Insect/Effect

Unaffected by the effects of "Hole" Normal Trap Cards. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Traptrix" monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 Set Spell/Trap Card you control; return that target to the hand, then you can Set 1 Spell/Trap Card from your hand.

We finally get a monster searcher for Traptrix, discuss?

them stats tho...

On the bright side, we finally got the iconic venus fly trap

EDIT: wait, it's an insect? I'm not versed in predatory insects who use deception as their hunting tactic, so I have no idea what this could be. We already have the ant lion and the tunneling spider, what could this be?

Also, Dionaea is the venus flytrap

Anyway, really wondering why they didn't make Nepenthes search on Normal Summon in the first place. Still, more Traptrix are welcomed, at the very least for having more good targets to run along Dionaea.

I too would have preferred or this to have an on-Special-Summon effect, to follow both Myrmeleo and Dionaea. Oh well, grabbing Dionaea or Myrmeleo on Normal Summon should be good enough.

Oh fun, they are still doing the mini Archetypes in the new era, that is nice. Hopefully we'll get more support for overlooked Archetypes in the future as well. As for this card, well it's pretty neat, and having more monsters is what I really wanted from them, so that's nice. Last effect is pretty fun too.

Well this can help f*** up stuff like Cosmic Cyclone which is really really nice

For the record thats probably not gonna be how it will play out.

You have information that this card exists so at most it deters from activating cosmic cyclone or forces you to go into BP to get rid of Coronatus if you wanted to. IMO theres nothing stopping you from setting Cosmic Cyclone and waiting for Coronatus from leaving the field.

It also doesn't protect face-up S/T which the quickplay removals are usually saved for

I also misread, I thought it could activate the card the turn you set it.

Swapping something that's not chain-able (Torrential/Solemns) for something that is was my goal

Also you can set the same card though, so I thought cycle warning to dodge a True Draco spell's grave effect

Sadly it was not meant to be

this also makes EP twin twisters/cyclone far less dangerous for you. i love the art, and the effect, not to mention it doesn't have a hard OPT, so multiple copies can lead to some hilarious traptricks. especially if artifacts are involved. nothing about this card is especially powerful, but it's solid support for one of my favorite decks. not to mention new toolbox options are always welcome.
