Xia was excited to see that everyone else was excited to go elsewhere to have fun, and play games at that. She, however, did not have any idea where such fun and games were located, except for Tennis and Basketball. However, Morgan didn't like sports, which was a shame, but Xia would honor her new found friends methods of fun. Running through her memories of the past few days, she tried to determine where they would have the most fun, and after a good minute or so of thought, Xia snapped her fingers and had seemed to come to a realization. "Alright, you can count on me to lead you all to fun!"

As she stated this, the girl's own watch went off, seeing that her random match had been planned. Xia had no idea who "Masaru" was, which meant that she probably hadn't met them yet. And if she hadn't met them yet then that just meant she had another friend to make today! Looking over to Morgan as she asked her question, Xia said, "oh oh, Aria's great! She's like really to fun hang out with and we went to go to a gym earlier and met this really funny guy. She's that white haired girl that you made friends with earlier today. Oh," she pointed towards Aurora saying, "not her - but she's also really nice - the other one."

Once that was settled, Xia pointed in a direction saying, "alright everyone, follow me!"

It took quite a bit longer then it likely should have to get to the mall, as Xia didn't quite know how to get to it from where they had started, yet they had eventually gotten to their destination. Upon entering the mall, the girl said, "so, you see, I made this really nice and fun friend named Snowball - you met him yesterday," she looked to everyone other than Morgan. " - and their owner, Riley - also nice person - works here! So, if she works here then I bet it's a super fun place to hang out and stuff!" As she explained her reasoning to the group, she saw the bright flashing red sign, pointing at it saying, "see, that looks like a lot of fun!"

Walking through the arcade, Xia let out numerous "ooooh" and "aaah" as she passed by the machines, not actually electing to play anything and instead merely admiring them. As she kept looking around, the girl eventually noticed that her new friend Morgan stopped. Looking at her stunned expression the dragon girl asked, "hey Morgan. You alright?" As she waved her hand in front of her face, Xia then looked to where Morgan's gaze was going. Gasping at the sight, her  expression brightening, the girl simply began waving her hand in a greeting as she called, "hey Camille!" Making her way over to there she said, "man, you look super different when you're not working. Are you here to have fun too?"

Day 4, 11:00(?), Arcade

Points: 43

W/L Record: 2/1

Now this type of setting was more familiar to Aurora. Sort of. She'd been to an arcade once before, but it had shut down a few weeks later, and true to her cold-emanating nature, she was best suited for outdoor locations. Still, after everything else Rama-Indri had thrown at her so far, something that looked and felt normal by her standards was a welcome change of pace. She could see plenty of different machines with people playing at them, and there were even a few titles she could swear she recognized. While some of the group seemed surprised that someone named Camille was here (who was that?), Aurora was busy looking at nearby machines.

And then, she saw it.

An arcade game, and attached to the machine was a plastic gun on a cord. With an identical machine next to it. Shooting games. Those were always Aurora's forte, as far as video games went. Pointing at the machines, the cryomancer asked "Anyone else here think they're a good shot? It's nice to play those kinds of games, but it's better with some competition."

"Well, I'm sure you'll make tons of friends here! After all, it's plain as day to anyone here that you're a person, not a stone so I'm sure no one will step on you!"

Gavin a slight shrug at Xia, only chuckling. "Well, that's still to be seen...though I'll take your word for it." There wasn't much for him to go on for much of these people, but he'd at least give them the benefit of the doubt. Then Xia mentioned about having the group go to an arcade. Now this would've been interesting to see anyway. Though...

Highly doubt the arcades here are anything like the ones back home... he thought. Then again...I still dunno what year this place follows...then again again...new world and universe...

"Games, huh? Sure, why the funk not. I don't have anything else to do.Plus, gives me something else to kick everyone's asses in."

"You seem quite confident in your skills." VEX spoke up, putting his hands behind his back. "However, perhaps it is confidence misplaced?"

"Alright VEX...don't start anything. Your dismissed for now." Gavin quickly stepped in to defuse the conversation before it got out of hand. VEX only shrugged and his hologram faded from view on the MOVA. "I assure you, he meant nothing. He's...a being of science and math, so he's still got a lot to learn about pride in one's abilities."

