Dream ☆ Dream

A Spellcaster/Psychic Pendulum mix, designed like pop idol groups: The Spellcasters are the performers, wowing the crowd with flashy combinations of boosts and battle effects, while the Psychics are the management, with practical if admittedly boring searching and negation effects constantly available. In fact, while the "performers" outnumber the "management" monsters by a significant amount, because pop idol groups can be absurd and huge, you absolutely need as many management monsters as you can cram into your Deck, because their Scales are godly useful even outside "Dream ☆ Dream" Decks. They do have several stage Field Spells, as well as Continuous Spells named after pop songs that help the performers do their thing, and Continuous Traps that help your consistency just in case you didn't start out with a management team member in hand.

 

 

 

Well . . . making a big archetype is going to be a big effort, and it's going to take some time to get the entire thing built the way I want it. So, here's a preview of how it'll function, with our first few cards!

 

Also . . . halp. I'm not well-versed with girls' names, so I'm going to run out of names for archetype members fast, even if I include the occasional random male member. Am I even allowed to do that?

Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Ms. Takeda

LIGHT - Level 5 - Psychic/Pendulum/Effect - 2100/1400 - Scale 8

Pendulum Effect - If all monsters you would Pendulum Summon using this card as a Pendulum Scale are "Dream☆Dream" monsters, your opponent cannot activate Trap Cards or the effects of Trap Cards in response to the Summon. During your End Phase, you can destroy this card in your Pendulum Zone: Add 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your Deck to your hand.

Monster Effect - If this monster is Special Summoned, you can add 1 "Dream☆Dream Stage" card from your Deck to your hand.

 

Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Ms. Iwasa

LIGHT - Level 1 - Psychic/Pendulum/Tuner/Effect - 0/0 - Scale 9

Pendulum Effect - If a "Dream☆Dream" Spell/Trap Card is activated, draw 1 card (You can only activate this effect of "Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Ms. Iwasa" once per turn). If you would Pendulum Summon 1 or more "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters, your opponent cannot activate Spell Cards or the effects of Spell Cards in response.

Monster Effect - If this monster is Special Summoned, you can destroy any number of face-up "Dream☆Dream" cards you control, and if you do, select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Target and destroy an equivalent number of cards your opponent controls to the number of "Dream☆Dream" cards destroyed.

●Add a number of "Dream☆Dream" cards, except "Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Ms. Iwasa", from your Deck to your hand equal to the number of "Dream☆Dream" cards destroyed.

You can only activate this effect of "Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Ms. Iwasa" once per turn.

 

Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Mr. Kawashima

LIGHT - Level 6 - Psychic/Pendulum/Effect - 2200/2300 - Scale 7

Pendulum Effect - If the card in your other Pendulum Zone is a "Dream☆Dream" card, you can increase or decrease this card's Pendulum Scale by 4. You can destroy the card in your other Pendulum Zone, and if you do, activate 1 "Dream☆Dream" Pendulum card from your Deck in your other Pendulum Zone (you can only activate this effect of "Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Mr. Kawashima" once per turn).

Monster Effect - If you Special Summon a "Dream☆Dream" monster, except by the effect of "Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Mr. Kawashima", you can Special Summon 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your hand or that is face-up in your Extra Deck (except "Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Mr. Kawashima"). You can destroy this face-up monster to Special Summon 1 "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster from your Deck (you can only activate this effect of "Dream☆Dream Recruiter - Mr. Kawashima" once per turn).

 

Dream☆Dream Songwriter - Mr. Iwata

DARK - Level 3 - Psychic/Pendulum/Effect - 1200/1000 - Scale 0

Pendulum Effect - The effects of "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters cannot be negated.

Monster Effect - When this monster is Normal or Special Summoned, you can add 1 "Dream☆Dream" Continuous Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand.

 

Dream☆Dream Executive Manager

EARTH - Level 7 - Psychic/Pendulum/Effect - 2100/2500 - Scale 11

Pendulum Effect - During a turn when this monster is a Pendulum Scale, you cannot Pendulum Summon, unless you Pendulum Summon at least 1 "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster. Negate the first Spell Card your opponent activates in a turn.

