Blink.

Blink.

Tesability had been caught with wings stretched out as the odd buzzing thingie flew around her head, almost making her wanna snap her muzzle around it to try to catch it. She didn't get to as someone else, looking more like an actual Fire Human NetMonster...minus the lack of hair, showed up in front of her. The newcomer seemed to be looking for the buzzer around her, though his attention changed to her as soon as he saw her and approached her excitedly.

"You're the strange digital dragon girl right? Radical! Okay, listen listen listen, I'm Erik. I was called here to fix some bugs in the Arena program. But what awesome timing! I could use your help! There's one bug I've been having some trouble tracking down but if I have YOU you can chase the rascal and gobble it up right?"

The dragon had no idea what he was talking about, causing the white dots in her her eyes to literally turn into visible spirals in confusion. "Ai now nowsh wha' yu tawksh abowtsh," the dragon whined before shaking her head to clear the spirals from her eyes and looking back up towards the stranger, towards Erik. "Wha' Buhgsh," she asked, her watch translating her words loudly enough to be heard.

Tesability

Eric frowned. "I guess her data consumption isn't all that good when outside of the digital realm? Well I guess that makes sense she's physical out here." At this point Eric put a hand on Tesabilities head. "Wonder how she manages that...Oh, sorry, I'm talking to myself. Kinda do that a lot when you're surrounded by nothing but robots all day. Uh...well here it'll be easier to show you."

He led her down the hallway and stopped at a seemingly nondescript part of the wall. Raising his watch and inputting some commands a panel slid open to reveal what looked to be a keypad with a screen. "This is what I mean." He typed a few things and symbols on the screen popped up for a while until they formed what looked like a rabbit in 8-bit form. "This thing got into the system and I keep trying to track it down but it's a slippery thing. But with your ability you can go in and chase the bugger down right?"

[spoiler=OOC]Okay so Tayla this is Tes's "treat". She can go into what will basically be a maze where a digital creation resembling a rabbit is hopping around. It's fast and tricky but Tes can catch it and eat it and it'll count as her meal for the day. The treat is that she can do this in place of paying for a meal for three days. Also feel free to have her interact with Eric more if you want.

He left the arena extremely angered. This was the second time he had lost because his "health" had gotten too low - granted, he had been worn down quite a bit at that point, but still. He had expected more of a fight from the dragon compared to the humans, but not quite to this point. "You're slipping, Cyan!" He shook his head, although he was grinning. "Can't believe I thought about training for a second there..." He chuckled to himself. "Might not be a bad idea, actually. Gotta find something else to do other than hit up that ol' bar." He wasn't sure where, exactly, he was headed to. So he decided to aimlessly wander until he found something that would let him at least do some physical activity to warm up.

Xia vs Angela - Part 1

As the fight had started, Xia looked around the battlefield saying, “ooooh, well, this is kind of smaller than usual.” Tapping her chin pondering about this, the girl then looked over to Angela, waving again saying, “well, you ready to fight now?”

“Yeah, I’m definitely ready.” To lose, of course. At this point it was easier for Angela to treat all of her matches as hopeless for her to be able to enjoy them. The battlefield was far from advantageous to her too, leaving her little room to maneuver and prepare her strikes against. Xia. Nevertheless, she still prepared her stance.

“Come at me.”

With a big, oddly friendly smile on her face, Xia cracked her knuckles saying, “let’s have fun!” With that, the dragon girl did her tried and true tactic of running in a straight line at Angela, letting loose a single normal punch at the girl. Angela planned to take the punch and immediately counter with several direct stabs, but the moment the punch connects, she was not able to. The sheer force from the punch blew her to the wall of the small arena.

“Ah, so you’re like that.”

Angela took a deep breath, and activated her Invisible Air. The gust of wind covered her, distorting light so that her position couldn’t be seen properly. Xia would be left guessing on where Angela was at the moment as she prepared for her next strike.

With a joyous expression on her face after her attack landed, the dragon girl looked over to her friend. As she got up, Xia squinted her eyes, wondering why Angela was suddenly so hard to see. Especially when nothing else in the room was. All the same, Xia had struck true once, so she went to repeat the exact same maneuver, just punching without an certainty as to Angela’s real position.

At the moment Xia launched her punch, Angela reappeared on her side, her spear in hand. One thrust right towards Xia’s heart, then Angela pushed herself backwards again using a blast of wind. Fighting fully using invisibility was too cowardly and unfun for Angela, but at the same time even if this was just a virtual battlefield, the force from Xia’s punches were unreal. She could feel as if the air was being ruptured by each of the other girl’s attack.

While the spear managed to find purchase in the girl’s chest, and she was indeed blasted by the air, there was no real hint of pain or frustration in Xia’s face. Instead, looking incredibly excited she said, “whoa, Angela, that was so cool! How did you do that?”

“Well, magic I guess?”

The girl cocked her head to the side, a bit confused. “Magic huh, man I wish magic I could do was as cool as that! All I can do is this.” The dragon girl held her arm up, a raw arcane force beginning to gather across it.

“Whoa whoa whoa,” Angela was surprised. For someone that claimed to not be able to do cool things with magic, the sheer force Xia emanated was absurd. “Can you tell me more about yourself?” A normal human couldn’t carry this much latent magic.

“More about me?” The girl scratched her head in confusion with one hand, the other still charging with magical energy. “Hm well,” the girl’s expression then brightened up as she thought of something, saying, “I used to live in the sea! It was kind of fun and I got to meet lots of fishes.” Pointing at the girl, cheerily, she said, “now it’s your turn!”

“I’m…” Angela paused, moments before she went into a tirade on how much of a mess she was. It’s the truth, but she wouldn’t want to spoil Xia’s mood. “I’m a mage and an aspiring adventurer. My life sounds more boring than yours, to tell the truth.

Oh yeah, I’m also what would people call as a human.”

“Huuuh? But adventuring sounds super fun and cool. Besides, the sea can get boring after uh…” the girl scratched her head, unsure of what measure of time to actually use. Her thoughts were brought back as Angela mentioned she was a human, prompting the girl to smile and say, “oh, oh, I’m also a human!” Then putting her free hand to chest, she proudly said, “and what some people call a dragon!” As she declared this, her other hand had finished charging itself, being a mixture of some kind of aqueous flow that covered her arm along a blue fire.

“Wait what?” That explained everything. Her strength and the amount of magic she could let out. A half human, and a half water dragon. Ah, if only her magic was more like Kin’s. If this wasn’t a simulation, there would no hope for her to even harm Xia. The energy buildup had seemingly finished now, and Angela was scrambling to figure out how to deal with so much raw power.

“Mhm!” The girl cheerily nodded, not thinking there was a need for any further explanation. Looking at the girl, she said, “man, that was fun! I feel like I learned a lot about you Angela! So, want to get back to fighting now?”

