[spoiler=Teaser- The Last Hope]"They've broken through the second firewall!"

"What?! Already?!" Even though his face was completely obscured behind his armored mask, Seraphimon's tone gave away just how desperate the situation was. They were running out of time, and he knew it. "Grademon, do whatever you can to slow them down. We're depending on you."

"We will buy you all the time we can. Make it count!" With that, the monitor went dead as Grademon signed off. Seraphimon knew he would never see his comrade, the Digimon he'd fought alongside since the darkest of times, again, but there was little time for grief. Quickly, he set about making the final preparations. Six capsules, each loaded with their precious cargo, were arrayed around the innermost chamber of the pyramid. The six D-Cipher Digivices, all he'd been able to complete out of a planned nine, were all that stood between the digital world and annihilation. There were no prophecies this time; no grand destiny, no digidestined fated to appear, no guarantee that all of this would even work. All Seraphimon had was the hope that maybe, just maybe, history would repeat itself.

Hastily, the angel Digimon entered the digicode password into the pyramid's mainframe computer, sending what little power remained in the structure to the ancient modem hidden withing the pyramid's stonework. This relic from a bygone era was one of the last of its kind: a device that could, for a brief time, connect the digital world to the internet. With luck, the connection would last long enough to upload all six Digivices. He hit the execute key, and in the opposite corner of the chamber the first of the capsules began to pixelate as its data slowly left the digital world, bound for the internet, and hopefully its discovery by a worthy human child.

The pyramid shuddered, indicating that the enemy had breached the structure. There wasn't enough time. Seraphimon took one last look around, then began making his way outside, locking the chamber down behind him. Now, there was only one thing left to do.

The stonework began to cave in as the bombardment from outside penetrated deeper and deeper into the pyramid. At last, a ray of sunlight shown through the dust and the rubble, and through the hole in the pyramid's facade the enemy's champion entered.

"Gundramon."

The horrid amalgamation of firearm and dragon said nothing, its scylon optics instead taking on a reddish hue. Seraphimon didn't wait. The angel charged, tackling Gundramon and launching the both of them into the jungles surrounding the pyramid.

Even if it cost him his life, he'd buy enough time. He had to.

[spoiler=Rules & Info]First and foremost, all YCM and RP section rules apply. That means no powerplaying, godmodding, etc. You know, obvious things that you should have read already. If you haven't, go do it. This OOC can wait. Secondly, before you apply I expect you to have read this section in its entirety, as well as the rest of this opening post, to familiarize yourself with the RP. Lastly, my word, as well as any co-host I may have, is law in here. What we say goes, up to and including expulsion from the RP and denial of applications, and that is final.

Now, with that out of the way, welcome. Digimon: Solid State is in no uncertain terms a love letter to the Digimon franchise, taking inspiration from the first five anime series and focusing on a group of Digivice-wielding youngsters and their Digimon partners. That isn't to say it's entirely derivative, however, as I've made sure to put my own spin on both the mythos of the digital world as well as the tropes present in the franchise. Combine that with some ideas of my own invention, and hopefully this RP will be able to capture even a fraction of the heart and soul that made the anime such a wonderful and beloved childhood memory for me. I hope you enjoy it.

Before we get started, however, there are a few things to note. First, this is a PG-16 RP, and though that usually entails the most graphic depictions of sex and violence that are allowed on YCM, the rating is really there so that we simply have the option to do so if and when it is ever needed. Though the RP's tone is by no means as light as, say, Digimon Adventure, its safe to assume that events in the RP won't get much more depressing or graphic than those of Digimon Tamers, and you should write with that in mind. Second, because of the darker tone, it would be best if the core cast of the RP were teenagers, preferably between 14 and 17 years old, as opposed to the usual younger age of most digimon casts. Speaking of cast members, it should be noted that partner digivolution will be following a template that is similar to both Digimon Tamers and Digimon Adventure, with the cast's partner Digimon digivolving from rookie to champion, unlocking an as of yet unrevealed "upgrade" to their digivices to reach ultimate, and using this "upgrade" as well as the bond between partner and human to Biomerge to mega. Like Digimon Savers (season 5, for those not in the know) the cast will also be able to access a -mode transformation beyond mega. More detail on all of that as the plot progresses, though. While Solid State isn't limited acceptance, I'm aiming to keep the RP as small as possible to ease the burden of hosting and posting. As such, I will be taking on a maximum of 5 other RPers, assuming there's that much interest. Apps will be vetted for quality, but the slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis, assuming I get more than 5 applicants to begin with. Applicants will be limited to one core cast member, but may apply with any amount of additional supporting characters they see fit, be they NPCs or what have you. Once you've been accepted into the RP, you may feel free to apply with additional supporting characters at any time, which will be subject to a similar screening process as the core cast. Lastly, Solid State will be structured like a television anime series, with the story segmented into episodic chapters denoted by my or another RPer's use of the OP and Ed in an IC post and the use of a title card.

[spoiler=Setting]Digimon: Solid State takes place... right now!

Well, not exactly, but it does take place in the year 2017. Planet Earth in the Solid State universe is virtually identical to the world we live in, right down to its history, cultures, and geography. Arguably the only difference between our world and the world of Solid State is the existence of the Digital World (sometimes called Digiworld by its inhabitants) and the Digimon that live in it.

So what's Digiworld like, then? Well, that's a difficult question to answer in simple terms.

Solid State's Digital World in many ways resembles the digital world depicted in Digimon Adventure. Biomes are seemingly randomly arranged (though terrain tends to lean more toward a tropical climate than a temperate or cold one), and whatever architecture is present is equally ad-hoc, ranging from ancient pyramids to modern cities and everything in between (and its often mixed together in strange ways, too, such as the pyramid with the internet connection depicted in the teaser above). In short, at first glance the Digital World's layout seems, well... batshit insane, especially to a human who's never been there before.

There's a reason for it all though. See, the digital world came into being piecemeal, as an aggregate of sorts based on human user data and internet traffic. Older sections of digiworld reflect this, being composed of more varied types of structures and terrain that came into being as the digital world expanded. Time works differently in the Digital World as well. Though its only been in existence for about 25 years in real world time, to those who live there, thousands of years have passed, meaning that anyone from the real world who travels to the digital world, even for only a few minutes, may end up spending months or even years there before returning home.

And what of the inhabitants? Unlike the digital world itself, Digital Monsters (almost always referred to as Digimon) were the deliberate creations of the digital world's "god": the artificial intelligence referred to as Yggdrasil. Though the origins of Yggdrasil itself are unknown (some digimon suspect that it came into being rather spontaneously on the internet, while others claim that Yggdrasil was itself programmed by a human) it was Yggdrasil that created the first Digimon in order to populate the digital world, and gave its creations free will and the ability to evolve with time (a process known as digivolving). Afterward, Yggdrasil went dormant, encasing itself within a massive tree at the center of the digital world. This World Tree (which gets its name from Yggdrasil) keeps the digital plane stable, and allows it to grow at a steady rate along the lines of its roots.

Since Yggdrasil became the World Tree in times immemorial (the year 1998 in the real world), the digital world has grown and expanded, both literally and culturally. The Digimon have developed their own societies, complete with culture, written language (known as digicode) and oral history. Some digimon took it upon themselves to safeguard the world tree and the digital world as a whole, while others sought to conquer it and enslave their fellows. Eventually, Digiworld became as rich and varied, if not moreso, than the real world which had given birth to it, all with humanity at large being completely unaware of its existence.

[spoiler=Plot]Once upon a time, a great sage received a series of visions of the future, and recorded this prophecy as a warning for future generations.

The prophecy told of a digital world engulfed in flames, of a great seven legged monster that would bring ruin to all, and of the Digidestined: Human children who would come to the digital world, wielding magical digivices, and save it from destruction. Some scoffed, some became afraid, but in time, most of the Digital World forgot about the prophecy.

Then, in 2013, our time, it all came true.

Exactly as the sage from long ago had predicted, too. The Seven Great Demon lords: the digital incarnations of the 7 deadly sins, emerged from the dark area and came together to form the ultimate evil: Ogudomon, who proceeded to unleash its minions on the digital world. Then, from the trunk of the world tree, emerged the seven digivices and soon the digidestined arrived in the digital world to claim them, and the powers of digivolution they granted. It was a long and difficult fight, but eventually the digidestined, their partner digimon, and their allies were able to turn the tide and defeat Ogudomon. The prophecy had come true, and peace at last came to the digital world.

Or so everyone thought.

