the time. She has many tricks to try and calm down but it's always nagging at her in the back of her mind.

[spoiler=Abilities]Louise's ability is quite simple. She creates monsters. When in a state of fear various monstrous apparitions are formed. Some of them are solid, others are mere phantoms. It's almost impossible to tell the difference unless they come in contact with you, which is a risk few would be willing to take. However they are both dangerous as they "feed" into Louise's fear. Which makes them last longer and get stronger the more afraid she is. These monsters come in many shape and sizes and she has no control over them. They are just as likely to harm her than help her, perhaps more likely to harm. There is a single apparition that continues to appear to Louise. A beast that she fears above all others for its nature of nearly always being around. This creature is one that only Louise can see; unlike most of the others.

[spoiler=Miscellaneous] Those she's closest to often call her "Lulu"

Not particularly afraid of the dark but sleeps with several night lights, and her stuffed camel "Sandy", every night.

Doesn't admit it but secretly dreams of a prince (or princess?) charming to come take her away to a place she can't cause anyone trouble.

From Emote

When the idea of Emote came around, before it was even posted yet, the first thought I had was "Fear". But I wanted to take a more unusual approach to it.

This is the first time for me a power came before the character. I wanted to have something uncontrollable, reactionary, irrational, much like fear can be if left unchecked.

And I wanted something that fueled itself. And so monster creation came to be. I knew it would be a really powerful ability so I chose the most dangerous, stupid, but entertaining way to balance it.

It would kill her if it got the chance. She can't control it. It's not on her side. She's a character who is completely a negative to have around. Not an asset in the slightest. It would test the other character's character and morals having her around. Because logically they'd be better off getting rid of her.

She represented the side of these Emoters that the public feared. Which is fitting given fear is her emotion.

I decided to use MtG monsters mainly because I was familiar with them and it gives so many different options.

I didn't want her to be compeltely defined by her fear though so I made her into a kindly rich girl. As opposed to the typical rich girl type she truly was considerate, polite, and gentle. Basically she represented what nobility "should" be. And she was dang fun to play. It was nice to have such a good person with such a huge issue to face. Made her a lot more sympathetic, in my opinion.

Of course she had to be realistic too so I had her a bit of a shut in due to her powers. Which actually helped her avoid the arrogance and greed that can happen when one is rich.

I felt it was a great idea to give someone with such terrible powers such a good heart. Plus someone wicked would likely find a way to abuse the power and use it for their own ends.

She also had a really dark moment when her powers began which would greatly affect her interactions with others. She'd keep them at a distance as much as she could despite how badly she wanted otherwise.

Which leads me to Nadia, Yui's character, who rescued her and seemed to be on the path of love interest.

What Yui didn't know was how hard I was going to make it on him.

She would be quick to develop feelings but they'd be feelings born from her desire to be protected. Which is entirely unhealthy. And it would lead to issues with the two of them fast when she either realized how her feelings weren't really strong or when she got too attached and dependent on Nadia.

It was going to be a rocky road and it would be extremely difficult for Louise to have a happy ending.

Not to mention there was the Nihilith always lurking. This creature represented all the darkness inside of Louise. Something only she could see but was always with her. If given a chance it would tear through and basically destroy anything she cared about. I had hoped that the Nihilith would become some sort of boss battle that those who cared about Louise would have to overcome to have any hopes of her controlling her powers.

Despite the short time she was around I completely loved what I did with her. I honestly think I did really well with this one and would love another chance.

Sadly nothing else seemed to fit for her yet. The other superpower RPs didn't seem to work very well for her as the biggest point was she couldn't control her powers and when I say that I mean COULDN'T. Not like an X-Men thing where they can find something to help her control it. I didn't want her to be able to control it until far into whatever RP she was in.

But, overall, she's one of my more interesting characters and I'm very grateful I could make her.

And now for the second instance of co-host curse. In which the hosts I co-host with stop doing anything at all. This RP gave me much salt but it also gave me TWO great characters. The second of which has two (three) versions so first I will post...

[spoiler=Jeigan!]
"I must continue to fight. Even if my heart goes out; I will not let this atrocity continue."

Name: Michael, “The Resolute”

Age: 34

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Class: Hero

Country of Origin: Emerys

[spoiler=Inventory]

Silver Sword

Hand axe

Arcfire (His old Tome, which he can't use anymore)

Elixir

[spoiler=Personality]His nickname “The Resolute” is very fitting. Michael is valiant and unwavering in his purpose, which is to protect and bring honor to his home. To the people he is seen as a shining light of hope and he does his best to keep that image. For the people need this hope to go on. The truth is he himself is somewhat cynical. He strives to overcome this and prove himself wrong, however.
Michael is a master of dry wit. He’s startlingly sarcastic and delivers things with such a straight face that people sometimes struggle to tell when he’s joking. Is also somewhat sadistic at times, especially when it comes to training and keeping everything in order. Has a commanding presence and when he asks you to do something, most of the time you do it.
In many cases Michael is understanding but, when it comes to safety and training, he can be tyrannically strict. Everyone is under his protection at all times and he does not take kindly to those who would harm others. Fiercely loyal, Michael will not falter once someone earns his respect. On the flip side he is quick to strike you down if you prove that his respect was misplaced. Though he sometimes is blinded by his previous opinion.

[spoiler=Appearance]q8t7Pe8.jpg?1

5'11" (180 cm) 198 lbs (90 kg)

Not the tallest, nor the heaviest, soldier you'd ever meet. Michael is nonetheless muscular and fit. It is obvious in his slim build that he wasn't always a physical soldier however. Years of magic study didn't give him the most threatening build. He is considered quite handsome though he often has such a look of concentration and aloofness that not many have attempted to become intimate with him.

He wears somewhat light armor, andything too heavy would strain his heart, and goes without a helmet. He says it's so his soldiers can see his face. Doesn't like to cut his hair so it's long, but he makes sure it's well kept.

[spoiler=Biography] Born in the capital of Emerys, Michael had early access to learning the art of magic. He was, simply put, a prodigy. Though as he was a modest child he tried to hide it. It didn’t work. He was noticed by the important people and went on a fast track to an even greater education. He entered the military to use these skills that were thrust upon him. And there he just continued to rise in rank and power.
Soon enough, quicker than most, he had a position of a top general in the Emrysian army. The Great Sage. Feared by his enemies, respected by his allies, and loved by the people; Michael served his liege loyally and justly for several years.
And then, during a duel with a powerful Sorcerer, tragedy struck. It was a fierce battle and in the end he won the fight. However it came at a cost. The dark magic had struck his heart. He fell into a coma for a couple days. And when he woke everything was changed.
From then on, his heart was weakened. If he put too much strain on it it could very well give out on him and it constantly hinders and pains him. He can always hear his heartbeat, and its irregularity. However to Michael the worst part was his loss of magic. He was devastated by his sudden loss of power and at his inability to serve his liege anymore.
After several days of brooding he made a decision. He wouldn’t let this stop him. He stayed with his liege as an advisor and began training in more martial fighting styles, despite other’s insistence he does not strain himself. And after much effort he was once more a strong warrior. However not as strong as he once was, as his growth was stunted by the attack.
The fall of Emerys hit him especially hard. He was there during the final fight. He saw his beloved home crushed and was powerless to stop it. He resolved to continue to fight however. And do whatever he could to reclaim his homeland....

From Fire Emblem: Alter

So, first, the spoiler title. A "Jeigan" in Fire Emblem is basically a promoted unit who, early game, is really great but eventually lags behind. Usually an older character, some sort of high ranked knight. We (Yosuke, Sethera, and I) thought a Jeigan would be good to have to be similar to the games. And I decided I'd take up the mantle. Mostly because I wanted to be able to actually have an "OP" character for once ^^;

The first thing I wanted to figure out was Class. (There's a lot of FE classes and I don't want to go over them all). Most Jeigan types are Paladins (Mounted, Sword/Lance) so I wanted to avoid mounted classes. Also wanted to avoid magic classes because that'd probably be too strong. So I went with Hero, which suited Micheal really well.

Then I had to figure out why he was a Jeigan. How to balance him so that he didn't remain OP and superior to everyone else. I decided to go with something similar to the Japanese only Mystery of the Emblem's character, Arran. A promising warrior weakened by illness.

However I wanted to do something...strange. The idea came to mind when thinking about Class Change (A thing in some FE games where you can change unit's classes, even if it...doesn't make much sense). I wanted to do a class change in a way that made sense and thus Michael's backstory was born.
Literally just like that. It just...flowed out after I connected Arran's situation with Class Change.

I am super proud of this bio honestly because it seems cool, realistic (for the setting), and fairly unique.

Honestly I'm still unsure of how to really explain his personality. The idea was someone who was a shining example on the outside but much more troubled inside. Who wanted to pretend with all his might so that others might be inspired.

Also I added a bit of personality similar to Frederick from Fire Emblem Awakening. In that he was a harsh trainer with a bit of a sarcastic side.

I wanted to write him as someone who desperately wanted to succeed and was willing to do whatever it took despite not believing it was actually possible. A very...dark and depressing character honestly. Who would hopefully find hope in the other player's characters.

He was meant to eventually die. Be it early, late, or in the middle, I wasn't sure. But it was pretty clear he wouldn't last forever because I intended to make his heart condition actually matter.

I didn't get to write him long but it was pretty fun to get to have a character who was already respected and such. Plus writing his one combat scene (and show how bad his heart actually is) was really exciting. Overall I liked this character a lot but I never really got to use him much. Maybe something else will come along in need of a Hero with a weak heart.

Next up is another two-parter! Also fun fact Fire Emblem: Alter was the first time I played two characters in an RP.

[spoiler=Valerie]

FaJkiVa.png?2

"Come on guys we gotta go go go go!"

Name: Valerie

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Class: Cavalier

Country of Origin: Emyryn

[spoiler=Inventory]
Iron Lance
Bronze Sword
Vulnerary

[spoiler=Personality]

Val is a kick your ass kinda girl. She’s hyper and energetic. Proud and confident to the extreme; Val doesn’t believe she can be beaten if she tries hard enough. She can come off as a bit too rash and thus people sometimes don’t take her seriously. Which she absolutely hates. She strives for a time everyone will know her name and respect her. Conversely she takes her time in respecting others. She isn’t cruel to those she doesn’t respect, she just is kinda patronizing. She doesn't care about rank. Despite the fact she's low rank she doesn't see that as a reason that she can't get the job done any less than a high ranked soldier. Not very modest; Val often walks around in minimal clothing because it’s more comfortable that way for her. Doesn't have much a concept of personal space and she's likely to practically hang off a person she's taken a shine to. She doesn't see this as anything more than comradely and a soldiers bravado.

[spoiler=Appearance]Dfwt5kX.png?1
5‘7“ (170 cm) 145 lbs (66 kg)
Of course this isn’t her battle gear. Valerie tends to wear very little when she’s not in combat however. Her armor is actually pretty bulky, despite her size, and green in color. She’s got a surprising amount of strength in her muscles. Always has her hair tied up when possible, as it being all over the place bothers her.