“S-sure, I guess.” Angela prepared herself for whatever was coming. Thankfully she wasn’t here to win, otherwise she would have cracked harder. Wind started to surround her again as she started the setup for her to dodge or go invisible depending on the form of the attack.

“Let’s go then.”

“Yay!” The girl pumped her arms into the air ecstatic. “Then here I go!” Instead of charging at the girl, Xia merely wound back her fist charged with magical energy. Punching forward, the girl let loose a blast of water and arcane energy from her fist, hurtling towards Angela like a cannonball, and exploding once it made contact with either her or the wall behind her.

The energy blast was easy to dodge for Angela who followed Xia’s hand movement, but the explosion that happened after it hit the wall was something that she didn’t expect and she ended up getting caught by the blast. It wasn’t a direct hit at least, and Angela used her ability so the the blast didn’t stagger her for now, and used the moment to fire up her own attack.

“Barbed Spear, fire!”

Her spear glowed scarlet as it marked its target, and with incredible speed Angela rocketed towards Xia with the spear that would always aim at the heart. Unless Xia made it impossible for the spear to hit the heart, it was a sure hit.

As the dragon girl was happy with how her attack went, she was then surprised by Angela’s next attack. As the blue haired girl with the spear charged at her, Xia held up her guard to defend against the attack. However, despite even seeing the attack as it happened, Xia couldn’t actually make sense of what happened, as the spear managed to snake its way through her arms that she was holding up, piercing her in the chest. Wincing, feeling some pain from the attack, Xia’s smile remained as she said, “see, you got a lot of super cool magic things you can do!” After saying that, the girl then went for an uppercut against Angela now that she was in optimal punching range.

Using her ability again, the punch went through Angela as if she wasn’t there, and Angela used that moment to summon three phantom spears and rain them down on Xia again before she blasted herself away using another wind shot. Only then would she feel the effect of Xia’s uppercut, gritting her teeth at the force that suddenly happened.

“You’re really strong, Xia.”

As Angela launched herself away, Xia held up her arms, bracing herself and guarding against the sudden flurry of wind spears. As they ended, the girl lowered her arms saying, “aww thanks! You must be really strong too Angela. I’ve never seen someone not react to one of my punches before.”

“It’s just…” Angela was visibly sweating from the shock of receiving so much force directly out of nowhere. “Your punches are amazing.”

“Really? Thanks! People back home used to tell me I had a, um, ‘hell of an arm,’ I think? But thanks Angela.” Looking proud of herself she then said, “oh, oh, your spear is also really awesome. I thought I blocked but it still stabbed me!”

“Yeah, it’s pretty hard to block. Kind of a waste for someone like me though.” Just as Angela answered Xia, the room they were in shook really hard. Something was happening outside it seemed, but it wasn’t clear what. It was as if an earthquake happened, but the answer didn’t appear until the ceiling was pierced by a lighting bolt that almost managed to hit Angela. A large beast had apparently assaulted the platform they were in and were now trying to get in.

That was quite worrying.

“What was that?” It’s not like she’d be able to die here, but the beast still alerted Angela. She turned at Xia, her expression asking her on what she should do.

“I don’t know?” The girl shrugged, equally clueless. Walking over to one of the openings in the box they were in, the girl looked outside of it, only now realizing the box was moving, and in the air. An awestruck expression crossed her face as she tried to move out of the box, only for an invisbile wall to stop her way. Trying to push against it, the girl then saw a familiar looking beast fly near the door, looking straight at Xia.

As the girl stared back it, she was suddenly struck by a bolt of plasma into the girl, knocking her away from the door and damaging her. All the same, the girl’s expression looked more happy than before as she said, “it’s a dragon!”

“Seriously?” Now that’s actually worrying. Although, it should simply be a stage hazard rather than something she had to defeat and the real deal like Xia herself, but even then it seemed that the situation became more unfavorable for her.

“So uh, we should still continue our fight, right?”

“Oh yeah!” The girl nodded. “When this stuff happens, I’m pretty sure we’re still supposed to fight in spite of it. So, here I come.”

Crouching down, the girl winded back her fist, before moving towards Angela. Only this wasn’t a running charge. Xia sprung off her legs, essentially leaping at Angela, punching when she got into range.

“Well then, let’s do this!” Angela managed to narrowly dodge the punch by ducking and rolling forward, feeling a bit of the ripple from the sheer power of the punch. Another lightning bolt struck down at the time, almost hitting Angela directly. At this point, Angela brought up her Heaven Holes and pulled out several arms from them to lock Xia in place for a second or two, before attempting to fire a volley of phantom spears towards her.

Xia was incredibly confused as arms reached out towards her, which allowed them to grapple onto her in that moment. While the girl didn’t seem all that bothered by it, outside of the raw oddity of it, she then noticed that Angela was beginning to summon a large quantity of spears to hit her. Not wanting to be speared, the dragon girl flexed her arms, breaking free of the strange grasp, bringing up her arms in a defensive posture to defend against the attack.

Xia’s block managed to stop her from taking the brunt of the spears, but Angela used the moment to start charging thrusts for the preparation of her next finisher. In the meantime, three pairs of arms manifested from the holes behind her, and fired a series of projected spears towards Xia all while Angela tries to find a hole or provoke Xia to attack her again.

Standing her ground against the attack, Xia looked behind her to see another set of spears flying towards her. While she couldn’t turn to block the attack, she raised her tail up, lashing it out against spears, attempting to stop them with raw force. Looking to Angela, seeing her charge something up, the dragon girl started to match her in kind, charging a familiar magical force across her arm.

“Another one…”

Angela could feel just how destructive the attack was, but at the same time, it was the prime opportunity for her to actually launch an attack and hit her squarely. Ideally though, she would need to not be hit by the attack.

“Alright!” She fired another volley as she attempted to go around Xia, trying to find a potential hole in her guard. The charging for her Shooting Hundred Head continued. Xia’s tail was a big issue, but there should be a blind spot somewhere. In the end, she ended up striking forward from Xia’s left side, using a large burst of wind to hit forward, and launch a direct hit of her attack.

“Shooting Hundred Heads!”

While Xia kept her charge going, Angela had continued to move on the run, firing more spears at her. Not stopping, but not using her hands to block it, Xia merely pivoted on her side, using her tail to sweep the spears out of the air before they could hit her. As Angela finished, she charged at the dragon girl declaring her super move. Her face lighting up in both surprise, wonder and thrill, Xia responded in kind. “Uh, Super Magic Punch!” Calling the name of her own move, Xia went to intercept Angela’s attack with her own, punching right at the girl.

