Whoa, I want to play!

[spoiler=I think I'm done now.]MX55gTQ.png

"That's probably the right answer. I think."

Character Name: "John" Creed

Age: 16

Sex: Yes

[spoiler=Appearance]

PUpHfH2.png

Hair is a dull lavender color. Wears color contacts, so his real eye color is questionable. Creed is 5'11" and clocks in at 173lbs

His Hero Costume is a red and pink full-body suit that has an upwards arrow design on the chest, separating the red and pink sections (red on top, pink on bottom). He also wears boots that are hooked on the bottom, similar to cleats, that will allow him to stand on a wall for a very short period of time, just long enough to be able to use his Quirk. He also wears a pair of aviator goggles that he wears normally, to both protect his eyes and hide where he is looking. His hair is also tied back in a small ponytail to keep it from going everywhere while jumping around.

[spoiler=Personality]

Contrary to his name, Creed is an absolute liar. Although he doesn't do it maliciously, he normally will lie about random, or irrelevant things, such as his age or his personal life. Oftentimes he'll make a lie completely outrageous just to see if people will believe him It's not as if he lies to brag, though. It's mostly just if he feels like the truth doesn't really matter. One of his hobbies is to make up an answer if someone asks about his personal life, and see if people notice inconsistencies. While most of his lies are small petty things that no normal person would care enough about to dispute, he is able to make much bigger and more important lies. Most people don't actually even know what his first name actually is, since he'll give a different answer each time someone asks.

In day to day life, he is somewhat lazy, and enjoys sleeping in more than anything. It takes him about an hour and a half to actually wake up and get out of bed. He is fully aware of this, and will often not sleep before something important, thinking that if he sleeps, he won't be up on time. It never goes well. In terms of actually doing work, he doesn't like to put in more effort than is actually required. If he has to write a five page essay, it will never be any longer than exactly five pages. His work ethic is somewhat linear and results-oriented, but in a lazy way. To him, it only matters that something gets done, not how much effort was put into it. Still, he manages to impress his superiors somehow.

Creed is extremely skilled at determining trajectories, and how momentum will transfer. He's used this knowledge effectively when playing carnival games, or when making bets in pool. People who know him don't ever want to play him, and he's gotten himself banned from an arcade before.

[spoiler=Biography]

Creed is the son of the hero Velocity, who was well known for his ability to fly as fast as Mach 7.5, which was the fastest of any flying quirk known so far, and the heroine Barrier Princess, who could create panels of light that could act as both platforms or shields. Naturally, Creed grew up with a lot of pressure on him to have a strong quirk like his parents and become a hero. When Creed's quirk first manifested, he didn't ever realize it. He initially focused too hard on having a quirk like his parents that he never met the requirements to activate his quirk. He went on until the age of 5 beleiving that he was Quirkless. He first discovered his quirk when he was wandering through the woods with a group of friends. One boy had slipped and fallen down a cliff, and Creed reached out to try to grab him. He was too slow, however, and missed his friend. At that point, when he thought his friend would die because of his failure, a blue square appeared just below his friend. When the boy landed on it, he rebounded about a half a foot into the air, and then landed on the ground. (It later turned out that the boy would have been fine anyway because it was only a five foot drop.)

Finally armed with a new quirk, he received his Quirk Counseling and started trying to practice with his parents. He had a hard time learning from them, since both of their Quirks were fundamentally different. It wasn't until the age of 12 that he was fully confident in the understanding of his quirk. His parents, still hoping to get their son enrolled in a hero course, wanted to give Creed the best education that they could give. Throughout his middle school years, he went to a private academy in America. Coming up on his high school age, his parents made the decision to enroll him in one of the best hero courses on the planet: U.A. High School in Japan. Funded by his parents, Creed moved into an apartment on his own and settled in. Creed's entrance exam went near flawlessly, earning 5th place in his group.

[spoiler=Quirk]Launch Pad

Creed can create up to 5 squares of light in desired locations that function as jump stands. The squares are just under a foot, and vary in opacity. These squares can float in the air or be embedded on a surface. When touched, the pad will propel Creed in the direction that it is facing, at a speed that varies based on the opacity of the square.

  • Initializing the Quirk: Before using Launch Pad, Creed must first initialize the quirk. It's near instantaneous and requires no special movements, but what initializing the quirk does is create 5 small red spheres that exist around Creed. Two will appear on his chest, two on each shoulder, and one on his back. These spheres represent the number of squares he has left to create. These spheres will disappear once Creed's feet are no longer on a solid surface. Every time that Creed uses all 5 launch pads, or after he lands, the quirk needs to be reinitialized. Only 5 launch pads may be out at a time.
  • Creating Launch Pads: To create a launch pad, while both feet are on a solid surface, Creed simply needs to look in the direction where he wants the pad to be placed. A sphere will disappear and a pink square will appear where desired, with the angle and speed that Creed chooses. Once a launch pad has been created and placed, its angle and opacity cannot be changed. Launch pads cannot be created while Creed is in the air.
  • Angle and Opacity: Each pad that is created will vary in opacity, from being almost transparent to being near opaque. At the lowest opacity, a launch pad will only give the force of about a regular jump. At max opacity, Creed can jump off of it at almost Mach 1, although doing that leaves him incredibly disoriented and unable to even stand for a few minutes. If Creed pushes himself off as he makes contact with the panel, he'll move faster than if he had not. A pad will also only launch at one angle, and is not visible from behind. An object that is traveling in the same direction as the pad is facing will not have any interaction with the jump pad, and will simply pass through instead. To be able to interact with a jump pad, an object must hit the face of it at an angle of less than 180o.
  • Using a Launch Pad: If a launch pad is out, Creed will be propelled in whatever direction it is facing when he touches it. A launch pad exists for only a single use, and will disappear afterwards. However, Creed can also choose the target of a launch pad. He can use it on opponents and allies, either to give support or to create a trap. Launch pads can also be used on objects, although the rules behind it are different. If an object is moving towards a launch pad at a faster speed it would be launched at, the pad will instead disappear on contact and the object loses all momentum and will fall to the ground.