[spoiler=Biography]

Born in a simple village to a simple family with simple goals. To join the army and become the best of the best of the best. And to make friends. She always admired the closeness she would see between soldiers who stopped at her parents inn and wanted a piece of that. So as soon as she got the chance, Valerie was off to join the army.

Valerie is the lowest of the low ranked soldiers in the Emerysian army. In fact she only joined the army a few days before the invasion. She wasn't considered anything special by her superiors, skill-wise. They wouldn't have noticed her if not for the fact that she made herself be noticed. She was overly excited about everything and outspoken. In the few days she was part of the army she got into a total of 12 fights with her superiors and fellow low-ranked soldiers. None of them were out of anger and she ended up getting along great with everyone.

When the battles began, Valerie was determined to be on the front lines and show everyone what she was made of. Her, and the rest of her squad, were instead tasked with keeping the supply lines protected. It was supposed to be an easy position but the Gangalan army struck anyway. Her entire squad was killed and she was injured and forced to retreat.

She was found by a group loyal to Emil and was brought to the young lord. She swore to help him fight back against the Gangalan empire and decided to fight hard at his side.

From Fire Emblem: Alter

Valerie is an interesting case. I'm not fully certain when she actually came into being. I had her as a character in a story I was doing, involving a massive dungeon, and lots of character interaction. But I can't entirely remember if it was before or after this. I do know they were basically at the same time though.

The reason she's in this is because we needed something to take hits, and a mounted unit, so I thought a Cavalier (all around good stats, uses sword and lance, and has a horse) would be nice.

Valerie was meant to be a level 1 troop, hence her crap inventory, and I intended to have her grow stronger through the game. I was really hoping to show her not do great in the start, only injuring enemies, struggling with some of the harder foes, etc.

With the personality I just wanted to play someone who was energetic. That was the main thought process. Valerie was high-octane and someone who could pull people along with her when things dragged. I made her not care about rank so that she could slap the crap out of our Lord character if he ever did something stupid.

Which she did do once and it was great.

I found it amusing to make her have personal space issues because of one of the characters who didn't do well around females. It was quite fun to be able to naturally freak him out.

The reasoning for the image (which is part of why I wanted to make the character don't judge me) is that I thought she looked like a really energetic tomboyish type. I knew it was a weird fit for the setting but I thought it would be fun to have someone that was this unprofessional in an army. Plus it made the fact that she had heavier armor than the rest even more amusing.

Her bio is intentionally simple because I wanted to go for "Literally just a run of the mill person who ends up having to go on a world saving adventure". I didn't want her to be super special or anything because there are too many "just a simple person that is actually super important and talented" types.

I wanted to show how fierce the opposing army was, to slaughter an entire unit of recruits, and I wanted to give Val something that could break her out of her usual happy personality.

And it really worked. For instance my favorite moment with her was when we had beaten the soldiers at the gate and there was a surrendered soldier...And Valerie killed him anyway. It was a shocking display of violence from someone like her and I think it would have led up to some serious issues in the future...

A future that never came as the RP died when the host vanished on us. But Valerie was to come back once more, in...

[spoiler=Fiery Soul!]

Name: Valerie Clark

Age: 23

Soul Manifestation: Spear: http://i.imgur.com/wp98ZTM.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance]

"Come on let's go, we need to keep it up before we fall behind, onwards to glory!"

M8k7UaB.png?1

5‘7“ (170 cm) 145 lbs (66 kg)

[spoiler=Personality]

A high-octane kick your ass kinda girl. Valerie, or Val as she tends to be called, is a very proud and confident young lady. She takes this almost to extremes at time, truly believing she can't be beaten if she tries hard enough. Rash and reckless perfectly describe how she lives life. This can tend to make people not take her seriously, which is the one thing she hates above all others. She strives to be respected and will often take on the dumbest and impossible challenges just for this goal. If she feels she's being disrespected she'll fight. Be it with words or fists it doesn't matter as long as it gets her blood pumping and gives her a chance to defeat her foe.

On the flip side she is very slow to respect others. She doesn't go out of her way to be cruel to those she doesn't respect but she can come off as patronizing. She has absurdly high standards for others and it may not be possible to meet them. Even those in positions of power are not safe as Valerie actually has an automatic dislike of them. She sees them as thinking their better than her just because of rank or title and she seeks to prove them wrong whenever possible.

Not a modest girl at all, Val has no trouble walking about in minimal clothing. She's a creature of comfort in some regards and this is one of them. Too much clothing makes her feel trapped and uncomfortable. Similarly she keeps her hair tied up because it bothers her otherwise. She'll even stop a fight to redo her hair if it slips out. She claims she doesn't cut her hair because "I can't let it win".

Once Val has taken a shine to you, for regardless of respect Val can make friends, she'll sometimes cling to you. She thinks this is the most true form of comradery.

She's actually very friendly, as well as hyper and full of energy for things other than battle. She loves to explore and takes great pleasure in simply living life. While she can get angry fairly easily she can also forgive quickly if the one who angered her seems sincere and to be a good person. Though Val's standards on who is a good person can be somewhat skewed. To her a good person is one who is living their life to the fullest while not preventing others from doing the same.

[spoiler=Biography]

Val was once an average city girl, from New York city. She hung out with friends, usually at the mall and arcades, she struggled with school and did pretty well on her basketball team. Her family had always been pretty poor but her parents worked hard to try and make sure Val would break out of the ghetto they lived in. Even getting her into a good school that they had trouble affording. They never quite let on how hard things were on them but part of Val knew. Therefore in her Junior year in High School she secretly took on a job to help pay for bills. When she first told her parents about this, after receiving her first check, they were upset but after a long argument they let her do it as long as she kept her grades up. The burden was great on young Valerie but she carried on, growing ever more determined and confident that she would be able to forge a better life for her family.

People at school tended to look down on her, once it became known where she lived, and they typically wrote her off as some ghetto trash that wouldn't amount to anything. The friends she had grew distant after she began working and she came to realize that people generally were undeserving of her time and respect. And so she decided to make herself follow a new ideal of self-motivation, determination, and facing all challenges head-on. As it became harder to keep up with school and work, and keep food on the table, she became somewhat obsessed with the idea of fighting the struggle that is daily life. And she did a damn good job. Her grades improved, she grew more proficient in basketball, she got a new promotion at work. Things were looking up.

And then it happened. It was 3 AM when there was a loud knocking on the door. Valerie was woken up but she had gotten off a tough shift at work that evening so she was too worn out to get up. She figured that her mother or father would answer and so she didn't bother. Then the gunshots. She bolted to her feet and ran to the door. She doesn't quite remember what happened that night but when she came too she was in the hospital, her parents were dead, and a several members of a local gang had been arrested on suspect of committing the murder and robbery. Unfortunately they were let free and charges were dropped. The police told her there was nothing that could be done but Valerie didn't believe them. Since then she's written off figures of authority as weak willed and full of lies.

Valerie went through a hard time after that. She dropped school and began working three jobs. Those that worked with her previously noted that she tackled her work with a single-minded ferocity that it somewhat frightened them. Her few remaining friends barely managed to handle the new and not at all improved Valerie, but with time they were able to convince her to take a small break.
Those few friends had stuck with Val for a long time and knew her quite well by now so they figured out the one thing that could get Valerie to take a break from work. A challenge. All they wanted was a change of scenery in the hopes it would bring their old Valerie back. They decided to go hiking in the Appalachians in the Winter. Things were going great at first and Valerie was feeling somewhat refreshed from this change, as her friends had hoped. But then the snowstorm hit. It was a monster of a storm and Valerie got separated from the others. She fell into a cave and the snow and ice buried her in. She was trapped down there for several days, slowly freezing to death. But Valerie refused to go like that. She fought with every bit of energy she had to keep her body from shutting down and giving in. This triggered in her the manifestation of her Aethertouched ability. She instinctively knew just what to do and used it to burst out of what would have likely been her tomb.

Her friends thought this experience would've broken her completely. But quite the contrary she now had a renewed vigor for life. She wanted to experience more and more and enjoy every bit of life she could. Three times the usual amount in fact, for her and her deceased parents. She worries at times that she's pushing away her darker feelings caused by the struggles she faced but she's going to continue tackling life headlong and not looking back for one moment.

She set out with the money she saved to travel, and her journey eventually brought her to Tokyo city...

[spoiler=Aethertouched Ability]

Fire Generation: Can create and, mostly, control fire. This control is limited to being able to move the flames at will, which requires both energy and concentration, and to manipulate its form to a small extent. The power of this can range from ineffective to explosive depending how much passion Valerie puts into it. When combined with her typical fighting style this can be quite devastating. The power of her flames could burn an entire house down in matter of minutes when full forced. She has a perchance for doing over-the-top attacks and calling out names when she does. It's usually different even for the same attack. However a favorite of hers is...

Blazing Soul Phoenix Piercer!: An attack that uses the thrusting power of her spear to send out a powerful blast of flames in a straight line. Highly destructive but also quite inaccurate as it's very telegraphed and literally straight-forward.

Spiraling Barrier of Infernal Flames!: By spinning her spear above her head Valerie can create a column of flames that surround her, twelve feet high at most. The inside of the column could fit up to 3 average sized people at most. These flames are extremely hot and anything touching it would be caught on fire. Minor protection against projectiles, but anything launched at high speed and/or force will break through.

[spoiler=Misc]

[spoiler=Theme]

Loves to work out, feels best after a good run.

Enjoys mech anime/games with lots of explosions. And slapstick comedy.

Really likes her last name, despite how common it is, because it reminds her of Clark Kent.

From Aethertouched

Coding was weird here. Anyway. In this Val lost her horse and gained fire powers! I wanted to use Valerie again and a super-hero-like RP seemed like a really good fit given her attitude.

She became a little more fleshed out but, honestly, her personality was much the same. There are some differences that are quite important though.

Her temper became more explosive alongside of her abilities. And she became more of a tryhard than ever before. Because now she is in a modern setting which comes with a different set of stresses and expectations.

I really enjoyed making her backstory here. She is still from simple origins but, instead of joining the army, she tried to become the best student she could while also working. Obviously this isn't a smart thing to attempt to do and, while she did well, it also came at the price of her emotional health.

Add to it the trauma of her parents death and her own near death experience, and Valerie was meant to be a ticking time-bomb.

Oh and for the record she had actually awakened her powers on the night of the robbery. She killed the gang members, those who were arrested were just other members of the same gang, but she didn't realize this at the time so believed that the incident in the mountain was when her powers came to be.

It was really interesting having another volatile character who was so unlike Kira. She had such a positive attitude and worked really hard...but it was to an unhealthy degree. I started to show bits of it in the RP but she would, more and more, become stressed and put too much pressure on herself. Valerie was a character who was breaking apart from the inside while putting up a front of competence and confidence.