Right. This had happened before. Just like against Elijah. And now there really was only one way for her to continue. Angela sighed. She really was bad at learning from her mistakes. As the full brunt of Xia’s attack hit her, Angela uttered a few words, and the attack somehow phase through her. Unfazed by Xia’s attempt of blocking her, Angela thus was able to land her attack perfectly. It was a hundred spear thrusts done in the span of one, an intense drilling maneuver that could even pierce bedrock without much effort. Before long, Angela pushed herself away from Xia, somehow not seemingly damaged by Xia’s full-force attack.

Five minutes left.

Xia vs Angela - Finale:

After the clash of attacks had finished and there was now distance between the two, Xia looked in awe towards Angela. “Whoooooooooa, that was so cool! And like, you didn’t even flinch from taking that punch. Man you must be like super strong or something.”

“I wish…” Angela sighed when she heard Xia complimented her. This sure felt like cheating, but it’s not like she was going to win this. She took too many direct hits before. In the end, Angela decided that the best course of action was simply to see how much damage she could inflict before she drop.

“We don’t have much time left. Let’s not waste any more time, Xia! Barbed Spear that Pieces with Death!”

Like a speeding bullet after her declaration, Angela rushed forward with her spear. Should Xia not see something wrong with Angela’s form right now, the attack might become completely unblockable. At least, that was what Angela believed.

As Xia heard that Angela declared her attack towards her, the dragon girl’s eyes widened as she recognized the name of the attack she was using. Well, it was similar at least. And the last time Xia tried to block the attack, it seemed to get through her guard regardless. So, if she couldn’t block the spear, she figured she’d try to stop the spear in a different manner. Reaching out her hand, as the spear came near her, Xia merely grabbed at the spear before it ran through her.

“Wha-” This maneuver caught Angela off guard as Xia’s strong grip stopped her charge right on its track. This did lock her to be in proximity of Angela however, and so Angela fired off another volley of phantom spears at Xia from point-blank range, before letting go of her spear and propel herself upwards. A lightning bolt struck her as she hit the ceiling, but it seemed to phase through her for some reasons. Angela prepared her sword while the spear was still in Xia’s hold.

Three minutes.

As the volley of spears was tossed towards her, Xia raised up her free arm, sweeping at the spears coming her way. Breaking most of them, the girl was still struck by a few, and it was clear that her own HP was starting to run low as well. As Angela backed away, Xia looked at the spear in her hands, seeing Angela now draw her sword out. Spinning the lance in her hand, the girl held the spear in her hand, before looking at Angela saying, “so like, how do you use this thing?”

“You first need to find an opening, then thrust it really deep. It’s simple.”

Using a wind burst to push herself down, Angela once again rushed towards Xia with her sword. She hasn’t charged for swallow cut yet, so Angela had to settle for normal slashes by the time she closed the range between her and Xia. Using her wind magic and solidifying them around the blade, Angela used it to increase her reach and the potency of her attacks, even if her swings seemed to be haphazard.

Looking at the spear, Xia was trying to figure out how to use it and wasn’t quite dextrous enough to stab with the weapon. So, holding it in one hand, rather than a straight stab towards Angela, the girl more let out a lopsided swing at her opponent’s sword and body.

Once again Angela was caught off-guard, but she ended up ducking to dodge the swing, at the expense of her attack’s momentum. Not willing to be defeated yet though, she summoned as many arms as she could from her Heaven Holes to hold Xia. A phantom spear manifested on her hand. This should be the last minute, so if she could prevent Xia for blocking her attacks, she might actually be able to win before the backlash from her ability kicks in.

As the arms reached out towards the dragon girl, Xia pulled back against them, ripping her arms from their grips. Gripping her new found weapon with both of her hands, she attempted to stop Angela’s last attack by swinging the spear at Angela.

Angela continued to thrust at Xia even as her target got herself freed from the bindings, but Xia’s sudden maneuver to lunge at her too ended up making her narrowly miss Xia’s vital. The phantom spear ended up piercing through Xia’s arm while Gungnir landed a fatal hit on her as it dispelled the delay magic on-contact.

“I guess this is the end then.”

Day 3, 1:00, Virtual Battlefield Room - Demon's Stomach

Points: 122

W/L Record: 1/1

Now that she was up close, this fight was going much better. The attack she'd swung seemed to hit some sort of shield, but from what she could pick up from Gavin's little watch thing or whatever it was, something was up with his shield, probably because of the attack. Well, if just swinging at it had that much effect now...

Before Aurora could launch her next attack though, Gavin struck at the block of ice over her arm with his boomerang. It definitely did some damage to the ice, but it would take more than that to destroy the makeshift weapon entirely. Not that she needed it anymore. That distinct numb feeling over her other arm, as if someone had very carefully done some acupuncture work with needles across the entire arm, told Aurora everything she needed to know.

Her finishing move was ready.

"Bet you can't dodge from this close," Aurora confidently said. Then, without warning or hesitation, the arm she'd been keeping behind her back until now swung around, pointing directly at the nearby Gavin, before unleashing a grand beam of raw frigid power. "With one hand, just like I promised!"

Of course, on the off-chance that Gavin did manage to avoid such a large-scale attack at point-blank range, he'd be lucky to find that Aurora's beam attack had blown a considerable hole in the dome behind him, as well as a massive patch of ice on the arena wall, with no less than a dozen small spikes protruding from it.

"Bet you can't dodge from this close. With one hand, just like I promised!"

Gavin looked at Aurora and the hand she swung out. His MOVA couldn't produce the shield he needed right now and he was way too close. His grip tightened on his boomerang and he swiftly brought his arms in front of him for a short moment. "VEX...you better go into safe mode...now!!" he said, gritting his teeth.

"Entendido Gavin ... no mueras en mí." VEX said simply, before going into a safe mode. They both knew what was going to happen...it was better to prepare either way.

With a quick closing of his eyes, Gavin heard and felt the blast hitting him as he immediately was slammed in the back by the ice dome's wall. It was extremely cold, he figured that much...but this was just a sheer raw power that he felt. This wasn't something he was expecting at all. After a bit, the dome's wall broke and Gavin was launched out and his back hit the fleshy ground of the arena.

S-sheet... Gavin thought, trying his best to get up, but was having quite the bit of frost on him that hindered his movement. J-Jeez...beaten by a girl...s-still...least this time...there's a reason for my loss. Not all the girls I know have powers like this...lucky...me...

Before long, he passed out where he landed.

As she had appeared back in the arena room, Xia had a bit of a curious expression on her face as she looked at her now empty hand. This was soon replaced by one of glee as she looked back up, jumping in joy saying, "woooo, I won! I won!" Looking towards Angela, the dragon girl made her way over to her friend saying, "that was super fun Angela. I've never seen stuff like what you did before. It was like super cool, all the cool spear things you did and you didn't even flinch most of the time I punched you." Stopping her thoughts, and then seeming to be more pensive the girl then said, "maybe I should use a spear too. I've never used one before but it seems like super fun to use and you made it look super cool! But fun match Angela!" The girl extended out her hand to give Angela a handshake, an unfortunately powerful one. "So are you doing anything after this? I gotta go pick up Snowball real quick and then we're going to do more exploring."