[spoiler=Miscellaneous]

  • Creed is allergic to most pets, dust, some medicines and literally every type of pollen. Also has a pseudo allergy to certain fruits, which causes slight itching in the throat when he eats them.
  • He absolutely hates the spring season because of allergies. He hates having to take almost three times a normal dose of allergy medications to be able to go outside.
  • He really likes pets, which is unfortunate because he is allergic.
  • Does not like being near U.A.'s school nurse, because she triggers his allergies.
  • He prefers to be called by his surname, Creed. If people ask what his first name is, he'll make up a name on the spot, copy the name of the person asking, or sometimes say he doesn't have one.
  • Once made his classmates believe that he had a son. This lasted for about a month, and he used his own baby pictures if someone asked for a picture.
  • Has an amazing poker face.
  • Is very skilled at picking locks. Not very relevant in the current era, but still situationally useful.
  • Creed is somewhat knowledgeable in hacking, able to access some hidden files or find a password sometimes, but he is still mostly amateurish in the area.
  • Likes to hustle people in billiards. Very skilled at trick shots.
  • While Creed's Quirk is well-suited for teamwork, Creed sometimes has trouble keeping track of his teammates, and may not always work well in a team-based combat environment.
  • Listens to music while doing most things, even while in combat. Depending on the situation, he'll wear headphones or blast it on a speaker for everyone to hear.
  • Carries around a small instant translation device, as he does not actually speak Japanese.
[spoiler=His Parents and Their Quirks][spoiler=Velocity - Ernest Creed]Velocity was the owner of the quirk HyperSonic, which allowed him to fly at speeds exceeding Mach 5. His fastest recorded speed ever was 6,992.4 mph, just above Mach 9. His quirk also granted him super speed on the ground, but not at the same level as his flight capabilities were. On the ground, he was capable of running at about 700 mph, never being able to go past Mach 1 on the ground. In the air, he could accelerate from zero to Mach 1 in only 3 seconds. On the ground, he needs to run for about an eighth of a mile to reach his top speed.

[spoiler=Barrier Princess - Victoria SaVille-Creed]Victoria SaVille-Creed, otherwise known as The Barrier Princess, was born with the quirk Light Panel, allowing her to create panels of light that could function as both a shield and a platform. They can vary in size, unlike her son's Launch Pad, and are mint green instead of pink. They also have no propulsion properties, and once created, would simply exist until they were recalled or broken. She has a limit of 3, but she is able to create them while airborne, unlike Launch Pad.

Okay, I'm like 97% sure I'm done.

[spoiler=No Sight, No Sound]KgYz0qS.jpg

"Could you please stop staring at that?"

Character Name: Seiko Aozora / 青空 清子 (Aozora Seiko)

Age: 14

Sex: How lewd

[spoiler=Appearance]

Hak8191.jpg

Seiko is 5'2" and clocks in at 102 lbs.

Seiko is both blind and deaf, as a side effect of her quirk.

[spoiler=Personality]

At the base of her character, Seiko is a very kind and endearing girl. Although she can be shy at times, she is very good at interacting with strangers, since she needs another person to be able to see. Her lighthearted attitude can often lead people to forget that she is cannot see or hear without her quirk. While she can still make her way around a familiar place without using her quirk, such as when she's at home, new places force her to find a set of eyes to be able to navigate. She can also be somewhat lightheaded at times, and is rather gullible. She doesn't like to tell people this, but people close to her have figured it out and love to play pranks on her.

Seiko is embarrassed rather easily, especially when she watches herself fall for something while using her quirk. She also turns red if someone that she's linked with stares at her too long (or in the wrong place), and doesn't hesitate to smack someone. It's for this reason that she doesn't like to use her quirk with guys.

Even when her quirk isn't active, Seiko carries herself in a way that makes her look like she isn't disabled. However, it is amusing to watch when she proudly strides headfirst into a wall. Since she doesn't naturally have the ability to see or hear, her body gradually developed around that, giving her other natural strengths that normal people don't have without a quirk. For example, Seiko's ability to commit something to memory is incredibly strong. As an indirect effect of her quirk, she can learn details very quickly, and learn the layout of a place and how to get there just by visiting once. She can also quickly recall people she's linked with before, even if she never saw them, just by the way their vision looks. She also has a strengthened sense of touch, able to sense strong vibrations through the ground and is able to track their origin, too.

[spoiler=Biography]

Seiko's parents both have sensory-related quirks, with her father's vision having about a 200x zoom capability, and her mother able to visualize soundwaves. She was born with her quirk already manifested, and as a baby, rarely reacted to the world around her. She couldn't see it nor hear it. At about 3 months old, she touched her father's forehead while being held, and activated her quirk for the first time. Upon discovering her quirk, her parents began to travel the world, allowing Seiko to use their quirks to be able to experience the world in a way that most other people wouldn't be able to. She was absolutely fascinated by her experiences, and when she began primary school, was rather disappointed when she learned that other people couldn't see and hear like her parents could. For almost two years, she would exclusively link with people who had vision or hearing related quirks. Otherwise, she'd go without a link and somehow manage through class.

When she was almost 10, she had an encounter with a villain. She had been walking home without a link, so she was easily snuck up on. When a pro hero appeared to help, he allowed her to link, and gave her the chance to see professional combat from a first person view. She was absolutely stunned. After defeating the villain and apprehending him, the pro hero offered to escort Seiko back to her home. It was at that point that Seiko became a fan of heroes, and aspired to be one herself. She never learned the name of the hero that helped her, nor what they looked like. She only knows their vision.

Her parents were surprised by her newfound desire. They supported her the best that they could, although they weren't sure if she could go through with it. Regardless, they pushed her to go towards a hero course, and eventually, they admitted her to the prestigious hero academy, U.A. She trained as well as she could during the months leading up to her entrance exam. By that morning, she made her way to U.A., with the help of her parents to find the building, and went inside, ready to begin her path to becoming a pro hero, and figuring out who saved her that day. Using the test monitor's eyes, she passed the written exam with a near perfect score. A few minutes later, the practical exam started...

...she failed spectacularly. She couldn't find someone to link with, and only managed to get a single point by sheer luck. She was incapacitated for the remainer of the exam, and ended with a score of 1 villain point and zero rescue points. She was placed in the general studies course instead, although she hopes that she can find redemption and possibly a transfer through the U.A. Sports Festival.

[spoiler=Quirk]Sensory Shift

Sensory Shift allows Seiko to see and hear through other people's senses. As she is both blind and deaf, she relies heavily on her quirk in daily life.

