This message will be removed after some time. As you all probably know by now, DNF went down recently. One of my friends took it upon himself to save some of my CAC threads, which I am reuploading here.

Welcome to my weekly project, Normalized!
Every Friday, I will give an archetype a Normal Monster. I will prioritize decks that do not yet have vanillas of their own. Each Normal monster will be designed with a competitive purpose, and some of them will be Pendulums and have Pendulum effects. The OP will also be updated with my later posts. If you want me to support a specific deck, feel free to post suggestions (though I doubt most of you use Normals in any context, to be honest XD).
The lore may include storylines or references, or they might not, but I hope you enjoy them nevertheless.

Newest Card(s):
24 March 2017: Vylon
Vylons are an idea I'd been wanting to do for a long time, thanks to the inspiration of Noble Knights who missed a golden opportunity to create new-wave Geminis. Despite having the idea, I created many other alternative Geminis before finally returning to this idea, which was probably the first. This card plays on the alternative-unlock condition: A Gemini that becomes an Effect Monster via means other than the Normal Summon. With Vylons, of course, it has to be via Equip Spells. As a side thing, I made it a Gemini Union to make Union support somewhat less inconsistent, and also because I can't resist it. I would apologize but I'm not sorry.
Vylon Rhombus
Level 4 LIGHT Machine Gemini Union
300/200
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up in a Monster Zone or in the Graveyard. While equipped with an Equip Spell Card, this card becomes an Effect Monster with this effect.
Once per turn: You can target 1 "Vylon" monster in your Graveyard, except "Vylon Rhombus"; Special Summon it, then if it is a Synchro or XYZ Monster, you can equip 1 "Vylon" Equip Spell Card from your Deck to that monster.
Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Vylon" monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. If the equipped monster battles an opponent's monster, that opponent's monster has its effects negated until the end of the Damage Step, also if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.

[spoiler=Card Log]
[spoiler=11 Dec 2015: Evolsaurs]
To start this off, we will have Evolsaurs, for obvious applications towards their very own Dinorabbit plays, as well as more Evolzar enabling via Normal monster support (use Painful Decision to setup Vulcano, or Swing of Memories/Unexpected Dai to get an immediate material out!).
Evolsaur Dubi (after Nomen dubium)
Level 4 FIRE Dinosaur
1700/1800
"An unusual dinosaur that appears to have appropriated traits of its already oddly evolved Evolsaur cousins during its evolution path. Its fossils bedevil paleontologists, because they often mistake its bones as the bones of other dinosaurs."

[spoiler=18 Dec 2015: Burning Abyss]
One of the early inspirations for this thread, Burning Abyss have uses for Normal monsters that don't necessarily apply to other archetypes. Aside from the regular Unexpected Dai plays and the like, Geryon allows Burning Abyss to field non-Burning Abyss without locking out their other plays. Other archetypal effects complement Normal support nicely.
Geryon, Chimera of the Burning Abyss (after Geryon's portrayal in the Inferno)
Level 3 DARK Fiend
1750/0
"What is he?
He is fraud, serving hell,
Bearing Malebranches on his back."

[spoiler=25 Dec 2015: Gusto]
Though I'm not too fond of Gusto, their potential interactions with Normal monsters are quite amusing. Normal monsters fill the grave reasonably well, especially now that Painful Decision is a thing, providing fodder for the Gusto Spells, Caam, and Pilica. This card can, of course, be searched reasonably well through the Gusto floating chain, and fun interactions with Painful Escape and Swallow's Nest let it search Gusto Griffin and Falco.
Gusto Owlo
Level 2 WIND Winged-Beast Tuner
1000/1000
"Though it is hard to tell, this owl has put many years behind him and lived through many wars. He is the last of the Gusto clan, and spends his time telling stories about the Gustos to their descendants, the Spiritual Beasts."

[spoiler=1 Jan 2016: Malicevorous]
Another original inspiration for this thread, the Malicevorous have some extended applications for Normal monsters. An unreliable one would be Tri-Wight to go for the rank 2 plays they already aim for, but there are other interactions available. Dark Factory allows for more fodder for Fork, as well as for Herald of Pure Light should you use it. Painful Decision lets you quickly set up Knife and Spoon (in Spoon's case, it gives another option to activate its effect as well, potentially in tandem with Cry Havoc).
Malicevorous Plate
Level 2 DARK Fiend
800/0
"The largest and strongest Malicevorous, this small demon is also the most fragile of its group. Simply tripping risks its destruction."

[spoiler=8 Jan 2016: U.A.]
A simple support card meant to help Ultra Athletes get their plays going. Rescue Rabbit becomes a key interaction, allowing them to quickly search Midfielder via MX-Saber Invoker or letting them put out 2 Ultra Athletes from the hand, potentially more with Cry Havoc allowing reuse of it. And, of course, it serves as a more searchable Normal Summon to trigger the Field.
U.A. Fireblood Rookie
Level 3 EARTH Warrior
1600/200
"An up-and-coming athlete who's not quite ready for the field. He nevertheless brings 120% of his effort no matter where he is or what he's doing, even if it's just cheering from the sidelines. His enthusiasm is infectious, and his teammates can't wait for him to leave the bench and start his star career."

[spoiler=15 Jan 2016: Photon]
This level 4 is made to support Photons, and could arguably be among the best members of the archetype, because the rest of them are almost entirely bad. It is able to provide 2 Tributes for a Galaxy-Eyes Summon off a Rescue Rabbit, or even better, actually make Starliege Galaxion playable. Myriad other uses include being an Advanced Ritual Art target for Paladin of Photon Dragon, allowing you to summon Galaxy Knight with Unexpected Dai, and serving as relatively low-cost fodder for Galaxy Soldier.
On 25 Feb 2017, this card was changed to a Dragon so it could also be used with Galaxy Stealth Dragon. As a side note, one interaction I forgot to mention earlier is that you can Advanced Ritual Art it with Paladin of Photon Dragon.
Photon Draconian
Level 4 LIGHT Dragon
2000/0
"Those who have received strength from awakening a spiritual connection to the Galaxy-Eyes Dragons. They are not quite human or dragon and possess prodigious strength.

[spoiler=22 Jan 2016: Odd-Eyes Dragon]
I've always felt some monsters would be better as vanillas, and this is especially true for the regular Odd-Eyes Dragon. This card serves as a substitute. Being a vanilla gains Hieratic support, and makes Odd-Eyes Saber more usable.
Odd-Eyes Primal Dragon
Level 7 DARK Dragon
2500/2000
"The progenitor of the Odd-Eyes line. Though originally forgotten in the depths of time, it has returned from the past to join its descendants in their rise in the present."
(This card is always treated as "Odd-Eyes Dragon")

[spoiler=29 Jan 2016: Geargia]
The premise behind this week's CAC is that I don't think Geargia have enough easy-XYZ buttons already. This addition adds Unexpected Dai, Rescue Rabbit, Machine Dupe, and even Debris Dragon. If any of you actually reads this, I do want to know if you think it should be level 3 or 4. As it is, Geargiagear can now also be a rank 5 button, which I do find quite cute. This would probably also be the easiest vanilla to use Faustian Bargain with, because it's very easy to get to the hand.
Geargianormal
Level 4 EARTH Machine
0/1900
"A member of the Geargianos, who gain superpowers when they equip themselves with various armors! They can even combine to form even stronger mecha!"

