[Written] Quarzi!

You know this is going to be a weird archetype when I tell you it was inspired by an attempt to build Lunalight/Predaplant.

 

Suffice it to say that I found the idea really cool, and in fact got stuck and frustrated by the fact that there were a few key cards of both I was missing, and I still don't have a Starve Venom. However, in doing so I got quite frustrated by how cramped my Main and Extra Deck would have to get to do what it would need to. So, I got to fantasizing and here we are.

 

I changed the relevant Attribute to WIND to limit abuse, and decided to use the Sea Serpent-Type because I legitimately think that this could potentially get kinda stupid.

 

So . . . yeah. Fusion. Also, their effects are worded the way they are because I suppose dedicated anti-Link needs to be a thing.

Quarzi Remora

WIND - Level 1 - Sea Serpent/Effect - 400/500

If your opponent's monster declares an attack, you can Special Summon this monster from your hand to decrease the Level/Rank of all monsters your opponent controls by 2 (You can only activate this effect of "Quarzi Remora" once per turn). Monsters your opponent controls cannot attack, except monsters whose Level/Rank is greater than the Level of the highest-Level "Quarzi" monster you control. You can Fusion Summon 1 Fusion monster using "Quarzi" monsters you control as Material (you can only activate this effect of "Quarzi Remora" once per turn).

 

Quarzi Granjaw

WIND - Level 2 - Sea Serpent/Tuner/Effect - 1000/1000

When this monster is Normal or Special Summoned from your hand, you can Special Summon 1 "Quarzi" monster from your Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. Once per turn, you can decrease the Level/Rank of all monsters your opponent controls by 1. If this monster battles your opponent's monster, except a monster of a higher Level/Rank than this monster, you can destroy the opposing monster at the start of the Damage Step, and if you do, increase this monster's Level by 2.

 

Quarzi Horror

WIND - Level 2 - Sea Serpent/Effect - 800/800

You can discard this card to select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Add 1 "Polymerization" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

●Special Summon 1 "Quarzi" monster from your Graveyard, except "Quarzi Horror".

If this card is sent to the Graveyard as Fusion Material, lower the Level/Rank of all Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls by 2, also the Fusion Summoned monster gains an additional attack this turn for every monster your opponent controls, except monsters whose Level/Rank is higher than its Level.

 

Quarzi Devourer

WIND - Level 3 - Sea Serpent/Effect - 1200/1000

When this monster is Normal or Special Summoned, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon 1 "Quarzi" monster from your Deck in face-up Defense Position, except "Quarzi Devourer" (you can only activate this effect of "Quarzi Devourer" once per turn). You can send this monster from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard to target 1 Fusion monster you control: That target gains 500 ATK, also its Level is increased by 1. If this monster is used as Fusion Material for the Summon of a "Quarzi" monster, you can Special Summon 1 "Quarzi" monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "Quarzi Devourer".

 

Quarzi Tegreel

WIND - Level 3 - Sea Serpent/Effect - 0/1600

If your opponent controls a Level/Rank 5 or higher monster, you can discard this card from your hand to decrease the Level/Rank of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls by a number up to the number of monsters your opponent controls, and if you do, you can add 1 "Quarzi" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "Quarzi" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Quarzi Tegreel". If this monster is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, draw 1 card. You can only activate each effect of "Quarzi Tegreel" once per turn.

 

Quarzi Frilldra

WIND - Level 4 - Sea Serpent/Effect - 1600/1200

You can Tribute this face-up monster to target 1 "Quarzi" monster you control: That target's original ATK is doubled until the End Phase, also its Level is increased by 2. If this monster battles your opponent's monster, except a monster whose Level/Rank is greater than this monster's Level: You can add 1 "Quarzi" monster from your Deck to your hand at the start of the Damage Step. A Fusion monster Summoned using this monster as Material is unaffected by your opponent's Spell/Trap Cards during the turn it is Summoned.

 

Quarzi Megalodon

WIND - Level 5 - Sea Serpent/Effect - 2100/1400

You can Special Summon this monster (from your hand) by Tributing your opponent's monster of the lowest Level/Rank (you can only Summon "Quarzi Megalodon" once per turn this way). You can send 1 "Quarzi" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard: Increase the Level of all face-up "Quarzi" monsters you control by 2 (you can only activate this effect of "Quarzi Megalodon" once per turn). If a "Quarzi" monster you control battles your opponent's monster, except a monster of a higher Level/Rank, all battle damage your opponent receives from that battle is doubled.

Quarzi Hunt

Normal Spell

Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Quarzi" monster from your Graveyard, with its Level increased by 1. You can banish this card from your Graveyard: Add 1 "Quarzi" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate each effect of "Quarzi Hunt" once per turn.

