[spoiler=VRAINS 40]

  • Go fought well, but got creamed by Borrelsword Dragon. (Now to see how it ends up being IRL when we actually get it).
    • RIP Onizuka
  • Footage went out.
  • Giant Ogre has nice effects, though Borrelsword had more on its plate to deal with it. But on a side note, we have a Link 4 Gouki that isn't sheet. Take that into consideration.
  • IDK, Go probably could've won this last episode if he had drawn Poison Mist to cut down Mirror Force (or searched it thereof).
  • In the end, more Yusaku fighting.

[spoiler=Soooo]

Aoi and Go just went there to die.... Ok then.

[spoiler=stuff]

Pretty much.

Go technically went out honorably, whereas Aoi got trolled by Spectre's Plant spam.

what is master ogre

[spoiler=Vrains 40]

* Go did good for such a boring character

* Borrelsword is looking nice, especially because its effect can still trigger the vullets

* RIP footage

* If go went into Master Ogre instead of trying to sheet out 10000 of the lower-link goukis then he could have won tbh

* Ah well back to BUY CYBERSE

I forgot about Master Ogre for a bit, but another good one because Destroy sucks or isn't great. But that's a discussion for TCG, not here.

[spoiler= I'm starting to see a pattern ]

Just like in each of their first duels in VRAINS. Go lost with honor in the middle of a crowd cheering for both sides and regained the heart of the kids anyways, while Blue Angel was blank faced on her knees when she took Playmaker's direct attack and then fell into a comma.

Now again, Go loses with honor and Aoi gets humiliated and falls into a comma.

Wonder if this will repeat as many times in the series as the number of recap episodes we've had so far.

The script for Vrains 2nd season, for when/if revolver teams with yusaku and co and facing a strong villain: Aoi gets humiliated, go goes down with honor, revolver almost win, yusaku solve the problem.

[spoiler=Thoughts on VRAINS 41]
- Great, the first 3 and a half mins of the episode recaps events from the last 8 episodes... (At least it's not an entire episode)
- The reporters are saying that this will be a historic duel (In theory)
- It feels like an eternity since the last speed duel (the last one being 2 and a half months ago)
- Playmaker thought he had an answer to Mirror Force, but Revolver "conveniently" had a counter to that via his monster's eff (said monster certainly reminded of Twin-Headed Behemoth)
- Revolver mentions that none of the data they retrieved was related to Ai's memories meaning that it must've lied about losing them as they're still inside it, and as he later said, if an AI can lie, it is a threat to humanity.
- He also says that its control id is IGN006 (too much water, right?  Kappa  ) and was modelled after Yusaku during the Lost Incident where six AI with free will were created which was the true goal.
- Ignis were supposed to save humanity? Though given that they have free will I didn't think that would always be the case as Revolver said, they evolved fairly quickly (Which lead to Cyberse World being created)
- Revolver summons a Link-3 that has all upward arrows. Definitely not something one should put in the Extra Monster Zone.

I don't know why, I know it probably won't be the case, but it genuinely feels like this is the end of the series, maybe it's because of the recaps, maybe it's because I don't really see where else they could go, they have revealed all that needed to be revealed, this is the bad guy fight. The chess piece things may indicate that is not the case, but other than that, it does feel like the end.

TOURNAMENT ARC

All previous Yu-Gi-Oh!s had at least 1 tournament, so VRAINS must continue the tradition! I'm sure they'll come up with something to continue the series. 5D's had a similar feeling at the end of the Dark Signers Arc.

I mean besides tournaments we're still missing a couple of things:

  • Firewall Dragon upgrade
  • Link 5+ monsters
  • EXTRA LINK!
  • Yusaku's Special Ability (unless you count that "feeling VRAINS IRL" thingy.)

Plus, if VRAINS is somehow ending and there are no news for a new YGO series (even if it's too soon), that means the end for the card game!!!

[spoiler=VRAINS 041]

  • I mean, it's not 24 minutes of recap, but still 3.5 minutes of recapping sheet.
  • Uh, why the hell are we getting the long "arrowheads confirmed" thing again?
  • New Link Monster from Revolver, but definitely arrows suck (unless they do something).
  • Yusaku knew about Mirror Force, but convenient counter by Revolver. I have to credit him for actually planning ahead for it.
    • I was going to ask "Yusaku, why the hell did you not trigger Decode", but then I remember that Decode only blocks targeting effects; which Mirror Force doesn't.
  • Yusaku still dry ass and doesn't care about AI's fate.
  • We find out AI was modeled on Yusaku from the Lost Incident and its purpose.