[spoiler=5 Feb 2016: Infernoid]
A little idea for Infernoids that take advantage of several Infernoid traits. In Infernoids, a Normal monster doesn't count towards the level cap, can fuel plays more easily with Painful Decision, and in this particular case lends more mileage out of Rekindling. Even jankier builds could justify Tour Guide or Rescue Rabbit for instant Dantes.
Infernoid Transistorr
Level 3 FIRE Fiend Tuner
1000/200
"Formerly known as Infernoid Decatron, it has burned through the energy contained in its capsules to attain a greater power...but not without sacrifice. But no sacrifice is too much for the Infernoid to fulfill their final command."

[spoiler=12 Feb 2016: Artifacts]
The first non-standard Normal monster is here! It will feature Artifacts this time, to tie in to their theme of double-serving as S/Ts. This card's Pendulum effect gives protection and combo plays, and being Normal makes it incredibly searchable. Summoner's Art is the most obvious choice, but Brilliant Fusion can be used to dump Lazuli to not only "search" this card (or Foolish an Artifact for CotH or Failnaught), but also get a level 5 material whose double Summon effect can further fuel plays.
Artifact Morningstar (after the Morningstar, also a reference to Lucifer)
Level 5/Scale 6 LIGHT Fairy Pendulum
2400/1600
Pend: Once per turn, when a face-up "Artifact" card you control is targeted for an attack or by your opponent's card effect (except during the Damage Step): You can destroy 1 Set Spell/Trap card you control, and if you do, negate that attack or effect.

Monster: "Despite the barbaric appearance of the weapon he embodies, this member of the Artifacts is a cunning strategist, easily the match of Caduceus. Though both he and Caduceus took actions to preserve the Artifacts, Morningstar's actions were subtler, and he has preferred to let Caduceus take the spotlight.

[spoiler=19 Feb 2016: Eyes of Blue]
While Blue-Eyes as an archetype is centered around vanillas, the Eyes of Blue have no vanilla members yet--hence, another non-standard Vanilla. This time I'm going with a Gemini. While it loses out on Unexpected Dai, Light Shrine lets you Normal Summon it twice in a turn, and Supervise lets you get back Blue-Eyes (or itself!) if you send it for the other Eyes of Blue--or you can Swing of Memories it to reuse its effect.
Apprentice with Eyes of Blue
Level 1 LIGHT Spellcaster Gemini Tuner
0/1500
This card is treated as a Normal monster while face-up on the Field or in the Graveyard. While this card is a Normal monster on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect monster with this effect:
(1) You can Special Summon 1 Level 1 LIGHT Tuner monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, OR add 1 Level 1 LIGHT Tuner monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Apprentice with Eyes of Blue" once per turn.

[spoiler=26 Feb 2016: Star Seraph]
Going back to regular vanillas for a moment, today's post features Star Seraph. There are the obvious Rescue Rabbit plays, of course, complete with 3-mats with Sovereignty, but a Normal Star Seraph can also improve the less viable hand-summon Seraphs like Scales and Scout due to Dark Factory replenishing it. More interestingly, it is instantly searchable with Brilliant Fusion using Lazuli, which allows Star Seraphs to take better advantage of the double Normal as well as potentially make use of rank 5 plays, perhaps with Unexpected Dai as Tribute or Transmodify fodder.
Star Seraph Authority
Level 4 LIGHT Fairy
1800/1500
"An angel that takes the shape of a crown. It grants the mandate of heaven to those who can assemble the sanctified artifacts known as the Star Seraphs."

[spoiler=4 March 2016: Nekroz]
I felt like representing WATER this time, so this week is Nekroz (I do have Gishki and Mermail ideas, but they'll need some more thought). The entry is mostly for lore, as Nekroz's power is largely enough on its own (and I don't know how to play Nekroz so). Nevertheless, it could add a janky build to the existing ones by focusing around level and rank 5 plays. It feeds Advanced Ritual Art for the Dragon Nekroz, and once in the grave, can be revived by Catastor or Exa for rank 5 plays or further Ritual foddering. Speaking of Ritual fodder, Dark Factory of Mass Production enables that too, and the Zefra Nekroz can Pendulum Summon it for even more options.
X the Nekroz Vagabond
Level 5 WATER Dragon
1800/2000
"A wandering draconic warrior who was found by Avance and Emilia after the ravages of the battles against Sophia. Despite his brutish appearance, he is well-traveled and surprisingly intelligent, and his contributions to Avance's and Emilia's magical knowledge were vital to the creation of the Nekroz."

[spoiler=11 March 2016: Laval]
As much Normal support revolves around the Graveyard, it's only natural Lavals should get an entry. In addition to Rekindling (because I'm going to make the option available, even if I hate that card), Lavals might be one of the best Normalized projects to run Tri-Wight with, and have options with Dark Factory of Mass Production to fuel. Amusingly enough, this particular entry can use Tri-Wight to summon its cross-archetype relative, Daigusto Phoenix. For those out there that actually use Lavals, an open question: Should I make this a Tuner or not? I feel like it works better as a non-Tuners for now, but I only have the most shallow knowledge of Lavals.
As a fun side thing, I also made it compatible with the Blaze Accelerators.
Laval Volcanic Hermit
Level 2 FIRE Pyro
500/200
"A reclusive creature, even by the antisocial standards of the Laval. He kept out of their devastating wars, by and large, but when the situation became especially grim, he went against his usual tendencies to reach out to the other tribes to forge an alliance."

[spoiler=18 March 2016: Constellar and Tellarknight]
Thanks to recent playing with Tellarknights, I remembered why I wanted them to get a vanilla in the first place: For jank Brilliant Fusion plays, whether it be using as an extra Vega target with Lazuli, an extra Altair target, and/or an extra level 5 name with CAPELLA. I also decided to double-duty this time and make it dual archetype because I can't think of star/constellation names to use, and because it supports rank 5 for both of them. Unexpected Dai and Painful Decision plays are bonuses (especially since Painful Decision sets up Altair, Vega, and Sombres all at once).
Constellarknight Sol (after deities based around the sun, also a pun on soul)
Level 4 LIGHT Warrior
1900/1000
"With its role complete, Ptolemaeus reverted from its upgraded Diamond form into this weaker form, to conserve his power in case he is needed again. He has kept some reservoirs of the reset-transcending powers of the Constellar granted to him after the transformation."

[spoiler=25 March 2016: Scrap]
Very behind on homework right now so going to give a quick-and-dirty one this time. Very simple, very much like most of the other Normalizeds, sue me. Goes well with rank 4 and Beast-type plays in general, and Rescue Rabbit can also trigger Scrap Factory (along with making an Orthros in the hand an instant Synchro/XYZ).
EDIT: Made it compatible with Box of Friends, because now that I think about it a little more, Scraps are one of the best decks to trigger that.
EDIT2: Scrap Chimera can only target Scrap Tuners RIP. Still has a good few fun applications but alas Scrap Chimera is not one of them.
Scrap Lion
Level 4 EARTH Beast
2000/0
"The powerful self-proclaimed king of the scrapyard. Though his physical strength is great, he seems just as prone to spontaneous self-destruction as any other of his oddly assembled friends. He wants to become a dragon when he grows up."

