Gaelic, an archetype based on Irish/British mythology and folklore.

Hello all, this is my first archetype and I wanted feed back on it. I love mythology from all around the world so I thought I'd make an archetype based on celtic mythology with some british folklore thrown in. Right on time for Saint Patrick's Day. This is meant to be a control heavy deck that can also summon huge beat-sticks. (Morrigan, Dagda, and Lugh have the same stats as Loki, Odin and Thor from the Nordic archetype.)

 

Monsters:

 

Morrigan, Gaelic God of Fate (Level 12)

Dark / Spellcaster / Ritual / Effect

Effect:

You can ritual summon this monster using Gaelic Spirit Mound, this card cannot be summoned by other ways, and when this card is summoned pay 2000 life-points. This monster is unaffected by card effects. Discard two to declare one monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), banish all monsters of the declared type from the field and graveyard and inflict damage 500 points of damage for each monster banished this way. When this card destroys a monster by battle declare one card type, (monster, spell, or trap), your opponent must discard all cards of the declared type. You can only use the effects of this card once per turn.

ATK/DEF: 3300 / 3000

 

Dagda, Gaelic God of Wisdom (Level 12)

Wind / Fairy / Ritual / Effect

Effect:

You can ritual summon this monster using Gaelic Spirit Mound, this card cannot be summoned by other ways, and when this card is summoned pay 2000 life-points. This monster is unaffected by card effects. Discard two cards to declare a monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), your opponent cannot special summon monsters of the declared type for the next three turns. When this card destroys a monster by battle declare a card type, (monster, spell, or trap), all cards on the field of the declared type have their effects negated for three turns. You can only use the effects of this card once per turn.

ATK/DEF: 4000 / 3500

 

Lugh, Gaelic God of Light (Level 12)

Light / Warrior / Ritual / Effect

Effect:

You can ritual summon this monster using Gaelic Spirit Mound, this card cannot be summoned by other ways, and when this card is summoned pay 2000 life-points. This monster is unaffected by card effects. Discard two cards to declare a monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), negate the effects of all monster of the declared type and their attack becomes zero. If this card destroys a monster by battle declare a card type, (monster, spell, or trap), your opponent reveals the top five cards from their deck and banishes all cards of the declared type then reshuffle the remaining. You can only use the effects of this card once per turn.

ATK/DEF: 3500 / 2800

 

Balor, Gaelic God of Evil (Level 6)

Dark / Fiend / Ritual / Effect

Effect:

Once per turn discard two cards to declare one monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), this monster gains attack equal to half the attack of all monsters of the declared type, and the turn this monster activates this effect inflict piercing damage to your opponent if it destroys a monster in defense position. If this card is used for ritual summoning a “Gaelic” monster declare a monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), you can send three monsters from your opponent's extra-deck to the graveyard and your opponent draws two cards. You can only use the effects of this card once per turn

ATK/DEF: 3000 / 2500

 

Lir, Gaelic God of Waves (Level 6)

Water / Fairy / Ritual/ Effect

Effect:

Once per turn discard two cards to declare one card type, (monster, spell, or trap), cards of the declared type cannot activate their card effects until the end of your next turn. If this card is used for ritual summoning a “Gaelic” monster declare a card type, (monster, spell, or trap), send three cards from your opponent's deck to the graveyard then your opponent draws two cards.

ATK/DEF: 2500 / 2100

 

Arwan, Gaelic Ascended of the Dead (Level 4)

Fire / Warrior / Effect

Effect:

When this card is destroyed declare a card type, (monster, spell, or trap), then place this card in the spell and trap card zone as a continuous spell. Cards of the declared type have their effects negated for three turns. After three turns destroy this card then your opponent draws one card. If this card was used as material for the ritual summon of a “Gaelic” monster then monsters destroyed by battle with the monster summoned with this material are banished instead.

ATK/DEF: 1800 / 900

 

Arianrhod, Gaelic Ascended of Night (Level 4)

Wind / Fairy / Effect

Effect:

Flip: declare one monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), all monsters of the declared type have their effects negated and cannot attack until the end of your next turn. If this card was used as material for the ritual summon of a “Gaelic” monster reveal the top three cards of your deck then add one to your hand then banish the rest face down. You can use the effects of this monster once per turn.

ATK/DEF: 1400 / 700

 

Cernunnus, Gaelic Ascended of Nature (Level 4)

Earth / Spellcaster / Effect

Effect:

You can banish this card from your graveyard to declare one monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), niether player can special summon a monster of the declared type until the end of your next turn. If this card was used as material to ritual summon a “Gaelic” monster the summoning of that monster cannot be negated.