Monster Effect - You can destroy this monster in your hand to add 1 "Dream☆Dream" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Dream☆Dream Executive Manager". If this monster is face-up in your Extra Deck and cannot be Pendulum Summoned with your current Pendulum Scales, you can Special Summon 1 Pendulum monster from your Pendulum Zone, and if you do, activate this card in the Pendulum Zone that card occupied. You can only activate each Monster Effect of "Dream☆Dream Executive Manager" once per turn.

Pendulum Effect - "Dream☆Dream" monsters you control gain 300 ATK for every monster on the field.

Monster Effect - If a face-up "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster attacks or is attacked, all "Dream☆Dream" monsters you control gain 100 ATK times their Level.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Hitomi

DARK - Level 4 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 1500/1600 - Scale 7

Pendulum Effect - During either player's turn, if a monster attacks, you can target 1 of the battling monsters: Increase its ATK by 700, until the end of the Damage Step.

Monster Effect - If another "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, you can target 1 face-up monster you control: That target gains ATK equal to the amount of damage inflicted.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Asuna

WATER - Level 6 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 2300/1300 - Scale 2

Pendulum Effect - If a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control destroys your opponent's monster by battle, it gains 200 ATK, also it can attack once again in a row.

Monster Effect - This monster inflicts doubled battle damage in battle involving your opponent's monster.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Chitose

WIND - Level 7 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 2500/2000 - Scale 7

Pendulum Effect - If a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control attacks, all other "Dream☆Dream" monsters you control gain 100 ATK times the attacking monster's Level. If your opponent ends your Battle Phase with a card effect before all face-up "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters you control have attacked in a turn, you can declare an additional Battle Phase at the end of your 2nd Main Phase.

Monster Effect - If your opponent activates a monster effect during the Battle Phase, you can increase this monster's ATK by the ATK of the monster whose effect was activated, until the End Phase.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Sayaka

EARTH - Level 6 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 1900/1700 - Scale 1

Pendulum Effect - If you Pendulum Summon 5 "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters simultaneously, draw 2 cards. "Dream☆Dream" monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each card in your hand.

Monster Effect - This monster gains 300 ATK for each card in your opponent's hand, and each Set Spell/Trap Card they control. If this monster destroys your opponent's monster by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Emi

LIGHT - Level 2 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 900/600 - Scale 8

Pendulum Effect - If your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) during your turn, increase the ATK of all "Dream☆Dream" monsters you control by the ATK of the Special Summoned monster(s)

Monster Effect - If this is the first monster you control to attack in a turn, its ATK is doubled. If you attacked with 4 "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters before this monster could declare an attack, this monster's ATK is tripled until the end of the Battle Phase.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Junko

EARTH - Level 8 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 2900/2700 - Scale 10

Pendulum Effect - You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Dream☆Dream" monsters (This effect cannot be negated). If a Pendulum Summoned monster you control battles, your opponent takes 800 damage for each of their unoccupied Pendulum Zones.

Monster Effect - If you control a "Dream☆Dream Performance" Spell Card at the start of the Battle Phase, "Dream☆Dream" monsters you control gain 1000 ATK until the end of the Battle Phase. If this monster inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, you can Special Summon 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your Graveyard or face-up from your Extra Deck in face-up Attack Position.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Sadashi

WIND - Level 4 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Tuner/Effect - 1000/2000 - Scale 3

Pendulum Effect - Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can target 1 face-up monster on the field: Its original ATK and DEF are switched, also all effects that would change its ATK change its DEF, and vice versa (these changes last until the end of the turn).

Monster Effect - If this monster would be used as Synchro Material, at least 1 of the other Materials must be a "Dream☆Dream" monster. If a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control battles, you can switch the ATK and DEF of one or both battling monsters. If this monster attacked and is still on the field, it can declare an additional attack, using its DEF for damage calculation (you can only activate this effect of "Dream☆Dream Performer - Sadashi" once per turn).

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Ume

WATER - Level 2 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 1200/200 - Scale 5

Pendulum Effect - If a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control attacks, your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step.

Monster Effect - If this monster attacks, roll a six-sided die. This monster gains 200 ATK times the result, and the opposing monster loses the same amount of ATK.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Tomiju

FIRE - Level 6 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 2200/2400 - Scale 8

Pendulum Effect - Twice per turn, if a "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster you control attacks your opponent's monster, you can negate that attack and halve the opposing monster's ATK and DEF, then increase the ATK of the monster whose attack was negated by 100 and declare an additional attack with that monster.

