[spoiler=So here are the new refines:]

mAfVpW2.jpg?1qDr6Exa.jpg?1OTp65xF.jpg?1

Odin's is a better Bladetome but nothing so great that it brings him out of the gutter. Meanwhile Cherche's is just a stronger Brave Axe with Panic Ploy which is great for her, and Celica's no longer having the 100% HP requirement means she can stack Ragnarok's +5/+5, its Brazen Atk/Spd refine, and Brazen Atk/Spd A slot for +19/+19 once she's below 80%. Insanity.

Probably going to refine Ragnarok as soon as I get enough Dew, and promote a Linus for Brazen Atk/Spd whenever I get enough feathers as it would work better than Swift Sparrow.

Also managed to pull a neutral Myrrh as my free summon on the Fury banner, so that was good.

Celica's refine looks dangerous indeed. I got a +Res/-HP so her offenses are untouched, I would refine her weapon once I get spare dew but wouldn't spend on a Brazen Atk/Spd for her yet.

On another note, something that has been bugging me.

I got some Winter Chroms around. I'm torn between merging all of them into a single one, or storing his weapon for inheriting to other units, since his Brazen Skill became more accessible with Ares' demotion. But my question is: is there truly an unit that specifically prefers the Sack o' Gifts over other inheritable weapons like, let's say, Slaying or Brave Axe? If not, I wouldn't hesitate with the merging anymore.

Praise combat manuals! I have so much barrack space now!

And in case anyone is confused about how they work:

  • Any unit you turn into a combat manual cannot be turned back into a unit.
  • Combat manuals keep track of their stars and natural skills but do not include things like level, SP, or inherited skills.
  • Combat manuals can be ranked up with Unlock Potential the same as a normal unit.
  • Combat manuals can be used to inherit skills onto units the same way you used normal units before.
  • Combat manuals can be used for merges the same way as before (though obviously you cannot merge into them as the base as they are no longer units).
  • Combat manuals can be sent home for feathers the same as a normal unit.

So basically, you can safely turn any unit into a combat manual as long as you aren't using them or aren't planning on using them. With some units you'll want to keep at least one in your barracks so you have a base in case you want to do future merges, like GHB/TT rewards.

Managed to get a +Spd/-Res Myrrh as my free summon on my alt so that is good, so now if I get a better A!Tiki I can start building a dragon team.

Didn't get anything useful on my main and I have Sigurd and Eldigan I can use as a bonus unit for the Tempest Trail so I don't need to summon for anything. Special Spiral could be useful but I may get Lewyn at some point later.

Got curious about some things in your Manual storage:

You turned 2 Exalted Chroms. Did you keep 1 as unit or is it not something that you do? Wouldn't it have been better to have a +2~3 merge instead, or do you have better units already? Asking because as a f2p player it's rare for me to have duplicates on Rank5 exclusives, let alone 3+.

Don't Manuals still take Barracks space? If so, why bother turning single units into Manuals if they don't reduce space, at least not yet?

You may as well Rank up the Rank2~3 Manuals and stack them with the Rank4s xD

Manuals do not take barrack space, that's sort of their point. If they still took space there'd be no reason for combat manuals to be a thing, since aside from not being usable in combat their utility is basically the same as normal units.

And I just never used Chrom. When it comes to red cavalry I've got Xander and Swordhardt which is enough.

So decided to do a yolo summon and managed to get a +Spd/-Hp Lewyn. Not sure if I'll keep him as I do want to fodder off Special Spiral to someone. I am completely finished with this banner as I managed to get a focus on both my main and alt.

I got Minerva, Working on her now.

Making her a Speed Wall. She can tank physical hits and has high speed.

There's another one of those question mark images like we had before and people are thinking it's hinting at either Flora or Lilith from Fates:

Personally I'd love Lilith. Haven't played Fates, but I know more or less her story, and more importantly I love her design (so cute) and I think it'd be really cool if she were a dragon healer in FEH. Not a true healer, since they only use staves as both weapons and assists, but she could have Astral Breath as her weapon making her a dragon, and a unique healing assist with Astral Blessing, like how Micaiah has Sacrifice.