[spoiler=2 April 2016: Koa'ki Meiru]
After having used a Koa'ki Meiru deck, some fun thoughts came to mind--bad thoughts, of course, but fun. The main one is that a Koa'ki vanilla would make it easier to further hand presence while also keeping field presence due to Dark Factory of Mass Production letting it recover Iron Cores or search with Core Transport Unit with less cost (and, in this case, also Salvage), as well as fueling Ice and Core Compression more easily. While I am making it a Pend, with a Pend effect that largely invalidates using Core to keep your Koa'kis alive, it does let you use Maximus, Valafar, and Urknight more easily. Level 3 works better with Gravirose, and speaking of grave support, Painful Decision fuels Ghoulungulate and Rooklord.
Koa'ki Meiru Kraken
Level 3/Scale 7 WATER Aqua
1500/2000
Pend: You can declare a Type; return this card to your hand, and if you do, it is treated as that Type until the end of the turn. You can only use this Pendulum effect of "Koa'ki Meiru Kraken" once per turn.

Monster: "It is a mystery how the scientists behind the Koa'ki Meiru managed to get their hands on this elusive creature. It is rumored that like Sandman, Wall, and other Koa'ki Meiru, it was created by the Core's power, rather than captured and fused with it. Its amorphous nature, allowing it to mimic many of its Core-dependent comrades, supports this theory."

[spoiler=8 April 2016: Fluffal]
Fusions can take advantage of some unique Fusion support, hence the Fluffal entry. With Dark Factory of Mass Production and Tri-Wight, both easily setup with Rescue Rabbit or Painful Decision, this vanilla can help extend Fusion and Toy Pot plays, and deck-stacking with Edge Imp Scissors makes it one of the few possible decks that could consider using Enchanted Fitting Room. As a fun side bonus, this can also make Naturia Beast with Masked Chameleon.
Fluffal Tadpole
Level 1 EARTH Fairy
800/0
"This adorable member of the Fluffal family makes a great companion for any child! But make sure to keep it away from the corrupting influence of the Edge Imps. You wouldn't want this to grow up into one of those delinquent Frightfur."

[spoiler=15 April 2016: Mermails]
As one of my favorite archetypes ever, I had trouble figuring out what plays would be funniest to enable with Mermails. I was going to go with a standard level 4 at first, but after some thought, I decided to make a level 7 Aqua in the vein of Teus and Balaen. The main reason is that this allows Mermails to near-perfectly incorporate a Brilliant Fusion engine; you can dump Lazuli and the vanilla to effectively "search" it while getting another level 7 material on the field, or just get it in the grave for revival with Gunde. Or you can even get some mileage out of Abysshilde by sending that with Brilliant Fusion to pop this straight out of your hand. Meanwhile, Emeral plays let you extend into rank 7s more often, while Dark Factory of Mass Production can let you refuel discard fodder.
Mermail Abyssclado (after Cladoselache)
Level 7 WATER Aqua
2800/1400
"A member of the Mermails' strongest forces. He makes up for his lack of strength compared to his comrades with speed, cunning, and a vicious bite."

[spoiler=29 April 2016: Resonators]
Normalized is back with Resonators! This guy can not only take advantage of all the regular Normal support such as Rescue Rabbit or Tri-Wight, which makes Synchro laddering that much more accessible (eg Primordial Insect + Rescue Rabbit = Tyrant RDA), but thanks to Painful Decision filling the grave more easily, Red Carpet and Resonator Engine become live more easily as well.
Cell Resonator
Level 2 WATER Fiend Tuner
500/200
"[Drum intro]..............[bass enters]
The pulse of the king/now forms a line here!/
[Lead guitar enters][buildup]
Witness/the power of the rumbling heavens!/
[POWER CHORDS][EPIC GUITAR SOLO]
Synchro Summon!/My soul, Red Dragon Archfiend!"
[End on FIERY DRUM SOLO]"

[spoiler=6 May 2016: Dragunity]
While this Tuner might not actually be what Dragunity necessarily needs, it certainly could make for some interesting decks elsewhere. By focusing on the Dragon side, it gains Painful Decision searching and an extra Dragon Shrine dump; the former enables Cards of Consonance. Dragon Ravine can both send and search it, but even funnier, if you use it discard Gem-Knight Obsidian, it can summon this immediately! And thanks to all the Dragon dumpers available, this can also take advantage of Tri-Wight.
Dragunity Halberd (after halberd)
Level 2 WIND Dragon Tuner
500/1500
"Of those draconic denizens of the Dragon Ravine, the Halberd's length and swiftness make it an ideal choice for uniting with the more martially proficient avian residents. Some of them have pioneered a sweeping fighting style centered on Halberd."

[spoiler=13 May 2016: Dragunity pt 2]
Much more relevant to Dragunity's needs, this Winged-Beast side provides much more combo potential with Dragunity Divine Lance interactions off of Rescue Rabbit and Unexpected Dai. It also keeps the Obsidian play from the last Dragunity, though you do have fewer ways to grave it easily, and you access actual rank 4 plays, along with the capability to run Lazuli should you choose to splash a Brilliant Fusion engine.
Dragunity Hoplon (after Hoplon)
Level 4 WIND Winged-Beast
200/2100
"We will stand fast against the intruder! Our shields will not waver, just as our comrades' arms shall aim true! We will hold firm, as solid and immovable as the unity between us and our steeds!"

[spoiler=20 May 2016: Super Quant pt 1]
The Super Quantum series begins! They have multiple Normal support interactions, so for Blue we're going to focus on the ones that act like her--that is, the searchers. Unexpected Dai and Rescue Rabbit have obvious XYZ applications, serving as a reduced-power E-Tele in Belue's Normalized version.
Super Quantum Alter Belue
Level 3 WATER Psychic
800/1600
"The Super Quantum's superstar! Her frigid demeanor only attracts even more fans, including the other 2 members of her team, which only leads to her treating them even more coldly. She finds their antics tiresome but appreciates their company nonetheless, and is always able to back them up in battle."

[spoiler=27 May 2016: Super Quant pt 2]
Hide
Green is the next Super Quantum to get Normalized, and honestly some of the best Normal monster interactions come out of Green. Painful Decision lets you setup Grave-based Super Quant plays, while still having targets both for Green's discard/draw and field spam. Speaking of, resolving a Painful Decision and field spam effect and then XYZing and detaching 1 makes the next most interesting Super Quant Normal play live: Dark Factory of Mass Production. This re-enables both of Green's effects while providing more discard fodder for the Field. And now, Green plays can go into Daigusto Emerald to extend XYZ plays.
Super Quantum Alter Greene
Level 4 WIND Spellcaster
1400/1000
"The eccentric leader(?) of its superhero group, this careless individual is the type to write in its gender as "bishonen" on government forms. Its on-point fashionability cause Belue to occasionally see it as a rival. Its dynamism combined with his extremely social personality means that when it enters the battlefield it always drags at least one of its friends along with it."

[spoiler=3 June 2016: Super Quant pt 3]
The final entry in this series doesn't actually benefit too much overall from Normal support. Sure, it's searchable with Summoner's Art, but its main use in the hand would be as a discard for the Field or a piece for either of Green Layer's effects. But as an extra Super Quantum name, it means Alphan can essentially guarantee a level 5 material by selecting it and Red Layer, which also makes Feast of the Wild easier to use.
Super Quantum Alter Rede
Level 5 FIRE Warrior
1800/600
"Despite his size, this gentle giant is easily the most timid of the group and constantly has his hands full keeping his companions from bickering with each other. He actually doesn't like to fight, but he charges recklessly into battle because he has full faith that his friends will back him up. They inevitably have to save him from the enemy of the day."

