Yu-Gi-Oh: Weapons of Old (OOC/Started/Accepting)

Yu-Gi-Oh has always been a game of pitting one's monsters against another's. Now, you can fight alongside your own monsters with the new addition of weapon cards. After weapon cards were introduced, Yu-Gi-Oh became an even bigger hit.
Now, players were able to fight alongside their favorite monsters. However, with the introduction of weapons, there have been gangs introduced to the city, trying to steal cards from weaker opponents. One gang, the Phantom Knights, has been wreaking havoc on the entire city of Neo Paradise. There are 5 main gangs, the Black Luster Soldiers, the Buster Bladers, the Gaian Knights, the Dark Scorpions, and the Phantom Knights.

A strange figure has just approached you and offered you a card. If you accept, you must help take down the Phantom Knights. After accepting, the figure has told you to meet in the abandoned warehouse on the city's outskirts. There, it will give you the card.


About the Gangs:
[spoiler=Black Luster Soldiers]
The BLS gang is all about fighting together in battle royals. Whether or not its 2 on 2 or 5 on 2. They will always try to win, with whatever means necessary. Their leader is King Ignark.



[spoiler=Buster Bladers]
Buster Bladers specify in tag duels. One player uses dragons, the other Bladers. They play cards that work together and join their strategies into one. Their leader is Dragon Knight Paladius.



[spoiler=Gaian Knights]
The Gaian Knights fight with honor. They battle one on one. Although they have the easiest types of duels, they don't exactly play by the rules. They might stack their decks, or flat out change the text on a card through jail-breaking their duel disk. Their leader is Master Ulysses.



[spoiler=Dark Scorpions]
The Dark Scorpions are a gang of fighters. Their decks consist mostly of weapon cards and they use them to battle in teams of 5. Their leader is Don Zaloog.

Sectors of the City

The poorest part of town. Like the Satellite from 5Ds. Where the Dark Scorpion gang is most prominent.

The Middle class part of the city. Houses here are ordinary to semi-luxurious. Where the BLS, Gaian Knights, and Buster Blader gangs are most prominent.

The Upper Class part of town. People here live in mansions and lives of luxury. Where the Phantom Knights gang is most prominent.

Backstory: Yuli was always an outgoing kid, but he never had many friends. He preferred just to play with his cards and deck build. One day, a shadowy figure approached him. It offered him what he wanted most, a chance to be a hero. Obviously, Yuli took the deal.

Personality: Yuli is very outgoing. He is loud and a bit obnoxious. Those he likes, he really likes, and those he doesn't like, he still likes a little. He is always trying to make friends, although he rarely does have it go the full length. He likes to move fast and some people don't like that. Yuli is ready to take on any challenge that comes his way. Unless he thinks it's stupid/boring/unnecessary.

Biography: Cedron used to love dueling before the Phantom Knights killed her mother, her only family, after that day she became depressed, lost any interest in dueling, or anything else for that matter, and replaced her once colorful deck with the "Discord" archetype. She spends most of her time either sleeping, which she does very little of due to horrible dreams, or wandering the streets looking for members of the Phantom Knights to duel. Eventually some stranger walked up to her and offered her two weapon cards, a new card type she had yet to have first hand experience with, as long as she came to some warehouse on the other side of town, not really caring whether it was a trap or not she decided to go, if it isn't she gets some new cards, if it is then oh well, not
like she had plans anyway

Personality: Her mood is somewhat sparatic, most the time she acts absent minded and disinterested in everything, occasionally while dueling she'll let out some of the emotion that used to fuel her. When she plays her ace "Grand Discordian King Xaos" it means she either wants to ge the game over with as quickly as possible or she thinks you actually have a chance at beating her, it's ussually impossible to tell. Often she'll feign happyness or interest in a person to disguise her true feelings and motives.

Deck: Discord, a unique set of Negative monsters, they focus on banishment only to return the banished cards to the field or deck, their levels can fluxuate between positive and negative, creating chaos as the user has two completely different play options depending on the levels of their monsters

Backstory: Noah was born in the Mid-City. His parents were every bit like the perfect family. His father had taught him how to play Duel Monsters. His father used to be a lesser known duelist in the underground during his young adult life, but later settled for a Middle-Class job in Mid-City after meeting his mother, and later marrying her. As the Phantom Knights and other gangs started popping and making themselves known. Noah became influenced by one group in particular. The Gaian Knights. Noah personally didn't like how the Phantom Knights were messing about in the city. Noah saw a chance with the Gaian Knights. Preffering their more "honorable" and "fair" way of dueling. One night as he was wondering the streets at night, heading down to meet with some other Gaian Knights, when he was approached by a mysterious stranger. He was told that he would recieve a certain card if he agreed to help take down the Phantom Knights. Noah immediately accepted this offer. He would take any chance to asssist in taking these guys off the streets.
 