"Pfft. Oh my god you're friends with a fancy Tamagotchi."

"Tamago-" he looked at Morgan and frowned slightly. "Tamagotchi have been one of those out-dated technologies back where I'm from. Calling my Artificial Intelligence I created something as such is...well it's quite frankly insulting."

After saying this, Gavin got a notification on his watch, seeing that it was apparently letting him know about the battle he'd be dealing with today: Gavin vs. Angela. He rubbed his chin and nodded slightly. He moved slightly to type up on his MOVA. "VEX. I need you to see what we can find out about today's opponent. The name is Angela."

With that out of the way, he could focus on other things until the time was right. ....soooooooooooo......

iU8EggM.png

....the arcade it was.

Gavin strolled around there with the group, seeing a few machines catch his eyes here and there. There was a flight simulator, so that was something that he definitely wanted to check out later. However, he heard Aurora's voice.

"Anyone else here think they're a good shot? It's nice to play those kinds of games, but it's better with some competition."

This caused the young man to chuckle, waving his hand in a dismissive manner. "I think I'll pass on that, Snow Angel." he said, shaking his head. "After all, we've already seen I'm a pretty good shot."

"Sure, let us go to the pub."

Right so. Something was clearly off with Masaru's arm, and Aria definitely had made a new rival today. It was not really the nicest way to start the morning, but for the most part Angela was fine followin the flow of the other two. She was ultimately just glad that she managed to meet an old associate again. She felt like she wanted to ask in detail to Masaru about all that happened with him while he was away from Cherry Heart. Again, she wasn't especially close to him, but it did hurt that Masaru left the guild without much indocators as of why.

Her thought was disturbed when Angela saw how Aria was looking at her and Masaru however, and it made her realize that she was clinging a little too close to him.

"E-err...anyway, does that pub happens to be Tegur's? I think I lost track on the locations in this city, eheh..."

"Well whatever we do you'll have to show me the way, Xia, remember I've only just came here. As far as games go as long as it's not sports then I'm fine. I'm sure some of you haven't even seen a video game before. It'll be funny to watch you struggle." He gave the girl a quizzical look as she seemed to be looking at him specifically, before grinning. He might not know what a "video game" was, but he was sure he'd be able to kick this smug bitches ass at it.

x393wz.jpg

They eventually made it to a mall... whatever that is. And then into the arcade... whatever that was. There was full of flashing lights and loud beeping noises. Different from the casino that he was in, and yet somehow similar. It was all a bit much for him, personally. Xia and Morgana seemed busy with someone Cyan didn't recognize, while Aurora seemed keen on some shooting game. It had weird plastic L-shape things on it... he didn't quite understand. However, he figured he'd pick it up as he played. "Sure, why not." He said, shrugging. "I have no idea how to use those weird... L things... but fuck it, I'll probably do better than you anyways!" He said, letting out a hearty chuckle.

"Calling my Artificial Intelligence I created something as such is...well it's quite frankly insulting."

"Yes," Morgan said, "it is, isn't it?."

"oh oh, Aria's great! She's like really to fun hang out with and we went to go to a gym earlier and met this really funny guy. She's that white haired girl that you made friends with earlier today. Oh,"

After explaining that it wasn't the other girl, why were there so many white haired girls, Xia headed off. "White hair equals annoying, got it." Morgan muttered as she hopped onto her broom and floated after the dragon girl...

....To a mall? "Well, how...ordinary." She said as they entered. "This isn't much different from the ones back home. I expected something more...flashy."

As they entered the arcade, slightly more impressive than what she was used to, the group seemed to split off a bit. Aurora taking the boys over to some shooting game. While she did want to see that loud guy get beat she didn't really care to see Aurora win.

So she continued along until....oh.

That could not be....him? That weirdo boy was HERE?

"hey Morgan. You alright?"

Morgan snapped back to reality as Xia waved her hand in front of her face. "Stop that!" Morgan snapped. "Er, I mean, yes everything is fine."