[spoiler=10 June 2016: Fabled]
A much more standard Normalized than the recent fare, this Fabled Normalized gets all the regular Unexpected Dai / Painful Decision / Rescue Rabbit / Brilliant Fusion Lazuli plays that all level 4 Normalized do. But by virtue of its name and Attribute, it gets several additional funsies. Thanks to being LIGHT level 4, Rescue Rabbit and Unexpected Dai become the easiest way for Fableds to access Bujintei Tsukuyomi, who for theoretically obvious reasons should be fantastic in Fabled (and in my experience, at least, has been excellent no matter where it's been used). Tsukuyomi also allows brick Obsidians and Lazulis to gain value, the former to serve as a secondary Krus and the latter to recycle this guy for Valkyrus or Hirukos to make Amaterasus. Speaking of Valkyrus, this card being a Dark Factory target allows for more draws with that--and honestly fuels a frighteningly large number of terrible Fableds, such Othros, Soulkius, Ashenveil, and Gallabas, as well as some better ones like Raven, Kushano, and Nozochee.
Wow, that's a lot of text. tl;dr Fableds have a lot of jank vanilla interactions.
Fabled Sorenzo
Level 4 LIGHT Fiend
1850/1200
"I wake up from that long sleep to find everyone at war already. Well, that saves me the trouble! I haven't had this much fun in ages! But it'll be no fun if I go with everything I have, so I'll play like this for now, alright?"

[spoiler=17 June 2016: Synchron]
Aside from obviously being an easy Tuner with Unexpected Dai and Painful Decision, the greatest interaction for a Normal Synchron is without a doubt Brilliant Fusion. Lazuli in Brilliant lets you essentially add it to the hand, to either Normal Summon or use as discard fodder; meanwhile Obsidian stops being a dead draw because sending it from your hand to the grave with Quickdraw or Jet will revive this. Speaking of discarding and discard fodder, Dark Factory is usually an empty plus, but in this case helps with hand fuel for the aforementioned cards, as well as One For One. And while most of this is still functional even without being a Synchron, the name lets Accel Synchron setup Tri-Wight and Dark Factory, as well as allowing Tuning and Starlight Junktion provide access to it.
Vanilla Synchron
Level 1 LIGHT Plant Tuner
400/500
"A sweet, wholesome, and 100% organic can-do Tuner! Available at your local farmer's market for astounding value!"

[spoiler=24 June 2016: Kaiju]
I kinda wanted to avoid a LIGHT for this theme due to the archetype already having an overabundance of them, despite the Ally of Justice and Mega Zaborg interactions; so I came up with other interactions. For Normal monster interactions, there is of course already Summoner's Art and Brilliant Fusion adding; importantly, that also makes this a searchable Trade-In discard or Allure of Darkness banish. If sent to the grave in this way or for something like Polymerization for First of the Dragons, you can revive it with Emeral, which will put a counter on Kaiju Files, or retrieve it with Dark Factory to Tribute things again. Speaking of Extra Deck plays, it can also go into Starve Venom if on the field, as well as Fran Ken or Thunder End Dragon, and using it with Brilliant Fusion gives you another rank 8 material. And, of course, the whole idea of making a Normal monster that still preserves Kaiju mechanics was too fun for me to pass up.
Hedaroi, the Acid Sludge Kaiju
Level 8/Scale 8 DARK Rock Pendulum
2950/2850
Pend: If your opponent does not control a "Kaiju" monster: You can Tribute 1 monster they control; Special Summon this card to your opponent's side of the field in Attack Position. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster and you do not: You can Special Summon this card from your Pendulum Zone in Attack Position.

Monster: "*AGGRESSIVE CHITTERING* *RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE* *UVULATIONS*"

[spoiler=2 July 2016: Frog]
For a little celebration of Treatoad (and also because I don't have much time left in the day thanks to Anime Expo and some other things), this week is Frogs, so that Frog the Jam can be even more alone. A Frog vanilla would actually get a lot of support, especially thanks to Swap Frog. Swap Frog alone gives massive value to Dark Factory/Salvage, Tri-Wight, and Unexpected Dai. The grave support provided by Painful Decision supports those interactions as well as Ronintoadin and Masked Chameleon/Debris Dragon. Thanks to the many ways of getting this to your hand, between aforementioned Salvage/Dark Factory and including Dewloren plays, it may even be worth considering Cry Havoc. Even Lemuria can be used to get mileage out of Rescue Rabbit (and even more with Daigusto Emeral).
Frog
Level 2 WATER Aqua
500/0
"Such a simple enemy! It's an astonishment that it ever got to level 2 given its lack of strength and the abundance of newbie adventurers, who would have wiped out all the Frogs long ago if not for their respawn rate. It's unclear if its increased level made any difference in its strength."

[spoiler=8 July 2016: Heraldic Beast]
What might actually be the poster boy for Normal level 4 spam if they had a level 4 Normal. Heraldics would benefit quite strongly from grave support from Painful Decision, enabling Heraldry Reborn and Advanced Heraldry Art. Painful Dai has obvious applications, and in addition to that, not only does Rescue Rabbit have the same XYZ applications, it also makes Eale live immediately. Dark Factory of Mass Production normally only provides empty plusses, but here it also enables Amphisbaena and is fueled by Heraldry Patriarch, not to mention gives value to Galaxy Stealth Dragon. This deck would probably also constitute one of the few worth using Faustian Bargain, thanks to Aberconway and Leo.
Heraldic Beast Wyvern
Level 4 WIND Dragon
1900/1500
"Though these crests stand proud on their own, it is when multiple are used together that their true splendor emerges. Their noble bearing is true proof of authority."

[spoiler=15 July 2016: Cyber Dragon]
It's right about time for both another LIGHT Normalized and another Normalized that cheats the Normal monster label. While a Cyber Dragon Gemini misses out on the Cyber Dragon label in grave and thus Cyber Dragon Nova revives, it enables an odd mish-mash of support...and once again the best of them would be Brilliant Fusion, which both "searches" it and enables its Gemini Summon, AND gives a rank 5 material to use with it. This also enables Dark Factory of Mass Production more, which enables Polymerization more, which enables Chimeratech Rampage Dragon and its deck dump fuel more. Speaking of Dark Factory, that gives Cyber Dragon actual backup plays, in summons, materials, and Galaxy Soldier discards. And, of course, being a Gemini, I can't go without mentioning Supervise, which by itself nets you Chimeratech Rampage and this card as material. On a random amusing note, you can also use this in Metalfoes if you so wanted to Fusion Summon Cardinal using deck Metalfoes.
Cyber Dragonilla
Level 5 LIGHT Machine Gemini
1600/2100
If you control a "Cyber Dragon" monster or a Fusion Monster that lists "Cyber Dragon" as a Fusion Material monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only Special Summon "Cyber Dragonilla" this way once per turn. This card is treated as a Normal monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is a Normal monster on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an effect monster with these effects.
1. This card's name becomes "Cyber Dragon".
2. Once per turn: You can Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using Machine-type monsters you control as Fusion Materials. You can also use monsters in your Deck as Fusion Material, but you must use less than or equal to the number of Fusion Materials used from the field.

