Ghost Reaper - I agree with Black on this one. This doesn't promote clever play; it just promotes running an opponent's ace ED monster card to screw them over in the side game. Level Eater - I mean, it's a silly card Skill Drain / Vanity's Emptiness - The overall opinion I have of these cards is that, at 1 apiece, they're hard to plan for and it ends up creating absolute BS losses unless you open a certain card. With these cards, they're either at 3 so you can build around them or expect them to appear, or they're at 0. Having either at 1 just creates too many bullshit losses because you just weren't lucky. True King VFD - Speaking of one-card bullshit wins... Kaijus - Kaijus were a mistake. Cost as removal should not be a thing. Especially with how important Link Monsters will be for a field, these honestly just need to go. Dragon Rulers - With the Extra Deck use limited, I feel like the amount of extremely silly shenanigans these cards can accomplish is decreased, not to mention how far the game has progressed in terms of potency. I considered hitting the babies as well, but I'm not sure how worth it it is to run the babies while their respective papa's are at 1. Performages - These cards lose some potency with the introduction of Link Summons, and it's probably for the better. Reborn / Avarice - Either card is fine to come back to 1. They're good, but not particularly abusable. Demise - Honestly, I wasn't sure how I felt about this, but in light of other cards I'm taking off the list I felt it might be better to put this one on just in case. Construct / Chain - With the ED Zone limitations, either card loses some potency with how more restrictive their respective fields become. Zoodiacs - The idea here isn't necessarily to kill the deck, but to reduce the potency of the engine. I get some of the reasoning on why people want them around, but regardless I'm not a fan of how almost required a deck is to run these as an engine. Keep them playable and decent, but for pete's sake make them less prevalent. Qliphorts - The Great Unbannening. So fun fact, Towers doesn't have a perfect immunity clause. Sure it does against Spell and Trap effects, but his immunity for monsters only extends to the activated effects of level/rank 9 or lower monsters. To put this into perspective, Link monsters lack a level or rank. They are not level/rank 0; they lack a level or rank entirely. This means Towers is affected by all Link Monster effects. Considering how much Link monsters will probably be run, I feel like Towers is going to lose a lot of potency in a new meta. As for Scout and Saqlifice; the deck takes a hit with the pendulum changes. They are incapable of summoning other cards, so no Link Monsters to expand how many Pendulums they can summon from the ED, which puts a higher cost on their tribute summon capabilities. Combine this with my previous hits towards floodgates and I feel like this archetype is free to be, well, free. Graff- lmao BA's are literally unplayable with Link Rules Mathematician - Bring mah boi back >:/ Draco Face-Off - Aforementioned restrictions on pendulums make this card a lot friendlier to use. Victory Dragon was banned because it caused seemingly unresolvable ruling arguments over sportsmanship vs the right to surrender. How do you resolve these issues? And if these issues are resolved, what is your argument for Limiting it rather than simply taking it off the list entirely, considering how bad the card is? Most Kaiju engines run more than 1 of each Kaiju, and they need more than 1 to run Slumbering. The idea is like, they either get a lucky removal, or a Dark Hole and then no more tributes.
