Are cards which activate their effect on either player's turn ruining the game?

Just wanted to hear on whether you think cards made by Konami which have multiple effects or can activate their effect on either player's turn are ruining the game IYO.

It's bad enough that first turn player can set up lock down cards that restrict what you can play but when you have to deal with monsters that can literally trigger off on your turn or cards which have multiple effects that can activate in the graveyard, banished and while on the field, it kind of basically mitigate the effect of destroying them. Take for example, the destruction of  Dragon Rulers which are now all banned. Those guys had multiple effects in such a way that it doesn't matter if it was banished, destroyed you still +1. The same kind of design can be seen with cards like Framelord Oemga which not only doubles as a constant burial from different dimension but a hand disrupter.

Once per turn: You can send 1 "Lunalightmonster from your Main Deck or Extra Deck to the Graveyard; this card's name can be treated as the sent monster's, if used as a Fusion Material this turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect: You can target 1 "Polymerization" in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Lunalight Kaleido Chick" once per turn. If this card is banished: You can activate this effect; this turn, your opponent's cards and effects cannot be activated during the Battle Phase.

So let see. You got a free Foolish burial with leg and extra deck dunker. If you kill it they get a free poly recycle. If you banish it then basically your opponent gets stun.

OK so first things first, Kaleido Chick's floating via card effect and via banish are supposed to be triggered by you, the user, not actual floating for the opponent. Also, locking Battle Phase effects is honestly just a rando effect that doesn't really matter.

Onto the actual meat

So first off the words "ruining the game" have never had any meaning, literally every development in this game has had that phrase thrown at it

They also assume 2 things: That Koinma believes that there is a "right" way to the game that these developments do not match, and that the players care enough that they actually stop playing (that last part is key).

Players can jabroni all they want but what it comes down to at the end of the day is that enough of us still find it pretty darn fun, TBH, and that probably a good portion of us are sadistic/masochistic enough to think it's even more fun this way

Multiple effects go against my desires of keeping game text larger than 4 point font, but ultimately it just doesn't matter enough for me. Similarly, the fact that the competitive arena is built around mass fields does not and will never matter to a competitive player, who willingly buys into any structure that Kanomi creates, and should not matter to the casual player, who is free to pick out and focus on whichever aspects of the game they enjoy the most so long as they avoid Rated Duels like the plague.

Or if they're competitive-player-hunters, they can enter Rated Duels and savor the cheese victories, which is probably another reason, no matter how much they'll never admit it, people actually enjoy playing this game
