Ghost Shell

lv 1 DARK

Zombie/Effect

When this card is destroyed as a result of battle, Special Summon 1 "Open Ghost Token"(DARK/Zombie-Type/Level 1/ATK/?/DEF/0) to your side of the field in attack position, then, the ATK of the "Open Ghost Token" becomes equal to double the ATK of the monster that destroyed this card. You can only activate this effect of "Ghost Shell" once per turn.

ATK/0 DEF/2000

 

So basically Ghost Shell acts as a card you set so the opponent doesn't suspect what it is at first and when they do destroy it, out comes a 4200 or more ATK Ghost to cause chaos. A slow card but if activated can be quite powerful.

The need to be destroyed by battle detracts from it a lot, but the sudden appearance of a massive ATK Token can bring a reckless OTK attempt to a grinding halt. If you can stomach the damage, you could also ram it into an opponent's monster to get something even bigger to turn the tables with, but by this point I feel it's going into corner cases. The reactiveness of this card's effects make it difficult for it to find a spot in a Deck.