People currently have it as Flora, given a site with achievements for the game has an icon of her head for chapter 13 of book 2. All of the depicted characters have a background that matches the color of the stone from which you summon them. Flora is depicted in a red one, as maids only wield daggers and staves in Fates, it can be assumed that she will be our first red dagger user (there isn't a precedent for colored healers yet).

Bump:

Okay everybody, we got our units and they're all from Conquest.

First up is Ophelia, daughter of Odin who keeps her original English va. Not a bad skillset. She might be better than her dad.

Next is Nina, daughter of Niles with a penchant for boys love, who is voiced by Liv Strander instead of Natalie Lander. Like Father like Daughter I guess. Her skillset could be better. though.

Then there's Silas, Corrin's childhood friend, voiced by Antony Del Rio who, like Laura Bailey before Alexis Tipton took over the Lucina role, is not credited. His skillset could use work.

Finally, the first of the series, Flora, Felicia's sister who keeps her English va, and is a red dagger unit. Her weapon is kinda broken though, I mean +20 DEF, that would probably imply she has zero def at all, but still, must pull for her since she has the best skillset.

Silas is the overwhelmingly obvious demote, at least he'll put Reposition fodder into the blue pool (along with Even Def Wave though I'm assuming it'll be his 5* skill). Even without his voice being credited I immediately recognized it as Pit, though.

We've reached Yu-Gi-Oh! levels of descriptions with Flora's dagger.

I'm really happy to see more Umiu Geso art with Ophelia. The only other thing they've done so far is W!Lissa, which is freaking beautiful.

I sure hope Laegjarn is okay, that new chapter preview was extremely worrying. >.>

EDIT: Oh snap, and Garon will be a GHB!

IDK why IS keeps doing this thing of giving the sometimes only male unit of the banner the least number of skills and the more predictable demotion. Is the fanservice drive so strong to neglect male characters in this way?

And what's the deal with the uncredited VAs?

+20 Def is a big number, IMO. Makes me wonder why they simply didn't prevent counterattacks and enabled double attacks instead, as a sort of "Close Breaker". Or is there an advantage from the Def gain? One would think Bonfire, but with her built-in Iceberg, should be safe to assume Flora's Res is higher.

The introduced "Solo" skills are interesting though. Can't wait to see when more variants of it are released and inherited on characters with weapons like Walhart's, L!Ephraim's.

Ophelia got my interest the most. Does it means that in a full-mage team she gets to reduce the cooldown by 5 with her weapon? Sounds fun to have a ready-to-go Aether, but IDK if that would be a reliable strategy since it only applies on Turn 1. I guess cooldown-3 skills should still be better for her.

I find odd for a mage to have Sturdy Blow. This implies she may be a physically defensive mage like Boey, and that's good news for me since personally I have wanted to see more units like this.

Funny to finally see the Missiletain weapon. IIRC some players in the reddit site were wondering why Odin's weapon refine was not given that name.

Also, that AoE Rally Atk didn't go unnoticed. Could these new Rally variants make make the Feint skills more relevant?

Can't say I'm too excited about the banner. I'm not a Fates player after all. I have read about the characters and have a few favorites, but not fully familiar with the game nor the cast. I hoped for vanilla Charlotte being introduced in this banner when she was mentioned in the reddit site. It's nice to see Silas, and if he is demoted, not only it will be easier for me to get him, also in addition to being a Reposition unit, he would make Steady Stance more accessible. IMO is about time they do that since I don't find it cool for it to still be Rank5-locked when it is practically a weaker version of Steady Breath, also Rank5-locked.

The artworks are great, at least. I would roll for Ophelia... but sucks that she shares color with Silas.

You sure about the last part?

Edit: Okay, we are getting Garon, the biggest JERK in Fire Emblem history. Why couldn't it have been Iago?
