Dual Attribute Concept - Magma Storm Golem

Very rough attempt at working out a minor game mechanic here. Base concept is that monsters with dual attribute have a base attribute, which is the leftmost part of the attribute, and can shift their attribute once per turn, thus gaining key effects based on the current attribute, kinda inspired by the basic theming of stuff like Desert Twister and Frost n Flame Dragon. Magma Storm is pretty basic as monsters go, with the rough theme of magma cooling/heating up, and mainly exists as a concept for this dual-attribute thing.

Magma Storm Golem
This card cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. This card can only be special summoned(From your hand) By banishing a total of 2 FIRE and/or EARTH monsters from your graveyard. Once per turn, you can change the base-attribute of this card. This card gains the following effects, depending on it's current attribute:
FIRE - When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, inflict 1000 points of damage to your opponent's life points. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 monster you control; deal 1000 points of damage to your opponent's life points.
EARTH -  This card is changed to Defense Position; it's battle position cannot be changed and it cannot be destroyed by battle.

Possessive "its" has no apostrophe

Seems like a cute card for battle packs. Will never see meta play unless you run into a deck with no monster removal, but it could be enjoyable for casual play. I feel like not being able to be destroyed by battle is OP in that case, because casual play doesn't let you pump out Castels from your ass, or use cards like Interrupted Kaiju Slumber, Raigeki, etc. For that, I would give it some kind of protection other than just flat-out can't be destroyed by battle, because then it just becomes a broken card for casual play but too easy to remove in meta play.

Also, what's stopping you from just writing out that it can change its attribute while on the field? You could say that you can change the attribute and it gains effects based on which attribute it is. There doesn't need to be a subtype for this, because you can write it in the effect anyway.

Light and Darkness Dragon comes to mind, though it's more two Attributes than interchangeable. For that, there's Homunculus the Alchemic Being, but it can change to any Attribute without any innate incentive to do so.

I think this is a cool concept given the different inherent effects depending on Attribute, it feels like these Dual Attribute monsters have a whole new "Attack/Defense Position". They're better than Geminis too, in that you don't have to give up the heavy cost of a summon to switch over. Also a sucker for the visual of that split Attribute symbol, nicely done. ^_^
