Exploring Possibilities of Links

This new summoning method holds a lot of possibilities. This is just kinda a dump for some of the ideas I had.

Most of these are less full-fledged cards and more 'what kinds of things would they play in the anime', but there are also full-fledged cards here.

Also don't comment on the names.

 

Null Link

Trap

Monsters on the field are treated as Unlinked for the rest of the turn.

Alternatively All Zones are treated as Unlinked for the rest of the turn.

Which, depending on rulings, may or may not make this a better dimensional barrier...

 

Link Zone

Equip Spell

When this card is activated, target 1 Link Monster on the field, other than the equipped monster. The equipped monster is treated as being Linked to that target.

 

Link Raigeki

Spell

Destroy all monsters in the Extra Deck Monster Zones.

Ban plz.

 

Link Hyperspace

Spell

Discard 1 card; all of your Monster Zones are treated as Extra Deck Monster Zones for the rest of the turn.

Needs better cost, yeah. Also ban plz.

 

Link Warp

Spell

Each player chooses 1 monster they control Linked to the same Link Monster, and switch control of those monsters.

Re-Link

Equip Spell

Target 1 Link Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it and equip it with this card. If this card leaves the field, destroy the equipped monster.

Link Overlord

Link 4, 3000, LIGHT, Fairy, Link

All monsters you control are treated as being Linked to this card. [insert effect here.]

 

Link Burst

Quick-Play Spell

Target 1 Link Monster on the field; destroy all monsters Linked to it.

Could easily be a trap or normal spell

 

Here are some actual cards. Actually you might as well have skipped to here.

 

Link Assassin

Rank 4, 1800/0, DARK, Cyber, Xyz

2 Level 4 monsters

While this card has Xyz Material, Link Monsters on the field cannot Tribute their Linked monsters to activate effects. If this card attacks an opponent's monster which is Linked to this card: This card's ATK becomes double its original ATK during damage calculation only. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster you control which is Linked to a Link Monster your opponent controls; this turn, if that target attacks that Link Monster, destroy that Link Monster at the start of the Damage Step.

 

Zone Pirate

Link 3, 2100, DARK, Cyber, Link, [V] (down)

summoning conditions: ?

If this card is Link Summoned to your Main Extra Deck Monster Zone, and your opponent's Main Extra Deck Monster Zone is unoccupied: You can Tribute this card; that Zone becomes yours until the End Phase.

Viability depends on rulings about whether you still control that monster in the zone after the end phase.

 

Double Connection

Continuous Spell

Target 2 Link Monsters that are Linked to each other. Neither target can be destroyed by battle or by card effects while the other target is face-up on the field (even if this card leaves the field). Once per turn, during either player's Battle Step, if 1 of those targets battles a monster: You can make the other target's ATK 0, and if you do, the first target gains ATK equal to its original ATK. These changes last until the end of the Damage Step.

 

Zone Hopper

Level 5, 1500/2300, WATER, Aqua, Synchro

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

If this card is Summoned: You can move this card to another one of your Monster Zones. Once per turn, if you Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster: You can move it to an adjacent Monster Zone. If this card is used as Synchro Material: You can draw 1 card.

So y'all can stop complaining about Quasar being dead.