  • Activating Sensory Shift: To be able to use her quirk, all Seiko needs to do is touch her target's forehead with her index finger. This leaves a blue heart-shaped mark on the point of contact, marking her quirk as active and designating her target. Once this mark is placed, it cannot be removed as long as Sensory Shift is active. While she is connected to someone, her eyes take on a faint blue glow, and a matching heart symbol appears on her own forehead.
  • While Sensory Shift is Active: During Sensory Shift, the target feels no change, and can easily be unaware that the quirk is even active. Seiko's sight and hearing become synchronized with those of the target. The sync is near perfect, with a lag of only about 5-6 milliseconds. She acquires all of the target's visual and auditory capabilities, including defects. This means things like near or far sightedness, astigmatism, and tinnitus will affect her as well. Sensory Shift can also only have one active target at a time, and no new links may be created while an older one is still active. Seiko can maintain a Sensory Shift link for as long as she likes, although the target does need to stay within a 5-meter radius.
  • Compatible Targets: Seiko can use Sensory Shift on any living human, as well as a small number of animals. Compatible animals often have quirks, but there are some naturally intelligent, but quirkless animals that she can link with.
  • Terminating the Link: Seiko can end a Sensory Shift link at will by touching the heart mark that appears on her forehead. A link will also terminate if either she or the target is rendered unconscious, either by falling asleep or through trauma. If either Seiko or the target exit Sensory Shift's effective range, the connection will end as well.

Power: ★☆☆☆☆

Speed: ★☆☆☆☆

Technique: ★★★☆☆

Intelligence: ★★★★★

Cooperativeness: ★★★★★

[spoiler=Miscellaneous]

  • Prefers to Sensory Shift with girls as opposed to guys, because she can see everything that they focus on. men are lewd
  • Without a Sensory Shift target, she can sense the footsteps of other people through the ground and other strong vibrations and can navigate through that.
  • She cannot detect walls without bumping into them.
  • She sometimes has a walking cane to feel around, but loses it often.
  • She is incredibly gullible.

She and Creed are friends somehow. Probably not.

[spoiler=Awooo]

J8sYs05.png
I wish I was telepathic.

Name: Sayuri Sasaki

Age: 14

Sex: Female

[spoiler=Appearance]1nk3WDH.png
Height: 4'9"
Weight: 109 pounds

[spoiler=Personality]Sayuri is the sort of person who tells it like she thinks it is without really taking into consideration any sort of consequences for her words. She just jots down the first thing that comes to her mind and shows it for all to see. Her worldviews are very casual ones, strongly believing that violence shouldn't really be the answer to problems and that villains really want attention more than anything. For someone on the road to becoming a hero, she's a painfully idealistic person, and although her appearance can be a bit spooky, Sayuri herself is pretty harmless. A bit of a pushover, even. Sayuri doesn't really like any form of conflict, and hates to disappoint people. In the pursuit of not falling short on anyone's expectations of her, Sayuri has a bad habit of just doing whatever people tell her to without really thinking for herself when given orders.

She loves positive attention though. A little positive reinforcement can go a long way in guiding Sayuri through life, be it with verbal praise or rewarding her efforts somehow. However, she doesn't like when people pat her head. Sayuri makes a point to remind people that, although she may have some wolf-like features - Sayuri is a human and not a canine. She isn't a lapdog, and dislikes being treated as such. She'd much rather be recognized as just being Sayuri Sasaki, especially if that recognition comes with enjoying art.

Art is her great passion in life. Sayuri aspires to become a famous manga artist one day, and in that regard is a bit upset with herself with how she allowed herself to just waltz into U.A. for fear of upsetting her parents. Talking to her about art is bound to get her attention, and she'd be more than happy to show off sketches, doodles, and more. Her greatest friends in the world are the pair of her drawpad and stylus, and she tries to keep a pencil and sketchbook handy when she's out of her apartment.

Despite being physically fit, Sayuri admits that her health is largely a result of training to make her family proud of her. Rather than exercise, she'd much rather sit in front of a computer all day, drawing and drawing until her next piece is done. And then she'll probably never upload it to the internet. Sayuri is very self-conscious about the possibility of being critized - part of her drive to be a people pleaser - and so she isn't really one to break a typical routine or try new things. She's happy with what she's already got, so why bother changing anything or adding new things?

[spoiler=Biography]Sayuri is, as she calls herself, a "pedigree hero". As a result of a Quirk marriage, both of her parents have the same Quirk but with slightly different features, which in turn led to Sayuri...also having the exact same Quirk, but with the combined traits of both her parents. Knowing from the start what she'd be capable of was a pretty good motivator for her to reach her fullest potential. Mr. and Mrs. Sasaki expected her to grow and become a great hero. There were only two problems. First and most importantly, Sayuri didn't really want to be a hero. She was much more content to lie around in the snow of her northern home, and dream of one day becoming a famous manga artist. Additionally, due to some complications in her childbirth rupturing her vocal cords, Sayuri would grow up incapable of speech, and had breathing issues during her younger years.

While it led to some difficulty communicating before she learned how to read and write, Sayuri grew up pretty normally despite being mute. Once she was literate, and thus able to share her feelings and opinions in a more clear and coherent matter, Sayuri told her parents that she didn't want anything to do with the hero business. ...or at least, that's what she thinks she should have done in retrospect. Not wanting to disappoint her parents, Sayuri trained herself to become a hero, pursuing her personal interest in art only with her spare time. By the time she was finishing up junior high, Sayuri was a pretty competent hero, though most of her ability rested in defeating villains as opposed to actually protecting innocents. Her art, while not as good as it could have been if she made that her primary pursuit, was by no means lackluster either.

Sadly, artistic skill has no bearing on one's ability to enter a hero school. The time came to try to enter a hero school, and Sayuri figured the best way to make her folks proud was to start at the top: U.A. High. One long chain of train rides (and a brief voyage on a boat) later, Sayuri passed her entrance exams (barely) to enter U.A. like her family wanted. They were thrilled that she got into one of the best hero schools in the world. Sayuri briefly returned home to pack her things, before taking the long trip back to U.A. to live within the school dorms.

The whole thing has kind of snowballed out of control for Sayuri at this point, so she's planning to just continue on normally while she tries to think of the right way to explain to her parents that she doesn't really want to be a hero. Which is further complicated by her believing she's passed a point of no return down the path to a hero career of her own.