Monster Effect - If a "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster destroys your opponent's monster by battle, this monster gains ATK equal to half the original ATK of the destroyed monster. During either player's turn, you can halve this monster's DEF to target 1 monster on the field: That target gains ATK equal to that lost DEF.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Nana

DARK - Level 7 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 2700/1400 - Scale 7

Pendulum Effect - Monsters you control gain 100 ATK times this monster's Pendulum Scale. You can shuffle 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your hand or that is face-up in your Extra Deck into your Deck, and increase or decrease this card's Pendulum Scale by the shuffled monster's Level, until the End Phase, and if you do, you cannot Pendulum Summon monsters this turn, except "Dream☆Dream" monsters (This change lasts until the end of the turn).

Monster Effect - You can target 1 face-up "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster you control: Increase its ATK by 100 (you cannot target the same monster with this effect of "Dream☆Dream Performer - Nana" more than once per turn). If this effect is activated 7 times while this card is face-up on the field, you can destroy this card and Special Summon 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your Deck with its ATK doubled.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Mari

LIGHT - Level 3 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 1200/1500 - Scale 8

Pendulum Effect - Once per turn, during either player's turn, if a "Dream☆Dream" monster is returned to your hand, you can Special Summon 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your hand. Once per turn, during either player's turn, if a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your Extra Deck, with its original ATK increased by 1200.

Monster Effect - During either player's turn, you can return this face-up monster to your hand to target 1 monster you control: Increase the target's ATK by 2000, until the End Phase. If another "Dream☆Dream" monster you control battles your opponent's monster, you can destroy this monster on your field or in your hand at the start of the Damage Step to increase your battling monster's ATK by the ATK or DEF of the opposing monster (whichever is higher) until the end of the Battle Phase.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Katsumi

FIRE - Level 5 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 2000/2000 - Scale 2

Pendulum Effect - You can select the targets of your opponent's attacks among monsters you control. If your opponent's monster is destroyed by battle during their turn, your opponent must discard all cards in their hand.

Monster Effect - If this monster is Pendulum Summoned with exactly 1 other "Dream☆Dream" monster (and no other monsters), you can Special Summon 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your Deck, OR target that other monster, and increase this monster's ATK by the target's ATK. This monster gains 400 ATK for every "Dream☆Dream" Pendulum card you control. If all monsters you control are "Dream☆Dream" monsters, your opponent cannot attack, except with this monster as an attack target.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Gina

EARTH - Level 1 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 500/1000 - Scale 0

Pendulum Effect - During each End Phase, increase this card's Pendulum Scale by 2. "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters you control gain 200 ATK times the combined Pendulum Scales of all cards in the Pendulum Zones.

Monster Effect - Once per turn, if a "Dream☆Dream" monster is attacked, you can equip 1 monster on the field to this card, except the attacking monster. This monster gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of all equipped monsters. If this monster is not equipped with a card, your opponent cannot remove cards from the field with card effects.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Cuifen

Monster Effect - This monster gains 300 ATK for every "Dream☆Dream" monster you control. Your opponent cannot target monsters you control for effects, except this one.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Hoshino

LIGHT - Level 9 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 3050/2550 - Scale 4

Pendulum Effect - Once per turn, you can send 1 "Dream☆Dream" Pendulum card from your Main Deck to your Extra Deck, face-up: This card's Pendulum Scale and Pendulum Effect become the same as the sent monster's, until the end of the turn.

Monster Effect - Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. You can Special Summon this monster from your hand or face-up in your Extra Deck by Tributing 2 face-up "Dream☆Dream" cards you control.This monster gains the effects of both cards Tributed this way. During your turn, you can Tribute this face-up monster: You can Pendulum Summon twice this turn, but all monsters you Pendulum Summon in the second Pendulum Summon must be "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters.

 

Dream☆Dream Performer - Varona

DARK - Level 4 - Spellcaster/Pendulum/Effect - 1200/1500 - Scale 6

Pendulum Effect - The first time a "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster you control battles your opponent's Special Summoned monster in a turn, the ATK of your battling monster is doubled until the end of the Damage Step.

Once per turn, you can activate 1 "Dream☆Dream" Pendulum card that is face-up in your Extra Deck directly into a Pendulum Zone.

