Uh, wouldn't this lead to duel draws, something Konami isn't cool with, judging from the ban of Self-Destruction Button? IDK, it could get silly by building decks around this and mass LP burn, payment, etc. to effectively force duel draws. Granted, as a Trap it cannot be used on Turn 1 so no FTK shenanigans, but still, clever players find their way into pseudo-OTKs.

Then again, Simochi/Reficule decks do something like that except that they win rather than lead to a draw, so this card would be fine for casuals and messing with the opponent.

In short, this would be an annoying card, but not broken IMO. There are cards out there which are equally annoying, such as "Chain Energy", and yet are allowed at 3, so this would be fine, too.

inb4 playing 4 "Dark Contract" cards in D/Ds and force the opponent to pay 2000 LP during your next Standby Phase.

But seriously now, some semi-competitive plays you could with this is forcing the opponent to pay half the LP for your Soul Charge revival, Solemn Traps, Ties of Brethren, etc.

By the way, how would this interact with costs and effects that halve LP (e.g. A Hero Lives)? Would both player's LPs be halved in that case?

Appreciate your time and critique!

Yes Konami dislikes draws, and this card could very much lead into one (rather quickly too), however, compare to self destruct button, it's not an instant draw. It's also a continuous ring of destruction, kind of. Initially, I only wrote it to have players be affected from damage, but I then decided to include anything involved w/LP. As for it's interaction with halving a player's life, through my logic and assumption, it would half the respective player's LP.

I think you can get around the Draw concept by playing a Burn deck based on D/D/D Rebel King Leonidas, who ensures you take no effect damage, eliminating the backlash of burning your opponent, since the preventative effect of Leonidas isn't shared between both players, so it should be just fine.