In the wake of Ogudomon's defeat and the departure of the digidestined, the seven partner digimon banded together to form Network Security: and organization dedicated to keeping the digital world safe. At first, Network Security seemingly had little to do. The digital world was peaceful and what conflicts did occur were swiftly resolved. However, unbeknownst to its saviors, an even greater threat to the digital world was stirring; pulling strings and putting a diabolical plan into motion.

It started off small at first. Network Security agents would go missing, only to turn up later with total memory loss, muttering incoherently about something called the "Solid State". Then, the mysterious disappearances became more frequent, and spread to members of the general populace. Soon, the victims failed to return altogether, and despite Network Security's best efforts, no evidence as to their cause or the whereabouts of the victims could be ascertained.

Then, whole settlements seemingly vanished, buildings and all, only to be replaced by strange, cubic structures with no discernible entrance or exit. The cubes began showing up all over the digital world, and, like the abductees before, anyone who came into contact with them would suffer memory loss, save for the phrase "Solid State". Though Network Security attempted to destroy the cubes, their efforts were unsuccessful, and they were forced to quarantine them. Still, their investigations turned up nothing, but with the incidents escalating, it was obvious that a storm was brewing.

Then, they struck.

Zhuqiaomon, one of the four Sovereigns (the de facto rulers of the digital world, each in control of one quarter of the digital plane, separated along compass points) was the first to fall. Heralded by the appearance of flying fortress Gigaseadramon, legions of machine digimon, many seemingly created by modifying those that had been abducted, emerged from the cubes and fell upon Zhuqiaomon's southern domain. The great phoenix himself was soon slain in battle, and in the aftermath the entire southern region fell into disarray, chaos, and anarchy.

Realizing the magnitude of the threat, Seraphimon, the leader of network security and the only member of the original seven partner digimon to have naturally attained his mega form, set into motion a desperate plan. With assistance from Vulcanusmon, the greatest smith in all of the digital world, he designed the D-Cipher: a Digivice based on the seven used by the digidestined long ago. Though Seraphimon originally planned to create nine D-Ciphers, the Solid State (as the inhabitants of digiworld had begun to call the invading machines) caught wind of his plans, and launched an all-out assault on Network Security's forces after Seraphimon had only completed six.

When the dust settled, Network Security was all-but annihilated. Their sacrifice, however, had not been in vain.

The six D-Ciphers were successfully uploaded to the internet, each found and unlocked by a Human child the device considered worthy. Upon activation, each digivice opened a digital gate, transporting its owner to the digital world, and to the location of the digimon most suited to being their partner.

And so, against all odds, it begins again. Led by their digivices, the digidestined and their partner digimon have come together at the same pyramid where their digivices were uploaded. It is here that, supposedly, Seraphimon awaits their arrival, but between the ruins and the smoldering rubble, something seems amiss....

[spoiler=The D-Cipher Digivice]2a8DQQ2.png
Based on the original digivices created by the World Tree, the D-Cipher improves on its predecessor in almost every way. Like the original, it comes equipped with a digimon analyzer, and can keep track of the partner digimon's vital signs and statistics. In addition, however, the D-C (as it is sometimes called in passing) also possesses the ability to compress and download data, allowing items to be stored within it for easy access.

Each D-Cipher's screen ring is inscribed with a passphrase, or cipher (hence the name), unique to the individual digivice. Each Cipher is a single word verb, or verb phrase, and the digicode characters on the digivice are specially inscribed runes. This code must be translated in order for the digivice to function, however since most humans do not know how to read digicode naturally, a special quality (either instinctual knowledge of digicode, some sort of personal connection to the cipher, or simply dumb luck) is necessary in order to unlock it.

Each D-Cipher also contains a hollow slot above the screen, similar in design to the port for an SD card, presumably for some kind of expandable memory.

Personal Information

Name: Jason "Jay" Russo

Age: 16

Gender: Male

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance]
o3lNX1d.jpg
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 158 lbs

Depicted above is Jason's general clothing appearance, with the exception of the white shirt having its sleeves rolled up past the elbow, to allow him more freedom to move his arms around. Pants wise, rather than the dress slacks that are depicted, Jason tends to wear a pair of black jeans with a pair of sneakers on his feet to match his style. Also it goes without saying, but the fedora Jason wears never leaves his person, except when he absolutely needs to take the hat off.

Aside from clothing, Jason's general appearance is shown, with his spiky brown hair. His eyes a bit more of a caramel color, but the rest of him is just as depicted above.

x393wz.jpg
[spoiler=Personality]
Jason is an energetic young man, always doing his best achieve something everyday. Whether its hitting a home run and one day breaking his own record, or being thrust into saving a world (totally hypothetical mind you), he'll give everything he has into it, trying his best to accomplish it with his own hands. Along with this, Jason is always ready to try and help a person in need if the situation arises, even to go as far as making suggestions and giving advice. However, Jason's one flaw happens to be that he tends to want to things by himself, and only by himself. This tends to make things more difficult in relation to working in groups or as a team. He's reckless and will jump into a situation, regardless of what it happens to entail.

Jason tends to get along well with his mother, though he wishes his father would come back home. Not seeing him for eight years does tend to make Jason get worried about the old man. However, he usually keeps his mind off his problems by practicing his baseball swings. He's said that this calms his nerves and keeps his mind focused on one thing rather than it running around like a madman.

[spoiler=Biography]
"Buona dolore...and to think I had a game before this happened."

Jason Russo was born in Amsterdam, New York to an American mother and Italian father, making him half Italian and half American. He grew up with two different cultures, though the former was more of a melding pot of other cultures...but it was still amazing to Jason nonetheless. When he was younger, he always wanted to know if he was related to any type of mafia boss, though the answer was always no. Though a disappointing answer, Jason didn't mind it, that just meant that later on in his future he wouldn't have to be worried about being drafted into being a mafioso.

Regardless, as he grew up Jason made a few friends here and there, but as with all things, they either moved away or ended up getting new friends. Surprisingly, Jason just kept making friends, not caring if they would either move or leaving him for new friends. He always tried to look on the positives. However, things got a bit difficult for Jason when he started picking up sports, baseball to be more precise. As he played, he usually tried to do everything by himself and quickly became a big hit in his local school team, although the rest of the team hated him for this attitude of his. When he was going to his biggest game, Jason found out that his father had to go over to Italy for work related issues. He then left Jason with his favorite fedora and left him with his mother...that night he didn't do as well on the baseball game as he hoped.

Eight years passed and without hearing from his father much, Jason became a little worried, but he knew he'd be fine. He promised him that he'd come back, especially when he'd make it to the playoffs and win the championship, and this was the year that was looking towards that direction. However, before he could, as he was preparing to text his father, he came in contact with his D-Cipher and was transferred into the Digital World...

Jason's Theme | Battle Theme

  • Jason's name means the following: Jason - A Greek name meaning "healer". Russo - This is a common Sicilian surname, one that historically denotes nobility.
  • Jason's appearance is based off of Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada of "Katekyo Hitman Reborn". In all honesty, it was hard to find a guy with a fedora, so this was the end result of the search.
  • The D-Cipher's color, orange, is small reference that goes hand in hand with the character Jason's appearance is of. In the anime/manga, Tsuna's corresponding color happens to be orange. In all honesty, an orange Digivice sets it apart from others...plus its becoming my favorite color.
  • Jason has a habit of slipping into speaking Italian sometimes, especially when he's upset.
  • The quote Jason has in the beginning of the app is the Italian equivalent of: "He who laughs last, laughs longest."

x393wz.jpg
[spoiler=Personality]
Shamanmon, at their core, are an all-seeing Digimon who can do a ceremonial dance and use their magical clubs to see into the future. However, with this in mind, Guan is an exception to this. While still being relatively new to the Shamanmon game, Guan is unable to see into the future by doing these ceremonial dances and using the club. Because of this, he is very touchy if someone mentions this or reminds him of this small detail.

Aside from that, Guan is quick to get angry or agitated. Even if he's a Shamanmon, he's still similar to the Goblimon in some shape or fashion. However, this is very obviously shown if its mentioned that he can't see the future like the other Shamanmon, or even if people call him a Goblimon by mistake. However, when he's calm and collected, he's actually a nice 'mon to talk to. He also has a strong connection with his club and prefers that no one takes it or messes with it, this including his own partner.

In a fight, Guan lets it all out and does what he can to fight with everything he has. However, he does tend to have at least some plan going in...even if its run in and hit them as hard as he can with his club.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Biography]

Guan grew up like a normal Shamanmon, if you call having your mother be a traitorous Digimon who almost sold the clan of Shamanmon she was a part of to a grew of powerful Digimon, normal. In truth, Guan had a difficult life growing up, being looked down on just because of his mother's stupid and deadly mistake, one that ended up getting herself killed. Nevertheless, Guan ended up working harder than his peers just to prove himself better than his mother.

