Regulations do say that I have to run LL7 first before doing R8. So....there's 15 'mons for LL7 (which should have 2 rounds this time). This just means 7 'mons will be in one match and 8 in the other; both will be double votes. Though...I could also try running R8 concurrently. Framework: LL7 (above) - 15 in; 4 winners minimum (2 matches with 2 winners)R8 (Quilava vs Froslass)LL8 (whoever won LL7 + whoever loses R8) - at least 4 in (1 match; 2 winners)LL9 (whoever wins LL8) - at least 2 in; 1 winner (regular 1v1)R9 (Final; whoever won R8 and LL9) - regular match So yeah, matches should be up soon. (Yeah, I could just check the first couple posts in here, but...that's after the fact now) But I'll drop both of you a notification when the matches go up, so you can both vote on time / get some words in. Probably should be later in the day, but just have to make sure I'll be around to close the matches when they're supposed (so that affects starting time). But yeah, round L8 matches are up (and they are single vote only). Same as before; if your vote causes a tie, then don't worry about it. I would say this is a bad idea. To get this far only to have the final be that is really anti-climactic and dull. If any ties occur within LL9 and we get a tied winner, then whoever's left in the end will just go on to face Froslass in the end. No point in trying to tie break for only one survivor. Then again, I can just post the new match tomorrow since all I'd need to do is just c/p the match ups from L8 and then modify stuff accordingly. Because there are 4 'mons that require going through (instead of the 2-3 that would be ideal for a single match), I'm going to have 2 matches to decide who faces Froslass in the final in terms of winners. Whoever wins their match goes to the final, but if there are any ties, the RNG will break it so we get a 3-man final. But at the same time, it did provide for this comeback win to happen. Had this been a straight elimination tournament without a loser bracket, Ampharos would've been killed off in round 7 and final would've been different. Anywho, I am happy with the result. Ampharos got the redemption from its fall in R7, and yeah I will concede and say its death in that round was my fault for not realising it was up (and notifs not working for mentions at the time) as it lost by 1 vote. But yeah it took like 8 attempts, but one of my noms finally did it and won the whole thing. Prior to that, the furthest I have had a nom of mine get was the semis in GPT2 (Feraligatr who got the bronze medal). I will say Latias did well to finish equal 2nd though as it was behind after the first few hours. That aside, regarding the Champion of Champions tournament that I will be hosting; what I'll do is ask CowCow to temporarily unpin my other tourney thread until the Champion of Champions tourney is over because it wouldn't be fair to have 2 tourney threads up at the same time and this one will be easier to manage as there are no nominations to worry about (My other tourney thread is only in the midst of nominations atm anyway and hasn't had any new ones in a few days, so a quick hiatus shouldn't be an issue at all, poor timing there as I said in that thread). I do have the format all but figured out though, so stay tuned. The thread will probs crop up once this one is unpinned.It also won't have a fancy logo or anything, I'll probs knock something up to incorporate all the entrants. To get runner-up isn't bad at all; then again, only Lucario's ever made it to the finals as well, but that was back in 2015. But then again, I can just unpin the other tournament later on; any mod can unsticky it for the time being until stuff is over. ===As for the champion tournament, yeah, no need for a logo (though I can just modify this tournament's one and replace GPT 8 with Tournament of Champions or something). Yeah, I do think it would be best to unsticky the other thread once I put up the champions tourney, besides the hiatus will only be for a couple of weeks anyway.As for the logo, I'll see what I can do.