Sadly I never got to explore her character much more than the initial impressions because, again, host basically vanished, but it was interesting to get to see another side of Valerie. And see what a setting shift, and being given far too much power to handle, can do to someone.

Val was one of my favorites (and a lot of people seem to like her) so she most certainly will appear somewhere else.

Here's a first, a character who never got to exist because the RP didn't start.

[spoiler=White Knight]
Name: Kent Chevalier

Gender: Male

Age: 17

[spoiler=Appearance] WiIcwHx.jpg
Kent is not the tallest hunter, standing at 5‘10“ and weighing 168 pounds.

[spoiler=Personality] Kent is an angry young man. A very, very, very angry one. He’s quick to get into a fight and is quite reckless. His parents were hunters, and very bad ones at that. They almost never managed to do anything right and eventually disappeared entirely. Most say that they ran away with their tails between their legs when he was very young. Therefore Kent has tried hard to wipe his parents' actions off of his name. He gets especially pissed if you bring up his parentage. Kent was raised by various people before being placed in the Hunters Academy. Everyone who tried to raise him were strongly and quickly rebuffed by Kent, as he refused to accept any parental figure.
Behind the anger and recklessness Kent is a supremely loyal friend and ally. Even if he gets into fights with his teammates he’ll always do his best to help them out when they’re in need. Even so he strives for nothing more than proving himself so he is full of bluster and obsessed with competition. So the loyalty doesn't get noticed nearly as much.
Quite sensitive, Kent cannot stand seeing innocents hurt. If something goes wrong and someone gets injured then he beats himself up about it and does whatever he can to make it up to that person.

[spoiler=Weapon] [sword and Shield/Talon and Fang]

The sword is Talon. It's a straight-edged sword on one end but on the other it's serrated from nearly the tip all the way down the blade. It's black in color and often causes severe bleeding and hard to heal wounds when the serrated side is used.

Fang is the shield. It's fairly simple, red, round shield. The only unique quality is the large steel spike in the middle. Kent often uses this shield to bash enemies and uses the spike to pierce monsters.

[spoiler=Armor] Kent's armor is shiny and allows for a lot of mobility. It's all golden colored but it is not, in fact, made of gold. However it will never dim or rust. Somewhat plain otherwise. The pauldron are particularly thick and durable, and Kent uses those to block attacks when his sword and shield don't.

Preferred Hunter Team: I don’t know anything about the teams so leaving blank for now.

[spoiler=The Palico Runt]
Palico Name: Ciara

Palico Fighting Style: Healer

Palico Appearance: A tiny Palico, with all black fur. Wears blue robes with a hood that she often hides behind. One of her eyes is milky white and blind, which she’s been teased about by others of her kind.

Palico Purrsonality: Shy and withdrawn, but extremely attached to Kent. She promised to stay with him and keep him safe to the best of her abilities. She worries about his aggressive ways but has total faith in him. Used to be teased often because of her blind eye and her small size, as she was the runt of the litter.

From Monster Hunter:The Stories Yet To Be Told

Yes that is Gilgamesh from Fate/ for the image. I didn't even know about the character at the time though lol. Might find an updated image but it fits really well....

Honestly I can't say much about this one because he exists only as an idea. I've never used him in anything and not a single word was written beyond this app.

The idea I was going for was someone who was a really good person but had the most extreme anger issues. I planned to not hold back on this and express it exactly as it sounds. Even when it would result in something really bad for him. He was meant to be the type who would try hard but fail because he hasn't gotten over his issues. I wanted to see if someone could help him become a less angry man because, once he did, he could become something incredible.

I had an image for the weapon but misplaced it. In any case it was basically meant to be a hyper aggressive mess them up as soon as possible and as quick as possible type of weapon. Kent lacks subtlety and his only strategy is to make monsters bleed out to weaken them before the kill.

Ciara the runt was meant to be a cute character that could show the other characters, if they paid attention, a hint of a different side of Kent. Because otherwise they'd have no clue he's a decent person. I wanted them to be able to come to whatever conclusion they wanted but needed something to give a chance at anything besides "Angry git."

Sadly Kent never got to do anything. Perhaps some day he'll have a shot...

Since the last one was so short I decided to do a second right away. And, much like Val seemed a fan-favorite, this next one is much loved by many different RPers. I present to you....

[spoiler=The Witch]

Name:  Morgan Reaperson

Gender: Female

Age:  19

Species:  Human...? (explanation in bio)

[spoiler=Appearance]  xKZSjwu.jpg?1
Morgan doesn’t look much different than your average human girl. She stands at a somewhat average five foot six inches (168 cm) and weighs in at 125 pounds (56kg). She has various different clothing she wears, most of it light and comfortable, but she usually wears black and always is wearing her pointed hat. There’s a strange shine in her eyes, akin to that of a cat, that can be seen when the light hits it just right.

[spoiler=Biography] Morgan is the daughter of a very dangerous man. A wizard named Grimsley who has transcended humanity to gain the powers of a lich. He has lived hundreds of years by using this power and had a considerable fortune when he moved to America. Once there he started an organization with the simple goal of world domination. It was long thought that he wouldn’t be able to have a child and yet, through some magic ritual he doesn’t discuss with anyone, his then wife was impregnated with a child, Morgan.
It’s unknown for sure what race Morgan is. As her mother was human and Grimsley was supposedly also human the best guess is she’s the same. But it’s not a certainty.
Morgan’s mother died shortly after the birth. From then on Morgan was the center of Grimsley’s world. She had him wrapped around her finger and was given literally everything that she could ever have wanted. When she got old enough she started to take part in the “family business”.
Morgan was adapt at magic, possibly would be even more so than Grimsley with time. And she used it to good effect, taking over several other similar organizations through force.
However Morgan was horrible with money. She just couldn’t stop buying and buying and buying. Eventually even Grimsley had enough and cut her off. She was planning a massive plot to steal all the money of one of the smaller countries when she was contacted. A mysterious message telling her about a Secret Cup tournament being held that she was invited too.
Thrilled at the prospect of all that money, with her eyes on the prize of a massive spending spree, Morgan took off at once.

[spoiler=Personality]  Extremely selfish. Everything belongs to Morgan and screw you if you think otherwise. A total brat, but a smart brat. She has been known to have a bit of a temper at times but experience has taught her that it’s better to be sweet and charming to get what she wants. She isn’t above being  aggressive when necessary however. She truly does thing that she deserves the best, always, and she doesn’t mind letting you know it.

Strangely innocent. Morgan knows practically nothing about romance and doesn't quite understand the concepts of love and lust alike. Probably due to being sheltered by her father. Dirty jokes and flirting will go right over Morgan's head and she doesn't grasp the fact that her sweet and charming act can appear as such.

That being said, Morgan is quite easy to offend and gets genuinely hurt when people are mean to her. This is quite hypocritical of her as she doesn't mind doing similar to others, but as stated earlier Morgan is selfish like that and doesn't really care.

Morgan will get very attached to someone if they are interesting enough and help her whenever she needs it. But this attachment is usually purely platonic. Morgan likes having friends and being social, as long as she doesn't have to give them anything.
Curiosity may have killed the cat but that doesn’t stop Morgan. She’s insatiably curious about everything and everyone and loves to learn and see new things. Also quite adventurous, Morgan craves excitement and has often lived life on the edge. She doesn’t worry about the consequences of her actions ever, except when it comes to if it’ll interfere with her goals.

[spoiler=Weapons/Powers]
Weapon(s) of choice:  None, unless a fire-resistant broomstick counts.

Power Array:

Levitation: Morgan can “hover” several feet above the ground and travel at running speed in this fashion. She usually does this while sitting on her broomstick for “effect”

Skeleton Giant: As the name suggests, this is Morgan’s ability to create a twelve foot Skeleton out of magic, which has superhuman strength and wields a large bone-club. It’s not very fast and can only follow basic commands. Overtime it can reassemble itself when broken but not nearly instant.

Metal as f***: Morgan’s signature ability, a magic that summons and uses flaming skulls as a projectile. They explode upon impact and Morgan can have five at once. They hover around her when not being thrown.

Frenzy Plant: Morgan can create thick magical roots which come from the ground that she can control to encircle, crush, or just slam into, her opponents.

[spoiler=alternate theme song]

Born in October. Loves cats and candy.

From Original Golden Gate Empire

Morgan. Ahhh Morgan. I've been told she's my best, writing IC wise, character and the most iconic for me. Which is amusing because of her attitude.

But first, origin story.

See, Morgan was actually meant to be a sub-boss of my first failed hosting attempt, IFNH. She was the child of the "Big Bad". A lich named Grimsley Reaperson. Yes it was as hammy as it sounds. Back then she was going to be super powered. With powers such as turning people into pumpkins and controlling gravity.
It's funny I had to weaken her for this RP because of how high power it was. Unfortunately I was one of the first to finish an app and thus didn't have anything to compare with so she ended up UNDER-powered.

I made her because I saw the image and thought "I've never made a Halloween-Style witch before". I wanted someone who was legit a villain. She was a brat and was willing to do whatever to win. She legit was a jerk and honestly was pretty morally evil.

I enjoyed the bio because it sounded like something from a cheesy old movie. "Rich girl cut off and forced to go into the real world." but in Morgan's case she started her own criminal undertaking and joined a fighting tournament.

I wanted Morgan to be the type to never be satisfied. She always wanted more and always felt like she deserved it. That was a big thing I had to make sure to do. Morgan ALWAYS FELT SHE WAS IN THE RIGHT.

She didn't think she was wrong because she honestly thinks she deserves the world. The theme I chose for her was so perfect just because of this.

I really liked the powers I gave, despite being underpowered, because they were really cool. Throwing flaming skulls? Badass. Ripping roots out of the ground to entrap people? Badass. Summoning a massive skeleton at will? Badass. I adored the idea that this young girl was a powerhouse of badassery. I only wish I had pumped it up more.

I still worry I didn't play her right though. Sometimes she felt more...kind than intended. Which is amusing as she was a total jabroni. I wanted to be able to express her strong, if negative, personality more and more. Which I suppose wasn't helped by the nature of the RP. Granted I could have done it better but I just wasn't used to the format.

Also as to the fighting...she lost her first match. Which I chose because...well gonna get real here. Iirc Neph basically refused Hyde's character wining their match. Which led to the thought that Hyde would lose both of his characters if his and Drew's match was a loss. But if he won then Drew would lose both his if his character lost against Morgan.

And so I conceded the win without any argument. I kind of regret this and wish we had been able to just play it to the end and see who actually won. But, that's in the past and I did get to show Morgan's manipulation off.

I had intended, during the final boss fight, for Morgan to suddenly gain more and more powerful magic but also start literally tearing herself apart with magic. This is because of her secret.

She's a construct created by her "father" and was meant to serve the purpose of a secondary phylactery for his incredible magic ability.