Over the course of time he was able to prove himself a better Digimon than his mother and actually gained the respect of the clan. However, after all this work, Guan would soon find himself being drafted, so to speak, into being partnered up with a human by Seraphimon. Seeing this as an opportunity to prove himself even further, Guan accepted and was sent off with a D-Cipher to find his human...which he found and brought back a young fedora wearing boy.

Guan's Theme | Battle Theme | Digivolution Theme

  • Guan's name is a shortened version of another name: Guangwu. This name is a reference to the last Digimon evolution that is given, Gankoomon. Gankoomon is a reference to the Chinese Emperor of the Han Dynasty: Emperor Guangwu.
  • Another name that was thought of for Guan was the name "Jareth", which of course was a reference to the Goblin King from "Labyrinth". This was a play on the fact that Shamanmon and Goblimon look alike.
  • Guan's Mega evolution, Gankoomon, was selected on the fact that it worked well with Shamanmon's Ultimate: Gokuwmon, in terms of both being from the Chinese culture.

[spoiler=Hayden Mcguinnes]

Name: Hayden Mcguinnes

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Digimon Partner: Hope

[spoiler=Digivice Info]

VakzDsW.png

[spoiler=Appearance]

iq9TZu8.jpg

Hayden is a rather slender boy, but what he lacks in weight he makes up for in height.  He stands at a tall six foot two, towering over his mother, but just under his father.  He has dark blue hair, and a pale complexion.  His eyes are jet black, and very thin, giving him an eerie look, or one that would be associated with some sort of trouble maker.  He can usually be seen wearing a sort of black bulky vest over a purple striped t-shirt, where he leaves the zipper hanging almost halfway down the line.  To compliment his upper attire, he wears a pair of cargo shorts.  Around his neck her wears a lace attached to some sort of digital device, containing a sprite image on a screen.

[spoiler=Personality]

Although Hayden looks like a typical problem child, he is anything but.  While he tends to keep to himself most of the time, it doesn't stop him from doing good deeds whenever he is able.  Due to his height, he is now the neighborhood expert in getting pet cats out of trees.  The kids tend to take a liking to him, rather than peers his age, but he doesn't mind that.  In his mind, if people didn't get along with him and how he was, than time shouldn't be wasted on them to try and make them a 'friend'.  Even though Hayden is a gentle and kind soul, he is a pessimist in the highest degree.  He follows Murphy's Law to a tee, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.  His glass is always half empty, and when he looks at crowds of people, he can't help but analyze them and find their faults.  In this sense, Hayden is rather picky about who he lets into his life.

Hayden's relationship with his parents is rather great as well.  His distant relatives would often jump to say that he was a Mama's boy.  While Hayden wouldn't necessarily agree with that, he does tend to fawn over his mother rather than his father, seeing as how she is smaller than him by a long shot.  Hayden and his father don't necessarily hang out anymore, but Hayden's dad will usually watch him play video games for a time, while reminiscing about the good ol days without technology and hard labor and blah blah blah.

[spoiler=Biography]

Hayden was born in Ireland to a Irish father, and a Japanese mother.  He grew up with two different types of culture, jumping from chivalry to bushido almost all the time.  Growing up like this, Hayden became a very diverse individual, proud of his double sided heritage.  However, when it came to society, he couldn't help but feel that he always received weird stares from strangers, like they judged him everywhere they went.  It was hard on him as a kid, but he soon learned that this was just the way of humanity, and that he would have to cope with it.  The kids at school, however, were the worst offenders of treating him differently.  They always stole his lunch sack and hid it, or called him names.  Hayden didn't mind, bullying was just another tendency of youth.  He understood he was different, and so did his friend Alana.  She was the one who usually fond his lunch, and delivered it to him when the others wouldn't bother Hayden again.

Hayden and Alana grew up inseparable.  Always going out and playing games until the street lights turned off and the sky was lit with diamonds.  She always told him that things wouldn't be too bad, and that you had to look on the brighter side of things.  She then gave Hayden a toy that he hadn't seen since he was a small boy, a tomogachi like device that held a digimon inside.  Alana told him that whenever he felt bad, to just hold the device in his hand, and think of her, and everything would be okay.  However, when Alana moved to the United States before they started High School, Hayden couldn't help but think that there wouldn't be much of a bright side to things ever again.  Alana was the one person in the whole world that he was closest to, besides his parents of course.  A couple years passed, and the internet notifications started coming at a slower and slower rate.  It had been years since he spoke to Alana last.  His grades were slipping, and he barely went outside anymore to go save the local cats from trees.  It felt like his life had spiraled out of control, out of his own hands, and that fate was putting it's grimy hands all over the wheel.

Alana's words always rang out in his mind: "You have to look on the brighter side of things.  It'll get better.  Pinkie promise!"

With a smile, Hayden would type her a message while gripping onto that device from so long ago.

[spoiler=Personality]

Like most other Salamon, Hope is a rather cheerful and optimistic digimon.  She loves exploring and frolicking through tall grass.  Whenever she hears of a digimon in need, she is never inclined to pass up the chance to help someone in a desperate situation, no matter the dangers that are posed against her.  Thanks to this, she has gained a strong sense of justice in life.  She is calculating, and can get herself out of quite the pinch with pure wit alone.  She tends to be opposed to violence, and would rather dodge a fight and use her cute charms instead.  It goes without saying that Salamon is a very charitable digimon as well, often sharing fruits that it makes with other hungry, less fortunate digimon.

[spoiler=Biography]

Salamon grew up just like most digimon who are born.  One day, she just existed and came to terms with her own existence.  Among her group of child digimon friends, she was the most cheerful out of all of the others.  No matter how many times there nursery came under the attack of foreign enemies, mostly Tsukaimon and DemiDevimon, she would always stand her ground among the others, and repel the antagonizers.  After battles, she would go around and comfort those who were too afraid to fight, giving them words of solace and serenity, and also a hearty and healthy snack.  It was just in her nature to try and lighten the mood.  After a pep talk, a digimon that was too afraid to fight would then stand their ground as well in the next bout against invaders.  The nursery digimon all agreed that she was their rallying point, a digimon they could get behind.  She gave them hope.  She accepted the burden, and named herself that which she gave to her nursery mates, Hope!

What do you mean by cipher? It's been a while since I saw the animated series.

Oh right you're not in the skype chat (PM me your info if you'd like me to add you).

A cipher is something I made up for this RP. Its a digicode passphrase inscribed on the digivice. It should have some sort of significant meaning to your character, since knowing it (either intrinsically or guessing at it) allowed them to unlock the digivice in the first place. It'll also be important later on. I'll clarify further in the digivice section I plan on adding.

[spoiler=Takeru Kurosawa]PXXM9r6.jpg
"Just uhh... Let me see what I can do about it, ok? We'll think of something."
Name: Takeru Kurosawa
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Partner Digimon: Dracomon
[spoiler=Digivice info]AxcVUeF.png

Cipher: Connect

[spoiler=Physical description]wSYsYyF.jpg
At a glance, its very easy for an onlooker to determine that Takeru isn't an athlete, and moreover that he doesn't seem to partake in much physical activity at all. He's not short, but at 5' 8" he's not tall either, which isn't helped by the fact that Takeru is also rather thin. Despite having an average build, there is very little in the way of extra muscle mass or fat attached to his frame, which makes him appear smaller than he actually is. Though he is half-Japanese, Takeru's Caucasian heritage is much more prominent, to the point that he hardly looks Asian at all. His eyes are wide, jade colored orbs bordered by thick, long eyelashes, and his shaggy hair is a rather distinctive shade of brownish red. Takeru's soft facial features and pale complexion make him look quite effeminate, and though he is by no means unattractive, this lack of masculinity means that he is often described as "cute" or "adorable" rather than "handsome". Aside from his appearance, Takeru's most distinctive feature is the large mole on his right earlobe, which he often attempts to hide with his hair, with mixed success.

Takeru prefers comfortable, baggy clothing, usually sweatshirts and jeans. He wears a black and maroon hoodie with a dark colored shirt underneath, a pair of loose fitting black jeans, and a slightly worn pair of sneakers. He also wears a silver arrowhead shaped pendant around his neck, which was a gift from his mother.