Camille, finishing up the game, looked over when they heard Xia's voice. Seeming a bit uncomfortable, as though they were caught doing something they shouldn't, the maid made their way over to Xia. "Er, hello....Xia right?" Camille said, rubbing the back of their neck. "Y-yeah I sorta...came here to let off some steam." Camille's voice grew fainter as they went on, blushing in embarrassment. "I didn't...say anything weird did I? I sorta get into a...zone sometimes."

Morgan, not liking being ignored, loudly cleared her throat and got the maid's attention.

And when they saw her their eyes widened. "M-M-Morgan? W-what are you doing here?" Camille took an instinctive step backwards and away from the witch.

Morgan tossed her hair and snorted. "Me? I'm here to fight of course. Mauvache saw my incredible talent and...wait, why are YOU here? No way...don't tell me she brought YOU here to fight, too?"

"N-no of course not." Camille said, waving their hands in front of their face frantically. "I-I'm just a maid, is all..."

Morgan rolled her eyes. "Yeah, sure, she used such a powerful spell to get a maid. Look, you were in the tournament too, but you're leagues beneath me got it? Don't you go thinking we're equals just because of this." Morgan turned to Xia. "Xia, this strange boy didn't make you do anything weird, did he?"

Meanwhile Cam had buried his head in his hands, face bright red, as Morgan casually revealed two of his secrets.

Xia was happy to see that Camille had remembered her, simply shaking her head when she asked if she had said anything weird. Soon enough, though, both Morgan and Camille seemed to start talking with each other with great familiarity. Xia, in turn, was overjoyed by the fact that her newest friend and her other still recent friend were already good friends with each other. As the two continued to talk, Xia was even more astonished by the fact that Camille used to fight, and when Morgan asked if they had done anything weird to her, the girl just put her finger to her chin, thinking. "No, I don't think so. I worked with her and got this super cute outfit and she taught me how to clean things and stuff! It's also where I met Snowball, so that was fun too!"

As the girl said this aloud, it seemed that something in Xia's internal wiring took pause and backtracked. Trying to realize what went wrong with what she said, Xia merely stared blanky for several, silent, seconds. As one of the broken ceiling lights above Xia's head  suddenly turned on again, her eyes flared back to life as she shouted, "you're a he!" Oddly proud of herself for realizing this, she said, "I'm sorry Camille, I didn't mean to call you the wrong thing this whole time, but you're super cute for a boy so I didn't realize. But," suddenly getting back on track with another revelation she said, "you fight too? Man that's super awesome! It's a shame you're not a fighter, otherwise we coulda had loads more fun together! Oh, and then maybe you guys could fight too for old time's sake. I bet that'd be loads of fun too." The girl nodded to herself contentedly as she declared this.

Aria

"Sure, let us go to the pub." Angela said, pushing herself away from Masaru. "E-err...anyway, does that pub happens to be Tegur's? I think I lost track on the locations in this city, eheh..."

"Oh! Yeah, that's his name. I couldn't quite remember, but you guys know each other, right?" Aria said, planting her fist in her open palm. "It's kind of the only place I've really eaten here for the most part? So I don't really know any other place too well. Though I think we got something to eat at that..." Aria realized how foggy her memory of the karaoke night was and immediately felt her face flush in embarrassment. "Ha ha nope nevermind, must've been thinking about something else. Anyways, does Tegur's sound good?"

"Sounds good to me!" Masaru announced happily, and as a group the three of them made their way to Tegur's.

Day 4, 11:00(?), Arcade

Points: 43 41

W/L Record: 2/1

"I think I'll pass on that, Snow Angel. After all, we've already seen I'm a pretty good shot."

"Suit yourself," Aurora shrugged, only slightly disappointed that she'd missed the chance to compare herself to a real-life gunslinger.

"Sure, why not. I have no idea how to use those weird... L things... but fuck it, I'll probably do better than you anyways!"

