Winter Creates a Universe (and other things)

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE YCM EDITOR. CAN YOU NOT MOVE MY TAGS AROUND AND DESTROY MY FORMATTING THANK YOU VERY MUCH. IT IS NOT THAT HARD

So, I’ve been formulating an idea for a My Hero Academia RP, except it isn’t really a MHA RP. At best, MHA provides the framework for the universe, but it isn’t a school setting. It takes place in the rest of the Quirk-filled world, with all the different agencies and important places. This also frees up the kinds of Quirks that characters can have, as they won’t be limited to those that would be able to pass an entrance exam.

I’m going to flesh out this universe in this thread here instead of making it a full-fledged RP. This is for a few reasons:

 • I haven’t completely fleshed out this world and it’d take me forever to finish an OOC, so I’ll just gradually work on it here.
 • There is already a MHA RP, and I’m a part of it too, so in my opinion, I feel like it would be poor form to start my own while it still exists.
Anyway, I’ll put the characters I come up with below, mostly as WIPs, and will gradually put together worldbuilding information. Perhaps down the line it'll end up as an RP, or maybe I'll stick it into Creative Writing.
x393wz.jpg
The IHA, or International Hero Association, is an organization which is funded by the UN that oversees all international hero operations. For example, if a hero in Japan were to travel to the US, anything they do would have to go through the IHA. If they're only there on vacation, they still must follow all Hero Codes for that country, and cannot operate as a hero without prior approval from the IHA. Non-compliance results in a court martial, and in some cases, the hero license may be revoked, and the hero will lose the ability to operate at all.

There are also heroes who are affiliated with the IHA who can operate in any country. These heroes oversee enforcement of all of the IHA laws and requirements, but may also perform hero work as deemed necessary.

x393wz.jpg
History: Kotsuma started out as a minor villain as a teenager in Tokyo, performing simple acts like theft and burglary. Gradually, he moved up to larger crimes, and even hopped borders, managing to travel all the way to Europe, which ended up putting him on the IHA’s radar. Surprisingly, he had never fatally injured any hero or civilian. This trait of his kept him in hiding a lot, on the run from the heroes that wanted to apprehend him.

While a fugitive, he found refuge in a small underground villain hideout, run by a mob boss who went by the name Katzen. She was like a mother to him, providing him shelter and food, but also teaching him to fend for himself. Under her wing, Kotsuma improved his usage of his own Quirk, and began working for Katzen as an enforcer. His Quirk and pale-white appearance earned him the nickname Nekromant. Despite his feared status, he still managed not to kill a single person, even as a mob enforcer, although he had removed a bone or two.

About five years later, Katzen’s hideout was raided by the IHA. As it had turned out, one of the members that Kotsuma had spared, opting instead to remove all the bones in his right arm, was suspected of being a mole, although Kotsuma didn’t know that. Katzen wasn’t aware of Kotsuma’s non-killing trait, and had sent him to deal with the traitor. After being mostly spared by Kotsuma, he went directly to the IHA and gave them all of the information that he could, which led to the raid on Katzen’s hideout. Katzen herself managed to escape, but almost everybody else there, including Kotsuma, was captured and detained. Kotsuma was sent directly to the IHA headquarters, based in Los Angeles, for extensive questioning.

For the first couple weeks, he was mostly unresponsive, not really caring about any threats they had. After a while, they kept him in solitary confinement for a few days. Upon coming out, an associated hero looked at him and commented that he looked like an anime villain. He was confused by that statement, as he had never heard of anime before. The hero, Slide, although she insisted on being called Missy, lit up at the chance to introduce someone to anime, and immediately dragged him back to her room, much to the alarm of the guards and other officials. With three guards standing outside, Missy and Kotsuma binged on three different series. This session sparked Missy and Kotsuma’s friendship, and Kotsuma’s later obsession with anime.

Missy’s friendship with Kotsuma ended up being beneficial to the IHA as well. She was the only one able to get information out of him at first, and she had to reward him with a new series to watch or a new game to play. Eventually, he stopped needing rewards, and was comfortable enough to speak to almost anyone. He earned his IHA position as villain consultant, and was even granted an “honorary” hero license, which grants him the ability to perform hero work, but only when supervised.

x393wz.jpg
Family: Kotsuma's birth mother abandoned him as a baby, leaving him with another foster family.

x393wz.jpg
Language: Japanese, English, some Latin and German

x393wz.jpg
Personality: Kotsuma is somewhat quiet, only really speaking when he has something to say. Although when he does have something to say, he’s definitely going to say it. Even if there’s no one around to listen to him, he’ll still speak, simply pretending that he has someone to talk to. He doesn’t really give any thought to how the things he says might sound to another person, oftentimes saying something ridiculous, rude, or perverted. Other times, he might spout something that is surprisingly profound, leading those around him to listen anytime he has something on his mind.

He is actually lazy, and spends most of his time holed up inside his quarters, watching anime or playing video games. The only time he comes out is when he’s summoned to a meeting or if Missy drags him to a convention. Because Kotsuma has spent so many hours watching a screen, his knowledge of different shows is vast, although he does like to try to mimic things he’s seen in anime, usually resulting in failure. Missy often brings him older and more classic shows to watch with him, while he generally keeps up with new releases.