[spoiler=22 July 2016: Destiny HERO]
I swear it was the 22nd when I started this! And if I can manage fast enough it might still be. Anyways, the new support slots perfectly with Normal monsters, particularly because Dark Factory of Mass Production make Normal monsters one of the more effective ways of fueling multiple Fusions. The ATK enables Drillguy, which is also enabled with Dark Factory and can be enabled with Painful Decision, and DHEROs' strong rank 4 engine can potentially let them get into Emeral loops. As far as it goes, it's also not a bad choice for Mask Change.
Destiny HERO - Everyman
Level 4 DARK Warrior
1600/0
"An unassuming citizen by day, and an unassuming hero by night...but there are frightening depths within the heart of the Everyman that wait to be unleashed."

[spoiler=29 July 2016: Kuriboh]
Another "substitute"-style Normal monster, this time in Kuriboh's form. If you like being able to block battle damage, feel free to run the original. Otherwise, you can run Flute of Summoning Kuriboh on top of Unexpected Dai and Rescue Rabbit and Kuribohrn on top of Tri-Wight. This would also allow the deck to be one of the few that could viably run White Elephant's Gift, with all the ways to field Kuriboh quickly--and fielding Kuriboh easily enables Detonate much more effectively as well.
Kuribohnilla
Level 1 DARK Fiend
300/200
"An adorable little fiend found in most dungeons. Even experienced Kurilinguists have difficulty discerning between which 'Kuri kuri~" indicates affection and which indicates imminent self-destruction."
(This card is always treated as "Kuriboh".)

[spoiler=5 August 2016: Madolche]
Thanks to some exceedingly late-night and partially-early-morning discussion, got a Normalized technically a day late. I swear it was the 5th when I started this. Anyways, Painful Decision sets up both Madolche Mewfeuille and Hootcake, as well as letting you use its scale eff in general, and may also fuel Tiaramisu. Rescue Rabbit lets you jump to MX-Saber Invoker, and amusingly enough, with the recycling effects you may be able to recycle Rescue Rabbit with Leviair later. Dark Factory of Mass Production also triggers Madolche Ticket, if you can get Normals to grave quickly enough. A Pendulum was chosen to fit with the theme of being hard to get in the grave, with scale effects that tie in to empty grave.
Madolche Moocaron (after macarons)
Level 3/Scale 6 EARTH Beast Pendulum
1200/1400
Pend: You can target 1 "Madolche" monster you control; increase its level by 1, then you can shuffle 1 monster in your Graveyard into the Deck. If this card would be destroyed by an opponent's card effect, shuffle it into the Deck instead.

Monster: "It is said that the flavored milk produced by Moocaron is unmatched in its creaminess and quality. It is highly coveted among patissiers both for its taste and richness."

[spoiler=13 August 2016: Gimmick Puppets]
Tired, so here's another late Normalized. Summoner's Art is actually useful for once, giving more value to Trade-In, which in turn gives more value to Dreary Doll. Scissor Arms, meanwhile, makes Swing of Memories live, as well as fueling Dark Factory of Mass Production. Dark Factory has interactions with Des Troy, instantly fueling its summon 2, and Egg Head, fueling its discard cost, and using these level 4 Gimmick Puppets now gets you access to Emeral plays. As an additional bonus, these plays also bolster the effects of a Machina Gearframe + Machina Cannon engine; as an additional joke, Puppet Ritual now lets you summon Thunder End Dragon.

[spoiler=27 August 2016: Buster Blader]
Late again, and after a hiatus, but it worked out because while showering I got bad ideas. Buster Blader would definitely have been better as a Normal monster, but this is no substitute-style Normalized. It's a bit of a jump, but I'm incorporating multiple ideas I've been playing around with for a while, namely Pendulum Geminis and Geminis with new unlock conditions. In this particular instance, it's to provide support specifically for Pendulum Magician Buster Blader. Here, arguably the most important interaction is being able to use Dark Factory of Mass Production to fuel the many, MANY hand-to-grave interactions incorporated into such a deck, such as costs and Fusion, and thanks to the inclusion of the Normal Magicians, which also come with discard costs, you have less worries over it being dead. Wisdom-Eye being Limited at this time makes Emeral plays somewhat harder to procure, but that is also quite an easy play to enable, which can help with combo extension.
The Wandering Destruction Swordmaster
Level 7/Scale 8 EARTH Warrior Pendulum Gemini
1600/2300
Pend: When this card is activated: You can send 1 "Buster Blader" or 1 "Destruction Sword" card from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Monster: This card is treated as a Normal monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. If your opponent controls a Dragon-type monster, this card becomes an effect monster with these effects:
1. This card's name becomes "Buster Blader".
2. Cards you control cannot be targeted or destroyed by the effects of the opponent's Dragon-type monsters.

[spoiler=9 Sept 2016: Lunalight]
Whoops, accidentally missed a week! Despite technically having had an extra week to work on this, I'm just going to take it easy anyways and go for a very basic Normal monster that helps enable basic but previously impractical plays. In Lunalights, the main value is in the XYZ toolbox--namely, Rescue Rabbit and Unexpected Dai into Bujintei Kagutsuchi or Brofist Tiger King. Despite being a very simple enabler of these intuitively obvious plays, even here there is versatility. Painful Decision provides grave setup for Tiger, Black Sheep, and Wolf within archetype; outside the archetype you can access Emeral or Dark Armed Dragon. Meanwhlie, in a Metalfoes Lunalight hybrid, it gives an additional layer of synergy by being able to summon Alkahest, and can make Dark Factory live more easily to fuel even more Fusion Summoning.
Lunalight Gold Lioness
Level 4 DARK Beast-Warrior
1600/1400
"A brave and fearsome warrior from a clan of Amazonian animal women who use mysterious dance techniques to combine their powers. Though not the strongest or flashiest from her clan, she has earned the trust of her comrades with her straightforward approach both to friendship and battle."

[spoiler=18 Sept 2016: Digital Bug]
Hide
My latest excuse for why Normalized is late is because I was doing a lot of marching band things over the weekend. And writer's block, as I try to buff my waitlist up a little bit again. It's honestly a bit sad to say, but a straight-up Normal monster would probably be the best Digital Bug overall, both as standalone and as support to the deck. Painful Decision immediately sets up both Cocoondenser and Websolder, and Rescue Rabbit/Unexpected Dai gets the XYZ chain started. There's also Brilliant Fusion, of course, especially notable as Seraphinite can potentially be used as rank 5 material with this and Bug Emergency, given that the other Digital Bug's clauses prevent them from doing the same.
PS: I put the flavor text in code because things kept breaking.

[spoiler=24 Sept 2016: Blackwing]
Blackwings have access to 2 of the funniest possible interactions with Normal monsters: Access to Azure-Eyes and pro plays with Cry Havoc. The former can be made off Gofu or Rescue Rabbit followed by Swallow's Nest into Decay the Ill Wind, while the latter lets you get extra mileage out of Black Whirlwind, especially if you can recycle or search out more copies to Normal Summon, such as with the Raidraptor Force Strix you can make using a searched Kris or Bora. Incidentally, Rescue Rabbit builds off both of these ideas, both because Blackwings are reasonably adept at making Emeral (who then, amusingly enough, enables Dark Simorgh) and because getting Blackwings on the field can make cards such as Gale and aforementioned Kris/Bora live in hand to extend plays. As a nice bonus, Painful Decision makes Blizzard live as a low-cost Normal Summon play.
Blackwing - Aoi the Storm's Eye
1950/0
"The ominous crow--
One found, but more are around
Unleash the Blackwings!"