ATK/DEF: 1600 / 800

 

Cu Chulainn, The Gaelic Champion (Level 3)

Light / Warrior / Effect

Effect:

When this monster destroys a monster your opponent controls by battle declare one card type, (monster, spell, or trap), your opponent reveals the top three cards from their deck. Any cards of the declared type are sent to the graveyard, and the rest are reshuffled into the deck. If this attacks a defense position monster inflict piercing damage.

ATK/DEF: 1600 / 800

 

Gwyllgi, The Gaelic Beast (Level 3)

Fire / Fiend / Effect

Effect:

Flip: declare one card type, (monster, spell, or trap), then apply one of the following effects.

*Your opponent must reveal their hand then banish one card of the declared type.

*Reveal the top three cards of your deck, and add any card of the declared type to your hand then banish the remaining cards face down.
You can only use this effect once per turn.

ATK/DEF: 1200 / 600

 

Dullahan, The Gaelic Horseman (Level 3)

Dark / Zombie / Effect

Effect:

You can banish this card monster from the graveyard to declare one monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), all monsters of the declared type have their effects negated until the end of the turn. When monsters of the declared type are destroyed by battle the turn this card activate it's effect they are banished instead but your opponent doesn't take battle damage. You can reveal this card and discard one “Gaelic” monster with a different name from your hand to add one ritual spell card from your deck, then banish the cards you revealed from the hand.

ATK/DEF: 1400 / 700

 

Be Chuille, The Gaelic Mage (Level 3)

Wind / Spellcaster / Effect

Effect:

If this card is in your graveyard you can declare one card type, (monster, spell, or trap), your opponent cannot activate card effects of the declared type the turn this effect is activated. If you do this card is banished from your graveyard. You can banish this card from the field, if you do your opponent declares a card type, (monster, spell, or trap), add one card of the declared type from your deck to your hand. You can only use the effect of this card once per turn.

ATK/DEF: 1400 / 700

 

Finn mac Umaill, The Gaelic Ranger (Level 3)

Earth / Fairy / Effect

Effect:

When this card battles a monster your opponent controls declare one monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), this monster gains an extra 500 ATK before damage calculation only. If this card destroys a monster of the declared type it can attack a second time this turn but any damage inflicted as a result of the second attack is halved. You can only use this effect once per turn.

Spells:

 

Gaelic Stone Circle (Field)

Effect:

When this card is on the field ritual monsters you control cannot be tributed. If a ritual monster you control would be destroyed by battle banish the top five cards of your deck face-down instead. If this card leaves the field destroy any ritual monsters you control and take damage equal to the attack of the destroyed ritual monster. You can pay 1000 life-points to add one “Gaelic Rune” card from your deck to your hand, and if you do skip your next battle-phase.

 

Gaelic Spirit Mound (Ritual)

Effect:

This card can be used to ritual summon any “Gaelic” ritual monsters. Tribute at least two “Gaelic” monsters who's levels are exactly equal to the ritual monster you want to summon. If your life-points are 2000 points or lower than your opponent's you can use at least two “Gaelic” monsters in your deck as material to ritual summon a “Gaelic” monster. You cannot ritual summon a level twelve ritual monster if there is one already on your side of the field.

 

Gaelic Rune – Summer (Quick-Play)

Effect:

Once per turn if “Gaelic Stone Circle” is on the field you can pay 800 life-points to destroy a spell or trap card on the field and negate it's effects. This card cannot destroy “Gaelic Stone Circle”.

 

Gaelic Rune – Spring (Quick-Play)

Effect:
Once per turn if “Gaelic Stone Circle” is on the field you can banish one “Gaelic” monster from the graveyard to either draw two cards, or gain 1500 life-points. If you do skip your next battle-phase.

 

Traps:

 

Gaelic Rune – Fall (Counter)

Effect:

Once per turn if “Gaelic Stone Circle” is on the field and your opponent attacks you directly, or attacks a “Gaelic” monster you control pay 2000 life-points to flip all those monsters to face-down defense position. They cannot change battle position, and you can use those monsters as material for ritual summoning a “Gaelic” monster.

 

Gaelic Rune – Winter (Continuous)

Effect:

Once per turn if “Gaelic Stone Circle” is on the field declare one monster type, (ritual, fusion, synchro, XYZ, link), as long as this card remains on the field neither player can summon monsters of the declared type. While this card remains on the field skip your draw phase, and during your standby phase discard one card. If you have no cards in hand, or “Gaelic Stone Circle” leaves the field, destroy this card. If this card leaves the field you take 3000 points of damage.