Outside of his friendship with Missy, he doesn’t really understand how to form friendships or relationships, nor does he understand love in general. In such, he’s not particularly worried about how people see him, and doesn’t hesitate to tell someone something they might not want to hear. He’s also not very tactful with people’s feelings, either, and can’t really read an emotional situation very well.

x393wz.jpg
Occupation: As a former villain, Kotsuma works as a villain consultant for the International Heroics Association, acting as inside knowledge to assist in bringing down villainous organizations.

x393wz.jpg
Hobbies: Because Kotsuma isn't allowed to go outside without an escort, he spends most of his time playing video games and watching anime. He is very skilled with computers, and loves building PCs.

x393wz.jpg
Miscellaneous Info: Kotsuma's muscles are extremely weak, with the exception of his facial muscles. Without his Quirk, he can barely get up on his own. He owns seven body pillows, and once brought one with him into an IHA meeting. Missy found it hilarious.

Quirk: Bone Control and Calcium Growth

x393wz.jpg
Category: Emitter

x393wz.jpg
x393wz.jpg
Description: Kotsuma's Quirk allows him to control bones by touching them, both his own and those of others, as well as creating bone-like deposits on his body.

x393wz.jpg
 • Mainpulating Bone: By itself, Kotsuma's Quirk allows him to manipulate bone, either living or non-living, simply by contact. By default, he can manipulate his own skeleton as he pleases. To be able to manipulate the bones of another, he must make physical contact with the bone itself; touching the skin will have no effect. Kotsuma has the greatest degree of control on his own skeleton. He can use each bone as a weapon, forcing it to protrude from the body, and shape it as he needs. For example, he can have his ulna protrude and sharpen as a blade, or use his carpal bones as projectiles. Using another’s bones only gives him control over movement, and doesn’t allow him to alter its shape.
 • Movement: Because Kotsuma can manipulate and control his own skeleton at all times, he is capable of using his Quirk to control his own movement to a greater degree than that of a normal person. He can move at significant speeds with his Quirk, able to almost make it appear like he is teleporting. His skeleton is only slightly stronger than average, however, and moving and stopping too quickly can damage his joints.
 • Healing and Regeneration: Kotsuma does have the capability to heal some injuries. He can mend and repair bone structures, so long as he has contact or if it is his own. He can also form a type of protective bandage over any cuts or wounds. His body produces a calcium deposit that forms over the wound, which acts a sort of protective covering. This covering's structure is comparable to bone and coats itself in keratin, becoming just as hard as an animals horns.
 • Calcium: Kotsuma’s body can produce calcium deposits wherever he needs to. Generally used to cover wounds, he can also use it to create claws or small weapons that he can use for combat. These calcium deposits coat themselves with keratin and become rather hard, although this takes a bit of time. They also take on a dark blue hue once coated fully. There is a limit to how much calcium his body can produce, which is dependent on his calcium intake. This requires him to have a very high calcium diet, and he can be seen constantly eating raw uncracked eggs. However, if he doesn’t use the calcium he intakes, he has a risk of forming kidney stones.
 • Calcium Deposit Limits: At a bare minimum, Kotsuma can create a set of claws on each finger with about 2g of calcium. He can intake up to about 100g of calcium before his body begins to reject it. With his calcium deposits, other than claws, he also likes to create a tail that looks similar to a set of vertebrae. He gains full control over it, but if it is damaged or any part of it is detached, he cannot repair it or replace it. Instead of a tail, he can also create a set of wings, although they are purely aesthetic and have no real function.

Stats

Power - ★★★☆☆

Speed - ★★★★★

Defense - ★★☆☆☆

Range - ★★☆☆☆

Skill - ★★★★★

Teamwork - ★☆☆☆☆

x393wz.jpg
Quirk Mastery: A

x393wz.jpg
Fighting Style: Because Kotsuma can control bones and skeletons, he can end a fight once he can gain control of his opponent’s body. To do this however, he must be able to touch that person’s bone, requiring that he makes a cut or wound deep enough that he can touch bone. To accomplish this, Kotsuma adopted a sort of hit and run fighting style, dashing in and out using his increased mobility, and attempting to get small hits on the opponent to wear them down, before he can make a deciding blow. He can also use his bones as projectiles to chip at an enemy from a distance.

x393wz.jpg
Weakness: Because Kotsuma relies so heavily on his Quirk for motion, he is physically very weak. As such, he cannot take damage very well at all, and can quickly be incapacitated by a firm hit. He can be knocked out very easily by any head injury.

Tokizaku was also one of only 3 Quirk users in history to have a time-related Quirk, being able to slow his own perception of time. Noritsugu’s father, Kauzaki Modoki (神 戻樹) could desynchronize people’s eyesight if they heard him whistle, which was very useful in combat. Noritsugu’s mother died due to a malignant brain tumor that had formed from use of her Quirk over time. It eventually prevented her from using her Quirk altogether, and later spread to other sections of the brain. Kauzaki Afuru (神 感) possessed the ability to absorb people’s emotions by physical contact. The excess of chemicals in her brain had a negative effect on her and formed a cancerous tumor. Noritsugu also has a half-brother under a different mother, but neither of them know of the other's existence.

x393wz.jpg
Stats (Rated between 1-5 stars. Two stars represents average human capability, with the exception of the Range category. There are 18 points to allot to the following six categories. An explanation is not necessary.)