[spoiler=Personality]A bit of a wallflower, Takeru is timid and somewhat moody. Perhaps in part due to his smaller stature, he doesn't tend to have very much presence, usually blending into the background and going more or less unnoticed by those around him, whether he wants to or not. Though Takeru is very intelligent, he has some difficulty communicating. He's often unable to properly express himself, and his nervousness usually gets the better of him. As a result, he often fumbles over his words and will occasionally stutter when extra-nervous or embarrassed. As well. Takeru's difficulty communicating is often exacerbated by a rather noticeable lack of self confidence, resulting in Takeru's sentences being peppered with little nuggets of self depreciation and topped off by an unwillingness to defend himself. This tends to gives others the somewhat inaccurate (though definitely not unfounded) impression that Takeu is a meek, bumbling wimp. Consequently, Takeru is often teased or picked on, whether maliciously or unintentionally, by his peers. Though he's grown accustomed to it, he hasn't quite learned how to shrug it off. In other words, Takeru takes insults and criticism to heart, and being made fun of noticeably affects his mood. When Takeru is sad or agitated, he tends to brood and retreat from others, rather than lashing out. Because of all this, Takeru tends to push others away, making it even more difficult for him to make friends and establish relationships, despite the fact that he's a very lonely young man, and wants nothing more than to have close friends and be loved by others.

Aside from his awkwardness, what stands out most about Takeru is his creativity. He's a very talented writer (though he's extremely hesitant to let anyone read what he writes, especially his fiction) with a ludicrously extensive vocabulary for a sixteen year old, and when he isn't fumbling over his words, he's capable of being both eloquent and insightful. Functionally speaking, he's great at thinking on his feet (a handy skill for crafting excuses to avoid stressful conversations), though his solutions to problems tend to be a bit unorthodox.

That being said, Takeru is, if nothing else, a very sweet young man. He's polite (but awkward), attentive (especially to the needs and desires of his friends), and is a generous, kind individual. Part of it of course stems from a desire for acceptance (Kill 'em with kindness, so his mother says), but there's also genuine altruism in the mix. Takeru very rarely holds a grudge, and it takes an awful lot of abuse to get him legitimately angry. On the flip side though, he can easily get overly attached to people, and his willingness to forgive and desire to see the good in those around him makes him quite gullible. Though that naivete can and has gotten him hurt in the past, Takeru's hesitant to stop putting his trust in others. Though his self image needs a lot of work, and he's often depressed, cynicism and apathy simply don't sit well with him. Quite the contrary, Takeru is a romantic, perhaps even optimistic to a fault. If he had his way, everyone would get along, and Takeru would be accepted (and hopefully admired) by his peers.

[spoiler=Biography]The only child of a well-off Japanese-American family, Takeru's childhood was rather unremarkable. His father, an executive at an electronics company, was often away on business, and as result, the two weren't and still are not particularly close with one another. Takeru's mother, on the other hand, doted on him, and he became something of a momma's boy, though as he entered puberty this lessened somewhat.

Though he was always shy and awkward, Takeru's social problems only seemed to worsen when his family permanently relocated to Japan four years ago. Despite the fact that he grew up speaking both English and Japanese at home, he still had a good deal of trouble adapting to his new environment. Being the new kid (and not being outgoing) made him few friends, and his thanks to his awkwardness, as well as his small stature and boyish looks, he was often singled out by bullies. Consequently Takeru tended to gravitate to less social hobbies, cultivating an interest in anime and fantasy novels and frequenting online fora, where he began to roleplay and write fiction.

The exception to the rule, however, is his friend Yurika Isshuin. Something of a kindred spirit, the two met online, and through pure coincidence (they bumped into each other in the hallway while conversing over a chat client) discovered that the person they'd been talking to online for several months attended the same high school. Though it took a bit of explaining to get Takeru to understand that "Eureka-chan" was not exactly who she seemed to be (including a lecture about what exactly being a transgender individual entails, and swearing Takeru to secrecy regarding her alter ego), the two became close friends afterward. Ever since, Yurika has been a constant source of encouragement for Takeru (though she often teases him). She's also Takeru's designated proofreader, and one of (if not the) only people in real life whom he'll willingly show his writing to. Conversely, Takeru seems to be one of the few people Yurika can open up to, and consequently he's often the first to hear about it when something legitimately bothers her or she has big news.

As luck would have it, Yurika and Takeru were sucked into the digital world at the same time, and the two happened to meet up with one another shortly after meeting their partners. The group soon picked up a third pair of companions: Eileen Sheridan and Labramon, and have since begun traveling to the designated meeting place.

[spoiler=Misc. Info]Theme:

  • Takeru's palette isn't very refined. He can;t stand bitter food and prefers simpler dishes, usually sweet or flavorful.
  • Though he's insecure in general, a few of his larger sore spots include the mole on his ear and his boyish looks. He doesn't like being called cute.
  • Yuirka's pet name for him is "Ta-kun", which he actively dislikes being called.
  • Takeru's birthday is February 15th.

[spoiler=Dracomon]Name: Dracomon
"Just leave it to me. You couldn't handle this one yourself, anyway."
"Gender": Male
Digivolution Line: Petitmon>Babydmon>Dracomon>Coredramon(Blue)>Wingdramon>Slayerdramon
[spoiler=Physical Description]HxOtLsw.jpg
Dracomon for the most part resembles a typical example of his species (not that most have ever seen a Dracomon before). The only noteworthy difference is that Dracomon's right arm is wrapped in bandages, and he often wears a leather gauntlet over it. He's very hesitant to speak about why, even though his arm doesn't appear to be injured in any way, and he will under no circumstances let anyone touch his forearm intentionally.

[spoiler=Personality]Unlike his partner, Dracomon is more than willing to speak up, and he is in fact quite vocal. He is all at once charming, but bumbling, witty, yet dense, and chivalrous, but highly condescending.

Needless to say, he's complicated.

There are a number of reasons why Dracomon is the way he is, but chief among them is his heritage. Dracomon's species are the progenitors of all dragon digimon, and as a result of their extremely pure draconic heritage, are both highly intelligent and incredibly powerful. Dracomon, put bluntly, has let this go to his head, and though he is indeed very strong and very smart (he's fluent in several languages, including Tolkien's Elvish), he's also got a massive ego and can be supremely overconfident, even foolhardy. He takes great pride in his pedigree, abilities, and accomplishments, and consequently both tends to ignore his own shortcomings and take any perceived failures very hard. Naturally, others don't often take kindly to Dracomon's boasting, and this combined with his own confrontational streak means that Dracomon often finds himself in fights and verbal sparring matches, made all the worse by the fact that he often wins them.

That being said, Dracomon is still a rookie-level digimon, and though he tries to hide it, he can be just as childish and immature as his peers. He's overly curious, and ever eager to inspect something that catches his eye. This extends to information as well, and when he's not bragging about himself, Dracomon's almost always asking questions of whoever may have answers for him (usually Takeru). In short, Dracomon is an information sponge, always ready to learn and explore in order to expand his knowledge or make himself more powerful. Like Takeru though, this curiosity comes with a certain naivete. Dracomon can be gullible and easily distracted, and is easily led on either by a good lie or an interesting visual. Some of his partner's bumbling also seems to have rubbed off on him, as Dracomon too occasionally fumbles over his words.

Though at first glance Dracomon may seem like an unpleasant individual, he's not malicious. Quite the contrary, he actually has everyone's best interests at heart (he jumped at the chance to be Takeru's partner, despite the danger), he just goes about it in his own, weird way. In fact, at his core, Dracomon is just as warm as his partner. He believes quite strongly in using his abilities to for good, to the point that he won't hesitate to go up against a more powerful opponent or superior numbers unassisted if it means the safety of his companions or the innocent. Though he can be rather coarse and condescending (and part of that is a result of his ego), Dracomon also believes in leading by example. He exaggerates his own prowess in order to inspire those around him, and rather than ignoring those he considers incompetent, he is instead extremely hard on them, hopefully so that it motivates them to improve (though admittedly its also because they annoy him). Nowhere is this demonstrated better than in his interaction with his partner. Though Dracomon often antagonizes Takeru and the two constantly butt heads, most of the friction between the two stems from Dracomon trying to get his partner to come out if his shell. On a deeper level, it could even be said that Dracomon respects Takeru, and commiting so much time and energy to try and help him improve is just his way of showing it.

