Le Crayon Corner~

Probably card effects because you deal with more effect removal than battle nowadays, but could probably extend it to attacks too [not like Links care though for obvious reasons]. Better saved for CC though.

Then again, even for designing it after the riding equivalent, should've had one more button at the top. Real jackets usually do have 3 and certainly don't taper into longer sleeves, but you don't necessarily have to follow proper design to the letter. Suppose you could consider them for easier movement or something, I guess (or I inadvertently borrowed the idea from Senbonzakura Miku pics). Or perspective, which I still need to work on.

=====

As for Dova, not really sure what would fit as a BG since I know nothing about Medarots or the series in general. But the redraw looks good.

Oh yeah, he asked you for artwork for the Carnimals iirc (or is this something else)? Should be fine without the added details.

Looks fine though.

Yes this one's Carnimal Fluffy Foal.

Well.... he hasn't seen it yet. xP

Thanks!

I was looking for some papers earlier and stumbled upon a drawing of Mystical Elf I had tried to start last year.

I attempted reworking it, but it just doesn't look right....

The perspective for these kinds of shots is killing me. I'll probably end up re-starting the sketch altogether xD

I can't figure it out

Had the idea for this monster some time, but never actually fully worked it out... until now. Mostly used Krita; only used Gimp for generating the background.

Oh, nice! If/when you get around to making the card, feel free to mention it. I'll drop by the thread xP

So, anyone can just come in and post their stuff, right?

Well, just thought I'd post a WIP chalk pastel drawing of Widowmaker that I'm working on. Let me know what y'all think so far:

That's just amazing. I'd like to give in any feedback but honestly, this is a ton better than what I'd be able to do there.

I've been meaning to comment something about it but pretty much I'll be looking forward to seeing it completed.

Welcome to the club xD

I happen to be making a snail on Pain Tool Sai. Though unlike you, I've been procrastinating a ton with mine for a few weeks because... well... I still can't get comfortable with digital ^^"

I made a thread about it if you wanna comment on that. Otherwise I can post it here.

'preciate the feedback!

Currently drawing this little piece of fanart.

Left is Tricky, a witch from this animation video.

Middle one is Opal, a witch from the Harpy Gee webcomic.
To the right is Amber, a fairy godmother from a short comic series called Mega Princess.
They are all characters of the same artist.

I'm currently stuck on the fact I think Amber should look bigger than how she is right now, and drawing in this style is proving to be surprisingly difficult for me xD

  • 2 weeks later...

Just to figure out the buttons and finally try to do something digital, I made a crappy test run of Flash.

Macromedia Flash 2004... I still can't figure out where I can adjust any onion settings, because the way things are right now it'll be a pain when something less simple is attempted...

This test run is YOLO incarnate, not keeping up with decent line work or volumes right at all xD

Edit: Second experiment:

It's been past a week so time for a new upload:

Wanted to make some sort of alternate art for a Toon World-like card, but my current style doesn't highlight that very well xD
Still pretty happy with the result ;9

It's fine; no one's judging you because of the quality. Granted, you get all of those artists who make amazing art on Pixiv and stuff, but you usually need SAI and stuff (including a tablet) for that.

Yeah, I technically use Photoshop for coloring and stuff because I lack either of those two and the path tool for vectoring ends up being choppy. I mean, it's doable, but you need steadier hands to not make it choppy (or take a lot longer with zooming).

It's been a while~

Here's something was working on.
For all the stuff I've ever posted, something that's always been strangely hard for me to draw is a character standing doing nothing.... I've never done it before xD

This is a character sheet for my little witch girl. Or rather, half of it. I am gonna sketch out more but trying to showcase the character's personality more... Not sure if I'll get around to post those tonight or even this week, but yeah....

Sorry I don't have a more complete drawing. Not yet at least xD

Don't worry about it; hands and feet are usually the hardest parts to draw for humans / humanoid-like creatures [well, that and faces].

It looks fine overall; let's assume you're recoloring/retouching this in Photoshop and stuff. You usually get an opportunity to correct the errors you don't like in there.

[spoiler=Octopus]

Had an idea for a card series of (water) monsters that emit light (bioluminescence) for quite a while. So I decided to start drawing the first monster for the series... though I had some trouble getting the shading the way I wanted it. The same applies for its suction cups. Hence I decided to make it a "regular" octopus instead (for now at least). Despite those missing features, I am quite happy with how it turned out.

Can agree with Dova here; the art looks good so far. Probably will look even better once the background is added.

IDK, you probably could make the leaves more metallic-like, since this is technically a mechanical turnip, not organic, but you did say detail's being added later so...

Not a bad suggestion... Perhaps I could keep the same simplicity that Dova mentioned, but give the leaves an even more defined shape like a column of diamonds or something to give it that in-organic look. I'll play around with that.
