So yeah, bringing out an Archetype around a series of monsters that need a TRAP (strike 1) that Tributes a sub-par Synchro they control (Strike 2) to Summon a monster from the Deck that is wholly useless grade-screwing trash in the hand (STRIKE 3) somehow did not take off too well.

 

(save for /Assault Mode Stardust, which is basically the poor man's Cosmic Blazar now, but I digress)

 

Here at the BlaDeS of Change workshop, we seek to change that. So here's some MOAR wholly useless hand-screwing trash that also double as hand traps (didn't make Darklords top tier and won't do the same here, you say? WELL UP YERS PAL, I'M TRYIN' OVER 'ERE) as well as some good spells that might help along your strategies.

 

Watch this line, I'm only releasing HALF(!) of the /Assault Mode category with this run-through, and two of them are evolutions of cards I made before. Links are your friends people, and I'm not just talking about Decode Talker.

FIRE/Dragon-Type Effect Monster/Level 9/2900 ATK/2300 DEF
 
Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with "Assault Mode Activate", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during either player's turn, while this card is in your hand or face-up on the field: You can shuffle 1 "Assault" card from your hand into the Deck; change the battle position of 1 monster your opponent controls. When this card is Special Summoned: You can banish as many Set cards your opponent controls as possible, also make the ATK and DEF of all monsters your opponent controls become 0. If this card in its owner's control is destroyed, Special Summon 1 "Black Rose Dragon" from your Graveyard.

Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with "Assault Mode Activate", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, while this card is face-up on the field or in your hand; You can shuffle 1 "Assault" monster from your hand into the Deck, then target 2 "Assault" monsters from your Graveyard whose total Levels equal 6 or less; add them to the hand. When this card is Special Summoned, you can return 1 face-up card and/or 1 Set card on the field to your hand. If this card in its owner's control is destroyed, Special Summon 1 "Mist Wurm" from your Graveyard.

Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with "Assault Mode Activate", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, while this card is face-up on the field or in your hand; You can reveal 1 "Assault" monster from your hand, and if you do, the Type of all monsters your opponent controls or in their Graveyard becomes the revealed monster's original Type, until the end of the next turn. All monsters you control are unaffected by the effects of monsters in your opponent's possession with the same Type as a monster in the Graveyard. If this card in its owner's control is destroyed, Special Summon 1 "Chaos Scion" from your Graveyard.

Basically, a tournament entry on this very forum, who's original form was a distaff counterpart to "Chaos Goddess". I've done some work on it since then-even dedicating its original picture to this /Assault Mode version. Card's here if you're curious.

Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with "Assault Mode Activate", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, if you control no other monsters: You can Set up to 2 Equip Spell Cards with different names directly from your Deck.  If a monster you control would be destroyed by battle while this card is in your hand or face-up on the field, you can banish 1 "Assault" card from your hand instead. If this card in its owner's control is destroyed, Special Summon 1 "Power Tool Dragon" from your Graveyard.

While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot activate card effects during the Battle Phase. If this card in its owner's control is destroyed, Special Summon 1 "Frozen Fitzgerald" from your Graveyard.

Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with "Assault Mode Activate", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If this card is Special Summoned; You can banish 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls, then banish 1 card from your opponent's hand (if any.) While this card is face-up on the field, any card sent to your opponent's Graveyard is banished instead, their monsters lose 2000 ATK and DEF while they control them, also all damage they take is doubled. If this card in its owner's control is destroyed, Special Summon 1 "Old Entity Thulu" from your Graveyard.

Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. When this card is in your hand: You can target up to 5 "Assault" cards in your Graveyard with different names; shuffle them into the Deck, and if you do, Special Summon this card, and if you do, it loses Levels equal to the number of cards you returned with this effect, until the End Phase. If this card is used as a Synchro, Fusion or Advent Material for a Summon: You can Special Summon 1 "Arcane Apprentice" from your hand or Deck. You can only control 1 "Arcane Mentor".

Otherwise, send them to the Graveyard. Each time your opponent takes effect damage or pays LP to activate an effect, all monsters they control lose 300 ATK and DEF.

Once per turn, if an "Assault" card(s) is returned from your hand or Graveyard to the Deck, except by this card's effect: You can draw 1 card. Once per turn: You can return 1 "/Assault Mode" monster from your hand or that is face-up on the field to the Extra Deck: Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower monster from your Deck with the same Type and Attribute as the returned monster, but its effects are negated, also return it to the hand during the End Phase.

 Lore: (This card is also always treated as an "Assault Mode" card.) 
When you have 1 or fewer cards in your hand: Add 1 "Arcane" Tuner and 1 "/Assault Mode" monster from your Deck to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Arcane Tutelage" once per turn.