Power - ★★★☆☆ (Straightforward enough. Power refers to the character's general physical strength or the ability to hit hard. This is towards physical capabilities mostly, but can also refer to overall damage output.)

Speed - ★★★☆☆ (Speed has two main factors: mobility and reaction time. Quirks that buff movement will logically have a high speed stat, but characters with a high speed stat can also have Quirks that enhance reaction time.)

Defense - ★★★☆☆ (This refers to, well, defense. It's the character's ability to block, guard, or otherwise reduce incoming damage to themselves or others. It can also refer to a character's ability to resist damage and their general tankiness. Characters with high stamina and endurance will have higher defense ratings.)

Range - ★★★☆☆ (The effective range of the character's Quirk. One star is default; it's arms-length away. One star would be Quirks where you need to physically touch something to use the Quirk on it, or it can only be used on the user, such as for Transformation Quirks. Five stars is generally rare for this category, as it shows an infinite or near infinite range. Range doesn't only refer to physical reach in some cases. If a Quirk does something like enhancing the user's vision or hearing, then the enhanced field of vision is reflected in the Range rating.)

Skill - ★★★☆☆ (Skill refers to things such as accuracy and focus. How accurate the Quirk needs to be to be effective, how dangerous it is to the user or others, and how easy it is to use all factor into a character's skill rating.)

Teamwork - ★★★☆☆ (Slightly tied into skill, Teamwork is a rating of how well a Quirk can be used in a team-oriented setting. Support-styled abilities and abilities with low Power ratings will generally have a higher Teamwork rating, while more combat-focused and damage-heavy Quirks may not be suited for working as a team.)

x393wz.jpg
Quirk Mastery: A-E (How well does the character understand how his/her Quirk functions? Are they aware of its secondary functions? How well can they mitigate its drawbacks? Rank from A-E, with E being the lowest.)

x393wz.jpg
Fighting Style: (How does the character fight? Do they rely on their Quirk? Do they prefer hand-to-hand? A mix of both? How do they fight against another person? Do they like to rush in? Are they patient and wait for openings? Do they like to stay outside of the opponent's range? Are they a grappler? Do they like to hit and run? Be detailed here. 100 word minimum.)

x393wz.jpg
Weakness: (Nothing too much needs to go here. Just a weakness of the character in combat. Do they have a blind spot? An inherent weakness of their Quirk? Their body? Is it a personality trait? Are they overconfident? Do they get pushed into a corner easily? Do they overextend? Are they predictable and easy to read? For example, someone with a ranged Quirk might not do very well when their opponent is up close. Or someone with low mobility might have trouble closing the distance between a ranged Quirk user. At least 2 sentences.)

Quirk: Friction

x393wz.jpg
Category: Emitter

x393wz.jpg
x393wz.jpg
Description: Missy's Quirk lets her make any object completely frictionless.

x393wz.jpg
 • Removing Friction: Missy’s Quirk lets her take away an object’s friction, letting it slide effortlessly across any surface. She performs this by touching three of her fingers to the object (her index, middle, and thumb, specifically). Once the pads of her fingers break contact, the object loses all its friction and will act as so. It slides along the ground with minimal effort, and it also experiences reduced air resistance.
 • Releasing an Object: To return an object’s friction, Missy can release the effect of her Quirk by snapping the fingers on the hand she used to activate her Quirk. She can do it with either hand, although because she is left-handed, she has trouble releasing her Quirk with her right hand. The snap must be audible, which is difficult for her to do with her right hand.
 • Surface Area Limits: The amount of things Missy can affect with her Quirk is limited by surface area. In peak condition, Missy’s Quirk can affect up to 150m2 at one time, or just over 1600 ft2. On a normal day, however, her Quirk reaches only to about 100 m2, or a little under 1100 ft2.

x393wz.jpg
Quirk Mastery: B

x393wz.jpg
Fighting Style: In combat, Missy generally starts out by making one of her feet frictionless, letting her glide effortlessly around her opponent. If she’s in an enclosed space or on a platform, she can make the ground frictionless as well to keep her opponent from being able to move or stand. She also likes to keep her clothes frictionless as well, as a defensive move to be able to deflect attacks more easily. She prefers keeping in close combat, however, because she has been trained in disarming techniques by her father.

x393wz.jpg
Weakness: While Missy does boast improved speed with her quirk, her actual mobility is lacking. When moving without friction on one foot, she only has her other foot to be able to stop or turn. If she’s moving too quickly, she’ll injure her knee if she stops, or trip over herself if she tries to turn too sharply.
UQSywDV.jpg

x393wz.jpg
Height: 71 inches / 180.3 cm

x393wz.jpg
Weight: 122.1 lbs / 55.4 kg

x393wz.jpg
Physical Features: Amelia is somewhat tall, being just under six feet. Despite her size, she keeps herself rather lean, not eating very much to keep her weight down. She does manage to stay healthy, however. Her eyes are a light brown color, which many people can easily mistake for being golden. Her eyes match her hair, and she often keeps it down, letting it fall to her waist.