 

Quarzi Polymerization

Normal Spell

Fusion Summon 1 "Quarzi" Fusion monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control and/or in your hand as Materials, and if you do, decrease the Level/Rank of all monsters your opponent controls by 1. You can banish this card from your Graveyard, except during the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard, to Fusion Summon 1 "Quarzi" Fusion monster from your Graveyard, using monsters you control, and exactly 1 monster your opponent controls, as Material: That opponent's monster is treated as a "Quarzi" monster for this Summon. You can only activate each effect of "Quarzi Fusion" once per turn.

 

Quarzi Invasion

Continuous Spell

When this card is activated, you can add 1 Sea Serpent-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Quarzi" monster from your Graveyard, except a Fusion monster, but if you do, you cannot Normal Summon/Set this turn. During each of your Standby Phases, pay 800 LP or destroy this card.

 

Quarzi Devastation

Continuous Spell

When this card is activated, you can Special Summon 1 "Quarzi" monster from your hand or Graveyard. "Quarzi" monsters you control gain 100 ATK times their Level. Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 "Quarzi" monster you control: Special Summon 1 "Quarzi" monster of a lower Level than the Tributed monster from your Deck or Graveyard with its effects on the field negated.

 

Quarzi Presence

Continuous Spell

During each of your Standby Phases, decrease the Level/Rank of all monsters your opponent controls by 1 (min. 0). If your opponent does not control a Level/Rank 2 or higher monster, they cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards. During each of your End Phases, pay 1000 Life Points or destroy this card.

 

Unleashed Quarzi

Quick-Play Spell

Target 1 face-up "Quarzi" monster you control: Its Level is doubled until the End Phase, also it is unaffected by all cards and effects (except its own) until the end of the turn. You can only activate 1 "Unleashed Quarzi" pet turn. While a monster targeted by "Unleashed Quarzi" is face-up on the field, it cannot be targeted by "Unleashed Quarzi".

 

Quarzi Tornado

Counter Trap

If your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card while you control the monster on the field with the highest Level, you can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. Then, if you control a face-up "Quarzi" Fusion monster, you can destroy a number of Spell/Trap Cards your opponent controls for every 4 Levels the highest-Level "Quarzi" monster you control has.

Quarzi Zephyr Zalgyst

WIND - Level 6 - Sea Serpent/Fusion/Effect - 2200/1500

1 "Quarzi" monster + 1 WIND monster

Must first be Fusion Summoned. This monster gains 100 ATK times its current Level. Monsters your opponent controls lose 200 ATK and DEF times this monster's current Level during the Battle Phase, except monsters whose Level/Rank is higher than this monster's Level. If this monster destroys your opponent's monster by battle, select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Increase this monster's Level by 1, also decrease the Level/Rank of all monsters your opponent controls by 1.

●Draw 1 card.

 

Quarzi Skymaera

WIND - Level 6 - Sea Serpent/Fusion/Effect - 2200/1600

1 "Quarzi" monster + 1 Sea Serpent-Type monster

Once per turn, you can banish 1 face-up card on the field, except a monster whose Level/Rank is higher than this monster's Level. If this monster battles your opponent's monster, except a monster whose Level/Rank is higher than this monster's Level, the opposing monster's ATK and DEF are halved, also this monster gains 200 ATK. During the End Phase of the turn this card leaves the field, you can add 1 "Polymerization" or "Fusion" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

 

Quarzi Gusterror

WIND - Level 7 - Sea Serpent/Fusion/Effect - 2400/1800

1 "Quarzi" monster + 1 Level 5 or higher monster

Must first be Fusion Summoned using the above Materials. The effects of all monsters on the field and in the Graveyard are negated, except the effects of "Quarzi" monsters and monsters whose Level/Rank is greater than or equal to this monster's current Level. Once per turn, you can target 1 monster on the field whose Level/Rank is less than or equal to this monster's current Level: Destroy that target, and if you do, increase this monster's Level by the destroyed monster's original Level/Rank. If this monster is destroyed, inflict damage to your opponent equal to this monster's Level on the field x200.

 

Quarzi Hurrikraken

WIND - Level 8 - Sea Serpent/Fusion/Effect - 2800/2000

2 "Quarzi" monsters on the field

Must first be Fusion Summoned using the above Materials. Once per turn, if a monster your opponent controls, except a monster whose Level/Rank is higher than this monster's Level, would activate its effect on the field, you can negate that monster's effects, and if you do, increase this monster's ATK by that monster's current ATK until the end of the turn. This monster can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. At the start of the Damage Step, if this monster battles your opponent's monster with a Level/Rank, you can lower the opposing monster's Level/Rank by 1, also increase this monster's Level by 1, and if you do, this monster gains 300 ATK times the difference between the Level/Rank of the opposing monster and this monster's current Level.
