Razion, the Timelord

Recommended Posts

I would hope that since the second one with this patterning of effects is showing up, they will be faster with the rest of them now.

I just don't know about that Sandaion with 4000 ATK and 4000 burn in the anime. I think when it was released in Tag Forcce it was reduced to 2000 burn, but I don't know if you can keep the timelord pattern on a 4000 attacker

I half expect the set that this is going to be in will include a few more. Having just one feels weird. Metaion and Sephylon were originally promos, I think, and more standalone releases. This being in a Collector's set seems like there are other members to be printed here.

The English product information states that's there's more Timelords in here. So I'm sure we will get them all here

"– Yusei’s Duel to save the future nearly went wrong due to Z-one’s imposing and indestructible Timelords! Master these monsters from an alternative future and you can rewind pieces of your opponent’s Deck while draining away their Life Points."

YASYASYAS

We only need three more for them to have potential. Michion, Raphion, and Tzaphion. Sandaion can be taken or left, though obviously if they balance him well enough we'll take him.

I'm still just shocked this isn't an arc-v pack only, really.

arc-v is 30-50 cards behind, all for decks that have been released, and not including the side characters like BB or the sisters.

dont think much good can come of timelords, either. Either garbage or just plain unfun.

EDIT: there isn't really room for all 9 remaining.

I don't know about you, but Tag Force 6 balanced Sandaion perfectly. 4k attacker, but it deals no damage. Turning it into a card that just outs things and then slaps for 2k later.

Eh, excuse me? What do you mean? I'm just saying it's different artworks, that's all! Not trying to being a nit-picky, okay?

It's not exactly nitpicky if you're making a comparison between two similar arts of the same card, geez.

So having the other Timelords too? That's AWESOME!!! :D

But the artworks, I prefer the anime version. :(

The nitpicking is preferring the animu archetype when you have to use a magnifying glass to even realize a difference :V

That does give me hope for other members, if not all of them (But I doubt all of them. Probably just the more "remembered" ones, like Razion, Gabrion, Sandaion).

Although I'm weirded out by the mention of Yusei vs Z-One for the English product, considering the dub skipped the final arc entirely. Unless it's just a translation of the Japanese product info, it just seems kind of odd for the TCG products to reference parts of the anime series that, as far as English audiences know, NEVER HAPPENED.

There's been an official English sub that's been released.

O_O

So...randomly printing one of the Temporal Machine Gods. I legitimately did not expect them to do anything after Metaion and Sephylon, especially since Sephylon has no connection to the rest of the "archetype".

And Razion is loyal to the anime version, maybe even slightly buffed since it can burn for 1000 any time the opponent draws, even if it's just once per turn. And none of the TMGs have "you cannot Summon other monsters".

Well it can summon them. Isn't that kinda what Sephylon is supposed to do

I didn't expect Timelords other than Metaion and Sephylon to get printed.

So it's the anime effect with Tag Force restrictions, except it doesn't spin your opponent's front row, and the draw burn effect actually got a slight buff.

I can see this being an interesting side choice.

Well...it took them this long, to print them in a Gen V extra pack nonetheless.

It's pretty decent and is as strong as the anime effect if I recall. It's pretty potent against Grass Decks (ignoring annoyances like Snow) and stuff like True Dracos wouldn't mind the extra Normal Summon.