[spoiler=Biography]Possibly the last remaining survivor (Dracomon has never met another dracomon) of an already rare species of Digimon, Dracomon has spent a good deal of his life simply wandering. Unlike many Digimon, who's digieggs were first rendered in the confines of a primary village, Dracomon came into being atop a mountain, within an isolated colony of other dragon digimon nessled deep in the heart of an ancient fortress. Guided by Volcdramon, the mountain's guardian, Dracomon came to learn of his heritage, and like the other digimon he grew up alongside, was taught the art of warfare from the time he first digivolved. Similar to his partner though, he never quite managed to fit in. Whereas Takeru was meek, though, it was Dracomon's combativeness that led to him being ostracized. He made few friends, and so preferred instead to stay aloof and lose himself in the ancient literature preserved within the fortress's library. It was here he found sanctuary, and developed his identity and personal code of ethics by reading tales of the ancient heroes of the Digital World's past, including Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, and the Digidestined of long ago.

When the time came, Dracomon elected to leave his home to seek his destiny. Though he tried to help others when and however he could (partially out of a strong sense of morality and partially because he wanted the credit), his attitude made him few friends, and so he settled into the life of a lone adventurer. However, that life was put on hold when Takeru Kurosawa literally fell out of the sky in front of him. It was Dracomon who was able to deduce that the strange contraption Takeru held was a Digivice, and together the two of them managed to figure out how to operate it and play back Seraphimon's message. Naturally, Dracomon elected himself Takeru's Digimon partner, and since then the two have begun traveling together.

[spoiler=Misc info]Theme:

  • Like a stereotypical dragon, Dracomon is attracted to shiny objects, and often cannot resist the compulsion to bite or ingest them. Takeru sometimes uses this to keep Dracomon under control by tempting him with his silver pendant.
  • Dracomon and Takeru both share an interest in fantasy literature, and the two have bonded by swapping tales of old from their respective worlds (though Dracomon is by far the better orator).
  • Dracomon is fluent in the following languages: Old Digicode (which sounds like a strange mix between a dial tone and arabic), English, French, German, Latin, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, and Elvish as depicted in Tolkien's fantasy novels.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]

At first glance Eileen would seem like the typical popular kid, overconfident and self-centered, expectant of praise and quick to give out opinions. She's always right and likes to remind people about this. People challenging this fact leads to quick exasperation and anger and will give up on arguments after explaining her thoughts a few times. As she's easily excitable, discussing mutual points of interests with friends can get very high energy very quickly, perhaps a little too much at times not that anyone in the conversation would have it any other way. This also lends itself to Eileen being easily distracted and not being fully aware of problems other people are having. She actually really does care about people and wants to help whenever she can, it might just take a bit for her to realize there's help needed.

Despite this front as one of the cool kids Eileen really doesn't feel connected to many people other than a few close friends and can easily get mildly depressed. When like this all she really feels like doing is sleeping or playing some game to distract herself but she'll push through it to still function in all but the worst cases. This lack of real connections makes her sometimes feel like no one really values her and that there's no point to even speaking her mind on things. This eb and flow of her overall mood is more apparent the closer you are to her.

To those she doesn't know well she puts forth the confident, slightly conceited face and tries to take people under her wing to help them along. Those who are close are the only ones who can really get her to talk about her feelings or help her through the hard times. Overall she's a good kid but struggles with her own feelings about herself. She also has a tendency to be really lazy about everything which doesn't help a lot of the time.

[spoiler=Biography]

Eileen's father is a successful Irish businessman whose company's goal was to optimize healthcare technology around the world. This took him to many places including America, Japan, Germany, even occasionally India and China. As a child Eileen would often accompany her parents to these different countries and would spend time exploring the cultures and places with her mother and siblings while their father worked. As business most often took them to Japan and Germany her parents were sure to instruct her in both languages alongside English while being sure to maintain a healthy Irish accent for speaking english of course. This constant travelling was more intense while Eileen was younger so throughout the time she would have normally been attending elementary school she was "homeschooled" either by her mother or instructors they would hire in the countries they were in.

It wasn't until she turned twelve that she entered the school system in Ireland and at first the social scene of school was difficult for her as she'd never been able to make any friends for long. But by the time she was high school aged she'd become rather popular for a variety of reasons; her looks, artistic abilities and participation in the girl's soccer team to name a few. While she became more popular at school it still never really felt like she was connecting with anyone. Instead of spending time out and about with the people who admired her at school she'd stay home playing various video games, watching shows and reading books. And for the most part she was content to do so.

There was a boy she met named Bryan who quickly became her best friend. Their first meeting involved bumping into each other in the halls at school to which both attempted to apologize to the other. Not in a particularly great mood that day, Eileen continually apologized to which a simple phrase was uttered that broke through to her. "Just smile" Bryan had said with an added comment that she'd look a lot cuter if she did. And Eileen did just that. They continued to hang out from that day on. It was the first real connection she'd made with someone. Their interests were similar enough but more than that she felt Bryan really understood her. Where everyone just saw the popular girl he saw more. Bryan was the one who got her into various MMOs which was one of their favorite things to do together. They never really thought of their relationship like they were but many saw them as boyfriend and girlfriend. From here Eileen went on to open up to more people and was really happy.

About two years ago Bryan and his family moved away and not long after he became quite ill. Eventually Eileen simply lost contact with him and still doesn't know what ever happened to him if he got better or not. This was extremely hard on her and made her close off to the people she'd been really befriending. Her mood swings became worse and she gave up every game she'd ever played since all it did was remind her of Bryan. As the years passed she tried to forget but never really could. Recently one night she had been lying on her bed for some time mostly feeling down and thinking about nothing. But a stray thought came to mind and with it she booted up her computer. She browsed through old sites, logged into old games and just took in information she'd missed out on. But then something strange popped up on her screen. It looked like a picture of some weird gadget. She really couldn't think of what to call it. A phone? That was generous the screen didn't look very big compared to phones she used. There was writing across it. Strange symbols that almost seemed familiar to her. Like something of a code Bryan had once showed her. As she looked and clicked around the strange image she started remembering a little more of that time. And then almost like her eyes were playing tricks on her it looked like the symbols changed into letters she could read. Nine of them. "Just Smile" it said. She muttered the words under her breath to herself. As she did so her entire screen was engulfed in a bright light which seemed to pull her in. For a moment she had no idea where she was or what was going on. But then things seemed slightly more normal except that she was falling. With a scream she hit the ground with a thud not entirely sure what was happening.

As she opened her eyes she saw a dog of all things staring over her and she shot up panicked. The dog didn't look quite normal with blue fur and markings and Eileen had no idea where she even was. Still in a daze she realized the dog was reaching out to her and as it touched her a light shot out from something in her hand. Looking at it she saw the strange device from her screen but now actually in her hand. Something felt strange in her head like something had reached out to her but she shook it off and began wondering aloud where she was. To her great alarm the dog actually spoke and told her about his village and something about the Digital World. He introduced himself as Labramon and asked her name. He mentioned something about her being a strange digimon to which she had to tell him she was a human. He seemed to really perk up at that. There was something about Labramon she couldn't quite place though. Somehow she was being reminded of Bryan.

Labramon promised to take care of her while she was there and took her around to meet the other villagers. She met all sorts of amazing looking creatures and while still confused and scared at what had happened, took comfort in the kindness of the digimon there. Labramon prepared a place for her in his own home and the two talked and bonded quickly to the point Eileen who normally feared dogs found herself unable to sleep well at night without him nearby. Somehow she felt safe around him and opened up to him as she spoke of her world and life.

There had been a message of sorts on her device she'd found after tinkering with it some. A place it wanted her to go. But she hesitated to respond to it. This device had got her sucked into this mess in the first place so she wasn't eager to trust it. After a few more days Eileen found her mood worsening. Another mood swing, this one coupled with the fear of never getting home or seeing her family again. As she cried to herself inside she felt a push at her side. It was Labramon. Without a word he hugged the girl and sat with her. After some time he simply promised her he'd get her back home. After that night Eileen knew she had to follow the directions on the device if she was ever going to get anywhere. The village did everything they could to prepare the girl to leave. She wanted to ask Labramon to come with her but didn't want to put him in danger. Before she could decide what to say he volunteered to go with her which was comforting. And together the two went off to gather at the designated meeting place.

[spoiler=Misc. Info]

-Has a habit of making lewd jokes despite never having really done anything of that stuff. This includes saying things that would imply some rather risque things with Labramon and that particular joke she does for kicks and to laugh at people's reactions to it.

-Had a fear of dogs before meeting Labramon. Now it's sort of a fear of non-labramon dogs though not as bad as before.

Species: Labramon

Partner: Eileen Sheridan

Digivolution Line: Paomon > Labramon > Dobermon > Cerberumon > Anubismon

[spoiler=Physical Description]

This particular Labramon has a blue coloration to all of the fur that normally would have been a red/purple color like his eyes. Additionally he has blue ring color features around each leg and his neck as shown. Is about the same size and weight as a Labrador in real life though proportioned a little differently for convenient switching between bipedal and quadrupedal motion.