x393wz.jpg
Clothing: Amelia generally prefers to wear light or loose-fitting clothing, often opting to wear skirts or sundresses. She prefers to go with shades of blue, although highlights of other colors are welcome. During colder months, she wears leggings or stockings to keep herself warm, as her body doesn’t offer much resistance on its own. In terms of accessories, she prefers to keep things minimal, generally wearing small studs. Her nails are always some shade of blue, usually a navy blue.

x393wz.jpg

x393wz.jpg
Hometown: La Joya, California, USA

Status: Active

x393wz.jpg
History: (Describe your character's past. Where they grew up, their family life, etc. Mention things such as how their quirk manifested, its effects, and other things. 450 word minimum.)

x393wz.jpg
Family: Amelia is the only child of Anton and Darling Rhine. Anton Rhine worked as an executive at a hero insurance company, while his wife was a public relations agent for heroes. Anton's Quirk was Gather, which allowed him to draw in small objects similar to a gravitational pull. Anton's Quirk and his cleverness allowed him to move up the corporate ranks. Darling's Quirk was Flutter, which gave her an incredibly low body weight and allowed her to almost float in the air. Her Quirk didn't see much use in her work life, although she was one of the top performers in her workplace.

x393wz.jpg
Language: English, French, some Spanish

x393wz.jpg
Personality: Amelia loves to focus on her appearance, making her incredibly vain. She prides herself on her slim figure, and enjoys showing off sometimes. She does not like dirt nor does she like being dirty, and often showers up to three times a day. She carries around disposable gloves with her in case she needs them (she usually does). Despite this, she doesn’t mind sweating, so long as it is her own. She is not completely averted to dirt, however. If the situation requires it, she will move past her own issues and, although she won’t like it at all, get dirty.

In terms of interactions, she loves to embarrass people. While she does try not to cross a line, she will often tease someone to no end, enough to at least make their face visibly red. Because she puts so much work into keeping in shape, she does use her body to tease boys (and sometimes girls) as well. She is skilled enough with her Quirk to protect herself if anyone goes too far as well. She does also enjoy using her Quirk to mess with people as well. She'll have people carry her in a Light Stage, and then slowly switch to a Heavy Stage to weigh them down.

Although she carries herself well, she does have issues with self-esteem when it comes to her Quirk. Because using Heavy Stages effectively would require her to build muscle mass, she prefers not to use them at all, and in turn acts as if her Quirk is to only become light. This self-imposed limitation leads her to sometimes believe that she is weak and causes her to doubt herself. So in situations where she wouldn’t be able to use a Light Stage, she tends to hesitate before using a Heavy Stage.

x393wz.jpg
Occupation: Amelia is a full-time student at Valiance University of Heroics, although she does tutor in general studies on the side.

x393wz.jpg
Hobbies: Amelia does have her pilot's license, and flies her uncle's plane every now and then. She also enjoys flowers and studies botany in her spare time.

x393wz.jpg
Miscellaneous Info: She is absolutely terrified of snakes.

x393wz.jpg
Hero Name: "Floaty Hero" Lead Feather

x393wz.jpg
Quirk: Light & Heavy

x393wz.jpg
Category: Transformation

x393wz.jpg
x393wz.jpg
Description: Light & Heavy allows Amelia to either double or halve her body weight. She can use it up to 3 times, allowing for her to either cut her weight to an eighth or weigh eight times as much as normal.

x393wz.jpg
 • Changing Her Weight: Amelia's Quirk allows her to change her weight by doubling it or halving it. She can do this in three stages, with Stage 0 being her normal weight, Stage +3 being her max weight, and Stage -3 being her minimum weight. Changing her weight requires no activation; she can simply will herself to increase her weight at any time and her body will do so. Amelia can easily switch through Stages, although there is a cooldown of about a second between switching stages. Additionally, she can only shift one stage at a time, meaning if she's at Stage 0, she can only go to Stage +1 or -1 from there.
 • Technical: Amelia’s Quirk functions by altering the way that her body is affected by gravity. Specifically, she changes the acceleration of gravity, but only for her own body. This effect does not include her clothes, which is why she prefers to wear only light clothing. Because her Quirk changes her acceleration of gravity, and not her mass, she will fall faster in Heavy Stages and slower in Light Stages. Thus, in changing her weight, she subjects herself to 2, 4, or 8 Gs in Heavy Stages, or ½, ¼, and ⅛ Gs in Light Stages. Additionally, when in a heavy stage, she tends to fall faster than her clothes do, which means she has to hold them down to prevent them from flipping up and showing everything.
 • Light Stages: Amelia refers to Stages -3 to -1 as her Light Stages, as these are the stages that reduce her body weight. Amelia personally prefers to use Light Stages, as the decreased body weight grants her increased mobility, although she can also be sent flying very easily. Going down from Stage -1, she’ll weigh about 61, 30, and 15 pounds respectively. While Amelia does enjoy using Light Stages, she can't stay in them for too long. If she spends too long in a Light Stage, her muscles can become atrophied and her bone density would decrease.
 • Heavy Stages: Stages +1 to +3 are referred to as the Heavy Stages. These are the stages that increase Amelia’s body weight, going from 244 to 488 to 977 at Stage +3. In Heavy Stages, Amelia’s body becomes harder to move, both for her and an opponent. While she has increased defensive capabilities, she loses significant mobility and may have difficulty standing. She also prefers not to use Heavy Stages, as spending too long in a Heavy Stage will cause her to gain a lot of muscle mass, which she wants to avoid.