[spoiler=30 Sept 2016: Heroics]
A simple card due to midterm pressures. Relevantly amusing note is that Unexpected Dai clashes a bit with Assault Halberd, but even then Unexpected Dai essentially serves as extra copies of Assault Halberd, and you've still got Rescue Rabbit, which helps fuel Rhongomyniad. Of note is that Dark Factory of Mass Production can enable Thousand Blades' discard cost, and the deck can go into Emeral reasonably easily to facilitate extra damage.
Heroic Challenger - Blackjack (after the simple law-enforcement weapon)

[spoiler=9 Oct 2016: Earthbound Immortal]
This is one I wouldn't have thought of without having seen the 1st season of 5DS, so I guess the anime is good for something after all (that is, giving me crap cards to build ideas from). This idea would probably have been a much more effective implementation of them, even if it is limited in usability regardless, and amusingly enough would be more true to the anime--Earthbound Geminis with an unlock condition of a Field Spell. In the anime, they simply lost their effects without a Field, rather than self-destructing. The addition of Spark Field to the Gemini arsenal would be a major boon to such a monster, both unlocking the effects and allowing ease of summon. On that note, it would be able to take advantage of the cross-support from Earthbounds and Geminis, such as Chem Beast Carbon Crab and Earthbound Revival, not to mention assorted Normal support such as Daigusto Emeral. This card specifically can also use Plant support, such as Lonefire or Meliae.
Earthbound Immortal Machu (after "Machu" the Quechuan word for "Root" according to a random translator, as well as Machu Pichu. Based on the Nazca Line called "Tree")
Level 10 DARK Plant Gemini
2800/2500
This card is treated as a Normal monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While there is a face-up Field Spell card on the field, this card becomes an Effect Monster with these effects.
1. There can only be 1 face-up "Earthbound Immortal" monster on the field.
2. Your opponent cannot target this card for attacks.
3. This card can attack your opponent directly.
4. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; send it to the Graveyard, also send all cards with that name in your opponent's Main Deck and Extra Deck to the Graveyard.

[spoiler=14 Oct 2016: Gogogo]
Too hungry to think properly right now, so here's an easy one. Gogogo Golem is one of those monsters that would have preferred being a Normal monster, and so...here is a Normal version of it. Grave setup has typically been one of Gogogo's main problems, problems handily solved by the support of Painful Decision and Rescue Rabbit. Brilliant Fusion continues to provide memes, potentially allowing you to Lazuli it back, though I have no idea what you're going to do with a Gogogo Golem substitute in your hand. At least you can rank 8 with the Zirconia with some random techs like Block Dragon, or revive it with the Emerals that Gogogos pump out fairly easily, or whatever.
Gogogo Gagogogi
Level 4 EARTH Rock

"I wonder what the letter of the day is?"
(This card is always treated as "Gogogo Golem")

[spoiler=25 Oct 2016: Raidraptor]
This is probably the most delayed Normalized yet, bar the time I accidentally skipped a whole week. It's 3 AM so you can go figure out what it does on your own. Most of the interactions should still be fairly simple, but if I recall correctly there are a few extra built in thanks to the Raidraptor name. I believe Dark Factory allows for some extra Summons with a few of the Lanius, but I forget.
Raidraptor - Plain Lanius
Level 4 DARK Winged-Beast
1700/300
"The Lanius are a subsection of a family of birds infamous for impaling their prey on sharp points, to store for later consumption or show off to potential mates. Despite belonging to such an interesting group, however, this bird is surprisingly boring, much like the Raidraptors' tactics as a whole."

[spoiler=30 Oct 2016: Graydle]
This is one Normalized that wouldn't be possible without recent developments--but thanks to it, it becomes excellent. This development was Slime Jr, whose effect interacts perfectly with Painful Decision to spit out a 3-material Graydle Dragon. That's not to say the other support, such as Unexpected Dai, doesn't help, since you can still use it to spit out rank 3s. As an amusing side benefit, you can use Justi-Break to trigger Cobra, or go into Zenmaity in the OCG with the aforementioned Slime Jr play to make Treatoad by summoning Wind-Up Snail.
Graydle Dai
Level 3 WATER Aqua
1500/1500
"The intrepid adventurer-warrior seems to have gotten himself into quite a bind with his latest encounter with mysterious enemies! How will he escape the aqueous embrace of these amorphous aliens!?"

[spoiler=7 Nov 2016: XYZ]
It's been a busy few days, but here we are. A fun idea I had a little while ago when browsing the wiki for ideas: Build something for the "XYZ" archetype. I had also been toying around with the idea of building non-effect Extra Deck monsters for a while anyways. I tried to make the result relatively compatible with Rank-Ups, and the adjusted summoning conditions alone mean the card has a solid niche.
Number CXYZ: Enforcer of the Rules
Rank 7 LIGHT Machine
3000/2000
1 level 7 monster
[No effect]

[spoiler=21 Nov 2016: Ice Barrier]
Now Ice Barrier doesn't seem like a deck that needs or wants a Normal monster, but hear me out. First, any support that would actually make Ice Barrier playable is probably also beyond what I'm willing to create; and second, Ice Barriers actually do get a good few interesting interactions with Normal monsters, particularly this Toadally Awesome-compatible Tuner. The main usage is definitely getting extra recycling with Dark Factory (or at least make Salvage live more quickly) to fuel costs of cards like Strategist, Dance Princess, Spellbreaker, or Brionac. Speaking of Brionac, Ice Barriers can actually summon it with Unexpected Dai, which can also be used to help Tribute Summon any of the higher-leveled Ice Barriers. Prior is an Aqua, so that helps with the Toadally Awesome angle, and Frogs themselves become a better engine when you combine them and this card in a Generals build.
Message of the Ice Barriers
Level 2 WATER Aqua Tuner
"We forgot our reason to exist...we thought that that the threat to our world justified the return of the Dragons. We had forgotten what the Dragons were. We had forgotten what they were capable of. We forgot that, in the end, the greatest threat was here all along."

[spoiler=27 Nov 2016: Phantom Knights]
The applications for a Phantom Knights Normal monster should be fairly obvious, with Rescue Rabbit and Unexpected Dai providing their conventional XYZ-based roles. Painful Decision becomes a little more notable thanks to providing instant setup for graved Phantom Knight S/Ts. For funsies I also made this one compatible with Box of Friends, which you can trigger off Break Sword, albeit at the cost of running another DARK Normal with 0 ATK or DEF.
The Phantom Knights of Fallen Crest
Level 3 DARK Warrior
1000/0
"An allegedly haunted remnant of the shameful heraldry that used to belong to the royal knights in this region. The dark mythology that lingers around these fragments of history is too convoluted to piece together sensibly."