 

Dream☆Dream Stage - Bustling Event

Field Spell

"Dream☆Dream" monsters you control gain 500 ATK and DEF. If a "Dream☆Dream" monster battles, and is still face-up on the field at the end of the Damage Step, you can Set 1 "Dream☆Dream Continuous Spell/Trap Card directly from your Deck or Graveyard.

 

Dream☆Dream Stage - Starcon

If a "Dream☆Dream" monster is Normal Summoned, or you Pendulum Summon only "Dream☆Dream" monsters, you can target 1 card your opponent controls: That target cannot activate its effects this turn. During the End Phase of the turn you used this effect, your opponent must either banish the target or give control of it to you. If a "Dream☆Dream" monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent: All "Dream☆Dream" monsters you control gain 300 ATK. Once per turn, you can increase the ATK of all "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters you control by 100 for every face-up card on the field. If you control 3 or more "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters, your opponent cannot activate Trap Cards or their effects during the Battle Phase.

 

Dream☆Dream Performance - Influence

Continuous Spell

At the start of your Battle Phase: You can grant a number of additional attacks among "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters you control equal to the number of monsters your opponent controls that did not attack during your opponent's last turn. If a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control attacks, all monsters you control gain 100 ATK.

 

Dream☆Dream Performance - Louder

Continuous Spell

If a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control battles your opponent's monster with higher original ATK, increase your battling monster's ATK by 1000 until the end of the Damage Step. If a monster you control inflicts 1000 or more Battle Damage, except with a direct attack, you can draw 1 card, and if that card is a "Dream☆Dream" card, you can Special Summon 1 "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster from your hand or that is face-up in your Extra Deck.

 

Dream☆Dream Performance - Shiny

Continuous Spell

When your opponent Normal Summons, you can add 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your Deck to your hand of the same Attribute as the monster Summoned. If a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, except by a direct attack, increase your Life Points by the amount of damage inflicted.

 

Dream☆Dream Performance - Anything

Continuous Spell

This card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects while you control another face-up Continuous Spell Card. During either player's Standby Phase, you can target a number of face-up Continuous or Pendulum Spell Cards you control, except this card, up to the number of "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters you control: This card gains the effects of those targets until the end of the turn. If a card that was targeted by this card is destroyed, you can activate 1 "Dream☆Dream Performance" card from your Deck. You can only control 1 "Dream☆Dream Performance - Anything".

 

Dream☆Dream Performance - Sky

Continuous Spell

Monsters you control must attack in order of their Level, starting with the monster with the highest Level, and ending with the monster with the lowest Level. If a "Dream☆Dream" monster you control attacked successfully, all "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters you control gain ATK equal to that monster's ATK.

 

Dream☆Dream Location Searching

Continuous Trap

When this card is activated, you can add 2 "Dream☆Dream" monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand. If you Normal Summon a "Dream☆Dream" monster, you can add 1 "Dream☆Dream Stage" card from your Deck to your hand. If this card is destroyed, draw 1 card.

 

Dream☆Dream Publicity Stunt

Continuous Trap

Cannot be activated during the End Phase. When this card is activated, you can reveal a number of "Dream☆Dream Performer" monsters from your Deck equal to the number of monsters your opponent controls, then, during the End Phase, add a number of those monsters from your Deck to your hand up to the number of monsters your opponent controls (banish all other revealed monsters). Your opponent cannot negate the activation or effects of "Dream☆Dream" Pendulum cards. If your opponent activates an effect that would negate a card, effect, or Summon while you control this face-up card and at least 3 "Dream☆Dream" Pendulum cards, negate that negation, and destroy the card this card negated.

 

Dream☆Dream Absolute Success

Continuous Trap

Pay 1000 Life Points. Once per turn, you can select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Add 1 "Dream☆Dream" monster from your Extra Deck to your hand.

●Add 1 "Dream☆Dream" card from your Graveyard to your hand.

●Add 1 "Dream☆Dream Performer" monster from your Deck to your hand.

That's the last update I see myself making for a while. 17 performers is a tiny idol group, but they still outnumber the management by a factor of 3, so . . . prompt answered?

 

Also, only three Field Spells, but I gave them a full album's worth of songs, assuming that all seven tracks are on the longer side.