Folding in her wings against her back, she peeked against the screen to see the floppy-earred program hopping to and fro with decent speed. Accounting for scaling, it looked like one of those things could match the size of a chicken...though, now that she thought of it, she had not tried consuming data since being able to manifest like this.

And she already ate something that day anyway.

"...Ai mae hash tu go fow eet tummowwoesh," Tesability remarked, her speech being clarified for Eric through the watch on her paw. "Ai no dinks Ai hash wum fow mow." At this point, Tesability pointed up her snout towards Eric. "Dosh eet du eneedin' badsh ow ish eet jusht fastshs?"

Tesability vs Cyanthrax

"Yo this dude's a real..HOT HEAD"

"Doesn't that dragon's flying seem...unfair to anyone else?"

"Yeah how does something like that beat Mr Badass himself? I call hax"

"Why does everyone care that Cyanthrax lost? He's a dick."
"Down with Cyan, up with Tes!"

"Is no one ever going to use the forest to their advantage? Amateurs."

Aurora vs Gavin

"Wait who's this new guy where did the doggy go?"

"He kind of seems crazy doesn't he? Talking to himself and all that."

"No wonder he lost, kept helping his opponent and telling her the strategies! What does he think this is an anime?"

"Ha, Aurora schooled him, totally ICED that loser."

"Everyone's so down on Gavin but damn he's a hunk."

"Why does it feel the dog was better at this than this guy?"

"I like this guy, he's got some cool gadgets. Magic is overrated."

Tesability

Eric nodded slowly as Tesability spoke. It seemed he was starting to understand her...unusual speech patterns even without the translations. "Sorry bout that didn't think about if you ate already...So you have a limited amount you can consume? Even though you're...whatever you are?" He nodded to himself before continuing. "And nah they aren't dangerous for the most part. Though they can cause some uh...unusual things. Makes programs stop running for short periods. Usually not too bad but sometimes...well, lets just say you don't want the mental uplinks in the Arena to go on the fritz while you're getting hit by a fireball." He smiled at her. "But if you can't I'll figure something out for a temporary fix. Glad I got to meet you, and if you ever want some upgrades." His smile turned almost manic. "Hit me up."

Cyanthrax

The demon's roaming would eventually bring him to a huge building. It proclaimed itself to be a sports stadium and, if Cyan were to go inside, he'd see a large room with half a dozen desks along one wall. The women behind the desks were selling tickets for various different sports. Which sports these were were displayed on a screen behind them. Including several highlights from the previous match.

Along a different wall was what seemed to be food vendors. Selling popcorn, corn dogs, and other such things at overly high price. And on the opposite side were bathrooms with lines even longer than either of the other two areas of the stadium.

As Cyanthrax stood there a man in a pinstriped, blue and yellow, suit came up to him. He gave Cyan a wide grin. "Ah, you're from the Arena aren't you? You're here for the promotional campaign, right?"

"Breaking News! Android Policewoman Found Brutalized In The Hospital."

"Hospital staff were shocked to discover the body of Officer Kate, part of the 'Android Job Transfer Program', in the basement of the hospital seemingly torn into several pieces by an unknown assailant. Officer Kate, being one of the few Androids given a job usually reserved for organics, is currently being kept under constant surveillance as doctors and technicians alike try to piece her together and keep her body alive. We are live with one of the staff members who found her body."

"It's crazy right? She was totally demolished. And the weirdest thing is someone had been asking about the basement the other day. I think she was from the Aren-" The feed was suddenly cut off as it went back to the newscaster.

"In any case no one seems to know how this happened. But it could be disastrous for the already shaky "Android Job Transfer Program". Which, as you all know, was meant to prove that Androids could function in a similar manner to organics."

The story continued on, seemingly more focused on Androids and their place in the workforce than Officer Kate specifically, before switching to a story about a Shivan who "Found the most unusual use for their kitchen sink".

Day 3, 2:00, Virtual Battlefield Room

Points: 182

W/L Record: 2/1

Winner: Aurora by Knockout

Got him! Aurora had to admit, she wasn't entirely certain her charged attack would actually work. She definitely believed it would hit Gavin and do a number on him, but some small part of her imagined he'd get back up from the attack, albeit on his last leg and in a position from which a comeback victory would be highly unlikely. As the virtual battlefield around them faded, Aurora briskly headed over to Gavin's location, holding a hand out toward him.

"That was a good fight," she smiled, removing the various pieces of equipment from her head and face. She wasn't overly fond of how heavy the Arctica costume was, but it especially bothered her when it came to anything above the shoulders. Once everything was removed, putting her face in clear view of Gavin once again, she continued "And you'll get points even if you lose. Don't worry; I lost my first fight too. But it's fun, right?"

She'd have to check out the fight comments later. Before she had the chance to bring the conversation much further though, her watch beeped.

"Breaking News! Android Policewoman Found Brutalized In The Hospital."

Android? Oh no. Aurora looked over the video, her expression developing into an odd mixture of shock and anger. When she finished watching, she closed the news, and turned to leave.

"Sorry, but I've gotta be somewhere. Like, now." With that, leaving no real room for a response, Aurora started toward the door and beyond, with a more urgent pace than before. The fight was enjoyable, but that had to be put aside for now. Suddenly, her aspiration to sell ice sculptures didn't matter either. Even changing out of the Arctica costume had to suddenly be put on hold. She had been with Officer Kate just yesterday, and android or not, a murder was a murder. Aurora had always dreaded the day she'd have to deal with actual killers - the worst she'd ever met so far were just kidnappers who had managed to invade a school for superheroes - but this wasn't something she could just throw aside and say "it's not my problem" to. If anything, it was her problem now more than ever.

I have no idea how to do this. Am I supposed to care about my image? Is that something heroes even care about? What about when I find the bad guy? What would my teachers do? Um...

Gavin groaned a bit as he came to, seeing the arena prior to the fleshy insides that was the battlefield. He slowly sat up and held his head, gently shaking it some. He glanced and saw that there were holographic victory banners around the arena showing the results: Winner - Aurora by a Knockout. Letting out a sigh, he shrugged. He couldn't help that she was on a somewhat different level than he was...

Cryomantic powers...if the others can do anything similar or have powers just as strong... he thought, before finally getting up, dusting himself off. Then I might just be in over my head now.

"That was a good fight. And you'll get points even if you lose. Don't worry; I lost my first fight too. But it's fun, right?"