[spoiler=4 Dec 2016: Nordic]
We return once again to Brilliant Fusion-based programming with a LIGHT Normal addition to Nordics. The 2 biggest values this card offers lie in the ways to get it to the Graveyard and the ways to get it to your hand. Dark Factory is for use with cards such as Mara or Valkyrie, and you can make it live with Brilliant Fusion, Painful Decision, or even the Nordic's very own Vanadis. Brilliant Fusion in particular has special synergy with Ljosalf, allowing you to summon this card back out as well. And although Rescue Rabbit will usually consume your Normal Summon, a Seraphinite or Guldfaxe's self-summoning can potentially net you an instant Aesir. As a fun side bonus, using Natural Tune will let you use it as a Tuner for Odin.
The lore for this was hard to construct. Even picking Freyr himself as the subject took several days. I took a few pieces and adapted here and there from the Gylfaginning portion of the Edda, but there was no way for me to truly do the work justice.
Freyr of the Nordic Ascendant (after Freyr)
Level 3 LIGHT Warrior
800/1800
"Son of Njordr, brother of Vanadis, begotten in Noatun; fair of face and mighty in strength. The most renowned of the offspring of the Aesir, it is he who grants us the boon of fruitful harvest; therefore seek him out, denizens of Midgard, to find your fortune."

[spoiler=10 Dec 2016: Shaddoll]
One of my favorite archetypes of all time, Shaddoll's combos with Normal monsters are based on resource retention combos, primarily with making Dark Factory of Mass Production live as quickly as possible. Painful Decision obviously helps a lot, but so does the archetype's very own Shaddoll Fusion and Squamata. From there, Dark Factory enables El-Shaddoll Fusion, Grystal, Shekhinaga, and even Purusha Shaddoll Aion. If you're into stranger games, you can use Unexpected Dai to try out Nephe-Shaddoll Fusion without risking your Normal Summon, or making Emeral with whatever engine to revive it and use it as additional material.
Shaddoll Threadenizen
Level 3 DARK Spellcaster
700/1200
"The threads that Shaddoll Construct used to control those corrupted by the power of the Core have scattered throughout the world after her presumed death. Somehow they've taken a life of their own. Who knows what the future holds for them? What will they do now? Will they disappear from history? Live their own lives? Or will their origins come back and haunt them?"

[spoiler=18 Dec 2016: Dododo]
One of the few archetypes that can actually benefit from Summoner's Art, unlike many archetypes, Dododos have a myriad of hand-based interactions. This card improves Trade-In in relation to Dododo Swordsman, and of course works well with the archetypal Dodododraw, and it can also be discarded for Onomatopaira. Dododos can then revive it by going into Emeral, or if they don't have a way to get it into the grave Dododo Witch will do. One of the much more entertaining interactions is with Zubaba General. All of these interactions benefit, of course, from Dark Factory of Mass Production.
Also, lore is credited to thesaurus.com.
Dododo Destroyer
Level 8 EARTH Warrior
2900/2500
"Dis dandy dirk-dealing duelist is definitely deep an' dirty in dispute deescalation deceptions. No dude has dared declare disagreement and dodged death."

[spoiler=25 Dec 2016: D/D]
Merry Christmas, everyone! Now back to the sorta-weekly thingamajigger I do. I might do a part 2 next week, but focusing on this part for now, the card is reasonably self-explanatory. It focuses on both the Pendulum and XYZ aspects of D/D, both in being a searchable and flexible scale and also in being an easily accessible level 4 to make Wave King Caesar and Marksman King Tell significantly more accessible. As with any deck with Fusion plays, Dark Factory of Mass Production makes its presence known, and although Night Howl is really bad, you can still use that with Painful Decision to make Gale King Alexander but you should really just stop using Night Howl. As mentioned elsewhere, you can also Natural Tune to go into Siegfried with another level 4, which is even worse than Night Howl but has much better meme value.
D/D Barghest
Level 4/Scale 5 DARK Fiend Pendulum
1900/1900
Pend: Once per turn: You can target 1 other D/D card in a Monster Zone or Pendulum Zone; increase or decrease this card's scale (min.0) by that card's original level until the end of the turn.

Monster: "There is no shortage of canine fiends in the ranks of these extradimensional dark forces. They serve as a vanguard to the humanoid fiends, and Barghest in particular is the loyal companion of the legendary kings, who rule over the forces of nature themselves."

[spoiler=6 Jan 2017: D/D/D]
It's not actually next week from last time, but I'm doing a part 2 of D/D anyways. This card takes advantage of different facets of Normal support than last week's, although Summoner's Art serves a similar purpose to Painful Decision. Among the differences are using Lamia to make Azure-Eyes, or somehow fielding 2 of these to go into Thunder End Dragon. Dark Factory of Mass Production makes Forbidden Swamp King Contract live, and this card's name makes it easier to go into some of the bigger Fusions such as Beowulf or Wave Oblivion King. Also, it makes Trade-In more live, so that's nice too.
D/D/D Divine King Alulim (after Alulim, the mythological first king of Sumer, widely considered the first civilization)
Level 8/Scale 0 DARK Fiend Pendulum
2600/2900
Pend: If you have Pendulum Summoned this turn: You can Tribute 1 "D/D" monster; Special Summon this card in Defense Position.

Monster: "I, Alulim, am the First King, the original possessor of the mandate of heaven! I have spoken with divinities! I forged the first empire and ruled for 30 millennia, defeating all who challenged my reign! You dare raise your weapon against me? Impertinent mongrel! When I have finished with you, you will only be remembered in history as a cautionary tale!"

[spoiler=15 Jan 2017: Plaguespreader Zombie]
This week is a just for fun theme. The card is a "purified" Plaguespreader, who lost his effect in the process. It also became LIGHT, so now it works with Brilliant Fusion. Dark Factory of Mass Production fuels Zombie Master's discard, and the card as a whole loves the existence of Gozuki. Tri-Wight interactions should be fairly amusing, and in a Gemini build it'll love the presence of Supervise. Zombies can make Emeral fairly easily too, which should also help.
Peacespreader Zombie
Level 2 LIGHT Zombie Tuner
400/200
"It used to be the most rotten animated corpse in town, but it saw the light and is using its contagiousness to spread its hope and ideals now instead. Its path is difficult but with friendship and willpower it will surely reach its dreams."
(This card is always treated as "Plaguespreader Zombie")

[spoiler=20 Jan 2017: Ice Counters]
Although Ice Counter support is limited, what exists would appreciate the presence of a Normal monster. Rescue Rabbit instantly enables both Ice Master and Snowdust Giant. Meanwhile, Dark Factory of Mass Production helps fuel Snowdust Giant as well as Cold Enchanter, or Tin Goldfishes to summon more Snowdusts. Cards like Unexpected Dai which help get Normals on field help Snowman Creator get more Counters up, and in this particular case, being searchable with Painful Decision can help start stacking Ice Counters as well.
Snoweathereport
Level 4/Scale 2 WATER Aqua
Pend: If this card is activated: Distribute Ice Counters among face-up monsters on the field equal to the number of cards on the field. Once per turn: You can increase this card's Pendulum Scale by the number of Ice Counters on the field, until the end of the turn.

Monster: "Good afternoon, and here is the weather! Winter is really starting to settle in. We have a cold front coming in from the North, following the invasion of ice trolls, so expect heavy snow by evening. It's expected to last for several weeks at least, so make sure to bundle up well and prepare your armaments! Be careful when you attempt to flee to safety, we may have a frozen road warning soon enough. And that's the weather, from Snoweathereport, here's sports from Battle Footballer!"