"That's a pretty big boast, especially when you don't even know what a gun is." Now that was more like it. While she believed Cyanthrax was by all means about to get thoroughly smoked in this little contest, she welcomed the enthusiasm and confidence. Aurora stepped up to one of the shooting game cabinets, with Cyan standing at the one next to her. Both the same game. If Aurora frequented these places, part of her liked to think she could probably play both copies at the same time. For now though, just the one with some competition would have to cut it. Before starting the game, she pulled the plastic gun out of its slot. It had been a while since she held one of these. The cryomancer held it out toward Cyan a bit, explaining "This here's a gun. And at least with the arcade ones, they're super-easy to use. Just point, aim, and pull this trigger here. They're like crossbows if you've got those where you're from, but smaller and better."

A dark grin spread across the girl's face, as she confidently added "And just so you know, I'm from a part of my world that's got a reputation for having lots of these."

Aurora looked over the game instructions, printed just below the screen. It was as simple a game as she could hope. Shoot zombies, don't shoot humans, bonus points for headshots. I have to contain my natural cooling a bit more to keep it from throwing him off, not to mention everyone playing the other nearby cabinets. So I'll probably fall off near the end when my arms start shaking. That just means I have to get a massive lead before that point. Easy.

Aurora swiped her watch over a scanner on the machine, and once it took off two points from her account, the words "SHOOT TO BEGIN" flashed on the screen. "Ready when you are."

At the mention of "Snowball" Cam let out a soft "eep" and looked around as if searching for the beast that went by that name. He seemed to calm down a bit when he noticed that the kitten was not with.

However that didn't last long.

"I'm sorry Camille, I didn't mean to call you the wrong thing this whole time, but you're super cute for a boy so I didn't realize. But," suddenly getting back on track with another revelation she said, "you fight too? Man that's super awesome! It's a shame you're not a fighter, otherwise we coulda had loads more fun together! Oh, and then maybe you guys could fight too for old time's sake. I bet that'd be loads of fun too.

Camille's face was red as a tomato and he stumbled over his response. "No I don't fight. I, um, I did but. I don't...really like...it." His voice trailed off as the first thing that Xia said sank in finally. "Cute?" He squeaked, before shaking his head frantically. "I'm...I'm not...um."

Morgan rolled her eyes. "You should be careful, Xia, he may look cute but he's a weirdo and if you're not careful he'll make you one too." She then leaned forward, grinning wickedly at Camille. "And we could fight but I don't want to embarrass him any more than I have to. There's no way he'd be able to beat me."

"I wouldn't want to." Cam mumbled. Then, a thought crossed his mind, and he moved up next to Xia. "The uh...cat isn't here, right?" he whispered.

Which Morgan clearly didn't appreciate. "What are you whispering about? Are you telling her bad things about me?"

"Tegur's it is then!"

The three of them would find their way going towards the bar. When the three of them arrived, the place was quite empty aside from a few adventurous-looking people. What were there to explore in this place anyway that was not outright illegal? Pushing that thought aside, Angela saw Tegur was busy polishing his crossbow when they were there, and the waitress were there too, currently busy cleaning the tables. THe three of them got a place to sit down before Angela called to the waitress to come to the table.

"I think we're ready for orders. And well...do tell Tegur that we have Masaru here now, wonder how he'll react to him."

Xia seemed a bit disappointed by Cam's response, finding it a bit sad that he didn't enjoy fighting like she did. However, this didn't last long as she instead nodded her head when Camille had asked if he was cute. This was interrupted by Morgan's sudden speech to her, telling her that Camille was actually a "weirdo." Xia merely cocked her head in confusion, not really sure what to make of the term, but that too didn't last very long as Morgan made her note about fighting. "Aww, that's too bad. After all, you don't have to win to have fun in a fight!" With a bright smile, Xia then looked over to Camille as he made his way back to whisper something to her.

The girl dragon girl looked at the boy in confusion, putting her finger to her chin. "What's a cat?" The term was vaguely unfamiliar to the girl, and as Morgan called out to her, she then looked over and said, "oh, no. We weren't talking about you, we were just talking about a "cat." Morgan do you know what that is- oh, are you a cat? If you were then yeah we were talking about you." She then turned to Camille with a smile on her face saying, "well silly, if Morgan's a cat then of course she's here."

"Suit yourself."