Power - ★★★☆☆

Speed - ★★★★★

Defense - ★★☆☆☆

Range - ★☆☆☆☆

x393wz.jpg
Quirk Mastery: C

x393wz.jpg
Fighting Style: While Amelia is capable of fighting without her Quirk, she much prefers to rely on it during combat. Amelia fights very patiently, and usually prefers to keep away from her opponent, using more of a bait and punish style of fighting. This means that she will often stay just out of range of an opponent’s attacks, sometimes coming in and out, to try to get them to do something reckless, which she can then take advantage of. She also is somewhat of a grappler, grabbing onto her opponents and using a Heavy Stage to bring them down or immobilize them.

x393wz.jpg
Weakness: Amelia's weakness in combat is inherent to her Quirk. In Light Stages, because of her incredibly low body weight, she can't deal much in terms of damage, and can be knocked away very easily. In Heavy Stages, she can't move very much, although she can't be moved very easily either. Heavy Stage also puts a lot of strain on her legs, specifically her knees.

x393wz.jpg
x393wz.jpg
Description: Amelia’s hero costume is rather simple. It consists of a light blue sleeveless top with a ring of feathers around the neck and around both of her wrists. Her midriff and upper back are revealed through a diamond shaped cutout of the suit. She also wears a slightly darker blue skirt that reaches about an inch and a half above her knees. It is hemmed with a white fluff, both around the waist and the bottom part. Underneath her skirt, she wears a pair of plain white leggings, with another ring of feathers on her ankles. For shoes, she wears simple dark blue flats, with a single feather on the toe of each. Overall, her hero costume only weighs about 3 pounds with all its equipment.

x393wz.jpg
Equipment: The back of Amelia's top, just below the nape of her neck, hides a small parachute, which is enough to nearly stop her momentum completely when in Stage -3, although she still does fall, albeit slowly. If she makes contact between the feather rings on her ankles and the ones on her wrists, she can pull out fabric which can form a kind of wingsuit, allowing her to glide while in a Light Stage.

Rank from A-E, with E being the lowest.)
x393wz.jpg
ZtauVaf.jpg

x393wz.jpg
Location: About 5 miles away from the Headquarters of the United Nations in Manhattan.

x393wz.jpg
Floors: 32 (20 above-ground)

x393wz.jpg
Description:

x393wz.jpg
x393wz.jpg
Main Security Checkpoint, 1F

Right through the main doorways is the main security checkpoint that every single person and thing entering the building must go through. IHA has over 100 highly trained security officers under its employ, and an average of 30 of them work during a single shift. All of these officers are led by Alexander Sigmund, IHA's Chief of Security. IHA prides itself on having zero major incidents in its headquarters due to their heavy security measures.

x393wz.jpg
Reception, 1F

The reception desk is the first place most people will go right after passing through security, and it's just past the checkpoint. Even the officials who work in the building will always pass by and greet the receptionist (during the hours she works, of course). There are only two different receptionists, as they are privy to certain sensitive information. One of them works Monday through Friday, from 9 in the morning to 8 at night. The other receptionist works on the weekends from 8 in the morning to 11 at night. During the night hours, or when the receptionist steps away for lunch, the desk is manned by one of the many security personnel.

x393wz.jpg
The Lounge, 3F

Consisting of the entire third floor, the lounge is where most officials go for lunch, or to spend downtime while in the building. The floor is equipped with a cafeteria, with food just as good as any restaurant, and has a wide selection of international foods and dishes. There is a cutting edge media center, with both games and movies, as well as few arcade cabinets of older games. Many staff events, such as holiday parties or social exercises, are held on this floor.

x393wz.jpg
Main Offices, 8F through 11F

The offices that span these four floors are the heart of the IHA and are key in its efficiency. With sections that deal with PR, international and local affairs, and data processing, these four floors are where most people in the IHA spend most of their working hours. Human Resources is located on the 10th floor. IT Support is located on the 9th floor.

x393wz.jpg
Kauzaki's Office, 20F

Rarely seen by visitors, Kauzaki's office takes up the entire top floor of the building. From here he oversee's all of the building's activities and reports directly to the UN Security Council. Important figures, such as ambassadors or heroes, are often met with in this office, discussing various affairs.

x393wz.jpg
Security Office, B1F

When he's not out on duty, this is where you'll generally find Alexander Sigmund. He oversees all of the building security from this building, and has complete control over the security system, though a lot of it is automated. Everything that goes on in the building is shown on the cameras that are displayed in his office, with up to 6 additional officers watching up to 3 screen each.

x393wz.jpg
Villain Consultant Living Quarters, B3F and B4F

The IHA employs former villains to act as inside knowledge to bring down criminal organizations. They are kept under heavy supervision, and are prohibited from leaving IHA premises without an escort. The rooms are very comfortable, and the occupants are permitted many things.

x393wz.jpg
Training Area, B6F

Heroes within the IHA keep in top physical and mental shape by making use of IHA's state-of-the-art training facility. Its underground location minimizes collateral damage from training accidents.

