Deck Masters- A Play on an old mechanic

Hey y'all, I'm coming at ya with some more cards. this time we are exploring the possibilities of Deck master monsters. This concept is relatively the same as the Virtual World's version of if  (but hopefully improved upon).

[spoiler=How Deck Masters Work]

Deck Master monsters work similar to pendulum monsters and the classic version of them in the Virtual world arc from duel monsters. Much like the name sounds these monsters are the "Masters" of your deck so therefore only one copy can be used in a duel.

Beginning the game:

when you start the duel each deck master is placed in your FIELD SPELL zone, Deck masters act similarly to pendulum monsters in that they can be considered spells as well.

Deck Master Monsters-

Summoning: Deck master monster can be summoned straight from the FIELD SPELL zone. However, in order to incorporate them into the upcoming Link era, Deck Master Monsters have requirements to summon them just like any other extra deck monster, so you still need to link monster to summon them. Deck Master monsters cannot be pendulum summoned.

Effects: Each Deck Master some with its own special effect, these effects act like field spell effects and can be used during either player's turn unless specified.

Destruction: When a Deck Master monster is destroyed, it gets placed face up on your extra deck. If a Deck Master monster is destroyed before it is summoned you can still special summon it from your extra deck.

Here are some examples of deck master monsters based on the black Zodiac from the movie 13 Ghosts. try to guess which ghost is which card!

[spoiler= Deck master Examples]

Noyefte, The Desecration of Man

D.M. Effect: A monster that has a card equipped to it leaves the field, the owner of the equipped card can return that card to their hand. you can only activate this effect once per turn.

Monster Effect:
3 Reptile-type monsters with different names.
This card is unaffected by spell/trap cards. When this card battles a monster with an equiped card attached to it, that monster cannot be destroyed by battle once. this card can attack all monsters with a card equipped to it twice. when this card is destroyed by battle, you can attach up to 2 monsters from your graveyard to one of your opponent's monsters.

This Deck Master is the boss monster for an reptile Archetype i am currently creating. the archetype's goal is to equip its dead monsters to your opponent's cards in order to activate divesting effects. so this card helps return those monster to the hand upon destruction and has the lunalight monster's effect.

Rikther, The Judgement of Man

D.M. Effect: When your opponent adds a card to their hand (except during the draw phase) you can randomly target one card in their hand. Banish that card face down.

Monster Effect:
3 Machine-type monsters with different names.
This card is unaffected by spell/trap cards. When this card is summoned by its own effect, banish up to 4 cards with different names from your opponent's field, grave, extra deck, and hand. This card's original attack points are equal to the number of face down banished cards times 700. When this card attacks you can flip up one face down banished card then if possible activate the card's effect.

All of these monster are boss monsters for archetypes I'm currently working on. as you can probably tell Richter's archetype has to do with banishing cards facedown, his  effect can be deadly with pot of desires.

Freser, The Hunger of Man

D.M. Effect: Once per turn, if a monster's attack was negated or if a monster did not destroy one of your monster's by battle, Target one face up card your opponent controls, banish it.

Monster Effect:
3 Rock-type monsters with different names.
This card is unaffected by spell/trap cards. Once per turn this card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, during your opponent's Battle Phase, instead of taking battle damage, this card can loose attack and defense points equal to the damage you would have taken.

Freser's archetype has to do with not being destroyed by battle so it made since to give him removal (as in he's eating monsters because you know, he's hungry..). The same goes for this monster effect. allowing you to escape battle damage at least once per turn.

Nifter, The Neglect of Man

D.M. Effect: Once per turn, you can destroy one card in your hand, then add one monster with 0 defense to your hand. When a monster with 0 def is destroyed you can destroy one card on your opponent's field.

Monster Effect:
3 Zombie-type monsters with different names.
This card is unaffected by spell/trap cards. If this card is targeted by a monster effect destroy this card, then destroy 2 cards in your hand. During the end phase that this card is destroyed by its own effect, special summon it, then destroy every monster on the field with 100 or more Defense.

Her archetype deals with getting monsters with 0 Defense to grave quickly. he monster effect is a great way to nuke the field with out targeting,

Malekh, The Innocence of Man

D.M. Effect: You can only activate one of the following effects per turn during either player's turn. If you control a Dark attribute monster: negate the effects of all Non-Dark attribute monsters. If you control a Light attribute monster: Your opponent can only special summon 1 Non-Light attribute monster this turn, this effect must be activated during the draw phase. If you control an Earth attribute monster: Flip all face up Non-Earth attribute monsters to face down defense position.

Monster Effect:
3 Psychic-type monsters with different names.
This card is unaffected by spell/trap cards. This card is also a(n) Light and Earth attribute monster. If this card battles a monster with a different attribute, destroy that monster before damage calculation. If this card battles a monster with the same attribute, equip that card to this card, once per turn if this card would be destroyed by monster effect and has a monster equipped to it by its own effect. Destroy the equipped card instead and take no battle damage.

Malekeh's archeyype is my version of what ally of justice could have been, its focus is one getting one of the 3 attribute type monsters to the field and then activating effects based on the type.

Farzeenish, The Ferality of Man

FVXrgaR.jpg

D.M. effect: Once per turn during either player's turn, when your opponent activates a card effect. You can discard a monster and pay 1000 life points. negate the effect and destroy the card. then your opponent takes damage equal to the level of the discarded monster times 400.

Monster effect:
3 Beast-type monsters with different names.
This card is unaffected by spell/trap cards. All Beast-type monsters your control gain 600 attack during the Battle Phase. When this card destroys a monster by battle. your opponent takes damage equal to half of this card's and the destroyed monster's combine level times 500.

Farzeenish's ability comes from me not wanting to give him the simple idea of strengthening monsters with "animal strength". instead wanted to focus on the relentlessness of fertility and went with burn damage.