Personality: Noah is a very polite individual, even towards his opponents (Even though in a more sarcastic manner). He often gets very excited when he is out on missions to help the Gaian Knights gain influence, often activeley on the lookout for anyone that he would find interesting.

Name: Aliel Bartholomew Quinn

Appearance: A lightly tanned man usually seen in either his officer’s uniform (while on-duty) or a short-sleeve navy blue button down over suspendered slacks (while off-duty).  When he’s expecting to duel though, he wears a loose navy blue tee and jeans to prioritize mobility.  Considering his department, he carries a city-issued black and white duel disk on his belt.

 

He has wavy black hair that has started going grey along the sides and always seems to sport a shadow of a beard.  He has lost much of his muscle over the years, but he still has a fairly heavy build that complements his 6’3” frame.  He has slightly sunken green eyes and large hands and feet.
 

Backstory: Born to a lower middle class family on the cusp of the Mid-City/Outskirts, Aliel grew up as an only child to two hardworking parents.  He was raised by the “Neighborhood nanny”, Mrs. Mari who liked putting on professional duels while watching the children.  By the time Aliel started school, he nearly knew more about dueling than the basic shapes and colors.  Though he wasn’t to get his own cards until middle school, he became a dueling genius and liked borrowing and winning with his friends’ cards.  However once in high school, he had to give up his hobbies to focus on studies.  Finding sports to be a new outlet, he was active all through high school and, upon graduating, went and became a police officer.

It was not until years later when small duel gangs began popping up that things would come full circle for Aliel.  Wanting to bring these gangs to justice, the police force began trying to duel the gangs into submission, but only Aliel was successful in bringing in people.  The chief, recognizing Aliel’s skill, made him the head of a newly developed department with the purpose of using duels to keep the peace.  Ten years later, Aliel is the head of one of the largest police departments, successfully moved into Center City, and married the younger daughter of his Mrs. Mari: Sophia.  However, despite all his success, Aliel is now often stuck behind a desk instead of out and dueling.  Beginning to become frustrated, Aliel began to consider transitioning out from the police force when he was approached by a mysterious person with an opportunity to bring down the most notoriously troublesome gang in all of Neo Paradise.
 

Personality: A workaholic who has always had a problem sitting still.  A generally content guy, he tries not to let things phase him, though he has quite a problem with impatience.  He tends to have a slightly overblown ego and would much rather do things himself rather than outsourcing anything to anyone.  His closest friends would describe him as well-intentioned but thickheaded.  In a duel, his emotional levels tend to rise and he cannot keep a straight face in any situation.
 

Deck: He has 2.  His police-issued deck works with an archetype known as “Null Enforcer”.  It is negation-based and very counter-trap heavy.  It is not much of Aliel’s playstyle, and using it gives his identity as a cop away, so he only uses it while on duty.

It was not until years later when small duel gangs began popping up that things would come full circle for Aliel.  Wanting to bring these gangs to justice, the police force began trying to duel the gangs into submission, but only Aliel was successful in bringing in people.  The chief, recognizing Aliel’s skill, made him the head of a newly developed department with the purpose of using duels to keep the peace.  Ten years later, Aliel is the head of one of the largest police departments, successfully moved into Center City, and married the younger daughter of his Mrs. Mari: Sophia.  However, despite all his success, Aliel is now often stuck behind a desk instead of out and dueling.  Beginning to become frustrated, Aliel began to consider transitioning out from the police force when he was approached by a mysterious person with an opportunity to bring down the most notoriously troublesome gang in all of Neo Paradise.
 

Personality: A workaholic who has always had a problem sitting still.  A generally content guy, he tries not to let things phase him, though he has quite a problem with impatience.  He tends to have a slightly overblown ego and would much rather do things himself rather than outsourcing anything to anyone.  His closest friends would describe him as well-intentioned but thickheaded.  In a duel, his emotional levels tend to rise and he cannot keep a straight face in any situation.
 

Deck: He has 2.  His police-issued deck works with an archetype known as “Null Enforcer”.  It is negation-based and very counter-trap heavy.  It is not much of Aliel’s playstyle, and using it gives his identity as a cop away, so he only uses it while on duty.

I'll say now, my character is not likely to interact with your characters right now unless given a reason to. He'd be too lost in thought. Someone talking or challenging him to a duel aught to loosen him up (if anyone is willing to). Otherwise, he's likely to leave.
