I mean, there's no rule that says all cards in Custom Cards cannot be written (and it'd be pretty foolish to have it, considering there are only a finite number of images out there and a lot of them either have "don't use" tags on dA or whatever or just not up to one's fancy). I really don't get why that was separated in Custom Cards a long time ago either.

But yeah, I kinda don't draw either (and as you probably notice by now, if I do use my own art, it's generally because of Photoshop/GIMP stuff). At least vector art doesn't look too bad.

Speaking of which...

[spoiler=In the background is what that vector looks like (or least an earlier version)]

(Still don't understand why YCM shrinks stuff from Wikia, so...)

I'll post the vectored version of that last one later on, since I finally got the eye position and stuff I wanted from the pic.

That's technically how I do all of my vector art (scan to computer, make it digital on Photoshop), so...yeah. As for the eyes, still remains a major problem (but that's usually due to the sketch). So yeah, don't worry if it looks bad; least you can fix things digitally, as opposed to hand drawn where you MUST get it right the first time.

If the eyes come out bad, just reshape the layers or something.

Do you use PS to do your stuff, or something else?

Yeah I generally use Photoshop.

Finished playing Ori and the Blind Forest, and got inspired again. However, decided to use this opportunity to test out GIMP, which I feel in love with despite the many arduous trials along the way, due to its capabilities such as basic anchor points, something lacking in PaintDOTnet. Made coloring in and fx much easier to perform, and resulted in me being slack with the glow around Ori. Background is taken from the game, with a few edits here and there such as in brightness and contrast, yet I still couldn't decide how to place Ori and Sein in such a way that their light colors didn't clash with the similarly bright background.

Ah well, should probably practice making my own backgrounds.

We should all learn how to make our own backgrounds in GIMP; it's possible but just requires figuring out a lot of the filters. I technically haven't yet, even though I do a fair amount of image stuff.

[spoiler=Yeah, I said I'd post vector art when I was satisfied with the result]

(The actual vector looks nicer, but perspective tool and stuff; adding that one later when I get on my desktop.)

I think this one came out good (well, considering that I only redid the vector from the 2015 drawing first one was based on [and c/p'd medal], instead of a literal redrawing). Also colors are lighter and closer to the source one; too light now, but it'll get there. Or you can assume "being cloaked in lightning and stuff makes your fur color lighter than it really is".

You kinda have to click the links because again, YCM, for whatever asinine reason, shrinks stuff from VigLink / Wikia.

(There's a ton of reindeer art because I'm working on a Custom Card set involving them; need to finish them before 11:59 pm New Year's Eve my time.)

Both of the above arts look good though.

This is what I spent the last moments of 2017 doing, outside of updating my reindeer set in general (and just barely beating the deadline for posting all the card art and stuff by 10 minutes).

[spoiler=Reindeer art was totally the best way to end the year before fireworks, right?]

So quite literally, I drew this, vectored it in Photoshop (will be below) and then got it made into a card.

This is supposed to be female, but eyes might make it look more masculine. And yeah, you can probably figure that I did base this partly on Hikari/Dawn from D/P. Bow technically is based on one that's on a stuffed animal, sans the red lines.

Remember my other avatar? Yeah, character got an upgraded form and this came out. Think of it as a cross between reindeer and Naruto, because yeah, I literally gave it a headband / forehead protector. Second one's supposed to be holding kunai with teeth and stuff.

(I mean, I still like the series [well, at least stuff before the full-on Boruto anime/manga], so...)

Also because this was also the last card I made for 2017, and used the first artwork, so...

(Also an idea of what the series 10 template looks like, for whenever we actually get it implemented)

[spoiler=Vector pics]

Yeah, it's big because I vectored it from the hand drawn; shrinking is later.

KeqE5Hz.png

Also, I said I'd post a certain other one, so...here you go.

(And I suppose this means they're sticking around for a good while into 2018)

Oh yeah, and Happy New Year.

I don't like double posting in threads that aren't mine, but updated stuff, I guess.

[spoiler=Not really hand drawing stuff, but some stuff I made recently]

(I'll leave its Wikia location so you can look at it within your leisure. Also yeah, reference to the character who I've been using an avatar of since 2010. Render and petals aren't mine though, but the latter is the type I use often for tags.)

Gamemat I referenced earlier.

If you want to play ARC-V format on this, just use the EMZs as the Pendulum Zones, I guess. Also Zoey looks different on the mat, because of perspective tool.

Hopefully I get time to actually draw stuff...that aren't free body or pressure diagrams -_-

It's fine to double post. It's been over a week since there was a post over here so I actually welcome the new activity xP

Hadn't seen new art of Sakura in a long time. Part of the background effects remind me of the YCM shop effects for Secret Rares. It looks good.

Sakura's pose reminds me of the beginning of the 4th opening (Fighting Dreamers), but she's in her shippuden design.

The deer look better every time you post them again. They look smooth and their faces' expressions are kinda cute xD

Behind the right deer's neck, in the space between the S/T Zones, I think the colors of two deer sort of melds together.

This time a little break and something a little more simple. I'm trying to re-draw one of my OCs but since she's a fairly smaller person than I'm used to drawing, I end up always changing her proportions towards a more teen/young adult like image, instead of the intended elementary aged.

To be fair, I usually re-correct and adjust these things when I am going for a final drawing, so these might not be a lost cause but still, I feel the struggle.

It's been a while since I last submitted something so, here's the 6th entry of my latest ongoing theme

[spoiler=Here]

A bit out of the loop... But, anywho:

I knew you could work the Jellyfish in that arch theme... Good Job! :D

I love it a lot.

Thanks xD

It wasn't easy. Something I keep since my latest 20-ish marker drawings is the first drawn versions. You can probably see how this initial wacky mess shaped up xD

BTW, the copic code at the bottom, ignore it. It was a reminder for myself that I need to buy refill ink for it xD

Well... I guess as agonizing as the progression process can be, It can and will eventually be achieved if one strives hard enough. Thank you for being an example of this... I am feeling inspired to attack some of my own stuff this weekend. :)

This is mostly just a progress report of what I've been up to. No fancy drawings right now xD
Though I've been trying to learn proper photoshop and trying to use my Bamboo tablet. A little bit further down the Wacom page for the program I needed to install and I would have assumed it was flat out discontinued lol.

I suck at digital stuff. Have a basic understanding of layers and can use a brush and an eraser. Not much else. Some job openings that'd require the skill have been opening up in my huh... County/area/zone/city? so I'm basically trying to dream big at the moment with very little ground to stand on.

I doodled up some random chibi kawaii anime girl with shaky grips and no real direction. No color, no layers, just to test if I had finally made brushes + pressure work.

[spoiler=Also this]

^The second one is not at the point I left it, but it is at the last saved point that I could achieve without cringe-worthy results. I think my biggest mistake was starting with the face, rather than the head or the body. Don't usually work like that but hey, I don't usually do digital work to begin with.

^-^"
I'll hopefully get the grip of it soon.
