Libracor Posted December 13, 2016 Report Share Posted December 13, 2016 Hello, YCM community!I got this idea a really long time ago about using cards that I made myself on this forum to write a fanfiction. The story will mostly take its cues from the official anime and manga series. However, just another OC fanfic isn't very impressive, so what I want to do is to rework some of the issues with my old writing and turn it into a fan comic that I can post on this forum. I can (and have) handle the story, characters, cards, and duels, but the one thing I absolutely cannot do is draw :( I need anywhere from 1-3 capable artists who can supply me with 2D images of monsters. I plan to use "Comic Maker Comipo!" to lay out the groundwork for page layout and human characters. Then, I will place the 2D monster images on the page, print it when finished, and trace the image onto another paper to get a fluid 2D image. I will post the final products on the forum for all to see, and everyone who helped will be credited. StoryThe story takes place in a world where (in order to justify using cards to solve our problems) an ancient magic known as The Edict governs all conflict in the universe. The Edict prevents high-stakes competition and war unless it is conducted using the magic within Duel Monsters Cards. The story focuses on a boy (Whose name I have yet to determine) attending a prestigious Duel Academy. As he faces everyday bullying from higher-ranked students and constant losses due to his stubborn desire to use the cards his father designed, he holds on to his dream of becoming the number one duelist at the academy. He introduces Industrial Illusions' newest Extra Deck mechanics as the year starts, and as he struggles to make new friends and understand the hidden connections between their cards, a dark and foreign force approaches...
