Special Editions and what's included

The Injustice 2 preorder page, as spotted by IGN, shows that there will be at least three versions of the game: Standard ($60), Digital Deluxe ($80), and Ultimate ($100).

The Digital Deluxe edition comes with three DLC fighters, as well as one "premier" skin that you can use to transform Supergirl into Power Girl. In this form, she has a new look, voice, and dialogue. A single gear shader pack--Defender--is also included with the Digital Deluxe version.

The Ultimate Edition, meanwhile, comes with nine DLC characters, three premier skins (one each for Supergirl, Flash, and Green Lantern), and two gear shader packs--Defender and Destroyer.

Looks like different covers depending on which edition you get... unless they are just placeholders for the real cover

I wish I had 100$

I would get this in a heartbeat.

I most likely will not get the Ultimate Edition, but I will be buying the season pass when I get the standard edition. I can't wait to see the rest of the characters, according to the Injustice website, there will be AT LEAST 10-15 more characters, not sure if it includes the 9 DLC characters or not.

The story sounds fantastic too.

I saw Angry joe's video of the story trailer and I am pumped.

NetherRealm’s DC fighting game, Injustice 2, will get an online beta test for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the developer confirmed today. NetherRealm is now accepting registrations for the beta via the game’s official website.

Beyond that, we don’t know much about NetherRealm’s plans. The Injustice 2 beta appears to be limited to players in North America, but NetherRealm promises additional beta details soon.

Those details could come next week, when NetherRealm plans to reveal at least one new character for Injustice 2. Earlier this week, the developer unveiled a fresh look at the game, featuring characters like Bane, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Darkseid.

4chan apparently leaked the ENTIRE roster for this game BEFORE the above trailer was released... and it's so far spot on... here's the characters they said are in the game.

two Green Lanterns (Hal Jordan and John Stewart), the Green Arrow, Flash, Black Canary, Brainiac, Robin (the Damian Wayne Robin), Black Adam, Scarecrow, Doctor Fate, Power Girl, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Cyborg, Joker, and Bane as well as the previously announced characters.

And of these; both Green Lanterns (Stewart is the premier suit), Brainiac, Robin, Power Girl (Premier suit for Supergirl), Joker, Flash and Bane were all confirmed either in the story mode trailer or as DLC bonuses for the special editions.

Of the remaining rumored names, I'd LOVE to see Mister Freeze in this game... and Scarecrow for that matter! What about you?

Also during the livestream, NetherRealm boss Ed Boon said there will be some somewhat obscure characters on the game's roster. The first Injustice game covered all the high points as it relates to well-known DC characters, with the sequel diving deeper into some new ones you may not know as much about. He also teased that there is good chance NetherRealm will release third-party characters as DLC for Injustice 2. He said these were very popular in Mortal Kombat X, so NetherRealm is doing it again.

Overall, Injustice 2 will have the largest roster for a NetherRealm game, both in terms of on-disc and DLC characters, Boon said.

Ed Boon said in an interview regarding the gear system

"that the gear players get will be randomly generated, which means that players won’t have the same gear. This gear system will allow players to change character’s stats and change special moves."

Boon realizes that competitive players are worried about the system, and that there will be a tournament mode that disables the equipment. He also revealed that there won’t be any gear sold as DLC, and that online play will allow players to choose opponents that either use or don’t have any gear.

Ed Boon is at it again... he tweeted this about his Surface Studio PC, and you can see he's also watching an Injustice 2 trailer, presumably the next character reveal... tomorrow from what I've gathered

Here's a closeup... horrible quality, of that shot... to me it seems Aquaman is fighting someone who has green, can't tell if it's skin or if it's an outfit and white gloves... Beast Boy perhaps?

And he also tweeted that he watched what could be the greatest trailer for Injustice ever...

No reveals in this trailer, but we do get a look at The Society, which looks to be run by Gorilla Grodd. It's cool that we see Scarecrow before he becomes the epic character NetherRealm made him when he fights, which I assume is the form Jonathan Crane takes when he is exposed to the fear toxin.

The final character to be released for the base game... the date is rumored to give away the character... how?

Batman_428.jpg

Issue 428 of Batman comics is part 3 of 4 of the Death in the Family arc, which could mean 1 of two things

A) Jason Todd (Red Hood) is the final character

or

B) Joker is the final character
