Fish / Synchro / Effect

1 or more "Fishborg" Tuners + 1 or more non-Tuner "Fishborg" monsters

If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can send 1 WATER monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; choose 1 WATER monster from your Deck, and place it on top of your Deck. You can return any number of your banished WATER monsters to the Graveyard, up to the number of non-Tuner monsters used as this card's Synchro Material, then target the same number of cards on the field; destroy them. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can excavate the top card of your Deck, and if it is a WATER monster, Special Summon it. Otherwise, send it to the Graveyard. You can only use each effect of "Fishborg Sniper" once per turn.

Let's see:

Card A

Until Blaster gets himself unbanned, only ways you're making this are: Doctor + Archer and Launcher + 3 Planter, and the former is the less convoluted route. As such, you're really only getting to blow up 1 card on the field (and that's if you can return Doctor/Planter or whatever you use to summon this). Granted, it can set up for when it gets blown up but that's about it. Also stats are out of line concerning the baseline for them, however it is extremely specific in how you summon it, so...

Card B

Generic enough to work with either combination of the Tuners + non-Tuner (Planter + Archer, or Doctor + Launcher), which helps its case. Also another way to recur Generation Fish for further plays, and yeah, ditch stuff to be revived later for laddering (if necessary).

====

Voting for B in this case.

It's generic enough to work in Decks that can afford it, and extends plays for Gen Fishes.

A requires other Archetype/series members in which only one combo is actually viable, and that cuts into its usability.

Well, Superancient Deapsea King Coelacanth is a thing, and Card B's effect doesn't really fit Fishborg, since no Fishborg monsters specifically have Fish/Aqua/Sea Serpent in their card text. Card B is also generic, which doesn't fit Fishborgs' theme of only supporting WATER stuff.

but theme < usability anyway so idk