NgSNNHA.jpg

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]

Labramon is the much more quiet and reserved side of the team and often serves as a control for his partner's enthusiasm and recklessness. Not a fan of large groups, he tends to stay close by good friends and while still contributing and somewhat enjoying himself would prefer smaller groups of close friends. In those smallers settings he's much more excitable and together him and Eileen can get quite out of hand. He's very kind and concerned about people and notices when others are struggling rather quickly. He's a big fan of snuggling and will look for opportunities for it whatever the occasion. If everyone's happy, snuggling is called for, if someone's sad, snuggling is called for, if he's sad snuggling is called for. It's just always called for to him.

Labramon is not one for contention and is quite good at disarming arguments so long as people actually want to not fight. He gets easily frustrated with others for overreacting but never can stay mad at anyone for long without apologizing and trying to help the other person out.  He's very protective, perhaps a little too much, of his close friends and only ever gets mean to keep people he doesn't trust away from them. The fact he's a dog-based digimon shines through with his loyalty to friends, excitement at seeing them and overall capability to love others.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Biography]

Labramon was born in raised in a remote village of beast-like digimon. The village was situated in a small fertile valley amidst a vast mountain range which naturally isolated it from much of the rest of the digital world. On rare occasion a traveller from outside the village would come through and bring tales of the rest of the digital world. A young Labramon thrived on these stories and yearned to learn more about the world for himself. But the village was a safe place and the rest of the world not so and he never felt ready to go.

Labramon's best friend in the village was a Salamon. Playing with her or not was what determined if Labramon had a good day or a bad day. One day they decided to go climb one of the surrounding mountains just to get a look at the rest of the digital world from the summit. It was a common activity for the various digimon and they'd done it before but that day Salamon felt they really need to go do it. Atop the summit a breathtaking view awaited them but something strange happened. As the digital world had begun to become increasingly affected by human activity on the internet a piece of stray data managed to find it's way to that peak. Labramon was able to get Salamon out of it's way but the data made contact with him, changing the color of his purple fur to the blue it is now and giving him the ring markings. He wasn't harmed but something strange seemed to be going on in his mind. There was this concept of a human being and various things they did in there but he had no idea what any of that was. Over time Labramon began to learn things about human culture through other stray bits of data that now seemed attracted to him but never did get an idea of what a human was. He would tell really only Salamon about the things that came into his mind and she was captivated by the stories.

Occasionally however these bits of data interacting with Labramon would have him feeling sick for a day or so. On one such day the weather of the valley was particularly unusual. A group of the villagers including Salamon decided to climb the surrounding mountains to see if they might be able to find out anything as to what was going on. Only one from the group returned saying something had deleted all the others but couldn't explain what before he himself died. Upon recovering the next day Labramon was informed that Salamon had died along with the others and from this point he became much more reserved and quiet instead of openly expressing his sadness. As time went on he gradually came to feel better but never forgot his friend.

The appearance of Solid State shook the entire digital world and while Labramon's village was far from immediate danger, it was always looming ever closer. While attempting to help fortify the town some a strange light appeared behind Labramon and a strange creature fell through with a high pitched yell. Turning around he found one of the strangest things he'd ever seen. Looking over the creature he was startled as it shot up with a bit of a high pitched scream. It had long red hair that Labramon thought was really pretty. It said something about a dog but the voice was more important to Labramon than what it said. Somehow he heard his friend Salamon in this creature. Almost in disbelief he reached out to touch the creature to make sure it was real. As he did so a light shot out from a device it was holding Labramon could feel something connecting with his own data.

The two began talking and Labramon found the creature's name was Eileen, which was a strange name for a digimon. But she quickly corrected him stating she was a human. Suddenly he had the object of the strange things he'd felt from the data in front of him and was very excited. Labramon got her introduced to the rest of the village and decided to help take care of her while she was there. The two became very good friends and Labramon couldn't ever shake the feeling that something about Eileen reminded him of Salamon.

At first Labramon spent all day trying to find things for Eileen to eat which was an adventure in itself. She didn't seem comfortable around him at first but quickly started opening up to him. She spoke about her world, things he'd only caught abstract glimpses of. She talked about her life and as she did so it was obvious to him that there was some deep sadness in this girl. As the days carried on he watched her mood shift and change. He did everything he could to help her feel better when she got down on herself and eventually promised to get her safely back home.

The device Eileen had arrived with contained information telling her where she needed to go but the girl hesitated to start that journey. But eventually she made the decision that she would go and Labramon quickly volunteered to go with her. But her leaving was delayed as Labramon fell sick as he was prone to do. He couldn't remember much of that day but he knew Eileen sat by his side the whole time gently petting him. After recovering the two set off on the beginning of their adventure together, the thought of which filled the digimon's mind with wonder.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Misc info]

-Big fan of treats. Easily distracted by them from anyone he's even remotely comfortable around.

-Tends to say things that easily lead into Eileen's jokes, doesn't completely understand human humor but likes making her happy.

-Occasionally gets sick from the stray bits of data that have interacted with him in the past.

[spoiler=Digivice]aVYE9Pr.png
Color: Blue & Pink
Cipher: Believe

[spoiler=Appearance]8hO7wr2.png
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 126 pounds

Morgan is tall and thin, with a long neck, red hair, and green eyes. Her skinny arms and legs - despite getting plenty of exercise - don't really have much in the way of muscle, at least on the surface. Morgan's stronger than she looks, but not by an absurd amount. When she doesn't look mad, Morgan's actually got soft facial features that don't seem like they'd belong to such an aggressive person, and she tends to favor pine-scented bath products, causing her to generally smell of pine. Because she was brought to the Digital World wearing it, Morgan's been stuck with her school uniform until such time as she finds something new in her size. She is not happy about this; Morgan doesn't like long sleeves or skirts, and her uniform has both.

[spoiler=Personality]Although she wants to be one, Morgan isn't really suited for being a police officer. She'd be much better as a vigilante, lacking the patience and chill needed to be a responsible cop. Morgan is restless at best, and can't stick to one thing very long before getting tired of it and moving to the next thing so that she can finish the first thing later. On its own, this could be a problem, but what Morgan lacks in an attention span, she makes up for in raw energy. When she works at something, it's like there's three of her running around, and she's a surprisingly effective multitasker. Now if she could just calm down, she would really have the potential to succeed at just about anything she put her mind to.

However, asking Morgan to be calm just doesn't work out. If people were elements, Morgan would be an unstoppable pillar of fire. Stopping just isn't in her until the job is done, for better or worse. She tackles challenges hellbent on coming out the better girl, with a confidence matched only by her sheer aggression. Morgan's always been an angry girl, quick to be set off and slow to calm, and she's never been afraid to get into a fight either. The result of these traits coming together is a distinctly violent girl who gets into more trouble than she should, be it with other people her age or her authority figures.

Despite her violent behavior, however, Morgan is all about rules. She has trouble following them herself, but she'll be damned if she stands by and lets others also break them. Honestly, in a world where nobody broke rules, Morgan would probably be a calm person. Her aggression mostly ends up being in the name of spreading order in her own violent way, and the things that set her off tend to largely consist of people using others purely for personal gain, usually in ways that are against some sort of rule. There's no getting rid of her temper, but in theory, living in a world ruled by order could at least curb Morgan's violent disposition and let her better qualities really show.

She's got confidence to spare, for one. Morgan believes that anything is possible, and if she failed at something, then it's just because she doesn't know how to do it right yet. She doesn't mind letting others see that firsthand either; if somebody needs to stand on a pair of shoulders to reach their goal, Morgan is often the first one to step up to the plate. Just like how her temper is short, the bridge to friendship with Morgan is also pretty short. It doesn't take much for her to get along with people, and she isn't afraid to lie for their sake. She definitely isn't afraid to get violent for them. Morgan's best quality, however, is that she turn tail even in the worst of times.

Lie to her, betray her, literally stab her in the back all you want, but once Morgan calls somebody a friend, she'll do her best to keep them that way until the bitter end. Even - rather, especially in the most desperate of situations - she'll stand by their side, making sure nobody gets left behind or forgotten. When she makes a promise, she'll also stick to it no matter how tempting it may be to go back on her word. Just don't let her promise to cook. Morgan's a little too fond of spices and the like.

