Aww no Bridal Lyn or L'Arachel. Was to be expected though. I'll probably choose Sakura.

Unrelated to the voting gaunlet, has anyone else been running into an unusual amount of merged teams lately? Even though I demoted last season, this season I have been running into a lot more than I remember. None of my team members are merged, nor have I drastically changed my team composition (replaced Sharena with Anna).

Anyhow, my Flyer Emblem team is comming along nicely: Cherge (atk, -hp) just needs an upgrade to her brave axe (and possibly Bonfire instead of Moonbow). Then I can start working on the rest of the team; starting with Palla (neutral), then Catria (neutral), Shanna (+atk, -hp) or Est (+atk, -def); and lastly I will focus on… I don't know. Any thoughts?

They haven't released L'Arachel yet. Though you'd probably need all the royals for that. Oh, brainstorm!

The royals make their march. New heroes arrive from Sacred Stones:

Tactical Sniper Innes. Weapon: Nidhogg.

Flighty Princess Tana. Weapon: Vidofnir

Smooth Wanderer Joshua. Weapon: Audhulma

Just Healer L'Arachel. Weapon: Latona

These weapons will be given to them at 5* potential.

Well that is the reason I didn't find it surprising that she wasn't in the voting gaunlet. Doesn't take away that I find it somewhat dissappointing that she isn't a part of it… though I could list a whole lot of unrelated units by similar logic.

While I don't mind getting "Latona" as a staff, I don't really know what it would do compared to the other weapons; healing all allies is already a special ("Heavenly Light"), status effects are somewhat scarce. Maybe a staff with a killer effect, or built in "Wings of Mercy 2". Or just give her a regular staff. As for Joshua, we already have Navarre and Lon'qu as fast sword users (though they don't have a sword with built-in "Resistance +2", or whatever effect you want to give it).

Haven't played the radiant series; knowing Ike from Smash bros and some others from heroes. So I had to look him up on the wikia: he seems quite amusing, so I would not be disappointed if he were to get added, in which case he might be a Grand Hero Battle boss (we haven't gotten many healers from them yet).

He's a pretty minor character, definitely amusing especially in Radiant Dawn when he can join you, but apparently he's actually meme levels of popular in Japan so I don't think it'd be impossible for him to get in.

Though he'd most likely come in not as a healer, but as a tome user, most likely having the Light version of Nosferatu putting him into the blue tome category.

You'd think but they made Lucius a staff user so...

Also since my boy Lucius got robbed of a spot I'm going to side with Clarine this Gauntlet cause I actually have her

I didn't realize that this voting gauntlet theme is supposed to be a play on words. The Cleric class is called Sister in Japanese, so of course all of the characters would be sisters to other characters.

[spoiler=Also, healing intensifies.]

I had to do research to find the names of these weapons. Maybe Latona can have the heal all allies effect but only 20 of the person she is healing and 5 of everyone else. Her special can be Heavenly Light. After all, Innes, Tana, Joshua and L'Arachel are all members of the royal families of their respective countries. Innes and Tana being the prince and princess of Frelia, Joshua the ruler of the desert nation and L'Arachel a princess of her kingdom. So why not give them the legendary weapons of their respective kingdoms? I would give Audhulma Def +2 cause even though the myrmidon/swordmaster class is speedy, they don't take hits as well as they dish them out.

Shradow, what's your opinion on this:

Tactical Sniper Innes. Weapon: Nidhogg

Flighty Princess Tana. Weapon: Vidofnir

Smooth Wanderer Joshua. Weapon: Audhulma

Just Healer L'Arachel. Weapon: Latona

Almost forgot, the Grand Hero Battle should be Lyon. And as a unit:

Possessed Prince Lyon. Weapon: Gleipnir at 3*, but Naglfar at 5*.

This way all the SS Kingdom's descendants are present.

I ended up using 60 orbs on 3 full pulls on the Block A healer banner since I figured if there was any time I'd be pulling colorless (since it's the only way to get characters like Takumi, Klein, or Jaffar), it'd be now. Ended up with a +HP -Spd Elise as my very last pull, so I won't have any unused pity timer which is nice. I'll just be using her for general healing so her nature doesn't really matter. I also got a couple of Abels so I could finally give Swordbreaker to my Sophia which is great. I didn't end up actually getting all that many colorless orbs, but I guess stuff worked out.

That effect is something I deem rather unlikely; "Recover" heals the target ally for 15 while increasing the special cooldown by 1. A staff which would constantly heal 20 hp (and 5 to everyone else) would be way to good in comparrison. Just giving her "heavenly light", as stated before, should work well enough (assuming she ends up as troubadour, instead of valkerie).

Personally I'd give Audhulma "Res +2" before "Def +2", given it boosted the wielder's resilience in Sacred Stones. But given how they handled Siegmund and Sieglinde (both boosted the wielder's attack by 5 points (in addition to being super effective against monsters)), I wouldn't be surprised if they gave it "Hone res 2". Similar skills could be given to the other legendary weapons. (Also: Rausten was a theocracy, not a kingdom.)

