Destiny City: The Numerix Wars [OOC/No Longer Accepting Applications] [PG-16]

Recommended Posts

Name: Jack Ellis

Gender: male

Age: (14-25) 16

[spoiler=Appearance] He is a young cocasian male with piercing blue eyes and silver hair(that really is just a light shade of blond),6 feet even. He has many outfits, including a silver turbo dueling outfit, a ground outfit, consisting of an red necklace, a grey windbreaker, a black undershirt, white shorts, and red athletic shoes, and an action duelist outfit with similar stuff as his ground duelists outfit, but he loses the windbreaker in favor of a more aerodynamic jacket, also grey. His duel disk is a red dyed steel, shaped to form a steel dragon.

[spoiler=Personality]

Jack was a kind, patient person with a quick thinking Mind. He tries to find the good things in life and focus on them. He once wished to be the greatest solo and tag duelist around. However, under the influence of Numerix-076, he becomes a violent, brutal monstrosity of his former self. He becomes focused on destruction of the opponent. In turbo duels, he smashes into the opponent's duel runner, and in action duels, he starts to leap off of his opponent's to grab action cards. Most of the time, Jack can shake 76's influence off. After being possessed, Jack is hesitant to use 76, but he will use the dragon. In short, Jack is a lean, mean, dueling machine.

[spoiler=Background] Many people see Jack as a brutal duelist, a heartless monster, and a terrific duelist, but he was not always that. He was born as a twin, his sis being Jackie Ellis. They each had 2 colors, silver and gold, but they share a red necklace. They were separated at a young age, and it left Jack with an empty feeling inside. His father noticed this, and gave him the thing to fill the gap. Duel Monsters. His mom and dad knew that they both should play the game, so when the mom left with Jackie, they weren't missing each other. Many years passed, and now Jack was a prominent duelist. One day, after a long hard day of dueling, he went home, only to find a Numerix card. Jack had never seen a Numerix before so he eagerly grabbed the card, not realizing what lay in store for him....

[spoiler=Deck] He uses a steel dragon deck, made with cards that slowly annoy the opponent, like negate attack, the 'solemn' counter traps, and cards that help gain life points.

He also owns Numerix-076: Dragon of the Idea of Evil?

[spoiler=Misc] He owns a duel runner, a silver and red "Winged Dragon" model, built with his dad's help.

HOLY sheet THE OOC IS HERE YESSSSS.

By Stereotype, you just mean the basic character trope they fall under, yes?

Also, just for the record, I've already called dibs on Numerix-090: Mother Harlot, and for my archetype, I'm calling dibs on Widowmakers.

EDIT: So until I get a clear-cut answer to my stereotype question, here's my character:

[spoiler=Dokuko Wakui, the Young Poison]

Name: Dokuko Wakui

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Appearance: [spoiler=Big Image]xWNmNM8.jpg
Dokuko is a rather slender girl with a buxom figure, standing at five feet and five inches, and weighing 110.4 pounds. Aside from her standard hoodie, gas mask and stockings combo, she also has a black tanktop and shorts that she wears on her own time, away from her delinquent activities.

Personality: Dokuko's usual behavior is rather standard fare for a delinquent: foul-mouthed, reckless, hotheaded, and snarky. She isn't afraid to say exactly what's on her mind, she's willing to take any risks necessary to meet her goals, she's short-tempered, and above all else, she just loves to crack a good joke, especially puns.

However, under the rough-and-tumble exterior of a street thug lies a rather sweet individual, just like how some poisons double as medicines. Dokuko loves all manner of animals, her favorites being dogs, spiders, and chinchillas. She also has a soft spot for fellow street duelists and is always willing to lend them a hand if they need it. And, of course, above all else, Dokuko's most valued thing in this entire world and the reason she is where she is today is her own family. Her parents mean the whole world to her, and without them, she wouldn't be half the person she is today.

All in all, Dokuko is a character with two distinct sides to her. The delinquent side is the one most people are more familiar with, while the sweet girl side is reserved for those she considers close to her and holds dear to her heart. Try not to piss her off, and you'll more than likely have a great and reliable friend and confidant.

Background: Dokuko was born into anything but a normal family. She was an only child, and both of her parents were gang members and street duelists who were both exceptionally good at what they did. Dokuko always looked up to them as inspirational figures in her life, and aspired to be like them: A delinquent and a damn good duelist as well. However, after a turf war three years ago, Dokuko lost contact with both of her parents. They were presumed either MIA or retired. Without any word from the two themselves, however, it was hard to say for sure. As a result, taking the one thing they left behind, an Xyz monster called Numerix-090: Mother Harlot, Dokuko decided she would follow in their footsteps and hopefully find out what the hell happened to the two most important people in her life. Along the way, she even managed to make a reputation and name for herself: Young Poison, the Rebel With a Cause.