This was meant to give her a crisis where she realizes she was only ever just a tool and that her power wasn't her own but her fathers. Which I had intended to lead her to decide "funk that I'm Morgan Reaperson. I don't care what I was born, made, whatever, for I'm going to do things my way." and overcome this with sheer jabroniy will, only to achieve even more power than she should have given her nature.

She had a sister character, Vena, that was created by Yui. More/less because of an image that seemed to fit the bill. Though the sister was openly a construct and wasn't actually a sister, but Morgan thought of her as one, which served to introduce the idea into people's heads (though Yui didn't know this). Mostly she got to show that Morgan has a capacity for caring buuuut it's still semi-selfish because she partially does it because her "sister" is so kind to her.

I debated her dying in the end, or losing her magic, but wasn't sure. In any case Morgan never got to reach her conclusion in the RP due to it fizzling out in the end but she did get to show off a lot of what I loved about writing her.

Morgan is a character that forced her way into my heart and, while she's a pain to deal with at times, I always enjoy writing her. She will come back for more things in the future. I, honestly, don't think I could stop her.

"No one denies Morgan Reaperson."

This is where I yell at Ren for locking his damn OOCs and making it hard to get the character -_-

Anyway sadly this breaks my pattern of male female male but that was inevitable eventually.

[spoiler=Amnesiac Hunter]

“The hunt is on."
x393wz.jpg
Personal Information:
Name: Diana ???
Nicknames/Aliases: Luna
Age: 18
Gender: Female (She/Her)
[spoiler=Appearance]pd9r1hV.jpg
Wears the mask all the time. Has a scar across her cheek. 5‘5“ (165 cm) and 130 pounds (59 kg)

[spoiler=Personality]Diana is competitive and she knows it. She doesn't like to give up and craves a good fight. She's very focused when she has a goal in mind but when she's not hunting she can be a bit of a scatterbrain. Her mind often drifts off on tangents if left to her own devices.
She doesn't mind other people but hates the concept that humans need to be social to survive. She's very proud and doesn't accept help if she thinks she can handle things on her own. Especially as that ruins the point of competition.
Though she does realize when she’s beat and accepts defeat graciously as long as no underhanded tricks were used.
When it comes to legends she's surprisingly brutal. Anyone who meets her would assume she's a kind, if a bit rough, girl. But if they saw her going after a legend they'd see a much more aggressive side. Diana gets chronic headaches and when she's suffering from one she's easily aggravated and prone to snapping at others. The only ones that can calm her down when she's either on the hunt or in the grips of a headache are her Pokemon.

[spoiler=Background]Diana doesn't know much about her past. Several years ago she and her parents got into a terrible car accident, caused by two legendary Pokemon fighting nearby (She didn’t find this out until years later). They died and she lost all of her memories up to that point, besides for her name. She woke up next to a river, with her clothing wet and injuries all over her body. She had no idea how she got there but she knew she had to move if she were to survive.
Diana survived in the wild on her own for a time, where she met her partner Ekans, until she decided to risk the civilized world. She donned a mask and an alias of Luna. She didn't quite trust people and figured that whatever happened to her in the past it wouldn't be good if someone were after her. Call it paranoia if you want, Diana thinks it practical. She found she was quite good at Pokemon battles and catching Pokemon and so she made a living as a rare Pokemon Hunter. She was sure not to harm the Pokemon and she always got the job done.
Eventually she found someone who knew who she was and, before she could knock him out and escape, he convinced her to hear him out. He told her all about what happened in the accident and whose fault it was. This gave Diana a deep hatred towards Legends and she vowed to destroy them all. She left in a rage before he could reveal anything more, including her last name, which she regrets to this day as he vanished afterwards.

Combat Information:
Title: Legend Hunter

[spoiler=Pokemon]1.) Arbok (Female / Intimidate / Arbokite / Flamethrower, Gunk Shot, Wrap, Sucker Punch)
2.) Masquerain (Male / Intimidate / Wide Lens / Bug Buzz, Stun Powder, Air Slash, Ice Beam)
3.) Crobat (Male / Infiltrator / Safety Goggles / Mean Look, Toxic, Fly, Confuse Ray)
4.) Hippowdown (Female / Sand Stream / Roar, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Slack Off )
5.) Mantine (Male / Swift Swim / Surf, Dive, Defog, Tailwind )
6.) Excadrill (Male / Sand Force / Dig, Rock Slide, Slash, Iron Head)

[spoiler=Powers/Abilities/Weapons/Inventory]Diana usually doesn't use any weapons herself. She had trained her Pokemon to kill when commanded and since they trust her entirely they obey. She only has them do this against Legends however.
She does have one weapon that she uses to catch her prey. A net gun which launches a net that can be coated in poison and gives off a paralyzing electrical charge.

Her mask can block out effects of powder moves, and she wears a pair of Go-Goggles on her head

Has an array of various Pokeballs to catch Pokemon, as well as basic medicine.

Other Information:
Only responds to Luna, if she tells you her real name she trusts you totally and/or respects you immensely.
Sleeps while wearing her mask. Takes it off only if she believes no one is around.

[spoiler=Mega Arbok]OoZ8uk2.png?1
Name: Mega Arbok

Species(optional): Same as Arbok
Type: Poison/Dark
Ability(ies): Debilitating Gaze: When this Pokemon Mega evolves or switches in, lower the opponent’s Speed by one stage.
Signature Attack(s): None
Strengths/ Weaknesses: High Attack, and Speed, lower Defense and Special Defense
60 HP | 135 Attack | 50 Defense | 85 Special Attack | 60 Special Defense | 110 Speed

From Tournament of Legends

Luna originally was an NPC I made for Pokemon: Forbidden Star when its host vanished and left me on my own as co-host. She was one of my attempts to world build despite the host never giving me any information to work from. A rare Pokemon hunter with an Ekans and Surskit who would become a sort of rival character. Got to write a really neat fight with Keto in this one.

Decided to put her here because I had finished my character super early, got impatient, decided to make a Legend Hunter while I was waiting.
She's a lot darker in this one. Similar backstory that I had planned in the original but with a lot more anger and...murderous intentions.

Anyway. Diana being her original name is because of the Roman Goddess of the hunt. Which also gave her alias. Because Diana is also the moon Goddess. It fit well in this RP especially because there was already someone named Diana, so Luna could use her alias mostly and be just fine.

I really loved the idea of playing someone with amnesia because, well, it's fun to take commonly used things and make them interesting again. I always was bothered by amnesia in media and I wanted to try and do it well. She was to show that she had some serious issues due to not remembering. She'd get irritable and depressed about it. And what memories she could bring up would be more like watching a TV show than remembering. This is also why I had her be a bit scatterbrained. She would occasionally just blank out on things.

Her personality was super fun to write. Pure competitive. She wasn't going to give up on her chase for anything unless she knew she was beat. Often competitive types keep going even after they lost but I felt it would be interesting to have someone who wanted to win no matter what but also was smart enough to know when they wouldn't win.
She fights fairly in that she won't team up to beat someone but she will use tricks to win. That was the hard part to show. She obviously used traps and such during battle but she didn't think it was unfair. Rather it was her using her knowledge. Unfair to her is ganging up on someone or taking a hostage. That sort of thing.

Her team was fun to come up with. First was of course Arbok and Masquerain because of the original version.

Arbok was made to capture and destroy Legends. And the Mega Evolution I made up for it was great. Poison/Dark because so many Legends were Psychic and has an ability to lower speed so it can trap them better.

Masquerain was there to paralyze things and weaken them with powerful attacks.

Crobat was a troll. Trap them, poison them, confuse them, then Fly and make them slowly wilt away.

Hippowdon was to wear things down and basically protect Luna. This was her Shield.

Mantine was literally just to easily move around the world.

And Excadrill was meant to be the main Attacker.

Overall I didn't actually get to do much with Luna. She followed some people around and attacked at a moment she felt would be smartest. For it was at a time she was certain she could force someone to reveal their Legend and then she'd know who had one and be able to get out during the confusion and come back later.

Her fight scene was pretty darn cool but sadly she didn't get much time to shine. She's someone who is easily inserted in a Pokemon RP though, as an NPC, PC, or Villain, so she'll be back I'm sure.

Next up is a character created for a sequel to a dead RP. This character is from the same RP as one of Kira's apperances and you'll see they are very connected to her...

[spoiler=Grandpa Zemlya]

z7kscIi.jpg?2
“You think you can keep up, whelp?”

Name: Grigoriy Zemlya

Codename: Perun

Home Branch: Russian Branch

Gender: Male

Age: 74 (almost 75)

[spoiler=Appearance]
ZQIcE9V.jpg

Standing at 5'11 and weighing in at 200 pounds, Grigoriy is all muscle. He has made sure that his body is as fit as it could possibly be and takes pride in it. In fact he occasionally walks around shirtless just because. However he also owns a bear-fur cloak that he is quite fond of. The weapons are always at his side, though he only draws them when in battle.

[spoiler=Personality]

Grigoriy is a grumpy bastard. He’s tough as nails and is determined that everyone be just as tough. He’s strict on everyone, especially himself, and refuses to accept anything but the best. If you think you earned his respect, you didn’t. The only people he respects are those that beat him in a fight. Which at the moment is no one. He greatly discourages drinking and any such substance, which in Russia means he’s often not very happy with those around him.
And he lets it known. Grigoriy is not the type to hold back, personally or otherwise, and he can be quite adamant about just why he despises you.
This being said he’s actually a loving person. He genuinely cares for those he takes under his wing and would be hurt to see harm come to them.  However he tries not to show this often, worried that if he does they will become weak like he did once upon a time.
This loving nature can turn ugly quickly. As he believes his way of thinking is the best, so he can come off as quite intolerant at times. Despite the fact that he does things because he cares, this doesn’t mean he’s free from the title of “a******” that some have whispered behind his back. For many respected Grigoriy, but even those who respected him sometimes hated him as well.

Aggressive and dominating, Grigoriy doesn't take s*** from anyone and has been known to fly off the handle a few times.

[spoiler=Bio]

Grigoriy was born near the end of WW2, though it didn’t really affect his family very much. Had Russia lost in the war it would be a different matter. But as they didn’t, life didn’t change for the Zemlya’s. Which was not a good thing in the slightest. His father was an abusive drunk and his mother died early in his life. Grigoriy was forced to grow up fast and worked hard to get away from all this.
And away he did get, though not until he was married with a child, at age 20. He left Russia entirely to live in America. He was determined to be a better father and husband than his own father was.
He failed.

Grigoriy quickly fell into debt, and became even more addicted to alcohol than his father. The one good thing that could be said was that he wasn’t physically abusive. The only good thing. He would rant and rave and insult everyone he was closest to. And often left home for days on end, always ending up in some strange girl’s bed. For while he was an ass to his family, for some reason he was quite the charmer to the ladies.

His life-changing moment came when, at age 30, his oldest son and wife were murdered. Murdered by an angry husband of a woman Grigoriy had slept with. Left alone, besides for his younger son, Grigoriy finally tried to pull his life together.