So I really like making characters with interesting powers and abilities, sometimes more than doing the actual RP itself. So this is where I'm gonna put a bunch of powers/abilities/quirks/stands/what-have-you that I come up with.

Everything's going to be added to this post, either as a WIP or as a completed set. None of it will be in any particular order.
Abilities/Powers:

Speed: ★★☆☆☆ (Refers to the mobility and speed granted by the ability. How fast they can move, how high they can fly, etc.)

Technique: ★★☆☆☆ (Refers to how intricate the ability is and how much skill is required to use it effectively.)

Intelligence: ★★☆☆☆ (Refers to the intelligence of the user. Varies from person to person.)

Cooperativeness: ★★☆☆☆ (How well the ability works in a team setting.)

Quirk Mastery: A-E (How well does the character understand how his/her Quirk functions? Are they aware of its secondary functions? How well can they mitigate its drawbacks? Rank from A-E, with E being the lowest.)

Abilities/Powers:
Sensory Shift

Sensory Shift allows the user to see and hear through another person. Having this ability also makes the user blind and deaf, forcing them to use this power constantly in daily life.

 • Activating Sensory Shift: To be able to use this ability, all the user needs to do is touch their target's forehead with her index finger. This leaves a blue heart-shaped mark on the point of contact, marking the ability as active and designating the target. Once this mark is placed, it cannot be removed as long as Sensory Shift is active. While connected to someone, the user's eyes take on a faint blue glow, and a matching heart symbol appears on their own forehead.
 • While Sensory Shift is Active: During Sensory Shift, the target feels no change, and can easily be unaware that the ability is even active. The user's sight and hearing become synchronized with those of the target. The sync is near perfect, with a lag of only about 5-6 milliseconds. The user acquires all of the target's visual and auditory capabilities, including defects. This means things like near or far sightedness, astigmatism, and tinnitus will affect them as well. Sensory Shift can also only have one active target at a time, and no new links may be created while an older one is still active. A Sensory Shift link may be maintained for as long as she likes, although the target does need to stay within a 5-meter radius.
 • Compatible Targets: Sensory Shift can be used on any living human, as well as a small number of naturally intelligent animals.
 • Terminating the Link: A Sensory Shift link can be ended at will by the user by touching the heart mark that appears on their forehead. A link will also terminate if either the user or the target is rendered unconscious, either by falling asleep or through trauma. If either the user or the target exit Sensory Shift's effective range of 5m, the connection will end as well.
Launch Pad

With Launch Pad, the user can create up to 5 squares of light in desired locations that function as jump stands. The squares are just under a foot, and vary in opacity. These squares can float in the air or be embedded on a surface. When touched, the pad will propel the user in the direction that it is facing, at a speed that varies based on the opacity of the square.

 • Initialization: Before using Launch Pad, the user must first initialize the ability. It's near instantaneous and requires no special movements, but what initializing the quirk does is create 5 small red spheres that exist around the user. Two will appear on the chest, two on each shoulder, and one on the back. These spheres represent the number of squares the user has left to create. These spheres will disappear once the user's feet are no longer on a solid surface. Every time that all 5 launch pads are used, or after he lands, the quirk needs to be reinitialized. Only 5 launch pads may be out at a time.
 • Creating Launch Pads: To create a launch pad, while both feet are on a solid surface, the user simply needs to look in the direction where they want the pad to be placed. A sphere will disappear and a pink square will appear where desired, with the angle and speed that the user chooses. Once a launch pad has been created and placed, its angle and opacity cannot be changed. Launch pads cannot be created while the user is in the air.
 • Angle and Opacity: Each pad that is created will vary in opacity, from being almost transparent to being near opaque. At the lowest opacity, a launch pad will only give the force of about a regular jump. At max opacity, the user can jump off of it at almost Mach 1, although doing that leaves them incredibly disoriented and unable to even stand for a few minutes. If the user pushes off as if jumping as they make contact with the panel, they'll move faster than if they had not. A pad will also only launch at one angle, and is not visible from behind. An object that is traveling in the same direction as the pad is facing will not have any interaction with the jump pad, and will simply pass through instead. To be able to interact with a jump pad, an object must hit the face of it at an angle of less than 180o.
 • Using a Launch Pad: If a launch pad is out, the user will be propelled in whatever direction it is facing when they touch it. A launch pad exists for only a single use, and will disappear afterwards. However, the user can also choose the target of a launch pad. It can be used on opponents and allies, either to give support or to create a trap. Launch pads can also be used on objects, although the rules behind it are different. If an object is moving towards a launch pad at a faster speed it would be launched at, the pad will instead disappear on contact and the object loses all momentum and will fall to the ground.
Momentum Absorption

With this ability, the user is able to absorb mechanical energy, convert it to potential energy, and store it in their body for a short time. This energy can be released and used when needed.[/s]

