A Maxx "C" -esque card that forces the opponent to either negate or special summon less than 8 times.

Fanatical Windstorm (Counter Trap)

Cannot be activated unless your opponent controls more monsters than you do. Pay 2000 LP, then return all cards in both players hands to the respective Decks, then each player draws cards equal to the number of times your opponent Special Summoned this turn. If you do, your opponent takes damage equal to the number of cards you drew by this effect x 1000.

Comment your thoughts on this card, if it is too powerful, or too generic etc.

Wait, so if they take the "Maxx C challenge" and summon 8 times, they lose?

I wonder if it's excessive because you can deal some damage to your opponent and just wipe out the rest of their LP if they try to come back. I basically worry that since people will have to Special Summon more monsters in order to make Links, they will have a hard time getting around this card.

This can also be a lot of card advantage if used way early on, in a Demise Deck or something similar. You could use this when your opponent hasn't Special Summoned any monsters to shuffle their entire hand back into the Deck. If you used a Demise Deck, all your cards in hand would have been set, but an offensive Deck would have several cards in hand.

Basically, there are a couple ways to abuse it, and it's a good idea on paper, but it needs refining. I would make it so that they have to have Special Summoned at least one monster and removing the damage.

Also, why is it a Counter Trap? It doesn't negate anything, so there's no reason for it to just get the Counter Trap treatment.

I personally think this card is great as it is right now. The fact that the opponent has to have more monsters than you, AND had to have Special Summoned more than twice the turn you activated it to get a LP benefit from the cost-to-burn ratio actually makes this card quite balanced. I agree with Snatch Steal on the Counter Trap part, no reason for this card to be placed in that category, it's certainly just a Normal Trap Card. I don't understand how the card name and card effect are related, maybe if there was a picture or another card that works similar to this with a similar name, I would understand lol. But yeah, great job!