He managed to get a stable job, forced himself to get fit, and became a decent, if extremely protective and overbearingly strict, father. Ten years later he was returning home from work on a stormy night when he heard a shout from his son’s room.
He hurried into the house and charged into his son’s room. Ignoring the young girl who was in bed with his son (the woman that would later become Grigoriy’s daughter-in-law) he focused on the large and angry man that was hefting an axe and prepared to bring it down on his defenseless son.

Grigoriy tackled the man through the window, cutting both of them but taking him away from his son. But Grigoriy wasn’t through. He slammed the man’s head down onto the hard ground over and over again. While he was doing this he was struck by a bolt of lightning but that didn’t stop him. Blood sprayed, some into Grigoriy’s mouth, and eventually the man’s head was reduced to a bloody pulp. Grigoriy felt a wave of nausea and passed out after.

He woke up several hours later in his own bed, having been dragged there by his son. A stranger stood above him, a stranger who explained everything about what had happened. The attacker was a demon, and now Grigoriy had demonic power within him. He was told that he had to join the DHG (for refusal was not an option back than).
Grigoriy panicked, certain this could only turn out badly for his son. And so Grigoriy sold off most of his personal belongings, and left a decent sum of money and a note for his son, before leaving country once more. This time heading back to Russia. His father had died recently so there was no one there who would know of him.

Unfortunately he didn’t realize there was a DHG in Russia. And he was put to work immediately. Eventually he came to realize it was for the best, that this would be a good place for him, and that he could atone for his sins and make the world safer for his son.
He occasionally visited his family in America, though things were often quite strained between them, especially after his granddaughter was born. Though these visits got shorter and farther between as he got more and more obsessed with his job as a demon hunter.

Then one day, a B class demon that he had injured and had escaped showed up during one of these visits and attacked his family. Grigoriy fought and killed the demon but his granddaughter had almost died. After making sure their memories were totally wiped, Grigoriy left and promised never to return and endanger them again. He was listed as “Missing” and he spent his time focusing on hunting demons and training the next batch of hunters.

When the attack on the Russian HQ came, Grigoriy was away on a mission, and so he returned with the battle already having been started. His aid helped repel the attackers but it had come late. And now new, and strange, hunters were coming to help restore the HQ and find their leader. Including, which almost gave Grigoriy a heart attack, his granddaughter Kira.

[spoiler=Abilities]
Lightning Edge: Grigoriy can summon powerful bolts of lightning to strike a foe. Usually this is a straight blast, from either Grigoriy’s hand, or from the air no more than fifteen feet away from him.

Wild Charge: Grigoriy has the ability to wreath himself in lightning and charge in a straight line at high speed, crashing into whatever he hits with great force.

Arms and Armor: Those swords aren’t just for show, Grigoriy knows how to use them well. And that armor is durable, made to withstand even attacks from a demon.

Fit for any age: Grigoriy isn’t just “tough for an old man” he puts some young men to shame with his fitness and health.

[spoiler=Misc]

Gave Zina a stuffed bunny for her birthday once.
Once killed a bear infected with demon blood, in a blizzard, without powers, in his boxers, blindfolded.
Has a collection of old jazz music. The only thing that calmed his father down was listening to jazz and the music stuck with him over the years.
Secretly a fan of sci-fi novels.

From Demon Blood: From Russia With Love

I really wanted to make a badass old man at some point. When Yui decided to set the next DB in Russia I knew what I had to do. I had already decided a while back that Kira's grandpa was a Russian Demon Hunter. She didn't know this and had just thought he vanished. And since I had already decided it I figured it made perfect sense to have him make an appearance.

The idea behind him was more/less that typical hardass badass commander type. However I wanted to make sure he wasn't perfect so I gave him, fittingly as he's Kira's grandpa, a temper. He's a great hunter and a respected man but his great power only makes his temper a worse thing. Because he can get away with doing things others wouldn't so he can let his temper take hold of him easier.

It was very interesting writing someone so assured his way was best and who had the confidence and demeanor to make others believe it as well.

He's got a lot of issues, the drinking in the past, his leaving his family, and of course the death of most of his comrades as the plot of the RP dictated. He'd be a tough nut to crack but those who tried would eventually find a man broken and lost.

I tried to write the bio in a way that explained his entire, long, life but wasn't too short so ended up skimming a lot. I loved the idea that he left Russia for his family and also went back to Russia...for his family.

Also it was fun to go hammy with the fight. Even as a normal human Grigoriy was destined to be badass.

Honestly with Grigoriy I just wanted to be able to make the most ridiculously badass old man and I think I did well with that. The kind of character that Chuck Norris would approve of. I did want to be able to show more of him though to give him some realism and to use that whole "Kira's grandpa" for some interactions (especially with Yui's characters of Morgan and Zina) but I am also okay with him being almost a mythical figure. Or a meme

I only hope those who knew Grigoriy's short RP life remember him well. Because I certainly tried to have him leave a lasting impression!

And now it's time to take a darker turn

[spoiler=Oh screw it, here]
ls6YEWF.jpg?1

"Nothing tastier than a cup of pain with a side of agonized screams, teehee~"

Name: Bloody Mary

Years Played: 5

Level: 140

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Class: Blood Mage

[spoiler=Appearance]RToejQC.jpg?1

Please ignore the spear, thank you.

Standing at five foot four, Mary isn't a very tall character when compared to some of the practical amazons in the game. She's slender with slight curves in "all the right places". She looks soft when in a neutral mood, though her features can twist into more unnatural expressions on a whim. The dress she wears doesn't offer much protection, though more than it would appear, but she likes the way it looks so she keeps it.

Her wide, reddish, eyes may seem attractive at first but due to her habit of staring for more than would seem possible they can quickly seem creepy. Look too long into them and you may feel a slight tug of madness yourself.

[spoiler=Personality]Mary only wants to have fun, that isn’t too much to ask right? Of course it isn’t, at least, it wouldn’t be if she wasn’t totally batshit crazy. Mary’s idea of a good time is to cause as much physical and emotional pain as she can. She is both a sadist and a masochist. She delights in others pain just as much as her own. Unhinged is putting it lightly, she can go from quiet and polite to spouting absolute nonsense to giggling while she stabs you in the guts over and over within a matter of moments.
That being said, Mary is an intelligent little psychopath. She knows how to manipulate people when she needs to, and she realizes that she can't make it very far in this world on her own. Therefore she makes sure that nothing too terrible happens to her guildmates. Though that doesn't stop her from having a little fun when she gets a chance. Completely unphased by sexual advances, seeing as her tastes in regards to that particular area are what one might call bizarre.

[spoiler=Bio]Mary has been in many different guilds in her relatively short time in the game. She kept bouncing around different guilds, who took her in because of her unique class, which not many people took due to the difficulty of early game leveling, and/or because of her cute avatar. She spent many many hours in the game, leveling up in the quickest ways she could, often piggy-backing off of higher leveled players. Though she was skilled enough to hold her own, the class she chose tended to have difficulty by itself. However each of the guilds eventually kicked her out once they realized how crazy she really was. She often would enact a bit of revenge before leaving.

Eventually she found the Undertakers, and was ecstatic to find a guild that seemed to suit her perfectly, she rushed to endear herself to the guild master and prove her usefulness and eventually was allowed in.

[spoiler=Equipment]Silver Dagger: A simple silver dagger that has had enchantments up the wazoo and is now top of the line as far as more common weapons go.

Spiked Choker:  A necklace accessory studded with spikes. Blood Mage item. Increases the health uses up by spells but also increases their power.

Clawed Gauntlet: Meant to be a vanity item, this gauntlet can be used for melee attacks once the game isn't a game anymore.

[spoiler=Fighting Style]Prefers to keep a distance at first, but likes to close the gap to watch her enemy die. Not always the best strategy but no one said Mary was a master tactician.

[spoiler=Favored Skills]Blood whip: Creates a whip out of blood, which can bind enemies and do low damage.

Blood spike: A projectile attack, which deals massive damage to one enemy, sending out a foot long spike of hardened blood.

Minor Blood Rage: Capable of being activated while at half health or lower, greatly increases physical abilities temporarily, however makes magic unusable.

Curse Person: A general term for a spell that lays a Curse on an opponent, with various negative effects. Such as damage over time, slowed, temporary blindness

[spoiler=Other]When she gets bored she tends to cut herself and make patterns with the blood.
Adores stuffed animals, though sometimes she is a bit violent with them.
She let slip that Mary was indeed her real name and the rumor spread, but everyone who was there for the original slip up are gone now, no one is sure where they went.
Doesn't seem to blink much.
[spoiler=Theme]

iU8EggM.png

[spoiler=IRL self]Name: Mary Bourque
Age: 19
Gender: Female

Appearance: Surprisingly enough, Mary actually resembles her in-game avatar nearly to a tee. Except she has blue eyes.

Personality: Yep, same crazy girl. Though much more careful about revealing it irl

Bio: Mary's father was a businessman known for doing whatever it took to close a deal. Whatever it took. Which included bringing his daughter over to convince those he was dealing with, usually this involved flirting and occasionally something a little more. She didn't really mind the manipulation, but she hated to be touched and developed a disgust of the narrow-minded piggishness and lack of imagination of the men she was dealing with. She fantasied about killing them in many brutal ways to make the job go by easier. It also had the bonus effect of making her seem more excited to be there.

The Internet gave her an out, a way to vent her true feelings and desires without fear of repercussion.

From Undertakers

"How do you make a villain in a world of villains?" That was my idea going into this character. Undertakers is a darker RP and basically all the characters are, in some way, evil people. Even those who weren't still were technically on the side of the villains as they were an invading army. So I wanted to see how far I could push it. I wanted to make a character that even these villains would hesitate around.

Plus I really liked that AMV and it was really late when I decided to just bust out this character.

I remember having to ask both Aix and Nai if that image was okay for various reasons. Because it just fit way too perfectly.

The idea is really simple in theory. Sadistic masochistic psycho who didn't really care for the people around her. The trick was writing her in a way that she was both crazy and hard to control but also smart enough to not get killed by the people who were her only protection in an unknown and dangerous world.

It was fun seeing people react to her because I got to push the envelope but just barely not cross the line. She was clever and manipulative but often didn't bother using this to her full extent. Because it was just more fun to not.

The class I made for her is an interesting one. Basically it was really powerful in practice but also extremely dangerous. Not many would take it because it made early game solo leveling impossible. Thankfully Mary knew how to make herself useful and so she was able to get by. Thus by the time the whole "Sucked into an actual world" thing hit she was already strong enough to stand on her own if need be.

It was fun to write her but also, I admit, disturbing at times. Because it's easy to get sucked into things and go with the flow and, in this case, that's a very dangerous line of thought. I think I managed to do it quite nicely though and she became one of the more fun characters to write.

I didn't give her a ton of depth right off the bat but I had intended that she not be the deepest character. She was unstable and that leads to not being able to do the same kind of development as others. However I did like showing how she was growing stronger on the side, attempting to become so strong that, even if some of the others confronted her, she'd be able to take them on.