 • Mechanical Energy Absorption: By making physical contact with any solid moving object or person that has momentum, the user can absorb all mechanical kinetic energy, reducing the person or object's movement to zero. Projectiles that make contact will immediately stop and fall to the ground. There is no transfer time for the energy, and the absorption happens in an instant. Absorbing energy is a conscious action, and the user needs to be aware of an object that they are taking energy from. Kinetic energy is converted to potential energy and stored in the body. There is a limit to how much energy that can be absorbed at once, being at about 10 MJ. (1 MJ = 1,000,000 J. For reference, an average passenger vehicle traveling at 100 mph has approximately 1 MJ of kinetic energy)
 • Energy Storage: Energy that is absorbed is converted to potential energy and stored in the body. Energy that is absorbed and stored is measured in Joules (J) (For reference, an average punch has about 130 J of kinetic energy, while a bullet has about 900 J.) There are limits to the user's ability to store this energy. If the energy is not released soon enough, the user's body will begin vibrating rapidly, in an attempt to release this excess energy. This rate of loss begins after about a second of storage, and loses about 65% of the stored energy per second. There is also a limit to how much energy that can be stored at once. Once the energy stored goes past 5 MJ , the user's bones start to become brittle and may easily break. Past 6 MJ, they may begin to experience blackouts. At 7 MJ, bones will begin to spontaneously fracture, and may outright shatter. At about 10 TJ, the molecular bonds in the body begin to break down and the user will most likely die. (1 TJ = 1012 J, or one trillion joules.)
 • Storing Energy in Objects: In addition to keeping the energy in the body, he can also impart energy into objects as well. For example, about 10,000 J of kinetic energy can be stored in a baseball, and then released to cause it to fly in a certain direction. Energy stored in objects will dissipate at a rapid rate, losing about 85% of the stored energy every second. Different objects have different limits to how much energy can be stored in them. This limit is also affected by the structure and fragility of the object. For example, a baseball can store more energy that a glass orb. Passing an object's limit will cause the molecular bonds to begin breaking down, and cause the object to evaporate. Energy cannot be stored in other living things.
 • Releasing Stored Energy: Energy that is stored in his body can be released through the user's limbs, or imparted into another object, which will release from that object immediately and the object will fly in the opposite direction. The user can release energy into their arms for faster and stronger punches, or into their legs for mobility. It can also be spread out to release from the entire body, so the user simply flies forward. The user is capable of controlling how much energy is released, either a little at a time or all at once. Stored energy will still deteriorate, however, if it is not released. However, if too much energy is released into parts of the body, such as the legs, the recoil may cause bones to break or muscles to tear. If the user punches too fast, it can force their shoulder to dislocate and the ligaments and tendons in the arm to tear completely. This can be remedied somewhat by wrapping the wrists or wearing special braces, but this only reduces the recoil, and does not eliminate self-damage.
 • What Can't Be Absorbed: This ability basically absorbs energy from movement. But to absorb this energy, the user must make contact. And to make contact, the object needs to be solid. So things like the movement of the air when the wind blows, or a wave in the ocean cannot be absorbed. Other types of energies, such as thermal and light (photons), are also unable to be absorbed. Vibrational energy is only affected slightly, but not in a meaningful way. Because vibrations are small, rapid movements, while the user can absorb energy from it, the energy gained is so minute that he gains almost nothing for it, and the vibrations are not stopped either. The user also can't absorb energy from an object they is not aware of or not paying attention to.
 • Recoil and Self-Damage: While the limit of energy that can be absorb and store at one time is rather high, the amount that effectively or safely be used is not. Bones, muscles, and joints can only take so much stress before breaking, so while amount of energy can be collected and absorbed, putting all that energy behind something like a punch will obliterate the user's arm. Using energy to run too fast risks problems like hyperextension. And while punching something like a brick wall may hurt the hand a bit normally, punching it with a fist going 117 feet per second would shatter it completely. Recklessly releasing energy is a quick way for the user to be put out of commission.
 • Projectile Immunity: Any solid object that strikes the user, if they're aware of it, loses all its kinetic energy and falls to the ground the moment it makes contact. Things such as bullets, while nearly impossible to see once fired, can be predicted, so long as a gun is visible. Things that are not solid, however, such as lasers, fire, and even water, are not affected by this ability. The user is also susceptible to surprise attacks. In addition, solid objects maintain all other properties when making contact, namely temperature. In terms of solid projectiles that are controlled, either via technology or through a quirk, when the projectile loses its momentum, it must re-accelerate. So a controlled object can't simply be pushed through the user.
Damage Delay

Damage Delay will cause any attacks or strikes by the user to leave a shaped area in the air that will damage anyone that makes contact with it, except for the user, after a certain amount of time.