[spoiler=Biography]Though she lived in Japan up until entering the Digital World, Morgan's roots trace back to America. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Morgan was the daughter of two police officers and aspired to be like them. Enforcers of the law, who dealt with bad guys. And for a young Morgan, dealing with schoolyard bullies meant beating them up until they stopped doing bad things. The thing that stood out about Morgan in particular as an enforcer of sandbox justice was that she was good at it. Really good. Through sheer aggression, Morgan was able to win fights against kids bigger and stronger than her, and eventually kids learned that if they wanted to do bad things, Morgan couldn't catch wind of it.

However, her reign of lawful terror didn't last long. When Morgan was eight, her parents received a job opportunity in Sapporo, Hokkaido that could greatly benefit the entire family. So, kids in tow, Mr. and Mrs. O'Connor packed their bags and took off for Japan. Morgan, not knowing the language or customs of Japan, had a hell of a time getting used to her new surroundings. However, it wasn't all bad. In Morgan's class was one girl, small as could be, but good at heart and willing to help Morgan get used to things in Japan in exchange for teaching her how to more fluently speak English. That girl was Sachiko Miyakaze, and she quickly became Morgan's best friend.

By high school, the two were nearly glued to one another. Which brings us to the present. In which they were in fact separated. Because you see, a D-Cipher had found Morgan, deemed her worthy, and whisked her away to the digital world one day after school while she was checking her cell phone. And now she's stuck here. Not exactly her ideal detour home from school.

[spoiler=Misc]Out of the five RPs she's appeared in thus far, this is the only one to feature Morgan with her natural hair and eye color.

[spoiler=Cutemon]Name: Bunny (nickname of Morgan's choosing)

"Gender": Female

Digivolution Line: Conomon > Kokomon > Cutemon > Rabbitmon > Antylamon > Cherubimon

[spoiler=Appearance]VGi1xjo.png
Cutemon is a pink Digimon with rabbit ears, sporting distinct earmuffs and a pink scarf. It has big red eyes, and is rather small. Morgan's Cutemon - Bunny - is small even by Cutemon standards. With Bunny's small stature comes the fact that its earmuffs are a bit too big for its tiny head, and may occasionally start to slip off. In addition, Morgan has swapped Bunny's pink scarf for the one she was wearing when the two first met, which is yellow, claiming that Bunny's appearance was too pink. So that it doesn't drag on the ground and get caught on everything, Morgan also helped Bunny cut the scarf to be shorter and appropriate for her size.

[spoiler=Personality]Three things matter to Bunny: Friends, fun, and food. She doesn't believe in such a thing as having too many friends, and if she sees the opportunity to add somebody else to her ever-growing circle, she'll take it. If somebody's feeling down, Bunny always tries her best to lift their spirits back up, whether it's just by telling them everything's okay and not to give up, or with something less abstract like a joke. Bunny fancies herself a comic genius, but the reality is that her punchlines tend to fall short. If she tells a really funny joke, rest assured it's not hers.

Another way Bunny tries to cheer others up is with pranks. Not pranking them, but rather helping them prank others. While verbal jokes tend to fail when Bunny's using them, she's great with practical jokes, and will happily prank friend and other friend alike. To her, they're a weird way of showing she cares while also getting a good laugh in. Bunny is also eager to accept assistance with her pranks, and often plays the ringleader role for more elaborate pranks since her tiny body can only accomplish so much on its own. Of course, pranks aren't the only fun thing in the world and she knows that. Games are also very important in life, and Bunny is seldom one to turn any type of game down. While sweet as can be, Bunny isn't too bright, so it's easy to trick her into doing things she wouldn't usually do by disguising it as a game. She'll want to play, and while she will want to win, having fun is more important to her than victory. When she wins, she'll want to party, and to her, a party means food.

Bunny loves food, plain and simple. If it's edible, there doesn't seem to be much she won't eat, be it sweet, sour, or bitter. Bunny's love for food stems from her height, or rather, lack thereof. She secretly doesn't like being smaller than other Cutemons, and believes that by eating lots of food, she'll get taller and stronger than the others. Being a runt just doesn't make her happy, so she'll do her best to change that. Ask her about it, and you'll be treated to a comically hammy story about maybe becoming a giant and eating entire buildings of cotton candy.

Bunny has a habit of overexaggerating things, so taking her words at face value isn't the best idea. It can be hard to tell sometimes if she does it because it's fun or because she legitimately sees everything in the extremes she describes them, but the bottom line is that when she talks about something, she'll dial it up to eleventy-thousand. Which, by no coincidence, is her favorite number. However, even if she does tend to blow things out of proportion, Bunny does it with a smile and a sincere heart that hates to see people sad or afraid. What Bunny lacks in stature, she makes up for with heart, and she'll make sure to have your back. Just help her reach the top shelf in exchange and she'll call it even.

[spoiler=Biography]The following is the life of Bunny, as told by Bunny.

I am Bunny! And I am short. I've always been short, even when everyone else wasn't short. Getting anything done was impossible! I had to climb up the backs of like a hundred other Cutemons just to reach the top shelf to cook anything, and my earmuffs are huge! We lived in a village hidden away in the mountains, because come on who wants creepy people just waltzing into your village at night? And it was cold there too; I threw a glass of water outside once to see how cold it was, and the water turned into ice instantly and exploded and it caused a blizzard for like a week. However, not everything can last forever, and my village was attacked in the dead of night one fateful night.

Out of nowhere, a swarm of at least a million GranKuwagamon attacked our village! Using my small size as an advantage, I darted from foe to foe, doing everything I could to strike them down and save the day. But alas, there were too many of them, and they were far too powerful, and so we had to flee and leave the village's fate in the hands of the monsters. I went my separate ways from the rest of the Cutemons in my village, knowing there was some greater purpose out there for me. My adventure brought me one day to a vast and ancient pyramid, big enough to probably hold all the GranKuwagamon that attacked my village. I entered and met Network Security. They recognized my amazing talents and immediately let me in on their top-secret plans.

As it turns out, everything's been getting trapped in these cubes, and anyone who gets caught in one forgets everything except the words "Solid State"! Seraphimon had a plan though, and had the D-Ciphers made! Being a true hero at heart, I volunteered to partner up with a human that would get one of them. My D-Cipher did find the right girl in Hokkaido, Japan, but it turned out to be a heinous young girl with a big violent streak!

Heinous!?

U-Uh no well not heinous really I mean more like...angry! An angry young girl! Yeah. So now it's my job to keep her on the right path to saving the Digital World! Just between you and me, I've really got my work cut out for me.
[spoiler=What really happened]"I had to climb up the backs of like a hundred other Cutemons just to reach the top shelf to cook anything, and my earmuffs are huge!"
While her earmuffs are big for her head, Bunny didn't have to climb up anyone's back to reach the top shelf. She had a small three-step stool she could climb up instead.

"I threw a glass of water outside once to see how cold it was, and the water turned into ice instantly and exploded and it caused a blizzard for like a week."
Bunny didn't throw anything and there was no blizzard. She set the glass down outside and measured how long it took for the water to turn into ice because she didn't have anything better to do that day. It took two hours.

"Out of nowhere, a swarm of at least a million GranKuwagamon attacked our village!"
It was one Kuwagamon, and Bunny didn't fight it. She fled the scene immediately, believing the combined Cutemons didn't have enough power to fight one Kuwagamon. The Kuwagamon was ultimately defeated with clever traps and group healing efforts.

"I entered and met Network Security. They recognized my amazing talents and immediately let me in on their top-secret plans."
Bunny never joined Network Security. She stayed outside the pyramid for a week before they finally caved in and let her look around. They also didn't explicitly tell her the plan with the D-Ciphers; she overheard it when sneaking into a part of the pyramid she wasn't supposed to be in.

"Being a true hero at heart, I volunteered to partner up with a human that would get one of them."
This actually did happen, but it took some convincing on Bunny's part.

[spoiler=Isshuin Yurika aka top smug]

"Do I look like I give flying f*** what you think, shitstains!? I feed off your negativity!"

Name: Yurika "Eureka-chan" Isshuin

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Partner Digimon: Lunamon

[spoiler=Digivice Info]

Yurika's Digivice is silver with pastel blue accents. Its Cipher reads BE TRUE

RmRTJuH.png

[spoiler=Physical Description]

s8D3Una.jpg

Height: 5'6" (170 cm)

Weight: 105 lbs. (47 kg)

Blood Type: AB+

Yurika's insecurities over her identity as a woman often causes her to over present her feminity by wearing typically feminine-coded clothing. She also tends to wear clothing that is more revealing as it makes her feel more confident in herself, and like she has nothing to hide. While most people can't tell Yurika is also noted for being just a bit too thin for a girl her age and height. In addition to this Yurika's skin in more pale in comparison to the average Japanese person because of her anemia, which adds to her sickly look. Because of this Yurika often wears quite a bit of make-up so that people will not notice, and will become upset and irritable should someone see her without it. Yurika also uses hair chalk to color her hair, though as it washes out easily Yurika changes its color frequently.