In the end I had planned, with host blessing, to have her betray the group near the end. I knew this would upset some people but I felt it was vital for who she was.
And honestly as several characters wanted her dead I think it's just fair play, lol.

Her combat was super fun. Blood manipulation (or any kind of liquid) is a very entertaining thing to write. Plus I had the chance to come up with many kinds of curses as long as I didn't go overboard and got them okayed.

The irl stuff was, I admit, in part due to laziness. But I also think it makes sense. Mary wasn't in this to play a character. She does that already irl. She was in this to play herself.

I'm quite happy with what I got to do with her but I am sad she is gone. it'd be hard to put her into another setting but maybe sometime I'll try. My little psycho scares the hell out of me but I can't help but be drawn into the fun of writing her.

As she was in an RP that was, if I'm remembering right, a remake of a dead RP that was the spin-off of a dead RP. Actually it might've been the second remake I can't remember. Either way it was kind of a mess but it was a FUN mess for me while it lasted.

Much like Mary herself.

[spoiler=Bloody Mary]Name: Mary Bourque

Alias: Bloody Mary

Age: 16

Gender: Female

[spoiler=Appearance]30AM7eK.jpg?1

Mary stands at 5'4" and weighs 120 pounds. The outfit seen here is obviously not her casual wear but it's in a similar vein. She does not have the spear as well.

[spoiler=Personality]Mary most of all wants to have fun. This usually wouldn't be an issue except that her idea of fun is...less than normal. Her idea of a good time is to cause, and receive, as much pain as possible. She is both a sadist and a masochist in the worst ways as she delights in her pain about as much as other's. Unhinged is a gentle way to explain Mary's mental state. She can be calm, quiet, and polite, one moment. Then change at a drop of the hat to giggling while stabbing someone.

She's intelligent, however, and knows far too well that her actions, even in a place such as this, could land her in some serious trouble. She has the capacity to manipulate others and is quite a good actress when she wants to be. Granted she often doesn't really mind letting a bit of craziness slip out. She also knows that she isn't the most physically capable and so she has learned to work with others to reach her goals. Though for her working with others is less about team work more about making it seem like she cares about her team mates so that they don't immediately turn on her.

She avoids direct confrontation when she actually wants to win at something and prefers fighting when her opponent doesn't realize they have started fighting in the first place.

That being said she's happy to provoke people if it leads to having a "joyous fun time of pain and agony."

[spoiler=Biography]Mary's father was a businessman who was well known for doing whatever it takes to close a deal. He was a cold and calculating man and even his marriage was only done in order to get close with the woman's father, an extremely rich man, and when his wife realized what she had gotten into tried to leave. Which resulted in an unfortunate accident.

Mary was given quite a lot as she grew up which made her not question some of the actions the man took.

She was always a rather unusual girl, though she didn't realize just how much until her teenage years. There was magic in the girl. And madness. While experimenting Mary realized that she was able to manipulate her own blood. She immediately began to study magic and how it worked, secretly practicing her new art.

In the meantime she was starting to grow up. Starting to be useful to her father. He would often employ her to help convince rather stubborn potential business partners. She enjoyed the manipulation but she developed a disgust for the piggishness and lack of creativity in the people she was directed towards. She passed the time imagining the many ways she could kill them and eventually her imagination broke into reality.

Her father was extremely upset at the loss of a contact and at the money he had to drop to keep her out of trouble. He kept her under lock and key after that. Only letting her out when necessary and making sure she was supervised when doing her job.
This caused a frustration to grow in the girl. Knowing killing her father would be a much harder thing to pull off. Without his money and connections it would be impossible to stay out of prison.

So she left. For a city she knew would be more accepting of someone with her mindset. Her last name was fairly well known, given her father's influence, but for the people of Lowhaven the important factor was the unusually silent way another influential man vanished after spending a night with her.

[spoiler=Powers]Blood Magic (Bloodmancy/Hemomancy): Mary is capable of manipulating blood. As long as it's spilled, and her own, she can bend it to her will. She can move it, harden it, and even expand it to a certain extent. This means she can use it to grab things or to use as a piercing or slashing weapon. When using it as a weapon the tip and/or edge is usually especially hard and sharp. It's overall not hard enough to provide much protection from direct attacks but it can lessen the blow. Though the amount of blood she can manipulate at once is limited and, as of now, she can only use blood of her own that is outside her body. She intends to nurture this power to extend to blood of others and, eventually, blood that is still inside one's body, but as of now she can only use her own.

2nd Period: Magic
3rd Period: Linguistics
4th Period: Theatrics
5th Period: Free Period

7th Period: Biology
8th Period: Power Management

[spoiler=Miscellaneous]-Has a habit of staring for a very, very, long time without blinking.

-Her nails are kept sharpened at all times.

-Really likes stuffed animals and keeps a collection of them in her room.

-Prefers tall people.

-Likes to curl up and watch movies.

-Can speak French.

From: A School of Villains

When I saw a villain school RP at first I wasn't going to join. Mostly because I had so many RPs...but I gave it some thought and I realized I could easily play a character I hadn't found many places where she fit. And I just had to take the chance and try it.

She's not much different from what she was like in the original...basically. She has more/less the same personality. Though there are some key differences. She's not as insane, for one, due to being younger and not having the same experiences. She's...oddly innocent, in a way, and it's fun to see how somehow she's the most polite and composed of the bunch. She's also quite lonely, due to having not had the same...companionship of the version of her from Undertakers.

For her bio I mostly had to figure out why she would go to the school in the first place. But it fell into place pretty easily. With her temperament and what she was made to do, she would of course at some point kill people, and because of her talent at lying and her father's money, she was able to avoid capture, which is something that villains would be interested in. And she wouldn't like to be trapped so of course she'd take the first chance to get out of there.

It's interesting to write her because she doesn't think what she does is bad and she doesn't have the same...villainous aspirations of others in the school. Haven't had much chance to do much with her but she did get to have a few....fun interactions.

I hope to show more of how insane she is but also how lonely she is as the RP progresses. Honestly I don't care much for the combat side of it which is fitting. Giving that her style is more to fight only when her target can't put up a fight against her.

It was a reboot of a remake of a spin-off of a dead RP (^_~)b

ngl Mary was probably one of my favorite guildies in this mess of an adventure, if not my favorite overall. There was some distinct qualities she had that the rest lacked, and likewise she lacked some things everyone else had personality-wise, so she felt distinctly different from the rest more than any other character in Undertakers. Nice.

And now I get to the RP where I have three characters...all of them Pokemon! A very different RP for sure.

[spoiler=Constable]17w3l05.gif
“Come on pups we've got a job to do."

Personality Information
Name: Constable
Species: Stoutland
Gender: Male, he
Age: 40
[spoiler=Appearance]ipewwo5.jpg?1
Constable is in good shape for his age, however he is a bit soft these days. He keeps his fur well kept, prim and proper, and it masks the scars that cover his body. There's a patch of burned skin on his right side from when he defended the forest from an enraged Volcarona.
Wears a hat that he found many years ago which resembles a police chief's hat.

[spoiler=Personality]Constable is very Adamant about his job. He believes its his job to protect everyone in the Forest and he has a strong sense of justice. Many in his position would grow cynical and angry, especially with how long Constable has been around and how much he's seen. However he keeps a powerful hope in the world and the people, and Pokemon, in it. Constable is a guide, always trying to teach others and nurture them into being the best they can be. Sometimes a bit gruff and grumpy, especially when hungry, Constable can come off as a kind but strict grandpa to many of the younger denizens of the forest. When facing down an opponent, however, Constable can be a terror. When he fights seriously he's truly a ferocious sight to behold. Which is something he takes pride in, as it helps him to protect the people who he cares for like family. Has always wanted children but never got around to it, Constable is especially fond of younger Pokemon. He's also a bit awkward and overly polite around females around his age.

[spoiler=Biography]A true native of the White Forest, Constable has lived there since he was a young pup. His father was the previous Sergeant and he had always dreamed of following in his footsteps. However once he evolved into a Herdier he felt unsure of his lot in life and decided he wanted to see more of the world and set out to explore it. He saw many horrible things in his travels. Aggressive and power-hungry Pokemon and humans alike, people and Pokemon living in terrible conditions, and the like. But he also saw many instances of spirited and kind individuals fighting this darkness and living their lives. Constable returned to the White Forest with renewed purpose. He took his father's position when he grew too old for the duties and strove to become the best he could be. He fought off many invaders and kept the peace so well that he quickly became a valued and respected member of society.

[spoiler=Combat Information]Level: 35
Ability: Intimidate
Held Item: Chesto Berry. Carries it around in a pouch so he doesn't fall asleep on the job.
Moves: Take Down, Crunch, Roar, Pursuit, Fire Fang, Giga Impact
Fighting Style: Aggressive, Constable tries to eliminate opponents as fast as possible with as little collateral damage as possible. Little regard for own safety.

[spoiler=Other Information]

Sometimes speaks a bit muffled due to his fur.
Can be a bit of an overeater.
Found the TM for Giga Impact when he was young, but never used it because of fear. When a Volcarona attacked the denizens of the Forest he could do nothing, until he decided to use the TM and used the move on the rampaging Pokemon. It almost cost him his life but won him the battle.

From Pokemon: The Promised Land

Constable. Spawned because I grew to love Stoutland and that nickname was the one I decided was my go-to Stoutland name. I wanted to have a character who would be able to help guide the others because, especially with so many young Pokemon, that could be an issue. And Constable, at least my headcanon for how he was in my Nuzlocke, fit that bill.

I wanted a gruff but loved authority figure. Similar to Grigoriy but much nicer. More of a grandpa who also could kick butt than anything else.

And yes he's Adamant nature and yes I felt clever for putting that to use, hush.

He's a very simple character but, imo, a really good one. I see too often characters that are jaded with the world, and I've made them myself, so it was nice to have someone who was honestly hopeful. He was to be a really good role-model for the other characters. But one that was fine with staying on the sidelines so that he doesn't take over the RP

I added in awkwardness around girls because the idea of an old man who still was bad with women was cute to me.

I wanted his bio to be simple because he was a simple kind of guy. Plus there would be way too much to actually talk about due to age and travels so I condensed it into a single, easy to digest, paragraph. As the RP went on we'd probably have seen more details emerge.

Giving him a Chesto berry, honestly, was just something I thought was funny but it also is a nice way of showing how his personality affects how he does things.

Also note that, for such an old and strong Pokemon, he's actually only level 35. This is to show that wild Pokemon don't necessarily grow as strong as trainer ones do (at least not as fast).

His moveset is literally just "something a sheriff would have plus some coverage". I'm happy I found a good reason why he had Giga Impact though and I was hoping maybe to have that Volcarona appear again later.

