Islamist theocracy elected head of United Nations Women's Rights council, UN is an Arab Stooge?

How ridiculous. For those of you unaware of the lovely tenets of women's rights that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has in regards to women:

• Women are not allowed to drive or hold a driver's license. This is because some elderly Muslim men with beards say it could hurt women's ovaries.
• Women can be executed for claiming rape, even when they hold evidence that sex was not consensual. 
• Women may not leave their house without a male chaperone.

In addition, Saudi Arabia is the primary founder and funds Wahhabism, a radical Islamic sect that many terrorist groups, including Al'Queida and ISIS subscribe to. People are stoned to death, whipped and even crucified under Islamic law. Murder can be paid off with "blood money". It is illegal to practice any religion other than Islam in Saudi Arabia. Non-Muslims are not allowed into certain areas of Saudi Arabia. Jews are banned from Saudi Arabia, as is anyone (politicians aside) with an Israeli stamp in their passport. Dw, Israel's the apartheid state though. This country is pure evil down to it's very core, it's corrupt and atrocious monarchy, it's 7th century belief system, it's funding of global terrorism. It is a cancer upon the world. So, how does this nation get elected to be the head of the women's rights council? How about a country like the US? or UK? Or any of the English speaking world where women are respected? The UN has been transformed into a bludgeoning tool by the world's worst players, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia and similar, against the West and especially Israel. The United Nations are about as United in the purpose of beating the West with purported human rights abuses, whilst allowing massacres, genocide and torture to happen under it's nose.  When formed, the United Nations had roughly 50 Member states with a blatant pro-Western, pro-Democracy and pro-rights bias. Now, the UN members 193 members, the majority of whom are either dictatorships, Islamic theocracies, or so undeveloped they have no right to talk on the world stage. Any institution where Iran and the United States sits on the same moral level is an atrocity in of itself. The UN is about as effective as a wet sardine at preventing incidents, yet expects everyone (especially Israel) to listen to it. UN resolutions are repeatedly ignored by many states, yet when Israel ignores one for her own survival, she is hounded by the UN like rabid dogs. Why? Because the UN now has a very clear Arab bias. Arabs, fueled by Anti-Western and Anti-Israel bigotry as proclaimed by their fabled book of peace, uses the UN as a tool to bludgeon a genuine democracy and a world technological leader. 

 

 Sadly, I can only see this increasing now that the Arabs have even more power in the United Nations (against the Jews and the most technological and accepting place on earth. UN tells Israel to go back to indefensible borders, ignores Saudi crucifying and Iran throwing gays off buildings, Zimbawbe committing actual genocide, and literally North Korea).

Yeah I was both shocked and bewildered when I heard about this.  It's as illogical as it is abhorrent.  I do agree that this is not appropriate, because of the state of women's right in the Middle East.  Specifically in this case, this needs to be changed right away.

The US dropped so many incendiary bombs on civilians that we were quite literally melting bone and skin for 2 day over Dresden. We have no right to comment on others.

the UN is still a joke, I see. I can figure out some ways on why they are justifying this, but most of those fell flat in the end because the decision is simply ridiculous. It's so nonsensical that I'm half convinced some form of oil money is involved somewhere here.

Honestly, as a woman, I'm pretty insulted by this. I really don't know what else to say other than it's in extremely poor taste. On the bright side the bureaucrats at the UN never get anything done anyways so I doubt anything will come out of this either.
