DARK

Level 8

Fairy/Effect

ATK 2800, DEF 2300

If you have exactly 4 "Darklord" monsters with different names in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If Summoned this way: Target 1 "Darklord" monster in your Graveyard, except "Darklord Kristya"; add that target to your hand. Neither player can Special Summon monsters. If this face-up card would be sent from the field to the Graveyard, place it on top of the Deck, instead.

Same story as Zerato's. Once it was an Archlord, but later, it became a Darklord. I have a feeling that we will see this one day, not necessarily with exactly the same eff, but we will. As it seems, Konami likes to transform every Light things to Dark considering the new Dark LS monsters.

You should make its effects and conditions require DARK monsters instead of Darklords, for a proper DARK counterpart :v

But really, it's just a Kristya that gets Darklord support from its name, since as Fairies Darklords can already play Kristya if they wanted. However, AFAIK they don't because the dominant True Kings shrug off the Special Summoning lock anyway. But that depends on the format and metagame, so in a different one that relies more on Special Summons, this could be a nasty addition for the archetype.

As practically a copy/paste of Kristya, the card is lacking in creativity; even if that's the intention, you should still spice up the effect somehow, IMO.

I wonder if this is a redundant effect, though. Archlord Kristya is already used in most of the Darklord builds I have seen. Seems just kind of like more cancer in a format that doesn't need it.

Like, Vanity's Emptiness got banned for a reason, because it hard locked your opponent. No Kaiju, no Mermail, none of that. Kristya is only during your turn, sure, but it's also a recyclable monster with good ATK. Having 6 of them would worry me.

All in all, it's nice, but seems like a hassle to fight. When it's archetypal and not, and works perfectly in conjunction with the other Kristya, that's where things become less barrier statue and more King Magnus. I don't know that it's necessary

It feels too based on OG kristya this cards purpose seems to be just a serachable version of it for darklords, nothing new or changed (almost). As stated above to match the dark counterparts it could be DARK monsters instead of darklords, about the lock it could block only inherited summons IMO so the darklord deck can still function properly with this on the field