His fighting style was meant to make it so that he would sustain damage often. Which, for an old man, is dangerous. I wanted Constable to be constantly battling with survival because of this and having to hold back and let the younger Pokemon fight as well in order to not die.

Constable was an interesting character for me and was really fun to play. He would have had so many cool interactions but sadly the RP died because, and yes I'm salty, many of the players simply...stopped responding to anything.

But it was fun to create something like this and who knows, maybe some day a Pokemon with actual Pokemon RP will come along. Or perhaps a trainer will find themselves with this old dog and teach him some new tricks.

Well at least I was able to create the GOAT Pokemon character ever....

Yes next up is another from that RP! (technically the third in the list but meh)

[spoiler=Duchess]o3QlcsI.png
“Hmph"

Personality Information
Name: Duchess
Species: Snivy
Gender: Female, she, her
Age: 2 years old
[spoiler=Appearance]jasuWO2.jpg
Slightly lighter in color than most Snivy, and with even more of a smug face.

[spoiler=Personality]Duchess is somewhat of a spoiled princess. She only wants the best and often refuses anything else. She tends to look down on others and has a very haughty attitude. She's extremely intelligent and she knows it, believing herself to be a prodigy. She uses this intellect to help others, in large part because she adores gratitude. Her opinion on unintelligence is that it shouldn't exist, and she quite dislikes those she considers dumb. Though she doesn't hold them to her standard because she believes she's the most intelligent Pokemon to exist.
She is careful and guarded in many things, including friendships and love. Though a large part of her wants romance and friends, she denies this entirely and even goes so far as to insult those who get close to her.
Duchess is a bit of a coward despite her bravado. She fears the dark, pain, and being alone, among other things. Sometimes this can manifest in surprisingly clingy and childish ways.

[spoiler=Biography]Duchess was one of the starter Pokemon given to new trainers, but her attitude made it so not many people were interested in being her trainer despite that she was bred specially. Until one day she was chosen by a young boy with a craving for adventure. She at first thought this was a boy with great taste, but she was wrong. The boy was a complete idiot. He had a lot of money and used it to buy a bunch of TMs. The only ones that actually worked were Solar Beam and Substitute. He then proceeded to use these moves in the worst possible manner again and again and again. He lost almost every battle, only winning a few through luck. Finally Duchess got sick of it and left the boy, escaping to the one place she heard was a safe haven for wild Pokemon, The White Forest.
She has only been there for a month, but she already is fairly well known for her attitude and the fact that she increased productivity in several areas within the first week of living in the forest.

[spoiler=Combat Information]Level: 7
Ability: Contrary
Held Item:
Moves: Tackle, Leer, Vine Whip, Solar Beam, Substitute
Fighting Style: Tactical but fast. Duchess fights smartly but with an emphasis on hit and run usually.

[spoiler=Other Information]

From Pokemon: The Promised Land

Duchess was a super fun app to make. I really like what i did here. It was brief but explained everything. She didn't have to be super detailed especially as she was young but I think I did well with what little I wrote.

I really wanted to have a Snivy character. It's a Pokemon I've always loved and, honestly, the design of the Pokemon itself screams "personality". And since the nickname for the Mon is often Smugleaf...well I decided to roll with it.

Perhaps it is a typical personality but I do think the addition of liking gratitude helps a little. Softens the smugness as it were, without being contrived. I enjoyed her very simple personality, one which suited her background and her age. It was really fun to write. Honestly this kind of character is one of my favorite to write, to some's chagrin, and I feel like I do it well for some reason.

Her backstory came to me in a flash of inspiration and it just...I'm not sure what to say except it just happened. I wrote it quickly and it all seemed to mesh really well and that's that. I had hoped to bring that trainer into the RP at some point but obviously we never got that far. I feel that Duchess would be mortified by the encounter.

I really, really, really wanted to have her use Substitute and Solar Beam in a fight just once and have it work. It'd been so cool....alas.

Overall she was a simple character with a simple premise and was very simple for me to write. I adored her though and I had fun with everything she did. And she got to do a decent amount of interactions. She even got half the RP characters annoyed at her which definitely was a win in my book. ;)

She is purely a fun character. I didn't have any major intentions and just wanted to see how she'd grow, naturally, which seems to be the way I get the best results now that I think about it. I don't actually have much more to say but I think I should take this as a sign to maybe go back to basics a bit more...hey I learned something, woo!

And now for the last of my Pokemon characters. (Well of this RP). Now, enter....

[spoiler=Samba]uEb70Vs.png
“Hey guys guys this is, uh, this, errr. Oh hi when did you get here?"

Personality Information
Name: Samba
Species: Maractus
Gender: Male, he, him
Age: 5 years old
[spoiler=Appearance]thgNRpB.gif
I couldn't resist the gif. Liligant not included.
Samba wears a red bowtie all the time. Because bowties are cool. Other than that he doesn't look much different than most other Maractus.

[spoiler=Personality]Samba is a free-spirit. He is also a complete air-head. He doesn't really ever understand what's going on and even when he does he sometimes forgets about it right after. Has a horrible memory and tends to forget even his own name sometimes. He's friendly and happy though, always, and naturally gives off an aura of peace and joy. Loves to dance and twirl more than anything and can sometimes be found just dancing around like a fool while in the middle of an errand. However he's always willing to help, despite that he doesn't always get things right, or even finished. He's still the most honest and stalwart companion you could ever come across.
While he understands sadness and loss, he refuses to let it get to him. This may be a coping mechanism, it may be that he's just not smart enough to hang on to negative emotions, but mostly it's just his desire to live in a happy and peaceful world.
Samba likes crowds and is most comfortable when surrounded by friends. He's quick to make friends and practically never abandons them or gets upset.
It may come as a surprise but Samba actually has dreams of heroics. He always wanted to save the world but he's still perfectly happy just living a happy life.

[spoiler=Biography]Samba isn't a native of the White Forest, he originally lived in the desert, a fair distance away. How did he get to White Forest? Well, he's not entirely sure. One day he went out for a walk and was lost in thought. He only stopped and realized something was wrong when he noticed the trees. He had wandered all the way to White Forest. Deciding the place was cozy and, since he didn't have people back home for the most part, decided to stick around. He isn't very useful for anything but the Pokemon of the Forest seem to like him for the most part, even if he can get frustrating to deal with at times. He loves it there and is perfectly happy doing odd-jobs for whoever is willing to give him something to do.

[spoiler=Combat Information]
Level: 10
Ability: Water Absorb
Held Item: Big Root
Moves: Leech Seed, Spiky Shield, Absorb, Pin Missile, Sweet Scent, Cotton Guard
Fighting Style: Barely doing anything. Just sit tight and survive.

[spoiler=Other Information][spoiler=theme music]

Weirdly fascinated by Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison types

From Pokemon: The Promised Land

Because how could I not do a Maractus? Probably my silliest and maybe funnest of my characters. This guy was incredible and I love him to pieces. I wanted to try and make a character that was actually totally a carefree idiot. No baggage. No darkness. No hidden wisdom. Just a lovable idiot.

I was really happy to think about using the back sprite for the image cause it really sets the tone in my opinion.

And yes I made a Doctor Who reference because why not? Maybe Samba is secretly a Time Lord who knows.

Samba is the simplest character I've made, most likely, and honestly it's really nice to look back on that. Sometimes things get too complicated or sad and that's when Samba shines. I fully intended to keep him basically the same throughout the journey with maybe an occasional "moment" but I wanted to try a mostly static character to see how that works.

Even his bio was simple. I barely had to put thought into it and yet I think it works super perfectly for who he is and what was needed.

I honestly really liked his combat stuff because it was just hilarious to imagine. I think I wanted him to learn Ingrain too at some point but I forget. Basically he wouldn't be able to do much but he'd be the greatest support ever. Without even trying.

Oh and yes I made him interested in all the things that hurt him because it just fits don't it?

Overall I really loved this character which is fitting for my favorite Pokemon. He even got to have a really amusing back and forth early on. It would have been really fun to see how he reacted to everything else and test myself to see if I could keep him consistently stupid and happy.

And now we reach an on-going RP...my RP in fact. I have a lot of NPCs for this but for now let's focus on my "official" PC characters.

[spoiler=PokeWitch]
kLVm2ld.jpg?1
“Hello there, little one, do you need help?”

Name: Gwendoline
Species: Mismagius
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Favored Legend: Giratina
[spoiler=Appearance]
Z9RLFLi.jpg
Gwen is fairly average height, standing at 5‘5“  (165 cm) but weighing only 88 pounds (40 kg). Though “standing" is a bit of a misnomer. For Gwen doesn't have feet. Five inches (13 cm) of her feet and ankles are completely missing, replaced with a strange purplish smoke. She is constantly hovering so her practical height is actually 5‘10“ (178 cm)

The gems around her waist flash when she's feeling especially emotional or in pain, and they begin to look dull when she weakens greatly.

[spoiler=Personality]

Gwen is a kind and mature young lady. She always tries to find the best solution to any problem and goes out of her way to help out anyone in need. She believes that every Gijinka have something to offer to the world and she desires to help them do it as long as it’s positive. She is still young, however, so she has a playful side as well. She tends to tease others often and is always quick to laugh and make little jokes. Though her jokes tend to be on the corny side. Her favorite opener in battle, for instance, is “You don’t have a Ghost of a chance”. She thinks this is funny and a little cool, and she can get flustered when people point out how bad it is.
Motherly is a good word for Gwen, she fusses and frets over those who are hurt, sick, or otherwise feeling down. And she always tries to give advice and a positive outlook on things.
She’s quite sensitive, as well, and it can be easy to upset her. She doesn’t do well with straight up insults, though she puts on a brave face. She’s easily embarrassed and flustered at affection at times, even if she herself is affectionate towards others often.
When things go badly she can become somewhat disheartened and sad. However she tries to keep an optimistic attitude and roll with the punches.
Speaking of punches, Gwen doesn’t like physical confrontation and tries to avoid it. But there’s an angry switch in her that when flipped means she’s not gonna put up with your s*** anymore and she’ll let you know.

[spoiler=Biography]

Gwendoline was born and raised in Alpha. The oldest child of four, she was always taking care of the younger children. She especially made sure to keep them from exploring too deep into the caves. Though one day she had to chase a child farther into the cave than she was supposed to go. What happened there is a memory that has been lost to Gwen but it still troubles her to this day, despite that the child was safe afterwards. She never got too far into the rivalry with Omega. Or at least she didn’t think so. She has trouble even remembering what the rivalry was about, let alone how she felt about it. But she doesn’t let that bother her, if it was important she’d surely remember.
She left Alpha at a somewhat early age, hesitantly leaving the young Gijinka of the village to set out on her own. She had wanted to get stronger to be able to protect the village from some threat that she was sure it was facing but couldn’t quite figure out what threat.
She decided to become a Chaser because it would be the best way of getting stronger, and her plans are to become a Legend and make this dangerous and often in turmoil region safe for all.
She has a particular interest in Giratina, whenever the Dragon is brought up she feels an urge to defeat it totally. If you ask her why she’ll just shrug and say “It just feels like what I’m supposed to do.”