Gavin could sense some sort of disappointment in Aurora's voice when she spoke. He didn't do anything for a long bit, until he glanced down at his MOVA, which had a small image of VEX giving him what could only be described as a look of disappointment. Then, text showed up on the MOVA screen in it's place.

"Terrible. Just leaving the lady out to dry like that. For shame Gavin."

"Oh who asked you anyway?!" Gavin moved slightly, doing a bit of a whisper yell at VEX, who's face reappeared and gave just a small smile before fading again. With a sigh, he shook his head and rolled his eyes. Well...it's not like it could hurt. he thought, turning around to move towards the arcade cabinet, but was surprised when a new challenger entered the fray.

"Sure, why not. I have no idea how to use those weird... L things... but fuck it, I'll probably do better than you anyways!"

Cyan's description of the plastic gun made Gavin smirk a bit. Well, let's see if this guy's got game... he thought, now hearing Aurora's explaining everything regarding the game and the gun controls.

"This here's a gun. And at least with the arcade ones, they're super-easy to use. Just point, aim, and pull this trigger here. They're like crossbows if you've got those where you're from, but smaller and better. And just so you know, I'm from a part of my world that's got a reputation for having lots of these."

"Now that's quite the claim." Gavin said, leaning on the one side of the arcade cabinet. "Still, if anything, your world hasn't gotten to the level of fire-power mine does..." He motioned towards his holster and chuckled. "...still, if...Cyanthrax, correct? If he doesn't happen to be up to par with your liking as an opponent here, I can tag in if need be. Buuuuut...something about this guy pretty much screams that he won't be easy to beat." Gavin looked at Cyan and smirked slightly. "I'm not wrong, am I?"

Morgan and Camille both paused and looked over at Xia. Each with expressions of disbelief. Though Morgan's turned angry a moment later as she rounded on Camille. "Are you calling me a cat?"

"No! Not at all! I meant...an actual cat. A kitten. Er..." Cam thought for a moment, remembering, "Snowball." He nodded at Xia. "Snowball is a baby cat, or a kitten."

"Why do you want a cat? Aren't you girly enough as it is. You're not even working and you've got that on." Morgan laughed as Camille tugged awkwardly at the clothing he was wearing.

"It's comfortable." He muttered, abashed.

Morgan hesitated, then looked away. "Come on Xia, are we done here yet? I thought you wanted to play some games." Morgan said. There was an odd tone in her voice and it seemed she was bothered by something suddenly and was refusing to look directly at either Xia or Cam.

Xia seemed to have a look of realization on her face as Cam explained what a cat was to her, or at least a who cat who was. "Oooooh, well, Morgan's not a cat then. Got it." Nodding to herself at this new information, the girl then listened to Morgan's remark on Camille wanting a cat. "Well, why wouldn't he want a 'cat?'" As if getting used to something new, the girl continued to put extra emphasis on the word "cat." "If all 'cats' are as great as Snowball is, then I'm sure everyone should own one! Right Camille?" The girl beamed a smile towards him, only to then notice Morgan suddenly wanting to go elsewhere. Nodding, Xia said, "oh sure, I love games. So let's go find some!" She turned to her maid friend asking, "do you want to come and play games with us too? It'll be looooads of fun, I'm sure!"

After that, Xia had walked around, completely unsure what to make of the arcade around her. There was all kinds of flashing lights and machines that she had never seen before with people using these machines in ways completely foreign to her. However, there was one that she saw that seemed simple enough to her. With little plastic creatures popping their heads out of holes, it seemed that the person playing the game had to just use a small hammer thing provided to hit the animals. Xia figured she would be good at it, and so pointed at it saying, "how about we go do that?"

"A crossbow, huh?" Cyan said, turning the plastic gun in his hand. He never liked crossbows; always seemed like a hassle to have to load it. That said, this gun thing didn't seem to have anything like that. While he wasn't looking at Aurora, he felt a chill down his spine as she mentioned her gun expertise.

Gavin chimed in. Apparently he also had a gun. "I'm not wrong, am I?" Cyan simply grinned.