[spoiler=Quirk]Wolf-form: Sayuri's Quirk has given her numerous wolf-like characteristics. Most immediately noticable, a pair of wolf ears protrude from her head, though her human ears appear to still be there as well. These ears can hear much better than regular ears, and are also capable of hearing frequencies human ears can't pick up. However, because they're so sharp, Sayuri is sensitive to sudden loud noises, and high frequencies can cause headaches.

Sayuri's eyes have also been altered by this Quirk. Namely, her vision has been sharpened greatly. Testing indicates she has 30/5 vision. She's also quite capable of seeing in the dark, but especially bright lights can be troublesome for her. These sensory enhancements are nice and all, but on their own bring little to the table. Sayuri, luckily, hit the Wolf-form jackpot, and other, less noticable changes are also in place that make her a force to be reckoned with in close combat.

Specifically, her finger and toe nails have grown sharp and slightly hooked like claws. Sayuri has tested her claws personally, and they're capable of cutting clean through wood without damaging the claws themselves. Her teeth, in the same fashion, have become sharp fangs just as strong as her claws.

In addition to her claws, small footpads have grown on the palms of her hands and the undersides of her feet. These have no combat purpose, but are very slightly sticky. Not enough to be noticed, but just enough to allow Sayuri to briefly run along walls and jump off them if she runs around on all fours. Speaking of all fours, her skeletal structure is also a bit different, namely in her spine, hips, and legs. Her knees are double-jointed, allowing her to bend her knees backwards to stand on her hands and feet and be perfectly straight. A tail has also developed, sprouting from her hips and responsible for helping her balance. Grabbing Sayuri's tail can and will disorient her since she's come to rely on it to further her balance.

With so many cool things in one package, surely Sayuri's Quirk has some negatives. Well, in addition to the aforementioned issues with lights and sounds, and loss of balance if her tail is grabbed, there is one thing she's not so happy with. Over the entirety of her body, a light - barely even visible - coat of white fur covers Sayuri's body. This fur coat isn't thick enough to do her any good in resisting the cold, but makes her susceptible to high temperatures. Additionally, Sayuri's weight increases considerably if her fur gets wet (not to mention wet dog smells bad), slowing her down, throwing her balance off slightly, and making her really uncomfortable. Shaving the fur coat has only proven to make it grow back even thicker, which would in turn only amplify her weaknesses to heat and water.

[spoiler=Misc]Although she's fluent in sign language, Sayuri much prefers to communicate via whiteboard and marker. As an indirect result of written word being her primary form of communication, Sayuri has become an outstanding artist who can draw with precision and speed alike. She mostly prefers to draw scenery.

Sayuri's mother is Russian, and in addition to the Japanese writing systems, Sayuri has a pretty good grasp of the Russian alphabet and language. But since she's never really needed to have a conversation in Russian, she can have trouble digesting large amounts of information in the language at once.

Claims that her first manga will be a horror story with a female protagonist, but has been pretty good on keeping her writing hand silent on any details beyond that.

MATH TIME

Mr. Takeda could be seen standing next to a large block of iron with a handle at the top.  In big white letters, the front of the block said 1 ton.  The same smirk was still sprawled out across the teacher's face as he pointed towards the large, heavy block.

Okay, so this bothers me a lot. It's stated that this block is large, made of iron, and weighs one ton.

The density of iron is 7,870 kg/m3, or 491.3 lb/ft3. Let's assume that the shape of this iron block is that of a truncated pyramid, and the handle is a torus attached to the top.

First, let's handle the main body of the weight.

truncated%20pyramid.gif
To discover the volume of the main body, we just use the following equation:

yOsXq0J.png
Where a equals the side of the first base, b equals the side of the second base, and h is the height of the pyramid.

So for this weight, since it's described as large, let's give it a height of 4.5 feet. That puts it at just a little shorter than your average human. We'll also use this measurement for its top face, b, as well. For a, let's make the base of the weight 5.5 feet.

Now that we have all our measurements, the volume of the base of the weight can be calculated, coming to a total of 112.875 ft3.
[spoiler=Shown Work]
1/3 (b2 + a2 + ba) h
Let  b = 4.5
      a = 5.5
      h = 4.5

1/3 (4.52 + 5.52 + (4.5*5.5)) 4.5

1/3 (20.25 + 30.25 + 24.75) 4.5

1/3 (75.25) 4.5

25.083333 * 4.5

112.875

Now that this is worked out, let's move onto the handle. Let's assume that this handle is a torus (donut-shaped).

torus.gif

To discover the volume, we use this equation:

fAsHDSF.png
Where a equals the inner radius and b equals the outer radius.

Let's assume that this handle has a total diameter of 2 feet, with the handle itself having a thickness of 4.5 inches, or 0.375 feet. This puts our values to be a = 0.625 and b = 1.0. Plug these in, and we come out with a volume of 0.564 ft3.

[spoiler=Shown Work]
I straight up used a calculator for this. Circles and pi stuff are a pain in the butt.

http://keisan.casio.com/exec/system/1223388402

With both the main body and the handle worked out, we now have a total volume of 113.439 ft3, or 3.212 m3.

As I stated at the beginning of this post, iron has a density of 491.3 lb/ft3, or 7,870 kg/m3. With this, a block with the above dimensions and volume would have a total weight of 55,732.5 lbs, or 25,278.44 kg. In other words, this block weighs almost 28 tons.

For this block to feasibly be this size and weight, it would require a density of no more than 17.63 lb/ft3. For reference, styrofoam has a density of 64.9 lb/ft3. Our "iron" block here is lighter than styrofoam.

For this block to weigh a ton and still be made of iron, it would have to be about 18 inches tall, with a base of 21 inches, and the handle would have a 6 inch diameter and have a 1 inch thickness. For reference, I'm about 6' tall, and 18 inches is just below my knee.

If we're going to keep it at the "large" size, it could possibly be made of a light wood like pine or poplar, with a hollowed out core. This would give it the needed weight, although both VCR's and my character would have probably destroyed it, and Scoot's quirk would be useless.

I am going to say it is a small cube with no wood on it, just for my character's sake.

Not to be that guy, but that isn't for you to say. It's on Hyde's shoulders on if we have a small cube here or something that for some reason the laws of mathematics don't apply to.

Care to give us some final say, Mr. Host? I can't post without knowing this since the cube's size affects how both Asuka and Sayuri will end up moving it.

