Tinkerer
So to clear up making a ton of individual threads on cards that pop into our heads that might work with the new link stuff, I thought it might be better making a single thread for that. Things that were brought up before include: Multi-Summon Stuff:- The Agent of Creation - Venus- Scapegoat- Gofu Field Locking Stuff:- Ground Collapse- Ojamas Moving Stuff:- Senet Switch Other stuff that might be notable:- mass destruction/removal looks like it might be more prevalent again with the difficulty in establishing boards of high-powered monsters.- Recovering ED stuff from the Graveyard allows them to be summoned in the MMZ. Therefore, recovery options might be more helpful. Other cards:- Dandylion- Scapeghost- Interrupted Kaiju Slumber- Corrupted Keys- Galaxy Tomahawk- Zany Zebra- Ninjitsu Art of Shadow Sealing- Rivalry of Warlords- Hippo Carnival/Super Hippo Carnival Any other stuff you can think of? Thoughts on the other suggested cards?
Blake
Kaijus don't lock the board. You just devour them for Links.
Tinkerer
Kaijus don't lock the board. You just devour them for Links.Right, I guess I misunderstood when I saw that suggestion. As it is though, it is a card that is both mass destruction and throws a monster on board, so I guess it is viable under these new conditions. Pchi
I might be missing something here, but doesn't the "Hippo Carnival" cards lock you from SS from the ED? This way. you wouldn't be able to LS.

I'm glad I'm getting this stuff down now instead of testing and finding these out to be duds later on. *removing*
Black D'Sceptyr
Storm Shooter also looks to be a new MVP here like Apex Avian. Wreck your opponent's Extra Deck Monster Zone once each turn while yours stays fresh. Double for Blasting Fuse.
Sleepy
Guys, what are your current thoughts on Instant Fusion in the game after the new rules? It seems it is still gonna be a power play card, but now it'll depend on if you have your EMZ emptied, or on if you have any Links too. Darj
Just occurred to me that Blasting Fuse could be a funny call if it can destroy monsters in the Extra Monster Zones. Regarding Instant Fusion, it should be as effective as usual. If you have no Link Monsters already, you can use it + another monster, or go for Norden, to make 1. Actually, you could say the card is more balanced by the new mechanics because you won't be able to play it if your already have a Link Monster, but its linked Zones are already occupied, preventing you from overextending. Master Hyperion
Naturia Beast, Naturia Barkion and Shi En becomes much more powerful again because even you can no longer spam your Synchros or other extra Deck monsters, 1st turn floodgates are still incredible powerful and even take advantage of the new rules because it becomes much more difficult to swarm the field with powerful monsters that can run those floodgates over. vla1ne
Norden will likely at some point end up being a 1-card Link Summon. It's right on the edge as it is.give it a week. a link 2 monster that needs 2 generic effect monsters will likely be out in the new starter deck or in the first booster, and once that happens, nroden will be back to his old shennanigans. as for cards that might work better, things like mind control should probably be looked after, since the ruling on them could break them. also summon limit terminal world,(i believe it's terminal world at least) and the like, since link summons are gonna be pretty much mandatory in ED decks, it just might become a far bigger threat than it was prior. as for things that work worse... unless it's called tributing for the link summon, dustons just got pretty much murdered. ~~~~
Reborn Tengu perhaps? Oh hey and the Mirror Forces (except Quacking and Dark) can make use of the fact that Link Monsters can't be changed to Defence Position.