Deck: Dokuko uses a Widowmaker deck, which focuses on Special Summoning the main deck monsters through their own effects rather than a conventional Normal Summon/Set. This is because all but one Widowmaker monster cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Her Numerix monster is Numerix-090: Mother Harlot, a Rank 6 DARK Fiend immune that is immune to Trap Cards and can, once per turn, detach 1 Xyz Material during either player's turn to take control of 1 monster their opponent controls until their next Standby Phase. Dokuko summons this monster by first summoning a Rank 4 DARK Xyz Monster and then using Numerix Evolution to Rank it up into Mother Harlot. In case she doesn't draw into it immediately, she uses either a combination of Foolish Burial With Belongings and Blank Spell Slip to send it to and subsequently activate it from the Graveyard or Gold Sarcophagus to guarantee she gets the card a few turns later.

The AGM specifically does not include Links, because it invalidates several existing card designs, and in our opinion hurts the game as is. So, no, Krashkube, no Links.

As for Rank 10, off the top of my head we have Nightmare Engines, Space Cruisers, the ever-entertaining Vainglorious Journeyman and Zodiacaptors, and a few other random cards that help the R10 cause. If you want some variety, you could also attempt to run Fatedge and use Fusion to make Star Conqueror and Star Kaiser, Level 10 Fusions that require 2 Level 5 or higher Warrior-Type monsters apiece.

Also, in the AGM Generics thread (which is stickied in Advanced Multiples), they're under the "Extra Deck" and "Xyz" subheaders.

Keydra really belongs in a Gemini or Normal Monster archetype in general.

Also, AGM users who wish to make villains, ideal villainous Numerix are "Luck Queen", "Des-Draconus Dracena", "Aeon Magus", "Sacchaias, Hero King of the Malicious Empire", "Nuclear Jormungand", "Scorching Devastation", "Muscaria, Usurper of the Fungal Serpents", and "Hegemon of the Stars".

[spoiler=The Villainous ColdRush] Name: Kori Akuyaku

Gender: Male
Age: 15
[spoiler=Appearance] 941c4751fad716d4cfa00a4bb4732664.jpg

around 5'6 with a lean build, blue eyes, and dirty blonde hair, on the few occasions he's not wearing his "costume", which consists of a simple hoodie, black wig, and gas mask, he usually just wears a tee shirt and jeans with light blue laced black sneakers

[spoiler=Personality]

Kori likes to think of himself as the villain type he's just a fan boy playing a part. Most the time he goes out as his "evil alter ego" ColdRush, a character built from his love of classic comic book villains and the AntiHERO Archetype, while he tries to be menacing and standoffish in this disguise he usually just comes off as "cute" or childish to some older women and outright strange to most people around his age. While dueling he'll often try to think of quips to throw at his opponent like they're some kind of hero trying to stop his plans.

[spoiler=Background]

Kori has always loved comic books, especially the villains, to the point of obsession where he tries to emulate their behavior and attitudes in his everyday life, this, for the most part, got him what he wanted, while he thinks people avoid him for his villainous behavior usually they just think he's strange. When the AntiHERO archetype came out he quickly bought enough cards to make a proper deck and created his "ColdRush" persona to go with it. Eventually he heard about the Numerix cards and decided to make it his "evil" goal to obtain them all and become an unbeatable duelist.

Deck: The AntiHERO archetype along with Numerix-061: Vengeful Mage, Reinforcements of the Army, Gold Sarcophagus

Misc: People often think he's a cosplayer going to some convention for something. He calls his Duel Runner "The Chiller" and has had it painted sold black with icicle decals on the sides. somehow his parents have no idea about his strange habits or about his "secret identity"

[spoiler=Theme 1 - The Antagonist]

[spoiler=Theme 2 - Vengeful Cold]

I'm really tempted to make two characters to fill out the roster, one-off villains nonwithstanding.

Also, for whoever expressed concern regarding Rank 1 being able to do things, I have a surprising contender for a Deck that can make them- Spiritrinkets, the Neos/Cyberdark combo of the AGM. I just realized that they can competently make Ranks 1, 3, and 7 surprisingly often. Go figure.

[spoiler=Kenji Tsusawa]Name: Kenji Tsusawa

Gender: Male

Age: 55

Appearance: [spoiler=Picture]GwT7pWR.jpg

(imagine with a weaker chin and more wrinkles. That’s Kenji.)

