Tribal Inequity

[Normal Trap]

Declare 1 Monster Type; for the rest of this turn; negate the effects of all monsters with the declared Type.

Oh yay, Type-wide Breakthrough Skill (uh, roughly anyway).

Seeing as how a lot of Decks have become mono-Type nowadays (looking at you Zoos, True King Dino and some other Archetypal stuff), this could stop them from triggering for a while; former case makes them 0/0 targets to be run over. Yeah, it doesn't stop Decks from ED summoning (see Zoo ladder), but it turns off a lot of their effects. Hybrids are an issue, but then again, a lot of Decks are using said ladder as an engine for them, so...

Basically a monster Type version of Dimensional Barrier. You may as well go for a full copy/paste and also add the part that prevents the Summon of monsters of the declared type :v

But seriously, card looks good to me, almost as good as Dimensional Barrier I dare to say, and a great side card and meta call for mono-Type decks and formats, respectively; and all without being overwhelming because players still have the option of going for Extra Deck monsters of a different Type, even if they would be sub-optimal choices.

So this is Breakthrough Skill meets Rivalry of Warlords/Tribe-Infecting Virus? It's an okay card. Sure, it's a Normal Trap Card and it only lasts a turn, but you could run it alongside Dimensional Barrier, shutting down certain Extra Deck plays and your opponent's monster effects (activate before the Summon of Zoodiac Ratpier, the Monarch Squire cards, the A,B, and C machine Type monsters, ect.). You can essentially hinder their Normal Summons; which is crucial in some Decks. Perhaps resorting to them bringing out their Extra Deck monsters early just to not have an empty husk on the field.