"Quite humble in victory, I see." Gavin said with a small smile. "But it was obvious that favor was on your side on this fight." A small sigh escaped his lips as he looked at his MOVA. "Part of that being due to the fact that I couldn't consult VEX much due to his sudden language barrier that he's obtained. Plus my dark energy levels were depleting throughout that. I suppose this means I'll have to try and work with fixing that."

"Sorry, but I've gotta be somewhere. Like, now."

He stood there and watched Aurora run off, waving a bit. It was obvious whatever that video was, it was something that really distraught her. He'd have to make a note to watch it later, but right now, he noticed on his watch that there was something called Battle Comments. Oh this oughta be good... he thought, before begrudgingly accessing the comments.

"Wait who's this new guy where did the doggy go?"

"Why does it feel the dog was better at this than this guy?"

Wait...there was a dog? Gavin was surprised this was even a thing, but then again, there was a living creature made of 1s and 0s...so not TOO farfetched.

"He kind of seems crazy doesn't he? Talking to himself and all that."

Must've been referring to when I was talking to VEX. he thought, shaking his head. I gotta figure out a way to show him off to have it avoid confusion.

"No wonder he lost, kept helping his opponent and telling her the strategies! What does he think this is an anime?"

...Gavin immediately ignored this comment and scrolled to the next ones.

"Everyone's so down on Gavin but damn he's a hunk."

"I like this guy, he's got some cool gadgets. Magic is overrated."

The last ones were at least positive for him. Though he did have to make a mental note to figure out who called him a "hunk", but then again, he'd also have to make a note to find a way to show off the gadgets more.

With the comments done, Gavin was already heading out of the arena door when he saw a pair of individuals coming at him like bats out of hell. Though he noticed something immediately: a camera. Which meant, a broadcast. Hmm...maybe it's the perfect opportunity to show off VEX. he thought, lifting his MOVA to tap a few buttons, getting VEX out of Safe Mode.

"maybe I should use a spear too. I've never used one before but it seems like super fun to use and you made it look super cool! But fun match Angela!"

"Oh, in that case maybe I should teach you some tricks! I'm not the best teacher, but I'll be able to show you the basics if you want to."

After the loss Angela was in an unusually cheery mood for once. She was so close on succeeding this time, and it really was all due to her own effort, which could also be used as what to blame for the loss itself rather than Mauvache's machinations. And well, losing to Xia was not something she had any issues with in the first place - being able to go so close was an achievement in itself for Angela.

"So are you doing anything after this? I gotta go pick up Snowball real quick and then we're going to do more exploring."

"Ah, sorry. I'm occupied for today, and tonight I have a date with Elijah. If you want to, we can stay together in my room for the night? I know a lot of fun things we can try out. Girls' hang out, it's going to be great!"

Angela spent a bit more time with Xia before bowing away and leaving for her destination. That man yesterday said about the position of the mines. It was unclear but she had a rough idea on where it was. She double checked on the maps first, before rushing forward.

It was not really something that would do her any good, but just to fulfill her curiosity, just to rebel a little bit against the unbeatable force that was Mauvache, all that Angela wished for now was to see what actually was inside of the mines.

Surviving whatever inside shouldn't be that much of an issue, hopefully.

Xia's eyes lit up with joy as Angela said she was going to be able to teach her the basics, thinking it would be super cool to use something like that. Her mood deflated, however, when Angela said she had already made plans for today. The down trodden expression didn't last very long, though, as the girl mentioned something about hanging out later tonight to which Xia said, "oh oh! If we do that, then we should also invite Aria and Aurora...and Tes...I think?" Xia wasn't entirely sure if the other dragon was female or not, but then said, "but yeah, we could have a super girls hang out then! Anyway, I gotta go get Snowball, so, have fun!"

With a wave, the girl made her way back to Gnash's office picking up Snowball, and thanking him for keeping watch over the furry creature as she went for her fight. It was then that the girl's attention was taken up by a sudden emergency news broadcast. As she listened a look of sadness crossed her face as she said, "awww, that sounds really bad." It was then that her sadness gave way to confusion, as she didn't actually know what some of the terms being used were. Looking over to Gnash, she asked, "hey Gnash. What's an 'Android'?"

"It's...they're people who are machines. Made by someone to be like organic people."

"Ooooh. That sounds pretty cool. So what's the uh, 'Android Transfer Program,' then?"

"I don't know much about it myself...but...in the past Androids were going to be scrapped. They were thought to be...dangerous. But activists got together and convinced the leaders of the planet to give them a chance to work in regular jobs and join society."

Xia furrowed her brow at this, going through a mix of both happiness and sadness, before saying, "oh, well good for them then! Well, I guess not with this but hmmm..." The girl tapped her foot against the ground as she thought more about it before asking, "but why would anyone want to hurt them? I mean, if they're supposed to be regular people, then doing something like that is just mean. Right Snowball?"

"A lot of people don't see it like that..." Gnash seemed to have a saddened as he responded.

Xia too was saddened. Trying to sort through it, and the general confusion she had on the whole situation, the metaphorical gears in her head continued to turn only to come up with a blank answer. However, as she looked backed up to the saddened face of Gnash, her thoughts immediately shifted gears. "Oh, sorry for making you sad too Gnash. Um, uh - oh I know. Thanks for looking after Snowball for me while I was busy! It means a lot! Here," she held Snowball out in front of her as she said, "go on Snowball, say thanks too!" Snowball meowed. After that she said, "and I know what else! If you ever want to hang out just be sure to tell me! I'm sure that'll make you less sad too! Well, hopefully."

While Gnash seemed to smile at this, he turned away from the girl as he thanked her. With the conversation now coming to a halt, Xia looked over to her companion before saying, "alright Snowball. Let's go off to do more wandering!" With that, the girl and her trusty companion walked out of the apartment, to begin explore the city once again. While the girl didn't have much of a goal in mind, she instead meandered about, aimlessly moving about the city. It wasn't until her eyes laid upon a large building, that she was confident about where she wanted to explore. The building before her reminded her of the place she had met Val the day before, and since that place was super fun, she figured this place was even more so. "Come on Snowball, let's go check it out!" With a meow of confirmation, the girl walked over to the stadium.

As she had made her way over there, she eventually saw a familiar face. Well, sort of. She had actually rarely seen that face over these past few days, but it was still fresh enough for her to recognize it. "Heeeeyyyyyyy!" The girl called out to the boy who she remembered had something to do with being a lion and a demon, whatever those were, saying, "hi there C-Cya-Ceya-Cnah-C-" As the girl stammered, trying to remember just what his name was, she eventually stopped on, "Cena! So, Cena, are you here to have some super fun times too!" Looking at the man in the suit who she just realized was talking to Cena, she also waved to him saying, "hey there person."

