(6000 POSTS!) Lucky Punch

Recommended Posts

Well, in my opinion, the chances of this card's success is very small, only 1/8, and you have the same chance for it's early demise..., even though it seems promising, it really isn't. Maybe if the effect can be applied more than once per turn, it could work more frequently.

Plus you have that 6000 damage risk if the card is destroyed, which is bad, but this can be used for certain interactions, like converting the damage into ATK, dealing the same amount of effect damage to the opponent, or changing the loss of LP into an LP gain, which can be quite benefical and surprising. Unfortunately, I do not know the names of the cards which possess this traits, help would be appreciated.

Bear in mind, this card does not inflict damage, so cards that interact with you taking damage won't work.

What cards would interact with this, then?

Effects that interact with Coin Flips, such as Second Coin Toss, and things that can negate its effect in the Graveyard. Unfortunately Soul Drain only works on monsters.

It activates, unlike Brain Research Lab's burn. So you could chain a negation effect.

No, I mean, in terms of the LP loss. What interacts with that?

I'm pretty sure there is nothing that interacts with LP loss directly... I mean why else would they use a rarely used wording like "lose" instead of "inflict"? So you don't have much of means to circumvent what you got coming to you for activating such a risky card with a presumably high reward.

Really mate, do you think there's a card that reads "if you would lose LP you gain that amount intead?"

Ok, Imma NS Gale Dogra, mill Nt'ss, mill Arc Light, mill Omega, mill Omega, loop?

This card's existence is more bemusing then Angelic 2 The Core. It's about the same quality as well. MST was a staple and at 3 too when this came out right? I will be waiting though for the replay that includes this card successfully resolving. Also is that Rescue Rabbit vs Behemoth the King of All Animals, with the Rabbit trying to fight back against that big thing? How brave

this card is pure meme tier. resolving it can lead to unprecedented hype, but therin also lies the problem. you are just not going to resolve this before your opponent takes the free shot.. not in the current format, not in the past formats, and likely not in any future formats. if you want jank, you'd be better off just running destructive draw, it's half the damage of this, and pays for itself far more consistently under the same conditions.

Cup of Ace makes this look like a joke and cup of Ace is horrible itself..

The only viable thing I can imagine using this for is powering up number 35 by destroying itself early game. Though  Gale Dogra for example does the thing better anyway.

No, I was wrong. I can't possibly think of a use for this

You control 2 Lucky Punch, face-up. Your opponent attacks.

Since both of them are optional "when" effects, only 1 of them will work, as otherwise the last action for the other would be Lucky Punch happening, not the attack.

Yeah, no. For the same reason that you can activate Torrential Tribute as Chain Link 2
