Hello, fine peoples! I've been working on and off with this archetype for the past week. I wanted to experiment with the "Parasite Paracide" mechanic of shuffling monsters into the opponent's Deck so I came up with these quirky tabloid psychics that do just that.

[spoiler Field Spell]Gossipville

Field Spell

When this card is activated, both players add 1 "Slandermate" card from their Deck to their hand (if possible). Once per turn, you can turn 1 "Slandermate" monster in your Deck face-up then shuffle your Deck; place 2 Tabloid Counters on this card. All "Slandermate" monsters you control gain 100 ATK and DEF for each Tabloid Counter on this card. If this card is targeted by a card effect, you can remove 1 Tabloid Counter from this card; negate that effect and shuffle that card into the Deck.

One of the key cards of the Deck. Its search effect is helpful, but it's the opponent's search that is often more important.

EARTH ****

Psychic/Effect

Once per turn, you can target 1 Set card you control and 1 Set card your opponent controls; send them to the Graveyard. If this face-up card leaves the field, you can shuffle it face-up in your opponent's Deck. If this face-up card is added from your Deck to your hand (by search or draw), you must discard this card and send 2 monsters you control to the Graveyard (send all if less than 2).

Once per turn, you can change all face-up "Slandermate" monsters in your Deck face-down (min. 1). If you do, you can target 1 face-up card on the field; its effects are negated. If this face-up card leaves the field, you can shuffle it face-up in your opponent's Deck. If this face-up card is added from your Deck to your hand (by search or draw), you must discard this card and banish 2 Spell/Trap cards from your hand or side of the field (banish all if less than 2).

The monsters all have decently helpful first effects, but it's their Deck effects that are the most dangerous. Combo with the field spell and your opponent will have a tough time keeping up.

[spoiler Spells/Traps (6)]Hot Topic

Spell

Both players add 1 "Slandermate" monster from their Deck to their hand (if possible). If a player doesn't add a card to their hand by this effect, they can draw 1 card then discard 1 card. You can only activate 1 "Hot Topic" per turn.

News Flash

Quick-play Spell

Discard 1 "Slandermate" card; draw 2 cards. If you draw a Spell/Trap card(s) that includes "Slandermate" in its card effect: you can reveal 1 of those cards; until the next End Phase, you can activate that card from your hand as a quick effect.

On the Scene

Spell

Turn 2 "Slandermate" monsters in your Deck face-up. Special Summon 1 "Slandermate" monster from your Deck. You cannot Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck during the turn you activate this effect.

Snitching

Spell

Target 1 "Slandermate" monster you control. Your opponent excavates the top card of their Deck. If it is a monster, banish that monster, then place the target on top of their Deck face-up. Otherwise, send the excavated card to the Graveyard.

Lost Reputation

Trap

If you control a "Slandermate" monster, you can target 1 face-up card on the field; it's effects are negated, and if the target was a monster, it loses 1000 ATK and DEF. During your Main Phase 1, if this card is in the Graveyard, you can turn 2 "Slandermate" monsters in your Deck face-up and if you do, Set this card. You can only use this effect of "Lost Reputation" once per turn.

Slandermate Developing Story

Continuous Spell

Once per turn, you can look at the top 8 cards of your opponent's Deck. If there are any face-up "Slandermate" monsters among them, place them on top of the opponent's Deck in any order. The rest of the cards are placed at the bottom of the Deck in any order. If there are no face-up "Slandermate" monsters among them, shuffle them back into the Deck, then flip the top 3 cards of your Deck face-up. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; shuffle 1 face-up "Slandermate" monster from your Deck into your opponent's Deck.

The media that makes the Deck go round. With the monsters' Deck effects being so potentially self-destructive, it gives the Deck an in-built cost system that the Spells/Traps use to make both players' Decks more and more dangerous the longer the game goes on.

Thoughts? Queries? CnC? Any of it would be much appreciated!

Archetype based on seeing your future or your opponent's future, looks fun. Risk and Rewards.

[spoiler=Pluses]

  • The ability to give opponent monsters, force Searches and Draws,
  • If a player gets hit by any of the effect, that'd pretty much cost them 2 turns or so.
  • The original owner has a Safety button (Slandermate Secret) , but the opponent doesn't.
  • 2+ cards transfer from Deck to Deck, not just a single

Tbh, I wouldn't like to play against this Deck because of it's ability to control the Decks. The original owner would be able to manipulate the opponent into not playing yugioh

or having a hard time playing yugioh, there would be too much Losses involved. But, I can't judge if it is Overpowered, Balanced or Underpowered as I haven't played a similar or against a similar Deck yet. But I respect the thought process that was put behind it, effects of Monsters/Spells/Traps. Their Synergy looks perfect together.