[spoiler=42 preview]

Name is Stardust Road's Guidance, so...5Ds reference much?

Also figure out how things work.

Now to start siding Mirror Force to screw Link spammers.

Well, it's the first Link Monster that could make an Extra Link a lot easier, should they release it in IRL.

[spoiler=VRAINS 42]

  • Episode name pretty much being "Dr. Kogami sacrifices himself to give Revolver a chance of winning". I guess this was supposed to be a reference to where Revolver lives (and probably a back reference to 5Ds, though Revolver is technically the "antagonist" here whereas we know about Yusei anyway).
    • In the end, Revolver gets a new Link 4, then double KOs because his dad is dying due to said actions.
  • Right, and Revolver's real name is Ryōken. (Also he just takes his current appearance inside VRAINS; he's otherwise fair-skinned)
  • AI gave Yusaku a chance to grab Transcode Talker in the harsh Data Storm; not that Yusaku cared about it until later.
  • Flash Charge's first effect pretty much means no Extra Linking with it in the MMZ, but suppose it's a good thing because then you don't get your stuff blown up.
  • Something about Security Dragon showing up, but then Flash Charge negating it.

Someone should go make a thread about Flash Charge and stuff now that their effects have been released. Even though the new TCG rules appear to discourage it, all you really have to do is provide some insight in later posts.

[spoiler=VRAINS 42]

  • I'm not sure how Dr. Kogami stopping "time" and fixing Revolver's hand makes sense, but I'll look past that.
  • New Topologic monster looks boring tbh.
  • I expected Playmaker to win, but I guess we getting a DRAW.
  • Ngl, Revolver's real life appearance and his voice don't match at all.
  • Playmaker and Revolver finally meet IRL the next episode. I really want to see how this goes.

[spoiler=Thoughts on VRAINS 42]

- Ai still had some tricks up its sleeve to help Yusaku pull another card from thin air a data storm with Storm Access, after failing due to harsh conditions.

- We learn that Revolver's IRL name is Ryoken

- Dr Kogami didn't want to involve Revolver, but knew that without him, humanity couldn't be saved from destruction and thus gives him a shot at winning

- Not gonna lie when Revolver went to try again at Storm Access, I thought his board made a car ignition sound, dunno why though to be fair.

- Revolver's new Topologic continues the trend of the other 2; when something is summoned next to its link, nuke sheet.

- Considering what was happening regarding Dr Kogami, I'm not too surprised the duel ended in a draw. I initially thought the duel would end unfinished tbph, but I suppose Revolver finding the quickest way to end the duel works too.

[spoiler=Thoughts on VRAINS 43]

- After bringing up Stardust Road, Yusaku remembers what Kusanagi told him about the ocean and Kusanagi realises that Revolver was under their noses the whole time. Of course Ryoken knew who the pair of them were upon their arrival

- Dr Kogami believed that AIs could be humanity's sucessors, and thus created the Lost Incident to aid said idea as he thought that duels would be the best way for AI to understand humans.

- So it was Revolver who reported the Lost Incident, but ended up regretting doing so as it caused Dr Kogami to get imprisoned

- After performing 20-billion simulations (1 billion) Dr Kogami came to the conclusion that humans are will eventually view AI as an enemy (and vice-versa), hence why Revolver wanted to kill the Ignis.

- We learn that it was Revolver who told Yusaku to think of "three things", and it was when he brought it up that Revolver knew who he was.

- Revolver knew that Playmaker would try to destroy Mirror Force, thus had a countermeasure to bait him. That being said, Playmaker's plays allowed him to play around Mirror Force that turn

I'm not sure what you're asking. The thread is for the anime if that's what you mean. As in discussing it and such.

Also just letting you know this kind of post is sorta spammy so be careful about that, kay?

[spoiler what I mean]

It means that everyone is converted into lost data, except for Yusaku and Revolver. Meaning they're the cyberspace version of dead.

I assume Cow knows what's up (I suspect so at least). He was merely responding to a person who clearly had no idea what was going on and I assume the post he responded to was reported.