After wandering for a bit, Cyanthrax's eyes caught a rather large building. He wasn't quite sure if it was the thing he was looking for, but he had been wandering for what felt a while now. His watch told him that the building was a stadium where they played sports. He grinned wildly as he read that - he wasn't quite sure what they meant exactly, but if the sports here were like the blood sports they had back home... "Let's do this shit!" He shouted, marching towards the stadium.

Inside was not exactly what he was expecting, although it wasn't quite as surprising. There were a lot of food options around him, and the other side a line that lead into the bathrooms. As Cyanthrax tried to figure out what the fuck was happening, a man in a pinstriped, blue and yellow, suit came up to him. He gave Cyan a wide grin. "Ah, you're from the Arena aren't you? You're here for the promotional campaign, right?" Before he could remark, someone else had come up to him.

"Heeeeyyyyyyy!" Cyan turned to see who else was there. He recognized the strange girl - she was one of the other fighters. "hi there C-Cya-Ceya-Cnah-C-" Cyan simple shook his head as the girl tried and failed to say his name. He almost snapped at her, but she eventually settled on... Cena. Cyan glared at the girl as she greeted the striped man.

"Listen here, bitch." Cyanthrax started, turning to the girl. "The name's Cyanthrax. Try and remember it this time!" He barked, before shaking his head. "Or at least call me Cyan... that's what all these other jackasses want to call me... for whatever reason... anyways, as for 'super fun times'" He said, using air quotes, before turning to the man in the striped shirt. He was wondering what the guy was talking about, when he remembered a certain event on the list.

"Ah, you must be talking about the event!" He said, turning between the girl and the striped man. "I'll be honest, I have no idea what it is. But I'm pretty sure blood sports are involved and I'm all for blood sports, so sign me the fuck up!"

Gavin

"Look, look, he's coming out right now...hurry up Ty we're gonna lose him!" Gabby practically ran into Gavin, holding her microphone up towards his face and breathing heavily. "H..e...llo." She breathed out. As Ty caught up to them she caught her breath and, the moment Ty was behind her, she sprung up. Her face red from running and her eyes filled with excitement. "Hello, my name is Gabby, and I would like to be the first to interview the newest Fighter. First, why don't you introduce yourself, and what do you think of your time here so far?"

Angela

The priest had given Angela a surprised look when she mentioned her destination. However they didn't stop her and went through with the teleportation without causing any hassle.

When she emerged she would find herself in a small building similar to the shrine she just left but in much worse state of disrepair. A single priest was down there and he would, after a bit of surprise, direct her to the mines.

It wasn't a difficult task.

The mines took up the majority of space on the lower levels. The rest of the area had tightly packed and bad condition housing scattered over what ground remained.

And it was ground. Unlike the more artificial stuff the upper levels floors are made of this was truly dirt and grass. Though it seemed to be scorched and dug up in many places.

The mines itself was surrounded by a barrier, which looked much more expensive than anything else down here combined, and a gleaming steel wall behind that.

There was a single massive gate that allowed one to pass through the barrier but it was closed tight with a trio of guards, complete with sleek and shimmery armor and hefting machine guns, stood in front of it. Behind them, on the wall, more guards patrolled the area.

As Angela approached the gate opened up and let a gaggle of people, with dirty clothing, helmets, and lugging tools, out before shutting as the last left the area.

Xia and Cyanthrax

The man in the pinstripe suit turned to glare at the girl who had interrupted them. He was prepared to tell her to take her business elsewhere when he recognized the girl and gave him a short bow of greeting.

Cyan's response was much less respectful. And not two minutes after he said such things to Xia that the forums blew up with posts bashing the demon.

"How dare he HOW DARE HE"

"He's the jabroni!"
"It's a good thing I'm not there. And he's a thousand times stronger than me. And I'm crippled. Otherwise I'd kick his ass!"

But at that very moment the man simply smiled at the demon. "Now now, why don't we discuss business instead?" He listened to Cyan's words about the event and his smile faltered slightly. "Sorry, there may have been a...misunderstanding. Sports, yes, blood, hopefully not." He gestured at the screens. "The Arena isn't the only sport people here enjoy. We've got sports from all kinds of worlds and that is what you'll be partaking in. I can send you some information on the sports to look over..." He looked at Xia. "And you as well, you lovely girl you, I'm sure we could work things out so both of you can participate. When you've decided which you want to join in on just go to the desk and tell them to call Mr. Salah and I'll take it from there."

Xia cocked her head a bit confused at the name Cyan, as he went by, called her though seemed to just go back into her usual joyous expression as she said, "oooh, sorry sorry. Cyan. Cyan. Cyan! Got it!" After nodding to herself, sure she had the name down, she then said, "oh and my name isn't Bi-" before she could finish the word, the tail belonging to her furred traveling companion shot up, covering the girl's mouth. Recoiling a bit from it, the girl said, "ack- Snowball, what was that?" She looked at the creature, who just meowed. Shaking her head she then looked back to Cyan saying, "anyway, my name is Xia! If you could remember it too that would be super cool!" Despite the words used, her voice and expression seemed as genuine as always.

After that, the man in the suit explained to them about the sporting event going on here, the girl's face lit up as she thought about all the different kinds of games there were to play. She knew nothing about almost any of them, but they were bound to be fun if people enjoyed watching them. Looking over to Cyan she said, "oh, oh, oh! Playing together sounds way more fun! So let's do that!" Looking at the list of sports they had, the girl didn't seem to read much any of the words there, before saying to her Arena buddy, "I don't really know what any of these sport things are, other than Tennis - which is also super fun - but if you want to do something different that's totally cool too!" She looked at the demon expectantly, awaiting his choice on the matter.

"H..e...llo. Hello, my name is Gabby, and I would like to be the first to interview the newest Fighter. First, why don't you introduce yourself, and what do you think of your time here so far?"

Gavin cleared his throat and nodded. "I'm Gavin Shepard. And well, given how I was wishing to leave the rock I called my home for an adventure among the stars...I suppose right now, my time here so far has been interesting."

"So I suppose that means you're not too attached to..wherever it is you're from?"

"Well...no offense to my own Earth, but it was a bit stagnant on action." Gavin explained. "Not only that, it was my one chance to be able to pilot one of the best starship class vessels out there...just to get out of the Milky Way galaxy."

"So you're a pilot? Do you think that helps with all of this?"

"Yes ma'am I'm a pilot. Quite a good one, as a matter of fact." Gavin smirked, rubbing one thumb across his nose. "But I think it does help with the situation like in there. You see, as a pilot, you have to constantly be on your toes and be able to adapt, least in my mind anyway."

"How do you think you're doing, adapting so far?"

Gavin rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled nervously. "To be frank, I THINK I'm adapting good for the moment. Though I'm afraid something is wrong with my AI, VEX."

At this moment, VEX appeared from the MOVA. "Buenas tardes."

"Yeah...apparently he's all of a sudden started speaking Spanish."