[spoiler=The Master of Earth]
Character Name: Terro Khikyū
Age: 15
Sex: Male
[spoiler=Appearance]F4GCsVs.png
Height: 5'7
Weight: 190 lbs

[spoiler=Personality]Due to being raised by his old fashioned grandfather, Terro has a very old fashioned outlook on life. He believes in honor, and does his best to stay well mannered. He tries to treat everyone respectfully and equally. He is a very warm and outgoing person, but also due to being raised by his grandfather, he is a bit awkward around people. He tries his best anyways though.

He believes in hard work and it paying off, so he can always be found training in his martial arts or in his Quirk in his free time. Beyond that, he has no hobbies, except for one other one. He is very good at making tea, and likes to improve his tea's taste.

[spoiler=Biography]Terro has no idea who his parents are. His father left his mother when was pregnant with him, and his mother during childbirth. Because of this, he was raised with his grandfather, who was a grandmaster at a dojo deep in the woods. As a result, Terro spent a good portion of his childhood training his martial arts.

Terro discovered his Quirk in a very mundane way. At the age of seven, he threw a particularly hard punch during a sparring match, caused a small clump of dirt to be dislodged from the ground and thrown across the yard at high speeds. Discovering he had what was known as a

'Quirk', he decided the best thing to do was train to become better at it. So he trained hard, soon learning how to incorporate his superpower into his martial art style.

While Terro was happy with his life, he left as if something was missing. He knew he had a great gift. Shouldn't he use it to help people, like his grandfather taught him? His grandfather agreed, sending to apply at a high school known as U.A. And so Terro was off, determined to get into U.A. and learn how exactly to be a hero.

[spoiler=Quirk]Terraforming: Terro's quirk is a simple one. He uses the earth to form things, like armor and weapons. He can even cause the earth to levitate, allowing him to set them up as projectiles or air traps. The bigger the construct he makes, the more stamina it takes for him to maintain it, and the less amount of time it will stay together. When it comes to natural metals, such as iron, gold, etc, it is possible for him to bend and mold it, however, it take a lot more stamina out of him. Creating a giant rock golem would be easier than even just moving metal.

Howdy all!

So I've been keeping track of everyone's word counts for their IC posts, and the data's been interesting. Of course, if you're in the Skype group, you've seen all this already. But if you aren't, then I'll post it here for your sake. Also so I don't have to keep flooding the Skype chat with it every time we post.

Anyway, here we go!

Last Updated: 7/29/2017 07:45 PM EDT

These are all my totals, and the data I'm using. Everyone's column has the word count of each post in it, with the total sum and the average at the bottom.

These are the rankings. The column of small numbers is the difference between the person and the poster above them's word count.

That's everything! The data is here, and take it as you will. I'll try to update this as we go along. It's also all on my Google Drive, and you can see the completely up to date spreadsheet here.

Happy postings!

Mike's suit ahoy

[spoiler=Without the Sword]

BlasterMasterZeroJason_thumb-1.jpg BlasterMasterZeroJasonActionPose_thumb-1

Suit Description:

The fabric of Mike's suit, particularly around the lower legs, feet, and fore-arms, are covered in a material that absorbs and collects the energy that Mike is able to produce. Once stored, the suit is able to release the energy with precise control through the devices on Mike's boots, gauntlets, and a jet-pack on his back, allowing a more efficient and effective use of the energy from his quirk. In short, the equipment allows Mike to make effective use of quirk without using as much energy. The release of energy can be enough to just speed up his movements, the impact of his hits, or allow for bigger jumps. While the energy released from his hands is not absorbed by the suit, the bracers on his wrists focus the energy more and allow it to have a greater effect on its targets.

The other utility is found in the bracers around his right wrist. This bracer is a collapsed barrel and can be expanded to encompass his hand and a space in front of it to form a small cannon. These cannons are large enough to fit base-ball sized projectiles that can be fired with his quirk. With his suit, Mike can enter an engagement with 3 metal spheres. Each are the perfect size to be fired from Mike's bracer-cannon and release a decent electrical shock on impact. Prior to going on a mission, Mike can request smoke-bomb variants, heavier/more-dense variants, or whatever the support department thinks up of.

For aesthetic purposes, the circlets on Mike's boots and gauntlets as well as the emblem on his chest glow brighter as he stores more energy. Too much and he may short out his suit, however.

Sorry, I couldn't find a smaller picture

[spoiler=Da suit!(Light Cobalt Blue instead of Yellow)]

1e390e8d15fa4408f1db1b2c7053af8c--sci-fi

Aaron’s suit is to keep his electricity within the suit, preventing any unnecessary wasting. The inner lining is padded with an insulating material to keep the electricity, while the outer is made of conductive material to add a layer of combat protection using his quirk as an electric grid through his gloves and boots, which is the only piece of clothing that doesn’t have the insulator material for practical reasons

.

Above each wrist is a taser that can shoot out about 35 feet. The wires tips are claw like instead of needles like most tasers making them harder to remove. If Aaron misses, the wires retract very quickly. The taser wires also act as a way of electrical absorption, stealing any type of electricity from cars to generators. The tasers give off the average 50,000 volts, like any taser, but Aaron can increase the voltage for stronger opponents. These wires can be cut off and can’t be used until repaired.

Aaron’s has a set of lightning rods, made of steel titanium alloy coated with silver and the tips made of gold, that can be used as melee weapons like cattle prods. When the butt of a rod is slammed into a hard surface, it can be planted as a stationary rod to absorb Aaron’s missed electrical projectiles and store it. Any electric stored in the stationed rod can also send bolts of lightning toward Aaron via the other rod. It can only be removed by unnatural force(i.e. super human strength), or when Aaron comes into contact with the handle, releasing the cementing mechanism.

[spoiler=Ino's Suit]

DHt6jRM.jpg?1

Ino's suit is a skin tight fabric that allows it to vibrate along side her.  The device around her next can use Ino's vibrations into a source of energy into the collar, allowing it to be able to discharge steel beads with a slight rattle to a specific point in the collar.

[spoiler=Gin's Costume]

OUUIC7i.jpg

Gin's costume harbors baggy clothes, with a menacing helmet.  The helmet has a singular ocular focal point, which makes his accuracy pinpoint.  His fingers are completely uncovered, allowing for unfettered access to his Quirk.  The black portion of his mask also acts a a sort of solar panel, absorbing all types of light radiation that he stores in the helmet.