[spoiler=Combat Information]

Level: 33 (30)

Ability: Levitate, As stated earlier instead of feet Gwen hovers several inches off the ground. Even when knocked down or sleeping she’ll be lying on the air slightly unless she’s tied down.

[spoiler=Moves/Powers]

Evil Eye: An eye-like shape appears above Gwen's head, mentally latching onto an opponent and dealing damage directly to their Aura unless they break free in time. It is even more powerful if the target is afflicted with an ailment. (Hex)

Dance of the Forest Spirits: Gwen can summon a flurry of leaves, surrounded by a slight dark energy, to launch at the foe. These leaves can be controlled at will and have slight tracking capabilities. However the longer they go on the more energy Gwen expends and the weaker they get. (Magical Leaf)

From the Darkest Corner: The usually composed Gwen also has a bit of a dark side deep in her mind, and she can tap into this to strengthen her attacks almost two-fold for a brief period of time. This wears her out if used too long, or too often, however. (Nasty Plot)

Share The Load: An unusual power that, when Gwen makes eye contact (or an equivalent if no eyes exist), she can either share her health, or sap the health, of her target. Which depends on the amount of health they both have, until they are even in health level. (Pain Split)

Plague Roulette: By making contact with her target, Gwen can afflict them with a random status ailment, though the effects are weaker than those brought on by normal attacks.

[spoiler=Other]

Money/Items:

500 Poke, Comfy Pillow, 3 Old Gateau

Misc:

Theme

Battle Theme

-Mismagius have a strange tradition once they evolve. The moment they do they’re compelled to put on the first hat they see and it is transformed into the customary Mismagius hat. In Gwen’s case it was a strawhat owned by a Monferno named Luffy.

-Touching the gems around her waist can cause several different reactions in Gwen, and she doesn't like people getting close to them.

-While she can't exactly lay her head on the pillow like others she tends to sleep holding the pillow to her face, and she has frightening nightmares when it's taken away.

-Carries chocolate around to give to upset kids.

-Was once proposed to, but they vanished suddenly the next day. Which makes her nervous about romance.

-Is quite proud of her name, as her parents gave it to her and she respects that, but prefers Gwen because it's easier for people to say.

From Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God

Ahhh Gwen. When I made a Gijinka RP I knew I had to use Mismagius because that's one of my favorite Gijinka art of all time. Reserved that so damn fast I think I had it in the OOC right away.

It's interesting because originally there was only to be one group and, when the split happened, I actually put Gwen in the group away from the original starting location despite having been the first character. I always wonder what would have happened had I not done it. Thinking on it Gwen might've become an NPC instead.

I decided that she seemed like a really sweet person and I was trying to find a name that'd fit a nice witch and Gwendoline just rolled off the tongue and it was a match made in heaven.

I wanted to figure out something to make her less human than she appeared because a problem I see with a lot of Gijinka art is that they tend to just be humans with clothing. So I took away her feet and made her float everywhere (though I do often forget this while writing) and made it so that the hat is actually something special to them upon evolving.

When deciding a personality I basically just wanted to make the sweetest person I could. Because I knew there would be kids in the RP and there would be tougher characters. So Gwen was made so that she could take care of any children that happened to be around. Sadly we don't get to see this as much because the children are in other teams but I do what I can. I found it interesting to have a young woman be so motherly and I wanted to try and give the impression of "Mature for her age but not as mature as she tries to be."

Her reasons for chasing Giratina are mysterious on purpose and she doesn't even know for sure why it is. I figured that giving her younger siblings would be a great way to explain how she acts. Most of her bio is a mystery due to the rather...unusual nature of her hometown and I am excited for when I get to expand upon it more.

When deciding combat moves I didn't want to make her tryhard, as she's a pacifist (Which btw is so hard to do here lol) but I wanted her to be able to protect people. I went with the witchiest moves I could think of and went from there. Now that the move number has increased and since Mismagius doesn't have level up moves I will have to find a way to fit Mystic Fire in there too..hmm...

In any case Gwen has been a treat to write though I do often worry she's kind of sidelined. This is due to me having to write for several teams and so, so, so many different NPCs. But hopefully as we get closer to heading for her hometown I'll be able to show more of her character. As it stands she's trying to be a mother to the youngest member of their group, despite them not being that much younger than her, while also feeling both admiration and jealousy of the other, more competent, group members.
It's also interesting to have her react to all the terrible things that happen in Adarid. Even, or especially, the things that the players don't think twice about.

Still going strong with Gijinka characters. This one created after the decision to split the group up.

[spoiler=The Hero Has Arrived!]
NL4wo2Y.png?2
“There’s nothing I can’t do with heart and uhh determination! Come at me I’ll take you all on! Stop laughing!”

Name: Mackenzie “Mac"
Species: Helioptile
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Favored Legend: Groudon
[spoiler=Appearance]
iVtasBH.png?1
At 5‘2“ and 100 pounds Mac is about average sized, if slightly smaller. The frills on the side of her head aren't just decoration, they're actually able to detect shifts in weather and Mac can move them around slightly.

[spoiler=Personality]

Larger than life is one way to describe her. A complete airhead is another, more accurate, description. Mac has a very weak survival instinct and a serious chip on her shoulder. She likes to fight and especially likes to get up close and personal. Despite that her species being better at a different fighting style. But she’s not about to let that stop her; she’s determined to defeat all her foes and have the grandest adventure of all time! She likes to talk about Legendaries and can sometimes be a bit chatty. She’s relatively friendly though also a little competitive and confrontational. She speaks her mind no matter who it is to, which can get her into a lot of trouble in a world such as this.
She’s brave, reckless, and loyal. If you earn her trust she’ll stick to you and protect you from anything that comes your way. Even if you’re actually much stronger than her. She tends to act tough. That isn’t to say she isn’t tough. She actually is quite hardy but she’s clearly not the strongest Gijinka around.
She doesn’t like when people make fun of her and can be a bit paranoid about others laughing, sometimes assuming they’re laughing at her. She’s quick to start a fight but also quick to apologize after a misunderstanding. She has total faith in herself and those she calls friends and truly believes that with determination and friendship she can do anything.
As mentioned before she truly is an airhead, and subtlety tends to go over her head. She’s not completely gullible though, and if she’s takes a moment to think, she often realizes when she’s being straight up lied to. Unfortunately she tends to act on instinct and trust her heart more often than not.

[spoiler=Biography]

Mac was born in Oasis and she never really left it. She had a few friends but none of them seemed to share her fascination with legends and battles. She often got into trouble for fighting but she would still sneak out to seek fights anyway. One of these times, when she was merely 11, she got into it with a much older Gijinka, a Primeape with an attitude problem. He was about to seriously hurt her when a flash of thunder struck and took the Primeape down in one shot.
Mac was in awe, and when she saw the man who had saved her she was sure it was Raikou. The Legend gave a grin and flashed her a piece sign before running off at extreme speed.
Ever since then her love of Legends grew and grew, and she became almost obsessed with studying them. She came to learn of many different Legends, from the mysterious and alien Deoxys to the ancient force that was Regigigas. She took a particular interest in Meloetta, as Mac was a lover of music, but decided that the one she really wanted to take down was Groudon, for the challenge.
Of course she still wished to meet Raikou one day to thank him, as well as meet every single Legend in existence. Giratina terrifies her however, but even that one she wants to face eventually.
She decided to become a Chaser, something her parents weren’t too keen on, especially after Volcanion’s body was discovered in their very city. But Mac was determined, she would set out and achieve her dreams no matter what!

[spoiler=Combat Information]
Level: 14 (12)
Ability: Solar Power, Mac gains a power boost when fighting under especially bright sunlight, but every attack weakens her health.
[spoiler=Moves/Powers]
Hit Em in the Face!: Simply put this is Mac using her firsts, head, etc, to smack the opponent. Extremely simply but surprisingly strong nonetheless. (Pound)

Sparks Fly!: Mac lets out a short to medium range blast of electrical energy that causes damage, not very strong but has potential to grow stronger. (Thundershock)

Just Give Me a Sec!: Electrical energy is channeled through her frills and surrounds her body in a slight electrical field. Makes non-physical attacks against her do less damage for a short period of time and increases the power of the next Electric attack she uses. (Charge)

Get Down and Stay Down!: Mac uses her legs to kick out at an opponent, if she connects with their legs this attack slows their movement speed down. (Low Sweep)

Super Blinding Attack!: Mac forces energy through the ground, and launches mud at the opponent, which can lower their accuracy. (Mud Slap)

Who Needs Thunderpunch?: Mac's strongest attack, which can only be used after she has used Charge. It delivers a short-range electric blast at high power. The attack is essentially a suped up punch but it uses Mac's Aura to bypass physical defenses. Can't be used too often or else Mac will pass out.

[spoiler=Other]
Money/Items:
500 Poke, 1 Full Heal, and that’s all. “I don’t need items!” more like she lost them.

Misc:
Theme
Battle Theme

-Hates her name as it's too "girly" so she goes by Mac.

-Loves the rain and loves to play in it, despite being stronger in the sun.

-Really likes music, especially singing. Has had a bit of a fascination with Meloetta.

-Knows a surprising amount about the Legends.

From Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God

Sethera showed me the image and I knew I had to make a character. I never thought much of the Pokemon she's based on but I just had to use that image.

I wanted someone young and fairly weak but scrappy. I felt there would be a ton of stronger Gijinka or weaker ones who didn't fight so I wanted to make the fightiest character I could.

So she became one of those "What you say about me fite me jabroni" with more innocence. And it was great. I had to try and keep her from being too similar to some other characters so I made it that she was kind of dense but also knowledgeable. In that she is an airhead about life but a genius when it comes to legends. The idea was she spent her entire life learning about them and wanting to fight them and didn't really take the time to worry about if she could and understanding basic things.

I feel I fail sometimes in making her airheaded enough though but I am pretty happy with how aggressive and FITE ME she is.

With her bio I wanted to have someone native to Oasis because it was where half the RP would start. I also wanted to show that the legends were in fact active back then.

It was also really fun to hint at the fact that Mac is a pretty good fighter despite her low level. Underestimating her is actually bad because of how damn shonen she is.

It was a simple bio because she literally is just some young girl with dreams of grandeur and that's exactly what I wanted.

The combat was really fun. The Heli line is really strong in special attack. Like they can be pretty dangerous with something like Thunderbolt. Buuuut nah. Mac isn't like that. She want to fight and punch so that's what I gave her.

However I didn't want the special stat to be useless so I gave her a special thunderpunch which I feel fits her enough and at least lets her do one "super" move.

I love Mac. She's so fun and really easy to have do things. Though I worry, like with other of my Gijinka characters, that I push her to the side because Host Post. She should probably be a bit more active but it can be difficult. I hope to get to have her be more and more active as she gets stronger though. Once she evolves watch out. ;)
