Not bad, but seems like it was made out of this era, the Graveyard isn't really the most important thing anymore, locking it down for up to two turns can be good, but I don't see that happening before your opponent finds another way to get rid of this card. The boost is pretty good though.

Uh, Paleozoics? Infernoids? Zombiesworn? SSing from the grave is still prevalent, and there's no reason to think it won't be in the future.

To be fair, Fairy Tail Snow and Paleozoics can respond to this before it can use its effect anyways, and Zombiesworn don't need any help to not be relevant. I mentioned elsewhere, but Snow even has additional benefit of reducing its stat gain.

It is a solid effect for when you're not vsing things that Quick effect you anyways tho.

I was thinking along the lines of Summoning this turn 1 of game 2 or 3. Still wouldn't do much to Paleozoics though, since their first turn is just set 4/5 pass

I want to make an archetype revolving around this guy. DARK Rock-Type is not used much, and the only Rock-Type Xyz Decks are Gogogo and KKMs.

Mmm, I think you may be a bit late. What was that R8 Sea Fortress number? I think these two might be related, though it'll be more like a series than an archetype, like Felgrand.

I'm personally curious on how big this and Aegion are.

Also would this warrant use in BE? They typically fill the grave with dragons and stuff. (Would have to summon after your plays obviously)

Last side note... it looks like a wobbling top from far away lol.

Well, we are talking about the VRAINS era yeah? Last era had a bit of that, sure, it seems more like it was made for the purposes of the ZEXAL era, which makes sense since it's a Number.

Ok, well I guarantee that VRAINS will have a lot of SSing from the GY. It's extremely useful for gathering Link Materials onto the field, especially other Link Monsters for link stacking. One example I have seen already is reviving Trickster Holy Angel with the grave effect of Trickster Reincarnation to make more efficient Link fodder for Topologic Bomber Dragon than reviving a Lilybell or a Candina.

Really solid IMO.

DARK/Rock is an underused typing so this card having it is already a plus for me.

Then, that graveyard lock for the Rank8 pool looks sweet, It may not be relevant right now, but surely will come in handy in different formats and metagames, and that's where it will offer an edge to decks that can Rank8. Also it could be funny in Blue-Eyes mirrors, I guess.

This card went straight to be one of my top favorite Numbers.

It's a nice big body for Rank 8. Sure, the ATK and DEF increase may not be much at times, but the Graveyard Special Summon lock is neat, even if the protection effect is a little slow. Maybe you could use That Grass Looks Greener for the ATK. Plus I like the Attribute and Type combination. I don't see this one that often.

Aegion is a machine, while this is rock, and is Makaijou, while this is Matenrou, what would make you think they are related?

Can you imagine how rad this card would be at SS2?

The fact they are both Rank 8s with unusual typings that are designed like some sort of fortress or large structure.

There's only two so its not definitive, but I think they may be related and I think its a justifiable hypothesis.

Their namesakes are also quite different.

Aegaion is named after one of the hundred-handed ones, while this is named after an archangel.

Frankly, this is just connecting dots with imaginary string.

Maybe so, but I honestly thought the same thing.
