So, this is the Luard deck that's been making waves in Japan. Well, not so much making waves as much as just topping every now and then in the sea of Granblue and Gear Chronicle. The idea of the deck is relatively simple; be unkillable and win via deckout or Diablo strides. It's called anti-meta because, as you can see, it's designed to counter at the very least three decks that has been prominent in Japan, namely Nightrose, Sanctuary Guard, and Dimensional Robo.

Tech Choices:

8 10k Vanillas

10k vanillas has been a prominent part of the Japanese metagame since Nightrose and Sanctuary Guard became even more ridiculous after G-BT08, but this deck ups the ante and plays 8 copies instead of 4. The reason for this is pretty simple; 9k and 14k-19k are important numbers in Nightrose and Sanctuary Guard respectively. Nightrose likes to rush with Negrorook, Negrolazy and 9k column with Grenache + RSB, riding a 10k vanilla stops that. Against Sanc Guard, you can 5k guard a Benon column and 10k guard a Llew + Barcgal column, preventing early damage and allowing you to tank the Regalie turn. Additionally, being 10k synergizes with two important cards of the deck, Black-winged Swordbreaker and Belial Owl, creating 16k and 14k columns.

Sharp Fang Witch, Fodla

Fodla is pretty self-explanatory. You use 1 CB to fill your field with Owls and give you pluses. It also serves as an important recovery tool against boardwipes. It does suck when you ride her, that's why we only play 2.

Remaining Revenger, Conra

The other important tech choice in this deck, Conra allows you to pump Morfessa by 5k, creating 26k column with a 7k booster. Additionally, it allows you to dump unneeded units and dig through your deck so you can reach your stack of Belials quicker.

Sample Combos:

Precon: 3 Open CB, first stride, Fodla in hand, Luard VG, Belial Owl in RG either a strider in hand or Ritual 3 active.

1. Stride into Aurageyser Doomed. (Hand 1)

2. Stride skill, sack Belial, call Swordbreaker and another Belial

3. Swordbreaker skill and Belial skill, Swodbreaker SBs an Esras (Hand 3)

4. Doomed skill, sacking Belial and your SVG (David) (Hand 6)
5. Fodla skill, calling Conra and Belial (Hand 5)
6. Conra skill, discarding Esras to give 5k to any unit (Hand 5)
7. Esras skill, sacking Belial to add a copy from drop to hand (Hand 7)

8. Drive check puts you up to 10 hand.

Matchup and other combos writeup coming soon. Not that there's many combos to go through since the deck is not combo-oriented, but rather grindy.