He stands at an average 5’8”, though that’s because he bends over often (due to his profession). His full height is 5’10”. He weighs in at 160 lbs. He often sticks to wearing “traditional” clothing, though he has a few more “casual” outfits consisting of buttoned down shirts and khakis.

[spoiler=Personality]Kenji is the definition of “traditional sage”. He is filled with platitudes for the younger generation with an air that comes from years of experience. He often appears fairly rational and enjoys a good laugh. Appears to be quite serene and accepting of his age.

Funnily enough, Kenji describes himself as “young-at-heart”. Though he may not be as excitable as he was when he was younger, he would very much like to experience new things. He tries to stay curious and likes to read. One can easily tell when Kenji is enjoying himself as his eyes tend to light up.

All this said, Kenji does have a negative side to himself. He often gets upset at the mention of his late wife. He is also very protective of his only son (and his son’s family) as well as his own honor, often getting angry at even the lightest slight of either.

[spoiler=Background]Kenji’s family moved from Japan to Destiny City with the intent of going to America. However, because of the events of WW2, and the fact that Destiny City remained neutral in the conflicts, his family decided to remain there. The city was where Kenji was born. While in the city, Kenji’s family stayed in a neighborhood where a lot of other Japanese families resided. They tried to keep their traditions alive, but the next generation (Kenji’s), adopted Destiny City’s customs and the craze that was sweeping the city: dueling. Kenji was caught up with this craze, but as his folks were poor immigrants, he was given in to his studies more than the game that was just a “fad”. Despite this, Kenji did love a good duel and when he wasn’t doing schoolwork, he would often go and duel with his friends. When he graduated high school, he went to an arts college in America, wanting to hone his skills with his hands. While at college, he met his wife-to-be and married her when they graduated. Kenji had a single son. Many years passed… Eventually, when Kenji’s son was in college, he received a letter from his mother saying that his father was ill. Kenji and his wife decided to move to Destiny City so they could take care of Kenji’s parents. However, things were worse than they had appeared. The illness that Kenji’s father had contracted was in its late stage and was extremely contagious, later being revealed to be most often contracted by immigrants to Destiny City and almost never by native-born citizens. Needless to say, this illness claimed the life of both of Kenji’s parents and his wife, all of whom ended up dying within a year of each other. Unable to bear staying in Destiny City, yet unable to leave the place where his family lay, Kenji was in limbo. He eventually came to grips with the unfortunate turn of events and ultimately decided to stay in Destiny City, hoping to translate his emotion into his favorite medium of art: pottery and clay sculpting. Surprisingly, his works became immediately popular and he currently manages a small shop of handmade clay objects, many of which are duel monster figurines. However, recently, his shop has been broken into multiple times. Feeling slighted, deck in hand, Kenji hopes to find the culprits behind the break-ins and show them what happens when they mess with a Tsusawa.

Kenji found his Numerix among the remains of a Dogu statuette.

Deck: Clayborne Archetype http://forum.yugiohc...bornes-written/ . Numerix 020: Keydra.

Also uses:

  • “Jar” FLIP monster series.
  • Grandigger Mole (Rank 2 Rock Xyz)
  • Apology of the Downtrodden (Normal Monster support card)
  • Micro Reinforcement (Level 2 FLIP support)
Misc: Kenji keeps his Deck in a display of Pot of Greed behind the counter of his shop. Keeps a magatama with him given to him by his mother when he was young.

[spoiler=A Hero Emerges!]Name: Lance Campton

Age: 21

Gender: Male

[spoiler=Appearance]e10fa37412039ef057c05cffe9713d8a.jpg

 Lance is 6 feet tall with a lean build and he weighs 168 pounds. He has dark red eyes and smooth blonde hair. His main outfit consists of sunglasses, a black jacket with an under shirt and torn jeans. Under his clothes, he has slight muscles.

[spoiler=Background]As the only son of Kyle Campton, billionaire and CEO of a major electronics company, Lance is a rich boy. As a child, he went to a private dueling school. Lance soon became the top duelist in the school. Because of this, his looks, and his gentleman-like personality, most of the girls in school had a crush on him. But this also had a negative effect, because it made almost all of the boys in school hate him. Day after day, one of the boys would challenge Lance to a duel and everytime Lance would win. After a while, Lance got the guys of the school to like him by helping them with their dueling skills and giving them advice on how to get girls to notice them. To sum it all up, Lance was the perfect star student of the dueling school.

