I think the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney anime should continue

Recommended Posts

I was happy that Phoenix Wright got an anime, albeit based on the first two games and the first case of the second game was cut out. So why not capitalize on it?

I mean, why stop at Farewell my Turnabout, as lackluster as the ending was.

I just want to hear everyone's opinion on the matter, but I think that Capcom or whoever was in charge of the anime to make more based on these games.

For example, the final case of the original game: Rise of the Ashes should be an anime movie. After all, it feels like a movie, though due to length, maybe the movie can be split into three parts, though it might be heavily edited.

An OVA of The Forgotten Turnabout, where Phoenix Wright defends Maggie Byrde who is on trial for the murder of Dustin Prince, while he has Amnesia. I imagine it would be 30  minutes in length.

A third season, Trials and Tribulations, where we see anime versions of the cases from said game. However the order will be much different.

Turnabout Beginnings will be the first episode. I for one think would be a good start. The anime has made the series livelier. Like both Phoenix and Maya looking scared when the judge was scared of Von Karma. I imagine near the end of the episode, Terry Fawles will cough up so much blood it will splatter on the courtroom floor and Mia and Edgeworth would stand in shock. Then with a soulless stare, Fawles thanks Armando for the coffee and dies.

Next would be an aftermath episode with lots of events in between during that one year. Edgeworth gets scolded by Franziska who is standing in for Manfred, who is too angry to even look at him. Dahlia Hawthorne is interviewed by Diego Armando, who gets poisoned by her. She calls in Iris, who gets her hair painted the same color as Dahlia's and meets Phoenix Wright. Mia is sitting in her chair, in shock, with a blank look on her face, not moving, eating or sleeping, after hearing about Diego's condition. During the college segment, Iris is reprimanded by Dahlia, with the latter slapping the former on the cheek and decides to get the pendant back herself. Iris returns to the temple and washes away the red hair dye. On a fateful day Wright and Swallows confronted each other about Dahlia, Wright pushes Swallows, and you know the rest. Near the end of the episode Mia gets a call from Marvin Grossberg and Maya answers. Maya tells Mia that a man named Phoenix Wright is being charged for the murder of Doug Swallow and he says they were arguing over Dahlia Hawthorne. Upon hearing this name, Mia boils with rage, her teeth gnashing, her fist clenched, she gets off her chair, grabs the phone from Maya and says "I'll Take the case!" and hangs up. After getting something to eat, Maya heads to the courthouse and says to herself: "Dahlia, you won't get away from me this time. This is for Diego, for Terry, and for everyone you murdered. Dahlia Hawthorne, it's time you pay for your crimes."

I know it sounds like I'm writing my own fan-fiction here but the anime had a thirteenth episode no one expected: A look at the childhoods of Phoenix, Miles and Larry before and after DL-6. Kudos to them for that.

Episode three is Turnabout Memories. I think it would be funny to see young Phoenix get struck with lightning the moment Dahlia dumps him, and there would be a moment in present day when the PIC inducts it's newest member: Godot.

Episodes 4-6 would be Stolen Turnabout with the final moments of 6 leading up to Recipe for Turnabout.

Episodes 7-9 would in fact be Recipe for Turnabout, with the final moments of episode 9 being in the cell of Morgan Fey, who opens her eyes and says: "It is time." after sipping some tea, and panning over to a newspaper article about the death of Dahlia Hawthorne.

Episodes 10-13 will be Bridge to the turnabout. Who would not want to see Maya Fey's exorcism animeized. To further add insult to her injury, the spirits of Terry Fawles and Doug Swallow appear before Dahlia's spirit to grab her, then Valerie Hawthorne's spirit comes in and says:

"Your crimes have finally caught up to you. Now you shall pay the ultimate price: live forever in failure, as your spirit is now scattered to OBLIVION!"

And Mia says "Morgan Fey may have saved you from the shackles of death before, but it won't happen again. NEVER AGAIN!"

And Dahlia's spirit is disntegrated. Mia looks at the spirit of Valerie and Valerie says: "I'm sorry I didn't come to you." and Terry's spirit says: "I'm sorry about before." before passing on. And near the end of the trial is this little snippit: Phoenix and the spirit of Maya Fey do this:

Phoenix: The only pace you

Mia's Spirit: Could hide a dagger wound

They both point at Godot

Phoenix and Mia's Spirit: IS BEHIND YOUR MASK!

Then the mask blows off revealing his face, the dagger wound and blood trickling down his cheek from his forehead. We also get an anime flashback about the day Godot woke up in the hospital after his coma with his vision screwed up and reading an article saying Mia Fey is dead and Phoenix Wright solved the case. A good reaction was if he threw a cup of coffee at the window in rage.

And in the ending, Phoenix asks the guard to have Iris on temporary leave, and they, along with Maya and Pearl, confront Morgan Fey in her prison. Of course Morgan is shocked to see Maya alive. Iris also has a message from the Kurain village elders: "You are hereby exiled from Kurain village for the murder of Misty Fey." Mia, whom Pearl is channeling, also tells Morgan that Pearl has renounced her claim to the position of head of the channeling technique, and both she and Iris have disowned her as their mother. Morgan reacts the way anyone would expect:

She yells at Phoenix saying everything that happened is his fault, she does not want to see any of them again, throws one of her candles at phoenix, which Mia catches and orders them to get out of her cell. After they leave Morgan trashes her cell and breaks down in crying laughter, since nothing matters to her anymore.

Again, this may sound like I'm writing my own fan-fiction, but it could happen in the anime, if it continues.

Of course this is speculation on my part but this would be a good move for Capcom to continue the anime, and this is just a start.

Next would be everyone's least favorite game:  Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney.

Here I see this about 12, 13 episodes long. The first case Turnabout Trump being a two parter. Like the start of the first episode, we see Apollo getting to work. And before the trial, Kristoph would pt his shoulder and Apollo would scream so loud he'd shatter anything made of glass in the courtroom. And during the trial we would see Olga Orly perform some card tricks.

After that is the second case. I imagine there would be some funny moments like Apollo standing in fear of Wocky Kitaki's dad, Winfred. I imagine this would be three episodes in length.

Third trial, Turnabout Serenade. About 3 episodes in length.

Turnabout Succession is 5 episodes in length. Episode 1 is where Apollo and Trucy investigate the crime scene and talk to the client. Episode 2 is the trial, and at the end Vera succumbs to poison. Episode 3 is the trial that ended Phoenix's career, including a scene where Phoenix lays down his badge and the high inquisitor says "Mia Fey would be so disappointed in you." Episode 4 is the time travel segment and the final one is where Kristoff is proven guilty of his involvment of the whole thing. With a little epilogue of Phoenix Wright retaking the bar exam, Vera being a legit artist, and Apollo about to take on his next case. And there is another part where, while in Europe, Phoenix Wright meets Athena Cykes. I imagine it would go something like this:

Phoenix finds a device on the floor and thinks it's a cell phone. It goes off and Athena comes barging in  to grab it.

So, thoughts on whether or not this could be a thing? let me know.

Also, who here thinks it would be hilarious if Sorin Sprocket told Ellen Wyatt their marriage is off and she's fired and then Phoenix and Maya turn the defendant side into a boat and Ellen cries so much she floods every room in the courthouse?

Give it to another studio while we're at it.

Like the one that made the cutscenes for the games? I'd be all for that. Seemed to have the best art.

Give me some sales data for the PW anime and we'll see if it's likely to get a new season.

I don't know where to find that. But fans like the anime, so why not?
