During your Main Phase: You can target 1 face-down monster your opponent controls; Special Summon this card from your hand to your opponent's field. If you do, the targeted monster cannot change its Battle Position or Tributed while this card is face-up on the field. While you control a face-down monster, this card cannot be Tributed or used as a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Material monster, also you must pay 500 LP to Special Summon monsters. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: Take 1000 damage, also if you have 2 or more cards in your hand, send 1 of them to the Graveyard.

Well at least it can change to Attack Position and attack to get rid of it, or be negated by card effects. It's bothersome and disruptive but also lolzy.

It is also not too abusive. It is a -1 for you and a +1 for the opponent so the discard is actually fair, not to mention you might need some extra manual methods to achieving the condition like Book of Moon or Swords of Concealing Light. It'll be better if you can use the latter and drop 2 of this card onto their field. Level 3 Fiend is searchable enough by "drop to Grave and retrieve" methods. I could only think of having it improved by making it 0 DEF because Recurring Nightmare, although it already has Dark Eruption going for it without having to resort to that.

 

Definitely would use it in Zone-locking decks.

Oh right, I forgot about Recurring Nightmare lol. Plus the card name fits this card so well. I'll change it to 0 DEF.

 

Yeah, it can be changed to Attack Position to suicide, so most likely it shines best (or only shines) in stall/burn decks.