[spoiler=Ichiro's Costume]

star_superion__ex_by_skywarp_2-d1ulv4j.p

The cape is not available for the costume. A feature that this costume adds to Ichiro is that he added a design to where there are strong athletic braces around the arms and legs of the costume. This feature allows for the wearer to prevent injury while using their Quirk, however, these aren't going to outright stop injuries on Ichiro's end, just lessens the damage he does on himself while also increasing the power output's threshold without snapping.

[spoiler=It's not easy being green]sage_namek_piccolo_by_malikstudios-d5tpy

A gi that Terro designed based on stories his Grandfather told him. The undershirt is made of a tough material that helps him defend against knives and bullets, although straight, close range shots would still get through. The black is to help cut an imposing figure, to strike fear into the hearts of those who do wrong.

I'm overly picky when it comes to images, so I'm going written descriptions for costumes.

[spoiler=Asuka Costume]Asuka's costume was designed to be simple and easy to make and wear, but also to fight her Quirk's shortcomings. The costume consists mostly of a blue suit with no sleeves, to allow free use of her crystal generation, coupled with a white set of gloves and boots. The suit itself is made of a breathable fabric to avoid sweating, and the gloves and boots were made from a sturdy leather to protect Asuka's hands and feet. The most notable feature of Asuka's costume is her mask.

The mask of Asuka's costume was modeled loosely after a gas mask, and is connected via a pair of cords to a five-gallon tank that can be worn over Asuka's back, and filled with any liquid she decides to fill it with. The mask also comes with a pair of knobs on either side that can be turned to drain the liquid from the tank through that side's respective cord, into the mask, where Asuka can drink whatever's in the tank as a means of staying hydrated in extended fights. The mask and tank are both white, similar to her gloves and boots, with the cords being a brighter blue than her suit.

[spoiler=Sayuri Costume]Sayuri didn't really care what her suit looked like, so long as it met three criteria. As such, she has a particularly bland costume, consisting almost entirely of a black suit and a featureless black hood that covers her head, with mesh patches for better air flow over her ears and mouth. She would have preferred a red one - red being her favorite color - but opted for black since her style of combat was best suited for surprise attacks. Sayuri's three criteria were as follows.

  1. The suit could not cover her hands or feet. This way, she can use her hand/footpads.
  2. The suit had to be waterproof, since a wet suit combined with her thin coat of fur meant Sayuri would be weighed down by water more than her peers.
  3. A feature meant to lessen her communication problems. In particular, Sayuri requested a text-to-speech device that could be fastened over her arm and was capable of linking up to communication channels, effectively allowing her to communicate with team members that can't see her. Since the device isn't built into her suit, Sayuri can also use the device with her regular clothes. She seems pretty happy with it.

At long last folks, HERE HE IS!!!!!!!  OFFICIALLY!!!!!!!!

[spoiler=Like the Alcohol]

HE70W3a.jpg?1

"Scram.  Before I get mad."

Character Name: Gin Otoma

Age: 15

Sex: Male

[spoiler=Appearance:]

cDNWcPZ.jpg

Height: 5'5"

Weight: 150 lbs

[spoiler=Personality:]

Gin is the kind of person who has a hard time expressing his emotions in a positive manner.  Instead, he loves to go about on tirades, yelling and screaming about.  Any one thing could set him off, making him explode on whatever dared to pull his trigger.  He wouldn't outwardly admit it to anyone he disliked, but he really did have a short fuse.  He thinks of himself as a prodigy of sorts, always being able to make it to the top of whatever he does, due to his quirk.  However, he gains the disdain of everyone he encounters, due to him being pretty nasty upon his first impressions...and his second...but mostly his third.  Gin doesn't care in the slightest if he's has the hatred of all those he meets on his shoulders.  They're just background characters to him anyways.  Once he became one of the top heroes in the business, that's when people would love him.  He loved the top heroes, so naturally when he gain the status of hero, he would be admired from afar.  He would never have to explode on anyone in public once he had their respect.

Gin doesn't hate everything per say, but if there was one thing he did love, it was fighting.  Whether with words or his fists, Gin could always let loose his pent up aggression on anyone willing to take that extra step and push him too far.  He's quite confident in his ability to do some damage to the opposition.  Gin doesn't even like to fight up close anyway.  He likes spewing hate from afar, from both his mouth and finger tips.

[spoiler=Biography:]

Gin was raised in the Naboo district of Japan, with a loving, well off family to call his own.  His father was a full-time hero who worked in their district, and his mother stayed home to look after him.  His mother was quirkless, but to Gin, they were both of his heroes.  Some nights, his dad would bring home men he had described as "Work associates" from time to time, and they had a laugh.  On those night's, he had to go to sleep early, but he didn't mind.  His dad deserved a break once in a while after fighting the rampant crimes of the Naboo district.  He would wake up early in the mornings to watch the first morning news broadcast to see what crimes his father had stopped this time.  He couldn't believe that his father was out their protecting the common folk, and his family.  It was a dream that Gin wanted to reach for himself.

One night, when Gin first obtained his quirk at 6, his room erupted into a powerful burst of colors, and destroyed half of the house.  Although he was unharmed, Gin was devastated that he had wrecked the house.  His dad assured him that it was an easy fix for a hero of his caliber, and insisted that it wasn't Gin's fault.  Upon his Quirk Checkup, he was alerted that if he didn't discharge all of the energy he absorbed in a day, what had happened would keep happening.  Knowing this, Gin's father made a special containment room for the boy to use every night.  He would discharge, feel sleepy, and then get carried to bed by his mother.

When he woke up some mornings later, he would find out that his dad was gone.  He turned the news on to see the headline: "Shocking Corruption in the Naboo district!".  It turned out that his father was paying off people to commit false crimes, be reported, and then sent to jail, only to be busted out by other people his father had paid off.  It was a never ending cycle of crime, and arrests.  That way, it seemed like his father was doing a huge service every day, and was getting paid by the government for doing such an excellent job.  On the contrary, it was a devious scheme only thought of by heinous villains.  He found out from investigators that came to his house later that his father had also used his mother as a bargaining chip in some negotiations that were a little risky.  All these things, everything he knew, where he lived, they were all built on lies.  It filled Gin with so much ill will towards his father, towards a terrible hero.