As for Lyon, he'd probably end up with "Fenrir" (given he wielded that tome, all legendary weapons upgrade from a regular-ish weapon, and it "Fenrir" is already in the game), which can then get upgraded to Naglfar. As for the tome's effect… I have no idea; it didn't have an effect in Sacred Stones.

L'Arachel was a Troubador before promotion, and promotion is something they need to work on in this game. Maybe Latona can just recover an ally unit's HP by 50% and reduce cooldown by 2, at least on the first time it's used. Heavenly Light is a great skill for her so we'll go for that. And if that's the case, +2 Res for Audhulma it is.

Neither Fenrir nor Naglfar have any skills to speak of. Gleipnir has Skill +5 but there's no Skill stat in Fire Emblem Heroes. Same problem with Nidhogg, there's no Luck stat. Maybe it can have Hone ATK 2. Vidofnir is an easy one. Give it Def +2.

There is some reason for this. Gleipnir could symbolize whatever good there was in Lyon, then when he gains Naglfar, that is when he becomes evil.

Speaking of, Lyon should be normal when he attacks, but evil when he's damaged and psycho-evil when he uses his special.

That just leaves Garm, Excalibur and Ivaldi.

Now setup:

Fir the first part we encounter Tana and Innes, along with one soldier of each weapon type.

Second we deal with L'Arachel and Joshua and one knight of each weapon type.

Finally we deal with all four of them.

I never realized how neat Lyn's kit is. Sol Katti comes with Desperation 2 and she inherently has Defiant Atk, so throw Brash Assault on her and once she drops below 50% she's a monster.

Also, ended up using 20 orbs on the Fury banner since I needed more Fury. Ended up getting a 4* Hinata and 5* Bartre so that's nice, also a +Spd -Res Soren. I almost decided not to, but with July coming soon with new quests and stuff I'll be able to build up more orbs. I still have 40, at least, now that I've finished all the 10th Stratum quests.

Skills that give a visual boost don't stack with one another; the biggest boost takes precendence. Since "Defiant atk" is a visual boost (numbers turn blue) and Volkvangr has "Defiant atk 2" built in, they don't stack. Deathblow on the other hand does stack with other skills (and thus Durenal).

Yup, it's easy to tell what does and doesn't stack based on whether it gives you the green arrow + blue stat numbers. So stuff like Rally, Hone, Fortify, Defiant, etc. skills don't stack, only taking the highest value (for example, if someone is buffed at the beginning of the turn from Hone Atk, you are unable to use Rally Atk on them), while stuff that's in combat like Spur, Ward, and Goad skills do stack. It's one of the reasons I want an Armor Emblem team, so I can give everyone Ward Armor and constantly have +12 Def/Res on everyone.

If I had multiple Hectors, I would built an armor emblem team by giving Zephiel and Effie distant counter, among some other interesting skills. I was thinking a "killer lance", "quickened pulse" and "Bonfire" for Effie; that way the opponent needs to oneshot her or take a lot of damage in return… though with all the "firesweep" weapons that get introduced, thid might not be as effective. Unfortunatly I don't have a single Hector yet, though I have more than enough Draugs to give "ward armor" to all members.

I'm building Flier emblem instead; they are easier to obtain. Their focus however lies more at offence with "goad fliers". Only issues are deciding who to use and which skills to inherit(/not let go to waste). My current plans for the team are as follows, natures and units might not be the best, but those are the ones I have. Thus far only Cherche's build is close to completion.

  • Cherche (+atk, -hp)
    • Brave axe+
    • Reposition
    • Moonbow/Bonfire (inherited "moonbow" alongside "goad fliers", "bonfire" probably works better for her)
    • Death blow 3
    • Hit and run
    • Goad fliers
  • Palla (neutral)
    • Ruby sword+
    • Reposition/Draw back/?
    • Moonbow
    • Iote's shield
    • Wings of mercy 3
    • Goad fliers
  • Shanna (+atk, -hp) (would be replaced with a "regular" Cordelia; I only have the bridal version)
    • Killer lance+
    • Reposition/Draw back/?
    • Iceberg?
    • Darting blow 3?
    • Desperation 3
    • Goad fliers
  • Michalis (neutral)/Est (+atk, -def)/Narcian (neutral)/Subaki (?)/bonus hero/someone to deal with bow users/etc.
Spring Camilla would have been great, she unfortunatly isn't that easy to summon. So I'm hoping for Aversa (or someone similar) as a grand hero battle to fill that niche (albeit as a red mage (presumably)). Other than that I'm currently trying to save up orbs for when a focus with special units comes around… which isn't going too well; currently at 18 orbs. Which might limit my ability to summon cool summer-time only fan-service units.

The Ylissean Summer banner has been datamined: http://imgur.com/a/PkWRW

And the rest of the info: https://www.reddit.com/r/FireEmblemHeroes/comments/6jpc35/feh_datamine_v15_june_26_2017/

The Summer skills look neat, but nothing I absolutely need, thankfully. When the update comes out next month I'll probably do a full summon session and that'll be it for me. Frederick is probably my favorite, though. Him going around the beach picking up seashells totally fits with his character.