[spoiler=Personality]

Upon first meeting her Yurika seems like a very abrasive, and to some, downright rude. With a terrifying combination of cutting sarcasm and supreme arrogance, Yurika is no stranger to getting on to people's bad sides. Often described by her peers as a b**** Yurika revels in the title and her classmate's ire only seems to fuel her behavior. Her attitude combined with Yurika's openness and command of her sexuality has earned her a reputation as a slut as well. That being said Yurika is not loud or obnoxious preferring to piss off her peers with quite spite, and smugness.

To the few that Yurika has managed to befriend however she can be described as acting like a big sister. Fiercely loyal and protective Yurika would stick up for any of her friends in a heart beat. Yurika also tries to be a good a listener as possible, and help her friends shoulder their emotional burdens, however, this often leave Yurika emotionally strained and mentally exhausted. While there is no end to the compassion Yurika has towards her friends she is also extremely possessive of them. Yurika will become jealous if her friends want to hang out with other people, or don't talk to her for too long. Yurika often struggles with anxieties over whether she has truly developed a connection with her friends, or if they only stick around out of a sense of pity or obligation. She worries however that talking about her own issues will drive the few friends she's made away from her, and instead chooses to bottle them up.

Yurika's online persona is a complete 180 from how she presents in real life. Online she presents a shy and demure young woman and is much more friendly and sociable. She believes that if she plays into ideas people have of her, and how she is supposed to act then they will like her more. In the online world, Yurika feels that she can fashion herself an entirely new person that will be loved by everyone. In addition because of the anonymity afforded by the internet she does not have to truly connect with others to befriend them and have them like her. She feels that as long as she acts the way people want her to then they'll never hate her.

[spoiler=Biography]

Born two weeks ahead of time, her mother jokes that even before she was born Yurika she was rebelling and wouldn't even let the doctors tell her how to live her life. The child of a popular idol singer, however after it was found out that she was pregnant Yurika's mother was let go by the agency, and as Yurika's father had left her high and dry, was forced to raise Yurika by herself. While the money she had made as an idol was nothing to sneeze at Yurika's mother knew that with a baby on the way she would need a job, and so she decided to go back to school and finish university. She was about midway through her first year at university when Yurika was born, a beautiful baby boy.

Yukio Isshuin was always different from the other children. He enjoyed more feminine hobbies rather than the traditional horseplay of young boys. Despite his atypical behavior Yukio's mother always supported him even as he grew older and his feminine mannerisms became less cute to those around him. So it should come as no surprise when Yukio came out as transgender to her mother she supported her daughter 100% and did everything in her power to make sure her daughter's transition was as comfortable as possible. With the money from her days as an idol Yurika's mother was able to provide drugs that halted the effects of puberty and

While at home Yurika's mother was only supportive at school Yurika was met with a more mixed reaction. Though her classmates were more likely to be supportive of her Yurika still faced bullying from classmates, and that says nothing of her teachers who were almost entirely unsupportive. Even among classmates who were "supportive" of her, Yurika was met ignorance and disrespect, and no matter what she did people's way of treating her never quite seemed to change. So rather than waiting for others to change Yurika reinvented herself, and became a much more... assertive person. As one might imagine this drastic attitude s*** made more enemies than it did friends.

Around this same time, Yurika began to find solace in the internet. There people could not tell her that she was or was not a woman, and while there were some issues of her being a woman on the internet Yurika found it easy to placate these people by becoming what they wanted her to be. Taking on the persona of a shy and cutesy girl Yurika, under the alias of Eureka-chan, became popular among several online communities. The more time she began to spend on the internet the more she began to take an interest in computers. Using online tutorials and various websites Yurika began to teach herself how to code, and in only a few short weeks had built her first program. Granted it was a simple drawing program, had very few functions, and was 90% a mess of jumbled code, but it worked and Yurika was proud of it.

Gradually Yurika became more and more interesting in coding and eventually became interesting in hacking and what could be achieved through it. To Yurika hacking felt liberating, and powerful like she could do whatever she wanted. The extent of Yurika's hacking however never delved into illegal activity as the majority of Yurika's interest lay in expanding on and modifying programs to suit her needs (and to show off). That being said it would be a lie to say the Yurika has only used the skill for good intentions and has used it to take revenge others.

So Yurika continued to live her double life being quite careful to never allow the two to interact. While there have been some close calls nobody has yet to discover that she and her online persona are one in the same and she intends to keep it this way. Yurika seems to have more pressing matters to deal with at the moment, though, such as being sucked into a digital world by a strange device. There she has met several other young people, and their "Partner Digimon". Needless to say, the new arrangements have taken some adjusting to for her, though she and her own partner, Lunamon, seem to be getting along quite well... most of the time.

A demure and reserved Digimon her polite and well-mannered attitude is quite a contrast to that of her Partner. That being said, while she is soft-spoken she is by no means shy and no less strong-willed than her Partner. While she always makes sure that she acts in a respectful manner to others, and does her best not to hurt the feelings of others Lunamon has no problem with being assertive and making sure that her opinion is heard. Also despite the fact that she tries to spare the feelings of others if possible, she knows that at times it is necessary to put her foot down and tell people that they need to shape up, and her Partner is no exception.

Despite her cute and cuddly appearance Lunamon is quite mature and gives and almost regal, queenly aura. She despises being talked down to and can become as snarky as her Partner if she feels that someone is condescending her. Despite her impressive aura Lunamon does not seem unapproachable and gives off a motherly aura as well. She does her best to encourage others, and much like her Partner tries to be a sort of emotional rock for people, though she seems to be able to handle it much better..

The former leader of a small village of Lunamon, and in the wake of Yggdrasil's demise left her village to in order to find help. With the old leaders of the Network Security gone Lunamon desperate searched for any way to defeat the Solid State invaders. After many months Lunamon returned to her village, and yet was distraught to find it decimated, and nobody left. It was not long after that she met the human girl, Yurika. While sometimes they do butt heads, the two seem to make a good pair. They have currently teamed up with several other human/Digimon pairs and traveling to a meeting point designated by the mysterious digivices.

"Ride bene chi ride ultimo! If you aren't first, don't boast to me."

Personal Information

x393wz.jpg

Name: Jason "Jay" Russo

Age: 16

Gender: Male

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance]

His eyes a bit more of a caramel color, but the rest of him is just as depicted above.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Biography]

[spoiler=Appearance]

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Biography]

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Biography]

She accepted the burden, and named herself that which she gave to her nursery mates, Hope!

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]

She also has a tendency to be really lazy about everything which doesn't help a lot of the time.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Biography]

NgSNNHA.jpg

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]

The fact he's a dog-based digimon shines through with his loyalty to friends, excitement at seeing them and overall capability to love others.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Biography]

[spoiler=Cutemon]Name: Bunny (nickname of Morgan's choosing)"Gender": FemaleDigivolution Line: Conomon > Kokomon > Cutemon > Rabbitmon > Antylamon > Cherubimon

[spoiler=Appearance]VGi1xjo.png

[spoiler=Biography]The following is the life of Bunny, as told by Bunny.I am Bunny!

My D-Cipher did find the right girl in Hokkaido, Japan, but it turned out to be a heinous young girl with a big violent streak!Heinous!?U-Uh no well not heinous really I mean more like...angry!

[spoiler=Isshuin Yurika aka top smug]

"Do I look like I give flying f*** what you think, shitstains!? I feed off your negativity!"

Name: Yurika "Eureka-chan" Isshuin

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Partner Digimon: Lunamon

[spoiler=Digivice Info]

Yurika's Digivice is silver with pastel blue accents. Its Cipher reads BE TRUE

RmRTJuH.png

[spoiler=Physical Description]

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Biography]

[spoiler=Misc]

  • Theme -
  • Despite what her sexually promiscuous persona and revealing clothing would suggest Yurika is actually a virgin. She's quite terrified of having sex and is worried that her partner will be disgusted if they see her genitalia
  • Yurika's online alias, Eureka-chan, is a play on the pronunciation of her name

[spoiler=Lunamon]

Name: Lunamon

"Gender": Female

Digivolution Line: YukimiBotamon>Moonmon>Lunamon>Lekismon>Crescemon>Dianamon

[spoiler=Appearance]

Lunamon.png

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Biography]
