Generic Summoning is going to be a huge thing in the future for Link Summoning, this card can just instantly make a decent LINK-2, it being EARTH and Warrior helps a lot too for Synchro Summoning. It's a little powercreepy, if anything, but that's just VRAINS in general, seemingly, and they've been innocuous about it. It isn't astounding, but it's certainly not bad, considering Links and Synchros exist. TRASH.With this logic last strix would be terrible as well, though it is the basic argument why any Raptor is reachable with 2 cards.And this logic would also lead to the assumption that cards like junk synchron would be trash. This card is completely generic and allows any deck with level 4 or monsters to quickly assemble 2 monsters to Link Summon ... not only that, it is also an earth, so it can go into the arguably best link monster revealed thus far.The genericness of the card grants it a good chance to age rather well.As for a (most likely) pack filler it is quite interesting. That said, it is still a super good card.the fact that it doesn't restrict use of itself or the revived monster is awesome, opening up synchro plays as well as supporting the new link mechanic. You get a token off the summon, which just kinda goes into the main use of this card of "You revive stuff that floats when it's used as a material". notcleverusername Posted April 1, 2017 Report Share Posted April 1, 2017 If reading correctly, basically just means that unlike Dandylion/etc applications where you're made to run dead draw engine pieces, Mauled Captain/Cyberse Gadget interaction just means that they both are live in hand with each other. Also, just checked to make sure, but Mauled Captain is also live with itself so that's convenient. Brilliant Fusion application mainly notable because you can take Seraphinite out of your Extra Zone by turning it into Missus Radiant, which leaves you with Cyberse Gadget as another material for w/e applications.