[spoiler=28 Jan 2017: Fishborg]
A Fishborg Normal monster gets access to all the Synchro fodder plays that regular monsters do, but with some extra combos. Painful Decision now serves the extra role of making Fishborg Launcher live in the grave (disclaimer: Am not encouraging use of Fishborg Launcher), while Unexpected Dai and Rescue Rabbit do the same for Fishborg Doctor (Rescue Rabbit has additional benefit as a monster of keeping Launcher live). Dark Factory of Mass Production also helps to make Fishborg Archer live more often, and would help Blaster if that weren't banned, but helps Gungnir in its absence regardless. Incidentally, Rescue Rabbit in this case can help you make Trishula fairly easily with Archer, but for even better memes, the same play can make Azure-Eyes Dragon instead.
Fishborg Vanguard
Level 3 WATER Fish
600/500
"These special forces were developed by the Fishborg Doctor as manpower for the technologically advanced Fishborg civilization. They await the command to execute Project Gyo, when they will retake the land for their own."

[spoiler=3 Feb 2017: Fire King]
Like much other Fire King support, a Fire King Normal monster's best potential comes out when interacting with the Field Spell. The summoning effect, in particular, means that it is useful in the hand, so that you can Summoner's Art for it. Summoner's Art also makes Trade-In more live, which can help get High Avatar Garunix into the grave more easily as well. If you are running a Brilliant Fusion engine, Fire King Island can pop dead Lazulis in hand to search more Fire Kings as well as recover this card, while a supplemental rank 4 engine can revive it with Emeral. Incidentally, this card provides more ways to use Swallow's Nest, and if it self-destructs via Swing of Memories, it will trigger all the lesser Fire Kings' self-summon effects.
Fire King Brahmin Kite
Level 8 FIRE Winged-Beast
2900/1900
"A majestic bird of prey that towers above the forestry, it appears to have a strong resemblance to the "Brahminy Kite" (Haliastur indus) that can be found in islands populated by native islanders, although its size is much larger. Its diet mainly consists of serpent life. I suspect this animal is related to, or even the source of, the legends of a great phoenix that resides on the island. However, my local guides insist that this bird is one of the animals the phoenix defeated, using its intelligence to compensate for its lesser strength, to assert its authority.

-Entry in Comprehensive Wildlife Survey of Fire King Island, Year XXXX"

[spoiler=10 Feb 2017: Gandora]
Gandora has only recently become an actual archetype, and the card that made it so is also the greatest benefactor of a Normal. Giga-Rays gives massive value to Dragon Shrine, which gets you 2 Gandora names when combined with this card, and Dark Factory of Mass Production (or Recurring Nightmare) makes it easier to meet its summon conditions. Light Shrine can also be used to dump it, which ties into another interaction with Hieratic Nuit for an instant trigger, which of course brings up that this card is a Hieratic target in general, which can be manipulated into summoning Dragluong to summon Gandora X. Silver's Cry can be put towards similar purposes. Finally, another level 8 makes Trade-In more live, especially since Summoner's Art can effectively add up to 3 more chances of getting a level 8. As a fun side bonus, Dragard can summon it.
Curse of Gandora
Level 8 DARK Dragon
0/0
"The prophecy shall come to pass--your time is near--the Dragon of Destruction awakens!
Do not flee--there is no land left for you--for the curse will follow--Destruction will come to pass."

[spoiler=17 Feb 2017: Herald]
I waffled between a level 2 and a level 6 as Herald support, but ultimately I decided on 2 to provide an additional Normal monster to run next to Shine Balls. This way, Advanced Ritual Art is more live. Dark Factory of Mass Production offers additional value as double negates, as well as potentially going towards a Ritual Summon, or helping to feed Herald of Pure Light's effect; similarly, Tri-Wight can be used for XYZs or to meet an entire Herald condition.
Herald of Dim Light
Level 2 LIGHT Fairy
300/500
"A small fairy that emits a weak glow. It follows its cousins around and when in trouble helps to power up their light."

[spoiler=25 Feb 2017: Shiranui]
Although technically they are a banish deck, Shiranuis have many effects related to the grave that would welcome the setup provided by Painful Decision. Samurai gets its banish and/or Graveyard recovery when it is banished, Spiritmaster can summon it off a Normal Summon, and Shogunsaga can banish it to gain ATK, for some quick examples, and of course there's always Mezuki. Shiranui Style Synthesis can also Special Summon it, but it can also use Dark Factory of Mass Production to help provide the discard cost. Unrelated to its Normal status, it is a level 4 Tuner that can be summoned by either Shiranui Solitaire or Unexpected Dai. For less practical plays, Shiranui were already able to run the likes of Fusion Gate, Polymerization, and Dragon's Mirror to make Dragonecro, but now they also have the option of going into First of the Dragons. Speaking of Fusion, if you run Brilliant Fusion, you can discard dead-drawn Obsidians with Unizombie to revive this.
Shiranui Servant
Level 4 FIRE Zombie Tuner
1800/0
"A loyal retainer of the priestly Shiranui bloodline. His stoic personality and devotion to managing the Shiranui's affairs hide a storied past serving under many generations of the Shiranui name, as well as the fighting skills he used to help preserve it."

[spoiler=3 March 2017: Gishki pt 1]
I've been wanting to do Gishki for a while, partially because of Advanced Ritual Art, partially because Gishki are one of my favorite archetypes in general. I start off with a level 4 for what should be fairly obvious utility, since once in the grave it can be revived by Emeral or Gishki Beast. Aside from ARA, you can also get into the grave with the classics: Rescue Rabbit and Painful Decision. Salvage is already live, so Dark Factory of Mass Production isn't really needed, but that option is available too. Incidentally, the Typing allows for random and incidental Shark/other Fish support.
Gishki Narwhal
Level 4 WATER Fish
1500/1000
"Legends say that this rare whale formerly played a central role in the culture and traditions of the Gishki clan; its meat gave sustenance, its fat fuel, and its ivory a catalyst for their obscure Rituals. However, the Gishki became overambitious and hunted them to near extinction in their thirst for greater and more arcane Rituals. Once depleted, instead of realizing the error of their ways, the Gishki turned towards conquest instead..."

[spoiler=11 March 2017: Gishki pt 2]
Comboed with the previous entry, this Gishki provides level adjustment for Advanced Ritual Art that now lets you go into any Gishki Ritual with variable grave setup possibilities. Of course, this also means Tri-Wight bonuses, but Gishki are especially notable for multiple deck stacking effects that, if you are some sort of memelord, potentially allow you to use Enchanting Fitting Room. And, as a guilty indulgence, you can use it to make Toadally Awesome.
Gishki Anemone
Level 2 WATER Aqua
"These unusual creatures have spent aeons soaking in the magic of the Ice Barriers. As a result, it has become a valuable catalyst for the rituals of the Gishki, whose magic is derived from that of the Ice Barriers'."

[spoiler=17 March 2017: Machina]
I'm always fond of big Machines, and Machina gives me several different ways to exploit a Normal version. Beyond the regular application of more Trade-In discards, which can make it less dead when you don't open Megaform, Machina can actually use a Machine in the hand thanks to Machina Fortress, or even more obscurely, Machina Cannon, which lends value to Dark Factory of Mass Production. The much more obscure Machina Soldier benefits from this interaction, as well, pulling it out of the hand after that or a Summoner's Art.
If I had more time, I would try to improve its flavor text to something that evokes militaristic lore, but alas I'm not sure where to start on that end. Maybe some other day.
Machina Tank
Level 8 EARTH Machine
2700/2900
"A sturdy vehicle often sent in as a vanguard to conflict situations. Although its heavy main gun is formidable, it is mostly notable for a sturdy, unshakable design that allows it to face down far more numerous foes."