After he graduated dueling school, Lance pursued a dueling career as well as a modeling career and he became successful in both. Now, Lance decided to take a break from his careers to go on a vacation to Destiny City. When he made it to the hotel he was going to be staying in, Lance found a Numerix card on his hotel bed.

[spoiler=Personality] Having grow up in the Campton household, Lance was taught by his parents to be nice, friendly and gentleman-like, especially around females. He followed this advice and its how he has acted all his life. Because of his personality, Lance’s friends jokingly give him the nickname ‘Lancelot’ after the famous fictional knight. He is not afraid of anything and will rush into danger to save or help someone. Lance hates people who are really mean or just plain evil and he makes it his mission to take them down.

When dueling, Lance will complement his opponent on moves they make and sometimes will give them advice if he can tell their struggling with the duel. After a duel, Lance will tell his opponent that it was a good duel, even if it wasn’t.

[spoiler=Deck]His deck consists of Phoenix Guardians----->http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/340176-sakura-agm-phoenix-guardian/

Jack Ellis: Accepted! No questions here!

Dokuko Wakui: Jack and Dokuko seem to have similar personalities, but I still love the idea of a Street Duelist PC. Accepted!

Kori Akuyaku: A simple character, without much backstory other than being a normal citizen. In simpler terms: exactly what I asked for. Accepted!

Kenji Tsusawa: Wow, I was not expecting this kind of character. But it is wildly different from the others, different from any character I've ever had the pleasure of accepting! You're in!

Lance Campton: A perfect human being. A bit uninteresting, but with Marchosias as his Numerix, there is a chance for some morality struggle. I'll accept it, on the expectation that he will discover some previously unknown flaw later on.

Starting this weekend, hopefully.

Alright, primarily male cast . . . time to counterweight with a girl, ehyo.

[spoiler= The Ill Maiden]

Name: Crystal Fraclair

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Appearance: 5'9", but very slender, almost to the point of looking physically fragile. Possesses nearly waist-length brown hair, and very pale skin. Dresses almost exclusively in loose, floaty blue dresses that only make her long limbs look thinner than they already are.

Personality: Generally rather defeatist and depressive, Crystal has little general drive to do much. She's extremely pessimistic, and is quick to come up with reasons people would fail at something. Still, she's pretty easy to rope into doing things because of how little drive she has, and enough of her old endlessly kind spirit remains that she's essentially the world's saddest living doormat.

[spoiler=Background]

Crystal used to be one of the most absolutely upbeat people in all of Destiny City, always ready to help others, always on standby to cheer someone else up. She was born here, and most people knew that if they ever needed anything they could just ask Crystal and she'd be there in moments. She was a cheerful Duelist, a kind soul, and always willing to put her Yuki Onna monsters to work to make an elegant stand, regardless of whether she won or lost.

Then she got sick.

Not too long after her sixteenth birthday, Crystal's immune system practically imploded on itself, and a standard cold was more than enough to leave her bedridden. She spent most of her late teens and early twenties in and out of hospital beds, trying to get her body restored so that she could go back out and see her friends and family without worrying that she'd get sick by touching them.

Modern medical science indeed provided a solution, in the form of immunosupplements that allowed her to freely return home, even if the illnesses assaulting her body kept her frail . . . but her bright personality was finally broken with a two-part attack, as her doctors warned her that she'd never truly recover (in fact, she'd basically only bought herself a few years), and the friends she was so eager to return to forgot her entirely. Her love of life shattered, and everything she used to enjoy seemed to taunt her by never being enough to shake off this depression encroaching on her soul.

She basically just sorta . . . found one of the scattered Numerix cards, and has incorporated it into her Deck's basic style.

Deck: Crystal runs the "Yuki Onna" archetype primarily, but occasionally techs in "Shivergami" monsters to access some higher Levels/Ranks while still taking advantage of WATER support. She also runs "Mistress of Ice", and some S/T support that helps her low-stat WATER monsters function, like "Revitalization Spring", Mystic Blizzard", and "Storm Surge", plus some LP recovery in the form of the "Wishes" Continuous Trap series.

She owns "Numerix-043: Frozen Construct", and hasn't had to stretch too hard to accommodate its presence, especially given its status as a WATER monster.

Misc:

●Despite her depressive nature, she never intentionally forgets her medication, and hasn't even considered suicide.

●In Action Duels, she tries to bring out "Yuki Onna Sumire, Deity of Snow" as soon as possible, because she's too frail to get around as quick as is necessary, and Sumire can fly.

●Knows how to ride a Duel Runner, and is pretty good at it, but doesn't own one.

●Theme tunes::
