Speaking of, Why does Nino have a weapon that lowers cooldown rate when she has no cooldown skill to use?

 

And how can there be fans of Geneaology of the Holy War? Why are there so many Julia fans?

 

On another note, Lloyd doesn't look too bad. He's not gonna have a Lightbrand or a Levin Sword is he?

 

Can't wait to see what they'll do for Linus.

I'm not sure its so much people are fans of Julia as it is "I'm tired of the waifu bait fanservice characters winning the gauntlet" Also...

I want Tharja to die, but she's won me over as a unit here. Best unit I have probably. She's cute, to boot.

 

I, on the other hand, am just voting against Tharja cause she's literally the worst character. Lazy writing.

How does Tharja have lazy writing? Most of her support conversations are really interesting and she uses her magic to help other characters come to terms with painful experiences that happened in their pasts, and she's very different from a lot of FE characters with her sarcasm and deliberately exaggerated creepiness to keep people at arm's length due to her insecurities and trust issues. I feel like she's a finely written character. Certainly not the worst Awakening character, by far.

 

Sure, you can complain about the fanservice aspect of her character, but I feel like that didn't even come in until later. Stuff like the summer DLC and the figure she got may make it seem obvious now, but just playing through the main game with this as her portrait

one could easily not see that she's supposed to be the sex symbol of the game. Characters like Camilla are way worse about it than Tharja.

Henry is the one who helps people with magic. Like, context clues? Not to mention that he has his own insecurities he struggles with.

 

Tharja doesn't have that growth you describe. She shows tiny scraps while being largely self-serving, manipulative, and creepily obsessed for the yandere hype.

 

This would be fine if she was an antagonist and you removed the fetish fuel aspect, but you're being asked to feel for a character who's an obvious villainous jabroni who may have the occasional "heart of gold" moments, which she doesn't even get in half of her supports.

 

Rhajat shows off her good qualities a lot more than Tharja ever did, which made me like Rhajat from the start. She took the little bits you're citing and made them a major focus, while still keeping her a bit of a mischievous and somewhat manipulative jabroni. In a way that shows she generally does it for fun, like taunting her dad or acting cold towards villagers while secretly helping them. Which is the entire point of making the support with her mother show such.

 

Tharja lacks what Rhajat has to make her a good character.

I mean this as well. I'm backing Julia cause I love Julia, but it doesn't hurt that I hate that the waifu characters are always the ones that seem to win purely because well... waifu. I don't even particularly hate Lucina, Camilla, and Tharja, in fact, I really like the first two, I mostly just hate their fanbase.

 

Yeah, but I also don't know how I feel about Lloyd's art... it seems a little too thin, I guess?

I don't know. I think it kinda fits. Lloyd is a Myrmidon class, so it's to be expected he has high Attack and Speed. I think those buckles might be there to restrain his power. He was picked off cause of it. So I think it'll be great to have a character like Lloyd be part of the roster with his laid back yet faithful attitude. Now whose gonna voice him?

 

And I bet you're comparing Camus to Miles Edgeworth cause they have the same artist?

So Celica's statline is nearly identical to Tharja's, only -1 Spd, -1 Def, +2 Res in comparison. So that's good. Also, her weapon description is misleading, she only takes the 5 damage after battle if she started at 100% and got the +5 Atk/+5 Spd. It's not like Fury where it happens every time.

 

So I'm thinking Life and Death + Renewal are really good skills for her. That would put her at 56 Atk/43 Spd for her first combat, which is insane. Now I just need to pull her.

I finally got my first Hinata so I can finally give Fury 3 to someone without using 20k feathers to 5* Jagen or something, as well as a +Atk -Spd Sophia which is her best nature.

 

Also, Genny has a base Atk of 35. Holy sheet. For comparison, that's the same as Ike's.

Anna, definitely. If you have pretty much any other sword lord, Alphonse isn't worth it.

 

And I wouldn't say they have an unfair advantage. Completely doable with free units at only 3 stars.

Well I still need to upgrade Alphonse so I'll upgrade Anna for now.

 

I really wish Tharja had Nosferatu as her 5* weapon. As for the heroes I got from the pull, I got a 3 star Barst, a 4 star Matthew, a 4 star Sully, a 5 star Fir and a three star grey hero.

 

I know Tharja's winning and all but how are things on the other side?

 

One more thing, if Laguz from PoR were in this game, what color would each species be? Ex. Would bird Laguz be classified as green?

 

And this may be my opinion, but I think Travis Willingham would make a great Tibarn.

 

Edit: Update: I unlocked Anna to 5 star. Now she's got Noatun and Vantage 3.Torns out since I used her a lot back when she was 4 stars, I had a lot of SP accumulated on her, so unlocking those two skills was easy.

She still needs a lot of work, but since I finally pulled a +Atk -Spd Sophia I've been able to finally start building her up. I just need to farm the SP to learn Reposition, Triangle Adept 3, and Threaten Atk 3, get her Swordbreaker, and then get her to 5*. Not necessarily in that order, since when I level her up through 5* I can get a ton more SP.

Thankfully the farming has been easy. When a mage can face tank stuff like a Lunatic difficulty Frederick for 0 damage, you don't really have to worry about them dying.

Assuming your Tharja is level 40 (5 stars), holding a Rauorblade+ and having "Darting Blow 3" (or something alike as A-skill), I would assume it is +speed, -attack. Not her best nature… could be worse.

 

I'd argue it's one of her most ideal one, although of course outranked by any other nature that raises her Speed.

 

the -ATK is easily covered by Raudrblade power stacking, while the +Speed is vital for her to be able to double a lot of things.