"You know it!" Cyan barked, aiming the gun at the screen. He took a second to skim over the instructions. Kill the zombies, don't kill peoples. Head-shots give you more points. It all seemed simple enough. He turned to Aurora, smirking. "How ya ready to go down!" With his off hand, he swiped his own card in one swift motion and fired at the screen as soon as it validated him. It almost felt like firing off a fireball. The demon smirked; this was gonna be easy.

"If all 'cats' are as great as Snowball is, then I'm sure everyone should own one! Right Camille?"

"I'd actually rather not." Cam said, voice trailing off near the end as he rubbed at his arm uncomfortably.

"do you want to come and play games with us too? It'll be looooads of fun, I'm sure!"

Camille's eyes widened as he stared at Xia. His eyes then glanced over to Morgan and he shook his head firmly.

Morgan, noticing the look, narrowed her eyes. "I think that'd be a WONDERFUL idea." She then grabbed Camille roughly by the wrist. "Why don't we play, Cammy?" Morgan said teasingly.

Cam gulped and just nodded. "Sure...let's...do that." he said and followed along with Morgan and Xia.

When they reached the game Xia wanted to play Camille let out a sigh of relief. Meanwhile Morgan was looking at it in disbelief. "I can't believe they have that here...er, sure, if that's what you want to play Xia. Why don't you go ahead and give it a shot."

Camille hesitated and then spoke up. "Um, do you need to know...the instructions?"

Day 4, 11:00, Arcade

Points: 41

W/L Record: 2/1

"Now that's quite the claim. Still, if anything, your world hasn't gotten to the level of fire-power mine does..."

"Mmmmm... we've got nuclear weapons and stuff, but most people tend to forget about them when we have people that can shoot lasers from their eyes or bench-press a house." Maybe August would be that strong one day? The first time she met him, he threw a kid bigger than him about a dozen feet away, and that was almost a whole decade ago! She wasn't actually sure what the upper limit of his strength was right now, but surely he could keep developing it? Aurora thought back to other displays of strength August had shown... they were pretty rare, come to think of it.

"You know it!"

Cyan's voice snapped Aurora's mind back to the world she was presently in, as opposed to the one she'd come from. It was time for the game to get started! As Cyan fired at the screen of his game to start, Aurora did the same, and promptly gripped the gun with both hands.

BGM

The game was on. As expected of an arcade shooter, it wasn't anything nuts at first. Bad guy here, bad guy there, no civilians just yet, but all of the bad guys getting blasted in the head as they appeared. This continued for a few more waves, and while Aurora did nearly shoot one of the first civilians to pop up, she managed to avoid pulling the trigger in that instant. Judging by the sound coming from the next machine over and the profanity that followed, Cyanthrax didn't manage to do such a good job of not shooting the hapless civilian.

"You sure you'll do better than me like that?" Aurora teased, not looking away from her screen. She did cast quick glance in his direction between waves of enemies once she got a moment, though. "Also, you can aim better and faster if you hold the gun with both hands. Like this." As if to make her point, Aurora opened fire on the next wave on sight, quickly turning her gun from one undead head to the next in a quick succession of headshots.

The game was on and to Gavin's surprise, Aurora was actually pretty good. He was beginning to think that he, out of the others here, was the best gunslinger around...but this girl was definitely something else. Then again, gunslinging wasn't his specialty...that was saved for his skills as a pilot and his skills with A.I. creation.

At the same time, however, Cyan was...doing alright, he guessed. He wasn't on the same level as Aurora, but for someone who apparently had never held a gun before in his life, it was obvious he was doing the best he could.

"Also, you can aim better and faster if you hold the gun with both hands. Like this."

"That would probably be best, to be honest." Gavin added, shrugging. "Most people end up taking that stance to fire off a weapon like that. Though once you get better at it, you can pretty much fire it with one hand."

He glanced over his shoulder back at the flight simulator arcade cabinet and he gave a small sigh. Guess he was going to attempt to try that out...possibly show off as well.

"Pardon me for a bit...I'm going to test out that flight simulator." he said, chuckling. "It's been a bit since I did any piloting anyway."