Gin swore to himself, and his mother, that he would never be a hero like his father.  Calling him a hero then made him sick to his stomach.  If his father was a hero, then Gin would become the paragon of justice.  No matter how much he told himself that not all people were like that, all he could see is his mother's face when the investigators had revealed the truth to him.  That face, and his father, just fill him with rage.  It will forever have an effect on how he interacts with people they call, "heroes".

[spoiler=Quirk:]

Wavelength:  Gin's Quirk allows him to absorb all wavelengths of radiation near him, and stores them in his body's cells.  This means that he is practically immune to all forms of radiation in general, as his body is basically a lightning rod for that kind of energy.  This also means that he cannot get a tan, since his DNA is unaffected by the suns harmful rays.  While also being able to absorb radiation, he is also capable of discharging concentrated amounts of it through the tips of his pointer fingers.  The intensity, and damage, these discharges can produce varies on what type of wavelength frequency he so chooses.  The types of discharges are as follows.

Radio: Small, invisible, concussive beams.  Travel extremely slow through the air.

Micro-piston: Larger, stronger, invisible, concussive bubbles.  Travels slow, but faster than Radio.

Infray-red:  Small red stream, barely visible unless seen through dense air, burns on contact if left on a target for too long.

[spoiler=Visible Light]

Red-Volver: Small red rays about six inches long.  Impacts.  At higher concentrations, can pierce metal.

Agent Orange:  Small orange rays about five and a half inches long.  Disintegrates cloth on contact, burns the skin.  Faster than red.  Higher impact than red.

Yell-M-G: Fires three small Yellow Rings twelve inches in diameter.  Has powerful impact to it that can punch through concrete.

Gree.N.T.: Fired in the shape of a triangle.  Able to pierce into metals.  Explodes on impact.  Very Fast.

Blue-ger Burst: An intense stream of constant radiation erupts from Gin's finger.  Concussive force, along with intense heat.

Ind Sniper: Typically referred to as "End Sniper".  Gin's entire arm lights up, as the power cannot be simply contained within his fingertip.  Rather, it shoots out of his entire arm, damaging it in the process.  Able to dent thick steel.

Violet:  Gin must clasp both fingers together to fire off this attack.  The force from it pushes him back.  Able to destroy small buildings.  Causes damage to his tendons.

Ultra Violence: Gin has only ever used this once, in practice.  Was able to fire it off in his back yard, and make a hole deeper than he could see down.  Caught fire to the grass surrounding it.

X-Caliber: Crosses both arms to form an X shape, and fires a large Black X, outlined with a ferociously strong white.  Vaporizes anything on contact, and causes a large explosion after a certain travel dsitance.

Gamma: Never  used.

Gin must discharge all the energy he has absorbed in a day, or else his body will naturally do it around 10 P.M.  Discharging all of this energy makes Gin incredibly tired, and he can barely stay conscious for more than a minute afterwards.

Nyow

@Mr. Hyde

[spoiler=Application]

Character Name: Hana

Age: 15

Sex: F

[spoiler=Appearance]

2c8ff44efe4f868f8de0e915ed42c570.jpg

Six fingers on both hands.

Height: 6'5"

Weight: 280 lbs

[spoiler=Hero Costume]

a222f4c2cf6cb23cf02f4aabcb68fc0c.pngunknown.png

Note: Imagine the non-helmet materials to be much heavier, thicker and more protective counterparts than shown here, cloth parts replaced with armor. It's also constructed to be easy to remove quickly. Add the helmet to the costume and apply its black/blue/gold color scheme to the rest of the attire.

[spoiler=Personality] The defining trait of Hana's personality is her ignorance of behavioral boundaries. While she learned filial obedience from her intellectual mother, she was never taught behavior in human society, instead resorting to rote memoryーa behavioral flowchart to be faithfully followed based on pervasive aesops even cursory human observation implicates. She inherited her parents' ambitious and cloistered personality traits, but her naivety turns these into eager, unstoppable curiosity. She has no emotional or psychological issues communicating with others, but she won't understand societal expectations or contextual content, and she won't seek discussion with others unless something interests her or synergy is required.

Because of her past, her personality becomes dangerously antisocial beyond this point. She has little human moral and conventional understanding, and this shines unstintingly in competitive and combative situations. In combat, she becomes a very calculating but brutally homicidal and cold-blooded demon, foregoing dialogue or rest to continue whatever onslaught she's on, never placing distance between her and an enemy if she can maul on or grip them.

On the other hand, she has over a decade of fighting in a team with others and understanding her role in a fight. She takes very well to strategy and, growing in the wilderness, has an endearing and protective affinity for whatever ingroup she joins, though she can fend for herself independently very well. With an understanding of the importance of teamwork, she cooperates effectively with little convincing required. Because she sees opposing humans as prey, she's not above biting or brutalizing an enemy, and she might communicate her cannibalistic intent through salivation, though, because she can recognize not all humans are prey, a teammate or teacher will have an easy time teaching her to henceforth refrain.

Shockingly, she's very feminine outside of a fight when left to her own devices. Since joining society, markedly feminine clothing and cosmetics has fascinated her. She's much more gentle with her ingroup and is prone to self-sacrifice for a friend's sake, though her ambitious, destiny-seizing genetics causes her to be cutthroat in competitionーeven within her ingroupーand very encouraging to friends pursuing their proper ambitions.

[spoiler=Biography] Hana's family has a tendency toward mutant-type quirks, inheriting a combination of her parents' quirks: her father's Wendigo quirk and his mother's Satori quirk. While her parents were both meritocratic mavericks who sought freedom of innocent quirk usage for whatever pursuits and were exasperated by the legal suppression of quirks that prevented many talented poor from prospering and being recognized, their sufferance was eventually overcome by their quirks' shared, ultimate caveat and their ulterior motive: an agonizing appetite for humans, they only ever previously sated with corpses at crime scenes. Her mother's quirk gave her precognition and increased agility, helping the two find and escape with crime and accident victims before authority arrival. They fled from human society when the mother became pregnant to seek a more secure way of finding humans to consume.

They elected to live in mountains and forests at the uncivilized outskirts of the country, especially in wilds near rural towns, where they could not be identified. Before their escape, however, her mother had her legally designated as homeschooled, teaching her the required materials for government-mandated graduatory tests. In those rough areas, Hana had grown up learning to fight like and with violent animals; her father's Wendigo quirk gave him unparalleled, demonic viciousness in combat and hunger in synthesis with the mythical creature's physique, which she learned to fight from birth to fight from. Her Oni quirk combined the compact, efficient litheness of the Satori quirk with the brute strength, viciousness and insatiable hunger of the Wendigo quirk, which let her keep up with her father when hunting.