 • Using Damage Delay: Damage Delay is permanently in effect on the owner. If the user throws a punch or kick, or performs any kind of attack, that attack will be effectively "left in the air" for about 5-10 seconds. While an attack is in the air, it manifests as a barely visible polyhedral shape, red in color. For approximately 5-10 seconds, varying by the strength of the attack, any damage that would have been dealt by the original attack will be dealt to anyone who makes contact with the designated area, barring the user. Projectiles are not affected by a Damage Delay area and will simply pass through without any interaction. The stronger the attack, the longer the area lasts. However, a person can only be damaged by a single Damage Delay area once, after that, the area does no more harm to them.
 • Valid Attacks: The user can create Damage Delay areas with any physical attack performed by them, such as punches or kicks. Weapon attacks can create areas as well, so long as the weapon stays in contact with the user. Swinging a hammer or a sword around will leave like areas that damage enemies. If the weapon leaves the user's hand, or breaks, it will not create a Damage Delay area. Weapons that fire projectiles, such as bows and firearms, do not create D.D. areas. However, in certain cases, areas can be created by the firing mechanism of the weapon, such as the gunpowder explosion from a gun or the drawstring of a bow, although areas left by these have limited usability.
 • Stacking Damage: The user is capable of creating multiple Damage Delay areas, allowing them to stack areas to deal more damage to whoever makes contact. Time limits of stacked areas will synchronize to the first Damage Delay area placed, so that they all disappear after the first one does. The user is only able to create up to 10 areas at a time, thus only 10 can be stacked. Damage Delay areas created by bladed weapons, such as swords and knives, cannot be stacked, and bladed D.D. areas that intersect will only deal the damage of the strongest area at the intersecting points.
 • Limits to Damage Delay Areas: Damage Delay allows the user to have up to ten areas out at any one time. Once all ten are out, the rules for creating more vary under certain circumstances. If the user tries to create an eleventh Damage Delay area, the oldest existing area will be erased. However, if the oldest existing area is part of a stacked area, the user must wait for that area to expire before they are able to create a new area. However, if all 10 areas are in the same stack, creating a new area will erase the most recently created area and replace it.
Corrosive

Corrosive allows the user to secrete a corrosive substance in the form of either a liquid or a gas that quickly causes metal to deteriorate. It has different effects on living beings.

 • Using Corrosive as a Liquid: The user is able to create an acid that corrodes metal very quickly. A highly concentrated acid is produced from the sweat glands on the user's hands and arms, and if enough is built up, it can be thrown or smeared on an object. The acid will begin to eat through any metal it comes in contact with, although the amount of the metal that is dissolved is proportional to the amount of acid used. For example, about 4oz of acid can eat through about a cubic foot of iron. Heavier and denser metals are harder to dissolve than lighter metals.  Because the acid is created from the sweat glands, the user can't use this ability in cold climates or when they are dehydrated. In addition, overusing this ability will cause the user to become dehydrated.
 • Properties of the Liquid: Corrosive manifests as a foggy white liquid, with a slight transparency. As a liquid, Corrosive's acid is has a density of around 0.8 and is a polar molecule. This means it mixes with water and dissolves. While dissolved in water, the acid's corrosive ability is severely weakened, and is effectively neutralized. To stop the acid from breaking down a material, dousing it with water will effectively clean the metal and stop any further damage. In terms of viscosity, Corrosive acid flows slightly faster than water, and can flow through smaller spaces.
 • Using Corrosive as a Gas: Corrosive can also be used in a gas form. In this case, the gas is created by mixing carbon dioxide from the lungs with a special acid secreted from the salivary glands. When the two mix, it creates a new chemical that, by itself, is mostly ineffective. However, this new gas will react with the oxygen in the air to create Corrosive gas. In terms of corroding metals, it can dissolve much more than its liquid form can, however, it is limited by the areas that are in contact with it. Corrosive gas created by a single breath can, at ideal concentration, fill about 3 cubic meters of space at sea level. Because the gas needs to react with oxygen to become corrosive, gas created will lose concentration at higher altitudes, at at a point will be unable to react with the air at all. The ability also does not work in airless environments. The user must also be able to breathe and produce saliva, so if the user's breathing is restricted, tired, or if they are dehydrated, they cannot create Corrosive's gas.
 • Properties of the Gas: Before reacting with oxygen, the gas is a clear white, and is barely visible. It is a heavy gas, and will sink towards the ground. The gas does react to water vapor sometimes and forms droplets in the air at random. Once it reacts, however, the gas becomes a thick lavender color that is nearly opaque and severely reduces visibility. Once in a proper form, Corrosive's gas reacts only with metals to break it down. The gas is capable of dissolving almost 8000 Kg of metal per cubic meter in about a minute. After dissolving a metal, the gas leaves behind metal dust, carbon particles, oxygen, and various other elements.
 • Effects on Humans: While Corrosive isn't particularly dangerous to humans, it isn't completely harmless. In liquid form, contact with the skin causes redness, and prolonged exposure causes a rash to form. Ingestion of small amounts is only slightly harmful, causing mild irritation of the throat and slight heartburn. If a person were to ingest an excessive amount, it would induce vomiting, and may cause stomach ulcers. Drinking water can relieve some of these effects, however. As a gas, it causes irritation and drying out of the eyes. While pre-oxygen gas is mostly harmless, and has a fun side effect of making someone's voice deeper, after becoming Corrosive gas, inhalation can have very negative side effects. Inhalation of small volumes causes slight swelling of the windpipe, and irritation in the throat. If a person breathes in more concentrated amounts, or breathes it for an extended period of time, the trachea can close almost completely, and cause a person to pass out due to lack of oxygen. The gas has no effect on the lungs themselves, although they can block oxygen from getting into the bronchial cells. The worst side effect that Corrosive can have is when its liquid form is introduced into the bloodstream. Corrosive in the bloodstream will react with the iron in the blood and hinder its ability to create hemoglobin. This can stop oxygen from reaching the brain, and the person will effectively suffocate. About 250cc's of the acid (or about 8.5 oz) will force a person into hospitalization.
