You sure about the last part?

Edit: Okay, we are getting Garon, the biggest JERK in Fire Emblem history. Why couldn't it have been Iago?

But....Iago was the bigger jerk. At least with Garon he had the possession thing. Iago was just plan a dick.

Anyway happy with these units will probably go for them all if possible

Yeah, I haven't played Fates but from what I hear, Garon was a pretty good dad before the whole possession thing, which is why Xander's so faithful.

Also, I don't have a frame of reference due to not playing Fates, but one would have to really go above and beyond to be a bigger dick than Izuka.

Allrighty, now then as for which version.

We all know Garon is the final boss of Birthright and the penultimate boss of Conquest. Now Among these Garon has three forms, human, dragon and blob monster. The human (Nohrian King) and blob monster (Empty Vessel) forms will obviously be green axe units, while his dragon (Blight Dragon) form will be a green dragon unit. All three forms might have Dragonskin which might make him resistant to bows, the former two forms will have Bolverk as their axe while dragon form has dark breath. Finally, location. It will be either the Hoshidan palace before the true final boss or the Nohrian throne room.

We have our factors, let's see which ones land on the mark.

Don't know how many of you will get this joke but this is something I posted on the subreddit since there were abunch of text edit memes going around due to the size of Flora's weapon description:

EDIT: So the update is out and datamining has begun, Garon's a red dragon.

Body_AllTex_old.png

His art appears to be Ippei, as well: https://imgur.com/a/9lXuWip

His weapon is Breath of Blight: Neutralizes "effective against dragons" bonuses. At the start of turn 4, deals 10 damage to foes within 3 spaces, and restores HP to unit = number of foes within 3 spaces × 5. If foe's Range = 2, calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res.

Helbindi, Laegjarn, and Laevateinn are all in the hero catalogue as silhouettes, too!

BST:
Ophelia: 151
Nina: 151
Silas: 156
Flora: 151
Garon: 163
Helbindi: 163
Laevatein: 163
Laegjarn: 162

Superboons:
Ophelia: Atk
Nina: HP
Silas: Spd
Flora: None
Helbindi: None
Laevatein: None
Laegjarn: None

Superbanes:
Ophelia: HP
Nina: Def
Silas: HP
Flora: HP, Def
Helbindi: Spd
Laevatein: HP
Laegjarn: Res

I am in love with Helbindi's statline. Minmaxed as funk.

Wow so there are Arena skills now on Laegjarn and Helbindi, for red fliers and green infantry respectively (also A slot, making them super funking awful): Grants HP+5. If unit is 5★ and level 40 and unit's stats total less than 170, treats unit's stats as 170 in modes like Arena. (Higher-scoring opponents will appear. Stat total calculation excludes any values added by merges and skills.)

Okay, first pull was garbage, second pull I got Nina, and oddly enough a 4 star Niles.

Maybe there is hope, I just hope the flame sisters and Helbindi aren't legendary pulls, that would be a nightmare.

[spoiler also]

Laevatein becomes the new queen of Muspell, and we learn that Fjorm offered her life for the rite of frost and she's on borrowed time.

But seriously, everyone, when the next People's choice comes out, VOTE FOR THE FLAME SISTERS.

With that out of my system, With these factors, Garon's GHB will take place in Garon's throne room, the same place as the final battle of Birthright, only without the dragon veins.

My free orb was Silas. That's nice but I want Ophelia more. I sniped for a couple more of blues but didn't get any other Rank5.

Should be safe to assume the Muspell characters will show up in an upcoming banner. I'm torn between the sisters: I like Laegjarn more, but I find Laevantein's weapon appealing since it's a sword variant of the Bladetomes, while Laegjarn's weapon seems a bit tricky to use at its maximum potential. That is, assuming they keep the same weapons.

On another note, I'm annoyed at the leaked Arena skills. As others have expressed in the reddit site, it's as if IS was stating that they don't intent to adjust the arena scoring at all. IDK to who are these skills catering to, even: whales most likely will stick with their armored units, and if you wanted to bring your non-armored units to the highest tiers, they would be at disadvantage due of the lack of the better A skills and thus doubt would get you as far as the armored units. Really, so far these skills would only be good on Dancer units, who are not intended to battle anyway. But what concerns me the most is if IS starts including these skills in the kits of new characters instead of other useful skills. I already find the Valor skills a bit of a kit space waste, and these would add to the list.

So after that last chapter...

[spoiler=Spoilers]Damn, rip. Helbindi was too good for this world. Best boy for sure. I'm sure later books will involve finding a way to save Fjorm or something.

[spoiler maybe]

Since Surtr is now dead once and for all, maybe the summoner (us) will return the power of the Rite of Frost so that Fjorm can get healthy again.

[spoiler Also...]

Since Laevatein is the new Queen of Muspell, she could be a candidate for a new Legendary pull:

Muspell Queen Laevatein, a sword infantry type, Fire legendary. Her sword can be Reforged Laevatein, and she can have Fury but here's the catch, she only takes damage in battle, she does not suffer from the hp loss effect of Fury.

Quick! Everyone act surprised!

Still going for Helbindi as planned. The minmax is strong with that one.

EDIT: Saw it pointed out that in every map he appears in the story mode, Helbindi has Wrath. But on the banner, after we saw the last chapter, he has Guard. Aw...

He also had varying A skills depending on his situation in the story, too. Bruno had a similar thing for that one time he had Lancebreaker and claimed to have killed Zacharias that chapter.

That's pretty neat, and Ike no longer has a monopoly on breathing, but Imma keep pulling for Helbindi.

I actually got pity broken by Laegjarn (+HP -Def, more or less neutral) when I went for a red due to there being no green orbs, so now I've got 2/3 units from the banner but not the one I really want. >.>