"...Sorry but, Spanish?"

"Sí. Al parecer, mi circuito se cruzó de alguna manera, por lo tanto, me obligó a hablar español." VEX did his best to explain, while Gavin only sighed.

"Still can't understand you, VEX buddy." Gavin shook his head. "In any case, I'll have to do quite the bit of tinkering with him to see if I can somehow fix it."

"I can see that...uh, well in any case let's get back on track shall we! Do you have any goals? Anything you want to do while here?"

"Well that's the thing..." Gavin started, putting both his hands behind his head, as VEX returned back into the MOVA. "I've only scratched the surface around here. I haven't even seen everything this little world has to offer. Plus, according to the comments from the battle, I need to try extra hard to show everyone what I can do. After all, I apparently replaced some sort of dog, and from the way the comments were...the dog was better than I was."

"Oh, yes, Caleb was quite the good boy...well, one more thing I want to ask and we'll be on our way. What do you think of the Arena, and Mauvache?"

"The arena, it's technology is on an entirely different level than what I was used to on my Earth." Gavin said with a nod. "So I'm quite impressed with that...as for Mauvache. ...I'll reserve judgment on that question for the moment."

"Well that's just fine, I'm sure you'll love her as everyone else does in time." Gabby nodded to herself. "I think for now that'll be enough. I'm sure we'll be talking again once you've settled into things here."

"Alright. VEX and I would be happy to talk again whenever you need us to."

Gabby turned to Ty and gave him a thumbs up. The cameraman lowered his camera and Gabby looked back at Gavin. "It was nice meeting you. Now we've got other places to be." She hesitates. "You wouldn't happen to know where your opponent went, do you? Aurora?"

"I...actually don't know, ma'am." Gavin said, shaking his head. "All I know is she saw some video and headed off in quite the hurry."

"Thanks, that's all then. Come on Ty we should...get going, too."

Well they seem like nice people... Gavin thought, before glancing down at his watch. He did want to see what that was about, the video at least. So what made her so upset?

He quickly accessed the video and his eyes were now glued to it. "Breaking News! Android Policewoman Found Brutalized In The Hospital." was what the headline said. Gavin was immediately invested in this now...he wasn't expecting there to be androids around in this world, but then again, he figured was only a matter of time.

"Snow Angel must've had some sort of connection with the android in question." he muttered, rubbing his chin some. He glanced over and saw VEX emerging from the MOVA again. "Reckon we should check this out, VEX?"

"Sí..." VEX simply said, uttering one word that Gavin could easily understand.

"All I needed to hear..." Gavin said, finally moving to try and make his way to where the android was. After all, while it was an android, perhaps his knowledge and skills might be of use for them.

"oooh, sorry sorry. Cyan. Cyan. Cyan! Got it!" Cyanthrax nodded as she spoke, although he was caught off guard by what she said next. "oh and my name isn't Bi-" She was interrupted by the cat in her arms, before continuing. "anyway, my name is Xia! If you could remember it too that would be super cool!" The demon almost burst into laughter right at the spot, smirking at what Bit- er, Xia said. What she said almost sounded like sarcasm, although her tone betrayed any notion of sarcasm.

"Not too bright there, eh Xia?" He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Fair enough, I'll try and not forget ya."

He turned his attention back to the striped shirt man. "Sorry, there may have been a...misunderstanding. Sports, yes, blood, hopefully not." Cyan frowned. What was the point of a sport if it wasn't a blood sport? He was having second thoughts about all this. "The Arena isn't the only sport people here enjoy. We've got sports from all kinds of worlds and that is what you'll be partaking in. I can send you some information on the sports to look over..." The demon shook his head, but before he said anything...

"oh, oh, oh! Playing together sounds way more fun! So let's do that!" The girl seemed really excited about all of this; Cyan did not understand why. He let out a sigh.

"Well, I guess it's better than coming here and doing nothing..." He said with a bored tone. As he glanced over all the sports, he realized that he did not recognize a single sport on the list. Sighing, he waited for Xia to choose a sport. She probably knew what-

"I don't really know what any of these sport things are, other than Tennis - which is also super fun - but if you want to do something different that's totally cool too!" She didn't seem to have much of an idea herself. With a sigh, he blindly glanced over the list of sports before placing his index finger on one of them.

"Basketball." He simply said. He had heard some of the other patron at the bar - something about "slam dunks" and "space jam". He didn't know what the sport was, but what they had said about it sounded pretty exciting. He thought about ditching Xia to go on by himself, but decided against it - the sport would probably be much more fun if it were with another competitor. Plus it would let him scope out the competition a bit. "We're playing Basketball."

Day 3, 3:00, Hospital

Points: 182

W/L Record: 2/1

The headline still left a sinking feeling in Aurora's gut. She was absolutely getting in over her head right now, but Aurora had to look into Officer Kate's murder. This should have meant she'd be going to the police station instead. However, Aurora had a gut feeling about halfway to the station that she wouldn't be able to just waltz in, say "I'd like to help", and be given permission to work with the police on the investigation, just like that. No, Aurora had to look into this herself. She wasn't a genius by any means, but she'd still have to try. As much as she would have loved to catch a cab, Aurora knew her Fragment well enough to know that putting her in a small space like a car for an extended period of time would just be bad news for whoever was unlucky enough to be her driver.

It seemed she wouldn't be on her own though. Aurora was met with quite the surprise as she closed in on the hospital. Gavin. The boy she'd fought just an hour ago. What was he doing here? "Gavin? Hey there! Crazy meeting you here. You get hurt or something?"

Angela's trip towards the lowest level was uneventful, but it did remind her of her experience two days ago. She smiled even if it was painful. As they said, it was a one night of sweetness with a bitter aftertaste. Now that she was there while it was still day though and while she was in a clearer state of mind, she realized just how different it was with the upper layers. It really reminded her of the slum areas of her home city, one which she visited rarely when she was a kid with...nevermind. Her father did say that the slums were there because the Kingdom was corrupt and simply placed all the undesirables in one place. It was a wonder that even in a bright and radiant futuristic place like this the same thing was still around. Perhaps it was just a constant for humans.

She managed to find her ways to the mines not long after, but to her disappointment it was heavily guarded. The only entrance was blocked by a barrier along with soldiers guarding it. She hid herself using Invisible Air as not long after, the workers were seen leaving the mine. On the split second of the barrier opened, she was able to see that there were another blockade on the distance. This was disappointing. Yet, at the same time, it only made her more curious. Why would a place like this be so heavily guarded? Were they wary of something being stolen? Or was there any other secrets to be found here? With these thoughts on her mind, she decided to follow the workers coming out, and got one of them to follow her into an alley.