Born outside of societal confines, Hana never learned its values; it was no issue for her insatiable hunger to accept human meals. Their strategy was elegant: her mother's precognition finds and lures wanderers, explorers and townspeople who leave into the wilds, inconspicuously leading them further into the wilds with the litheness keeping their curiosity, and as they travel too far, she and her father ambush and kill them—search parties were their favorite. While it was moralistically gruesome, the family enjoyed this free life and, escaping to different isolated mountains and forests when locals of the current area grew suspicious.

After over a decade, their justification for returning to modern society was twofold: Hana's extreme physical prowess and survivalist ability let her be independent and anachronistic stories of man-eating demons in forests and mountains were too widespread to further hide. This way, her parents could return to their original feasting strategy with the knowledge her quirk didn't require her to consume humans in particular.

Learning of heroes for the first time, Hana sought to become one because of her violent nature being (seemingly) useful there, though her parents only agreed because she had no inherent need for human fleshーa discrepancy Hana was unaware of. Near the end of her homeschooling, her parents taught her, through rote memorization, how to enter a school, go to class, take a test and keep to herself so that she could take the UA entrance test and attend class but learn how to integrate socially on her own. She excelled at the practical part of the exam, where she was able to go rabid seeking machines to destroy in resourceful and grizzly ways.

[spoiler=Quirk]

Oni: Responsible for the horns on her head, black scleras, yellow irises and six fingers, this quirk amplifies the body's tissues and substances, natural processes and their efficiency. Examples of amplified processes: rapid pubertal height increase; healing speed; sweating and heat exchange, tireless cardiovascular efficiency.... The main source of her combative prowess comes from her improved healing in tandem with a blistering metabolism; she can perform full body and maximum intensity exercise for a long time and then recover—in a few hours—enough to return to peak intensity exercise. This superhuman exercise gives her titanic strength, speed, stamina, and defense at a significant cost: she requires above ten-thousand calories a day, no thanks in part to her amplified metabolism. Her additional sixth fingers substantially increase her gripping strength. Her skin is especially thick and tough and her bones extremely dense, letting her tank and easily ignore attacks.

The main downside alongside the upkeep is that she has nothing supernatural or with special utility. She has no AoE nukes, elemental/psychic abilities, status conditions, enemy mobility impairment, special mobility, defenses or ranged attacks. She can partially circumvent these weaknesses with peerless fitness (break a person or obstacle from close up, run above olympian speeds without tiring, make immense leaps, throw things she finds, et cetera). Furthermore, besides in stamina and grip strength, her physical stats are all formidable but do not match a specialist: she can tank/ignore weak attacks, but not completely ignore attacks like Kirishima; she can make great leaps and dash at frightening speeds, but not like Gran Torino; she can punch a wall down, but she couldn't punch Nomu into the sky.

The culmination of her quirk is an augmented adrenaline rush. The adrenaline rush is locked from conscious access to protect the body, but thanks to her amplified bodily processes, she can heal from an adrenaline rush much more easily and keep her mind stable, her rushes multiplying her physical abilities much more than normal. For example, should the adrenaline rush multiply all basic physical stats before quirks by 1.5x, most people's (imaginary) stats would multiply from 5 to 7.5. Because her physical abilities are utterly natural, we can apply higher basic stats like 12 and then a stronger, 3x multiplier to 36. It's reminiscent of kaioken or orgia mode where she'll be out after she fails to sustain it, being an absolute nightmare in its midst.

Below is a spoiler with a longer list of the changes this quirk causes, including the ones listed above:

[spoiler=Changes]

-Faster regeneration.

-Faster metabolism.

-Can fully regenerate wounds which would never fully heal on a normal human.

-Much better muscle endurance.

-Heightened energy upkeep.

-Six fingers on both hands.

-Two horns on her head.

-Black scleras and yellow irises.

-Tougher and thicker skin.

-Much denser bones.

-Faster and longer pubertal height growth rate.

-Faster nail and hair growth.

-Tireless cardiovascular system.

-Increased lung capacity.

-Sweat more.

-Faster reaction time.

[spoiler=Miscellaneous 1]

Her quirk is why she has heavy and protective armor, the kernel of her battle strategy. Because her body works well under high heat and weight for long, the 250-pound armor isn't much of a burden to her. In combat, she starts in her armor to be at the vanguard. The weight of the armor reinforces her strikes, granting her the option to brace herself and pounce on an enemy/obstacle with explosive strength. Because she can lift this weight without much trouble, she's not necessarily slow while she's wearing the armor, but certainly not fast.

Her armor was made to be easy to remove so she can fight without it if an enemy was too distant or could take advantage of her armored mode. The main benefit is a huge speed, stamina and flexibility boost. She also gains various utilities from the suit of armor; because it's heavy, rugged steel, after leaving the armor, she likes to use it as a weapon to smash the opponent in, a shield/obstacle to protect herself/others (or other shield-like utilities) or throw it as a projectile.

Both modes work together differently with the rushes. In her armored mode, she burns out in a blaze of glory; becoming fast regardless of the armor, the hysterical strength of an adrenaline rush compounds with the extra weight of her armor and, on top of the armor's protection, numbing her to pain until recovery. The tradeoff of an armored mode rush is that she'll burn out much faster than she normally would and be out of the fight for longer.

In an armorless mode rush, hysterical strength applies on its own and to the armor's utilities: she can strike far harder with it, launch the 250 pounds of steel with severe strength and keep a much steadier hand when blocking attacks with it. Outside of the armor, the rush will give her devastating speed and striking strength, murderous grip strength, near-instant reaction time/reflexes, numbness to pain and better sustainability/less damage than when wearing the armor.

[spoiler=Miscellaneous 2]

Her ancient Japanese hero costume was clearly chosen because she recognizes her resourcefulness, understands her role in a fight is at the vanguard, and knows how to fight bare, but it was also chosen because of her parents' fondness for the bygone Japan. Their naming convention for Hana was the first sign of this; Hana and her mother's quirks being used to temporarily revive old, lost Japanese myths was the second sign; the

third sign was Hana's filial obedienceーa major reference to the vital Asian value of filial pietyーexpectations of utmost excellence, as well, fed this philosophical implication to conclude in an aesthetically apt costume.
