Idea about Link Monsters who serve as Pendulum Monsters as well. It's a couple that's designed to play off each other:

 

CODE:Alpha-Z and CODE:Omega-A

 

Both are LIGHT-attribute, Cyverse, Link-Pendulum Monsters with a Link material requirement of 1 Effect Monster. Each has a link marker that points north.

 

Alpha-Z:

ATK: 1000

Scale: 2

Effect: While this card has monsters linked to it: this card can attack your opponent directly. If this card is destroyed, you can place it in your Pendulum Zone.

 

Pendulum Effect: If you have a "CODE: Omega-A" in your other Pendulum Zone, cards Linked to this card cannot be destroyed by battle.

 

 

Omega-A

ATK:1000

Scale:8

Effect: While this card has monsters linked to it: this card can attack your opponent directly. If this card is destroyed, you can place it in your Pendulum Zone.

 

Pendulum Effect: If you have a "CODE: Alpha-Z" in your other Pendulum Zone, cards Linked to this card cannot be destroyed by Spell or Trap cards.