Fifteen minutes later, and the two were on their own on a nearby secluded allley. Angela dressed herself first before turning around and start addressing the worker properly. He was fidgeting around, and while he didn't seem to dislike Angela's company, he was seemingly quite shy and worried about something.

"Don't be afraid about me, I'm just here because I have something important to do there. Can you tell me more about these mines?" Angela asked, wiping her mouth in the meantime.

"I, uh, what? Why would you want to know about that place?" The worker was confused. Angela thought for a bit about what sort of reasoning should she say here, and decided to answer something that was not as much as a lie as her other options.

"Let's just say that it's for a favor for a friend. There is something I'd like to find inside, so if you're able to, I'd like to hear more about it."

"There's nothin in there cept the Aetherstones and monsters, dunno what you expect to find there....p-plus the military keeps that place locked up that's some big deal sheet right there." His answer only made Angela more curious, and she continued her attempt to probe him. However, one thing in particular jumped at her.

"Wait, did you say monsters?" Angela, who had been trying her best to act cool to counteract the other party's seeming nervousness, couldn't help but have her eyes lit up at that mention. "Also, what even is Aetherstones? And I thought for a society this advanced, the mining process would already be automatized or something."

"Huh? Everyone knows about Aetherstones. They make all that sheet up there do...their stuff." He didn't seem to know how to answer the second part.

"Hmm..." Only now did it sink on Angela about the disparity between the people of the upper and lower layer, even in mindset. Even if she had traveled a lot, she never actually get to know the impoverished properly yet. He probably wouldn't even know it if she introduced herself as an offworlder from Arena. "But yeah, what about those monsters? Why were there monsters on an important mining facilities like this?"

"Beats me. They just sorta are around. Probably come from out there and found a way in here. They like the mines. I think they eat the Aether or something. Only saw one of em before myself, but my buddy says he almost got killed by one." He seemed to have accepted the existence of these monsters as part of his daily life. It was nice talking about the contents of the mine, but at this point Angela needed to actually be there before she could do anything else. She thought for a while about what she would say next.

"Anyway, do you know any other entrances to the mines other than the worker entrance?"

"Wha, no, there's nothing, no can do, they got it locked up all tight like." He seemed to be uncomfortable with that question. It gave Angela more hints, but still far from enough. it seemed that the barrier was definitely the mine's only entrance.

"When will you have to return there again then?" Angela started to have a thought on how she might be able to enter, but she still needed some more information.

"Uh, not...long from now I think."

"How do you usually enter the mines? Do they check about your identification first before or is there any sort of other security measure inside?"

And so, the man told Angela about the procedure of entrance. About the wall, and the scanner counting up the number of people going in and out, as well as the guards. He seemed to be more and more nervous about telling all that, and the last parts started to feel more and more vague. At the end of it, Angela was fully satisfied, and managed to figure out what she wanted to do. She rose up from her position and approached the worker with a smile.

"Alright, thank you for your information. Would you like another favor from me in exchange?"

"W-well ya see, I have to get ready to go back and uh..."

"Ah...that is unfortunate. Well then...see you later!"

As she said that, Angela summoned an arm from her Heaven's Hole, and knocked the man unconscious with a blow to the back of his head. The next moment was spent by her for changing her current outfit with the man's ragged miner's outfit. Around fifteen minutes later, Angela was already in the middle of the line of workers going towards the mine again with a fitting outfit (her dress was stored in her miner's bag). She wanted to apologize properly once this was all over, so she went to try memorizing the man as much as she could. She wondered if there's any way to transfer credits to him, since he didn't seem to have any watches.

But that's for later. For now, she would need to penetrate this mine somehow.

It didn't take long for Gavin to find the hospital. He just needed to A. Look at the map and B. Follow the sounds of the hustle and bustle regarding this news. Not only that, it also pays to have an AI that can work with getting the precise directions needed...just said that said AI was still talking in Spanish.

Nevertheless, he found the direction of the hospital and even more...he found Aurora.

"Gavin? Hey there! Crazy meeting you here. You get hurt or something?"

"Only thing that's hurt after that fight is my pride." Gavin chuckled, waving his hand a bit dismissive. "No, I'm not injured or anything Aurora. More along the lines of...checking to see if my assistance was needed."

With this Gavin slowly held up the watch Mauvache gave him and nodded. "Saw the video that was displayed. Obviously this meant something to you, plus at the same time...I'm also intrigued. I wasn't aware that androids were a thing on this world. Regardless, as someone who deals with bots and AIs..." he smirked, holding the arm with his MOVA on it. "I figured perhaps I could be of some sort of assistance."

"Ejem..."

He glanced over at the MOVA and rolled his eyes, hearing VEX speak. "Right...I mean WE might be of assistance. That is, if you don't mind our help."

(About funking time I posted.)

Tesability brought a paw to her muzzle upon the question regarding her 'limit of consumption' as Eric continued to ramble about the 'rabbits' in the Arena code.

Her leaflike ears pinned backwards upon seeing the manic smile, remembering how her old partner would mess with her binary code to make her stronger...though it made her pretty sick after each battle, which meant more frequent trips to Doc Boo, which scared her like no Boss NetMonster ever could. That Common Ghost NetMonster was scary in his use of...atypical healing methods.

"Uuhhh...wee shawl shees," she said hesitantly before she heard a 'beep beep' from her watch, prompting her to look down. While she was used to opponents jeering to try to get an advantage on her, one particular comment ended up striking home. "Fwyeen...ish unfaiw?" A frown emerged on her muzzle as a thought floated through her head once more.

She still needed to find the photo person for this place!

"Yu now wewe fohtoh pewshons ish," she tried to ask of Eric in hopes of narrowing down her search for later.

Day 3, 3:00, Hospital

Points: 182

W/L Record: 2/1

"Only thing that's hurt after that fight is my pride. No, I'm not injured or anything Aurora. More along the lines of...checking to see if my assistance was needed."

Assistance? Was it with the Officer Kate situation? Somehow, Aurora doubted he was here to put volunteer hours into the hospital. Not that he seemed like the type to not care about sick people or anything.

"Saw the video that was displayed. Obviously this meant something to you, plus at the same time...I'm also intrigued. I wasn't aware that androids were a thing on this world. Regardless, as someone who deals with bots and AIs... I figured perhaps I could be of some sort of assistance."

"Ejem..."

"Right...I mean WE might be of assistance. That is, if you don't mind our help."

Get help from Gavin, or go at it alone? Well, that was one of the easier choices Aurora had made since arriving in Prana. "I'd love some help!" she exclaimed. Taking Gavin by the hand and starting toward the interior of the hospital, she continued "The last time I came here to do some investigating, I guess I wound up sounding suspicious or something. I'm not really good with diplomacy and stuff, so I'm counting on you to talk to the staff here so we can get to the basement."

Hopefully, Aurora's second trip to the hospital proved more successful than the first.
