Xylor the Dragon Knight

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Call of the Dragon Knight." If a Dragon-Type or a Warrior-Type monster on your side of the field would be destroyed, it is not destroyed. You can only use this effect of "Xylor, the Dragon Knight" once per turn.

Call of the Dragon Knight

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Xylor, the Dragon Knight" from your hand, Deck, Graveyard or banished cards. You must also offer monsters you control or from your hand, Deck as Tribute, and/or banish monsters in your Graveyard, whose total Levels equal 7 or more.

One thing to note about this card is that you CANNOT Normal Summon a (Semi-) Nomi monster, or a card that is inherently Special Summon only. In this case, Rituals cannot be Normal Summoned. In some of the older video games, yes, you could do this but not in the actual game. As for the monster itself, the protection effect is fine, but I would recommend making it an optional effect so you have control over what you want to protect (and when you want to). It would require a slight text fix, but it can be done.

Ritual Spell isn't anything special, outside of it summoning from anywhere and basically can field the Tributes whenever you want them. Banishment zone is not an official term for banished cards, hence why the wording of "currently banished" is used. I also removed the condition thing from the Ritual Monster because you don't list where you summon it from; that's the Ritual Spell's job. Other than that, suppose it's okay.

As a whole, card is still searchable via Preparation of Rites so it has that going (well, can be searched/returned by it thereof).

Not to sound arrogant in correcting you, Sakura, but I believe the Ritual Spell would read "banished cards" not "currently banished"

I'm liking this - you can search it with Prep or Pre-Prep or even Dwarf Star Planeter Dragon or whatever its name is, the Spell does Deck thinning, usually a broken idea but screw that, it's Casuals, and the Monster provides Dragon/Warrior protection, which is a good choice of types. I'm seeing Gaia the Fierce Knight Decks being able to pull this off with regularity as most of the Archetype's monsters are Level 7, meaning only 1 tribute is necessary. Alternatively, a Dark Magician Deck based on Amulet Dragon of DMGtDK would probably appreciate this.

Curious, though - If I have Samsara on the Field, making all my Ritual Tributes shuffle back to the Deck, what happens when I Tribute a monster in the Deck? You could confuse people real bad with that, even though I'm fairly certain it doesn't reshuffle them back.

May need to double check on what the proper term for banished card is (as a location), but as I mentioned to the TC earlier, Banished/Banishment Zone isn't an official place. I changed the location to say "banished cards" (though I've seen some cards that do say "currently banished", or that might just be a convention we picked up in Custom Cards to simplify wording and deal with this issue).

[Will check YGOPro when I'm on my PC; using Chromebook right now (and Wikia's search function sucks for strings of texts)]

As for Samsara, I think the same rulings for Nekroz Kaleidomirror (whenever you send an ED monster to the Graveyard) apply in this case if you do mill from the Deck (same for Advanced Ritual Art). Samsara's current wording just says they are returned to the Deck, but where, it does not say (considering that card has not been reprinted for a good while). May need to ask evilfusion about this one; as much as I'd like to have a definitive answer available without having to consult him, there are some things that I don't know.

(Samsara's current ruling page is old; as in when Upper Deck had control)

Got a ruling from evilfusion earlier; right now, as-is, card is Tributing from the Deck (which currently isn't possible, and I assumed that Kaleidomirror / ARA rulings applied) so monsters sent from the Deck will probably go to the Graveyard regardless if Samsara exists.

That in mind, to make it so we can apply Kaleidomirror / ARA rulings, change the Deck Tributing to "send". (Also might need to refresh the wording, because I think I partially used the member's original wording, but it's outdated).

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Xylor, the Dragon Knight" from your hand, Deck, Graveyard or banished cards. You must also Tribute monsters you control or in your hand, send monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard, and/or banish monsters in your Graveyard whose total Levels equal 7 or more.

Yeah, that should do it. But that being said, TC hasn't even come on to respond to the critique...
